CSCuf25963 - PI1.2 Health Monitor is running, with an error/NMS Server is stopped

Hi,
I am hitting bug, where the nms service stops atleast twice in a week and and then come back after 10 mins.
Does ny one know when there will be a patch release for this issue?

From the bug notes, it looks like version 2.0 and later will have the fix.
However, if the service stops and you have not changed the hotname/IP address from the original setup, this is probably not your bug.  You may want to open a case with the TAC.
If that is the case, follow the workaround instructions in the release note to update the information on the server.  (That is, from the root shell, update the file /opt/CSCOlumos/conf/messaging.properties with the correct IP address.)

  • Satellite A660-17T - PC Health Monitor shows problem with battery health

I have an A660-17T which I've had since November 2010, I've used it a fair amount but not always on battery, I'd estimate that the battery has between 10 and 20 charge/discharge cycles on it.
I updated the BIOS to v1.80 when I first got the laptop, everything seemed to be fine. Recently, within the last 2-3 weeks the health monitor software is reporting that the battery is in poor health, showing that the capacity is reduced to 40% of the original capacity. I don't believe this as when I do run on battery I get several hours usage.
I have today updated to BIOS v1.90, although there is no changelog that I can find, it just says "improved features" or similar.
Is this really a failing battery, or is it somehow that the software is incorrectly reading the value of capacity from the battery pack due to a change in Windows or some other change in the system? I can't see how a battery can run for the same amount of time it always did and actually have a fault.
Any thoughts? Should I go back to the retailer and report this as a fault, or is it worth waiting to see if a future OS or driver update fixes this?
    Thoughts welcome!

    Hey,
    > I don't believe this as when I do run on battery I get several hours usage.
That means you have the same battery remaining time as before you saw the error message from PC health monitor?!
In this case it seems that the battery is ok and maybe its just wrong information from the Toshiba tool. So I would recommend reinstalling PC Health Monitor that you can download from official Toshiba website:

  • While running with the nike   my playlist will stop and genius comes on, why?

When I run with my 5th generation ipod the nike + will just cut out.  Usually a lady's voice will come on and say 90s Music, Music Videos, etc.  (I think this is the genius).  Why is this coming on and how do i stop it.  is it because my sweat is shorting it out?

Try to download the application VLC.
It is a media player that should be able to play any audio or video file you may have. If your videos play flawlessly using that application, then the issue is with iTunes and Quicktime, as they are both essentially similar software types when it comes to playing media.
In that case you may need to install a plug-in file called Perian, in order for the videos to play correctly within iTunes or at least Quicktime...

  • One of my dll's in my vi doesn't run with the error "application configuration is incorrect"

I just installed LV2011 and one dll from my vi won't load with the error "application configuration is incorrect", which is Windows lingo for "missing package dependencies".  All the computers at my company with 2010 loaded seem to do OK.  When I do a Dependencies Walk I get missing Visual C debug dll's missing plus IEshims and wer which both have a whole tree of dependencies missing on my machine.  The Windows install is the same "Windows XP version 2002 Service Pack 3"  So I'm thinking I have to uninstall 2011 and go back to 2010.  Is this correct?  Those VC debug dll's were installed on the machines with 2010 in them but were not installed in mine.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Bare metal restore of full server backup fails with RPC error 0x800706BA (server 2012)

With Windows Server 2012, after creating a successful windows server backup (full server), I am unable to do a bare metal restore of the system.
EFI System Partition, C:, D: are the volumes on a single array (Raid 5).
Loading WinRE and launching re-image, the full server restore stops after completing the C: restore just after beginning the D: drive restore (data volume) with the error with the message about RPC error 0x800706BA, unavailable.
The system will not boot as a result of the failure.
    What may be causing this?
    [edit]
I think I have two things working against me here... one, Volume Shadow Copy service wasn't running in WinPE and two.. the D: volume contains data deduplication.
I think this is causing some of my problems.
Is there an additional service that I need to start in WinPE to get a volume that was deduplicated restored perhaps using wbadmin?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply Shaon.
The hardware system is identical; however, I am increasing storage capacity from 12TB to 16TB.  Basically, the system is the same, just new hard drives (4x4TB versus 4x3TB).  Drives are all identical enterprise class drives and I am actually using
the same system (backup, swap drives then restore).
I tried both using the WinRE restore (re-image) with the backup set, and tried using wbadmin.  Both produce same RPC unavailable messages (although using the GUI based tool via WinRE provides the additional error code #).
I do not have any idea what to look at to try to figure this one out.
    [edit]
I was just informed of this posting:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/147efccc-e0e9-4458-852e-c3a44ae5cb64/the-system-image-restore-failed-error-details-he-rpc-server-is-unavailable-0x800706ba?forum=windowsbackup
and in my case, this lab server does in fact act also as a DC as well as a file server...  do I need to spin up a secondary controller (perhaps in a VM on another machine) to do this restore?

  • Itunes 9 Upgrade. Installs OK, but fails to run with 'Unknown Error(-50)'

Been running Itunes versions 7/8 very happily. Upgraded to 9.0 today. After installing, which reported no problems, Itunes failed to run, reporting a missing reference in CoreFoundation.dll. I tried a re-install, but with no improvement. I the un-installed Itunes, re-imported the Itunes 9 setup file (88Mbytes), re-installed the product, and still it does not run, reporting a -50 Unknown Error.
Not exactly impressive! I'd be grateful for any ideas, including how to revert to version 8. Thanks, ju

Thanks for the pointer to the KB article. Error 1 is missing from the list provided by iTunes (more information), but I was afraid it means hardware. Will try on another computer, but I'm afraid the phone is sick.
    Thanks,

  • I have perl scripts that I want to be able to run with my iplanet web server 6.0. How can I make it work in Windows NT? (Because I have no problem when I use it with Linux).

    Hi Melanie,
In order to run a PERL script under Windows NT the iPlanet Web Server needs to know where to find the PERL interpreter.
    follow these steps :
    1) Make sure Windows NT knows what a .pl file is. In file Manager click on file and choose associate from the menu. Check the "files with extension" drop-down list for pl - if it exists verify that it is pathed to your perl.exe. If it is not already on the list click the "New Type" button. In the Filetype box put pl. Choose open from the Action drop-down list. In the Command box specify the full path to your perl.exe interpreter (Make sure to use short filenames, rather than long filenames.) Click the OK button. Then click the Close button in the main Associate dialog box. Double click a .pl file to test - it should automatically launch the PERL interpreter and feed it your .pl file.
    2) Create a directory to contain your .pl scripts.
    ~server_root\shell-cgi is a good choice.
    or \cgi-bin\
NOTE: Make very sure that this directory is NOT part of the document root, it should have it's own directory (preferably at the same level of the docroot).
    3) In the Admin Server select Programs.
    4) Choose CGI directory (normally) or WinCGI directory or ShellCGI Directory depending on ur choice from the Programs menu.
    5) Put the URL Prefix you would like to map to your Shell-CGI directory into the URL Prefix field.
    6) Put the full path to your Shell-CGI directory in the Shell CGI directory field.
    7) Click OK.
    8) The save and apply changes page will display your changes and give you the opportunity to verify them. If they are correct click the Save and Apply button. If not Click the Undo button and go back to step 4.
(9)You can then call your .pl scripts directly by referencing the directory mapping that you have just created. For example:
    http://my.server.whatever/shell-cgi/ myscript.pl
    this should work now.
    If not Pls Mail me.
    regards

  • BO Explorer Indexing Schedules running on a regular basis suddenly stop running with no error

    Hi everyone,
BO Explorer Indexing Schedules running on daily suddenly stop running,
schedule doesn't trigger even with new infospace indexing and also checked by re-schedule.
manual indexing works good, no issue with infospace.
we are using BO4.1 SP2.1 clustered environment and all the Explorer server are exist in one node.
    Server restarting everyday.
anybody have experienced this issue before? could you please support us to resolve this issue
    Regards,
    Ganesh

I found one of the note (0001749028) related to similar issue,  workaround mentioned in this note is applicable to BI 4.0 SP7 or BI 4.1 SP1
But our system is BO4.1 SP02 patch1. can we apply workaround mentioned in 0001749028 to BO4.1 SP02 also?
anyone faced this problem before in BO4.1 SP02?, are applied any workaround?

  • Project Runs With No Errors Compiled in VS2010 - Compiles But Will Not Run with VS2012 or VS2013.

I am trying to do all of my work in Visual Studio 2013, but I have found that, in one case (at least), if I compile the project in VS 2013 or VS 2012, I get the error "Could
    not load file or assembly 'NationalInstruments.DAQmx, Version=9.4.40.50, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=dc6ad606294fc298'
or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
Yes, I am loading a third party DLL and here's what is strange... If I compile it with VS2010, I have no problem - the program works correctly - no errors. If I take the same solution and load it in VS2012 or VS2013, it compiles cleanly and looks good (no
errors and no warnings) - until I run it.
So,  how do I get this to work with VS2013? And what changed? And with the number of developers in this company - it HAS to work with VS2010, 2012 and 2013 (different developers have different licenses), so how do I get that and how do I ensure that
future development does not have this problem?
The project targets .NET framework 4.

    Hi,
If the error occurred at a third-party dll, then it is out of support range of forums. Please consult your issue on the forums/communities provided by the third-party dll for better solutions and support.

  • How to delete old runs from Health Monitor?

I am looking at the 11G built-in Health Monitor (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/diag007.htm), and have found that each run needs a unique name (ORA-48600: HM run with name [Dictionary Check] already exists).
    I'm running them from the command line using a shell script - exec DBMS_HM.RUN_CHECK('Dictionary Integrity Check', 'Dictionary Check');
I want to run these monthly, and although I can create unique names that are date-stamped, over time these will build up.
Does anyone know how to delete the old runs?
There is no option from the command line in the documentation, or anywhere in OEM (12c) to delete them.
    Thanks.

  • Satellite P855-108 - PC health Monitor fails to update - Windows 8.1 update

    Hello,
today updated to win 8.1 from a one year old windows 8, everything went fine
Then I followed Toshiba recommendations for updating the tools but despite doing exactly as explained the flash cards(and the functions buttons) are not functioning, they worked perfectly in win 8!
_The only utility that fails to update is PC health monitor,_ the version installed is 1.9.04.6402 and the one from support site for win 8.1 is 1.9.09.6400, when trying to install it fails with error message "not support"
When trying to open the installed health monitor there is also an error message "can`t get the bios type".
This is strange and every other utility recognizes the latest bios version 6.70 an the laptop`s details an serial
I tried all I could think about, installed flash card support tool from win 8, enabling and disabling in the bios, even installed VAP for win 8 but no change
Any help would be highly appreciated
Latest system driver and other tools are installed
    Thanks in advance

Sorry for taking space on the forum,
_In case anyone is facing the same problem I managed to find a solution by my self,_
*it was caused by the old version of PC health monitor,*
    uninstalled, updated to latest version
Now Function key utility and everything works as supposed, _the latest Health monitor also works fine_

  • Error trying to Connect to WSE 2012 R2 with Connector Software - The server is not available

I had to completely reset my MS Surface Pro 3 due to virus activity, so it was wiped and reinstalled. It had previously connected to the Server without
hiccup. Ever since doing this I cannot reconnect using the SERVERNAME\Connect process - it continually fails. I have reviewed the forums and web for a week trying different solutions to no avail. I would appreciate it if someone could advise?
    I have:
Ensured that the Connector Software update is not installed from Installed Updates
Checked the Bindings in IIS Manager against the WSS Certificate Web Service and it is set to SERVERNAME.
Ensured my time on the Client is synchronised
Tried connecting using the original PC-Name and when that didn't work, I have tried a new name and removed the old device from the server.
I have ensured that I am on a Workgroup.
The install process finds the server sets up connector and asks for my network user name and password and then continues for a fair time until it
    comes back with the error”:
"The server is not available/ Try connecting this computer again, of for more information, see Troubleshoot connecting computers to the server.”

I am running a Telstra ADSL modem with a separate Cisco router and Netgear Switch.
I would appreciate any help I can get please as I am a novice and do not understand a lot about the certificate and DNS errors.

Would you please try manually set the DNS address on client NIC to the IP of your server, then try run the connector again?
