CSD - Distinguish Iphone OS and Mac OS

Hey everyone,
Using Cisco Secure Desktop (CSD) would it be possible to distinguish if a user using Anyconnect is connecting from an Iphone (Iphone OS) or from a Macbook (Mac OS) ?
I haven't found the answer so far. CSD doesn't seems to distinguish it.
Here are the OS that CSD checks :
Win 2K/XP/Vista
Win 9x
Mac
Linux
Failure
I use the version 3.6.6234-k9 of CSD.

You could do Endpoint Assessment for iOS as well using CSD's hostscan feature integrated with Dynamic Access Policy (DAP) feature.

Currently, there is no option available for checking iOS using CSD's Pre-login policy feature.

You can transfer the purchases you made on your old iPhone 3 by plugging it in to iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from your IPhone to the iTunes on your computer. This will get music you purchased in iTunes, apps, etc. (e.g., movies).
But for the rest you would need to restore a backup of your newly deceased computer.

My area of interest is in business and economic history. There is a considerable amount of reading and charting. Until the iPad hit the streets, I only considered stacks of books, journals, and downloaded documents, all marked up with highlighters, underlines, and marginal notes.
Most of my PC based work involved MS Office, Endnote, and MS OneNote.
What I would like to do with the iPad and MacBook are the same things (Office, Endnote, OneNote) and add the ability to read and markup all forms of printed materials from books to pdf to webpages.
I cut my teeth on an iPod Touch and have tried a lot of the note taking and reading apps. Without a camera the standard iPod Notes works for short quick notes and long think pieces. I just emailed the content and downloaded the stuff to my PC. Obviously, I do not want to continue at this "non-integrated" level of work.

The Mac Pro - the desktop computer - does not support Airdrop, if that's what you mean.

Can't get mail. Won't recognise user name or password used OK on iphone 4 and mac

Just got ipad 2. Set up Mob. Me account OK and also wife's TalkTalk email account - both work fine. Input my Tiscali account OK but for incoming mail get message "can't access mail. User name or password incorrect".This not true as iphone 4 and mac work fine with exactly same settings. Sending mail is no problem. Any ideas?

Basically iCloud will do it for you.
All you have to do on your iOS devices is login to your iCloud account and enable mail synchronisation, iCloud will do the rest.
Your profile states that you are using OS X 10.5.8, which cannot run iCloud. If this is the case, you can still use iCloud mail, but will have to enter the details manually.(iCloud requires OS X 10.7.2 or better on a Mac)
Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

Are the 2 copies in the Inbox downloading at the same time or separately?
Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

ridiculous question.
i have the iphone 3gs and am on the brink of purchasing the iphone 4.
my question: will the new iphone 4 phone sync normally with my macbook with osX 10.4.11 without a hitch?
the reason i ask is because when i purchased the ipad, it would not sync with the osX10.4.11. i had to sync my ipad on my wife's imac which had a more recent operating system. total bummer.
i've never had any other problems when i've purchased previous iphones and synced them with my macbook osx10.4.11, but i don't want to run into any surprises AFTER i purchase the iphone 4.

To add to the excellent advice you have received so far, here's how I would recommend you back up your system.
1) Buy an external hard drive about twice the size of your internal drive (Firewire if you have a Firewire port on your Macbook; USB if not), and download and run Carbon Copy Cloner to copy everything from your internal drive to the new drive.
2) Leaving the external drive attached, reboot your Mac and keep the Option key held down when the screen goes black. If the clone has worked, you'll see two startup options - the internal and external drives. Choose the external drive to test that the backed-up system works correctly.
3) Disconnect the external drive when you run the 10.6 upgrade. If the upgrade works, use it for a few days to ensure everything runs OK.
4) Connect the external drive again; use Disk Utility to erase and reformat it, and set it up as a backup drive using Time Machine (which comes with 10.5 and 10.6). You'll now have automated backups as long as the drive is connected.
