CSM 4.7 Report Manager User Report Issue

Hi,
Since we upgraded CSM 4.7 from 4.6, suddenly Report Manager is unable to generate VPN User Report, same as Connection Profile Report and VPN Device Usage Report, error message shows below. However, under FW-Summary Botnet (Top Destination, Top Services, Top Sources) those reports are fine. If I ran older than the time we upgraded 4.7 (like last week, last month) I could get the data, only right after the upgrade, no data since then. We opened a TAC ticket, but they could not resolve it and said it is a known bug, also applied patch which did not work either. In Event Manager, it has all the event logs, and Configuration Manager seems to show Event Manager setting correct as well. Anyone has encounter this issue and has solution? Please help, thank you!

  • Performance Report Manager Data Collection Issues

I have an agent running and collecting data in a circular file.... history.log
Data Collection has failed approximately 6 days ago without warning. I have tried to find out the issue and have not had any success.
If I open the Data Collection Window in PRM I see a Yellow triangle beside the hostname:port.
If you can provide any information as to what to look for, please reply.

history.log may be corrupted. If you run it through ccat to flatten it does it show any recent (i.e. newer than 6 days) entries?
If ccat gives errors then just move it out of the way (i.e. rename it to history.log.busted) and restart your Agent. A fresh log will be created. Give it a couple hours to make a couple flushes of data to your SunMC Server and see if PRM works.

    Thank you for your support.
I have a Vista laptop that cannot connect to Report Manager URL. Same Windows account on an XP machine works just fine.
Note: - Reporting Services is not installed on Vista machine , this is a client that connects to a SQL Server 2008 R2 and Reporting server instance.
On Vista workstation, I tried diabling UAC, tried Run As, added trusted sites, other browsers, IP/FQDN/name changes in URL. - no change.

    Hi Macca,
Per my understanding that you got the error message when access the report manager in the client vista machine which have't install the reporting services instance and access to the Windows XP machine works fine, right?
I assumed that you have installed the Reporting Services instance in this WIndows XP machine, Could you please check in the third machine with the vista os to see if you will got the same error message.
The issue can be caused by many factors:
If the third machine can connect to the report manager remotely, the issue can be caused by this vista machine.

If the other machine also can't access the report manager, the issue caused by some configuration not correct for the remote connection(https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms156305.aspx)
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008, you must configure Report Manager for local administration, please check to make sure the "Service Account" is the domain/user account which exists in the local administrator group.
Please check the rsreportserver.config file and make sure <RSWindowsNegotiate/> is the first value in <AuthenticationTypes> section. By default, the rsreportserver.config file is located in the path like: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting

  • SSRS 2012 multi select parameter not working in Report Manager.

    Hello,
I have one report with Multi select parameter. its working fine in bids, report server but I am facing some issue on report manager 2012.
Issue is, In Multi select parameter I have Suppose 6 value a,b,c,d,e,f  after the deployment on report manager for the first time report is working fine with selecting all the value. but for the second time if my selection include either
a or f report gives no result and check box get unselect.
I also try on different report manager but same result.
what can be a issue here causing problem only for two value but working fine for other value?
    Thanks,

    Hi Javed,
The Issue is with when you click on View Report button of Report Manager for Parameters which contain CHAR(10) and CHAR(13).
Where ever that Column is used in Report Data Set ,
    Use replace(replace(Param,char(10),''),char(13),'')  function.

  • Recieving Error Viewing Reports in Report Manager

I am receiving the following error trying to view a report in Report Manager and Reporting Services:  "
Your browser does not support scripts or has been configured not to allow scripts"  I have ensured that scripting is enabled and added the site to my trusted sites and still does not work.  What am I missing?  I am using SQL Server 2008
R2.  My reports work fine in a test windows application, but not in the browser.
I can see the header and footer of the report and the toolbar, but the body is empty.  It's only when I select view source that I see the error.
Here is the complete error when I View Source:
    <noscript>
&nbsp;Your browser does not support scripts or has been configured not to allow scripts.
    </noscript><span id="ctl31_ReportViewer"><div id="ctl31" onclick="if ($get('ctl31_ctl04') != null &amp;&amp; $get('ctl31_ctl04').control != null) $get('ctl31_ctl04').control.HideActiveDropDown();" onactivate="if ($get('ctl31_ctl04') != null &amp;&amp; $get('ctl31_ctl04').control != null) $get('ctl31_ctl04').control.HideActiveDropDown();" style="height:100%;width:100%;">

I even get these errors in a test web application, even though scripting is enabled and my httpHandlers are defined in my web config for both system.web and system.webserver.

    Hi Christie Tremblay,
Based on your description, you are experiencing the issue when you trying to view a report in Report Manager and Report Server, you got the error message ”Your browser does not support scripts or has been configured not to allow scripts” and “The Report
Viewer Web Control HTTP Handler has not been registered in the application's web.config file”, but the report work fine in the test in the test windows application, right?
If you use IIS 7.0 in Integrated mode, you must keep the HTTP handler that applies to your IIS version in its respective section. If you remove or modify the HTTP handler configuration settings, the ReportViewer Web server control in your Web form will display
the error message ”The Report Viewer Web Control HTTP Handler has not been registered in the application's web.config file” that tells you to add it back to the respective section in the web.config file.
In your scenario, the issue may occur due to one of the following factors:
Incorrect Web.config settings for ReportViewer control
Incorrect report path typed into the ReportViewer control
Improper Managed pipeline mode of the Application Pool
Open the IIS Manager, verify the Managed pipeline mode is set to Classic not Integrated.
For the error “your browser does not support scripts or has been configured not to allow scripts” can be caused by the browse you are using not support to open the Report Server and Report Manager:

  • How to define a report manager ?

    Hello Friends,
I'm a newbie to Oracle Apps R12. I have created a user TEST and have assigned responsibilities : General Ledger User, General Ledger Super User, Financial Management, Report Manager, Report Manager Public Reports.
But when i try to run the report 'Chart of Accounts - Account Hierarchy', i get the following error.
    Phase : Inactive
    Status : No Manager
    Request ID : 4348352
Diagnostics : This request will not be processed because there are currently no managers running that can process it. This is an error condition. There are one or more managers defined that can process this request that should be running at this time, but do not appear to be running. Contact your system administrator and/or check the manager log files for errors.
I guess i need to have a report manager. And i read the following somewhere,
" The Report Manager seeded functions need to be assigned manually by the System administrators to appropriate responsibilities based on the types of reports a user submits and publishes in their job. For example, a system administrator might assign the Financial Report Template Editor and Financial Report Submission functions to an existing General Ledger responsibility already used for submitting Financial Reports by General Ledger users."
But my question is how do i add functions to a existing responsibility.
For starters, i need to be able to run an existing report.
    Pls guide me.
    Thanks,
    Amol

The Standard manager and the Conflict Resolution manager and most of other managers have now started. It was only that the Node value was not defined for these managers. I updated it and they were activated.
Please excuse me as being a beginner, my questions may seem silly.
Now, how do i view a report output after submitting a report request ?
Will the output appear as a link and where? If i can specify it, where do i specify it ?
What Responsibility do i need to assign to the user to be able to view the output?
I am reading the Oracle Report Managers User Guide, its just that i'm not being able to map the theory and practical that accurately (lack of screenshots in the docs). So, a few practical operational tips will surely help me a lot in this regard.
In the documentation its said that "The system administrator assigns Report Manager menu items to various responsibilities. Following are the available menu items:
    • Financial Report Submission... etc "
But i could not assign the Financial Report Submission responsibility to my Test user in Sysadmin login. The said Report Manager responsibilities were not available in the LOV.
    Thanks.

  • Oracle standard reports (non FSG) using Report Manager

    Hi,
I was wondering if Oracle standard report (non FSG reports) can be run/published from Report Manager. If yes, can somebody provide me the steps to run/publish these reports?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks
    Sam

    Sam,
I have never tried this believe but I think it is not possible (I am not referring to standard concurrent programs which are submitted through WebADI/ADI). You may give this a try by assigning certain module/application and make it print to this concurrent manager and see if it works.
BTW, what is the point of running standard concurrent requests on Report Manager?

  • Oracle Report Manager & BNE

Could anybody explain me in shortly what are Oracle Report Manager (FRM) and Web Applications Desktop Integrator (BNE) used for ?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Oracle Report Manager is an online repository for storing and viewing reports. Report Manager provides a secure and convenient location to access point -in-time reports published or uploaded to a database. You access secured reports through your Personal Home Page (Self Service Applications home page and Oracle Portal page). Public (non-secured) reports can also be accessed through the Report Manager Public Home Page. Oracle Report Manager users can be either report producers or report consumers. Report producing users publish, upload, and set security for reports. Report consumers view, download, and approve reports.

Web ADI brings Oracle E-Business Suite functionality to a spreadsheet, where familiar data entry and modeling techniques can be used to complete Oracle E-Business Suite tasks. You can create formatted spreadsheets on your desktop that allow you to download, view, edit, and create Oracle E-Business Suite data. Data entry shortcuts (such as copying and pasting or dragging and dropping ranges of cells) or even using formulas to calculate amounts, can all be used to save time. You can combine speed and accuracy by invoking lists of values for fields within the spreadsheet.

ReportManager and reportServer has defualt virtual folders  (/reporting, /reportserver)
    My problem is:
    1) I can't manage security roles and site settings with report maanger. when I try assign roles to new user or group I get followng error:
"The user or group name 'BUILTIN\Administrators' is not recognized. (rsUnknownUserName) Get Online Help"
when i try to execute reports in report manager, parameters controls are not displayed correctly (very simple text boxes) and I can see:
The selected report is not ready for viewing. The report is still being rendered or a report snapshot is not available. (rsReportNotReady)
and I can't see my report in browser (IE 6.0) but only export to PDF, Excel...

    Hi Wojtek
I just wanted to know if you found a solution for part (1).  I just recently encountered the problem where:
"when i try to execute reports in report manager, parameters controls are not displayed correctly (very simple text boxes) and I can see:
The selected report is not ready for viewing. The report is still being rendered or a report snapshot is not available. (rsReportNotReady) "
However all my reports are run from the most recent data.  The rsReportNotReady message appears in Report Manager but not the Report Server interface; the latter is able to render the reports.   But both have incorrectly displayed textbox inputs.
    Thanks

  • "Manage Users" IR report displaying incorrect user types

    Home>Administration>Users
    APEX 4.0.2.00.07
    DB 11.2.0.2
Found a couple of question-raising things:
    1) User type is showing "Workspace Administrator" for almost all users (many are only users) with a couple identified as "Developer" (who really do only have developer privs turned on). If I knew the sql for the IR report I might find the problem - checked wwv_flow_fnd_user and wwv_flow_developers and they both look OK (no recs in wwv_flow_developers for the end users and those with given admin privs are marked as admin, etc.). Did find one dup group name but removing it didn't seem to have an effect.
    2) Trying to find out what is going on I found the second: It appears that if you have assigned more than one group to a user (apex group to apex user), then add the group_name column to the Manage Users IR, you get the "single row subquery returns more than one row".
Haven't found any other posts here on this. Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Steve

Thanks Richard - forgot about the builder import.
After taking the IR sql and working it I found the following:
    In this apex installation...
There seems to be a problem with the outer join between wwv_flow_developers and wwv_flow_fnd_user which brings non-null values for d.is_admin and d.is_developer (and for us these are 'Y' if there are no matching records in wwv_flow_developers.
Changing the decode for DEV_TYPE to use a nvl for d.userid to set all users to end user if they are not in the wwv_flow_developers table fixes the display of user type.
Now I am guessing this is a data anomaly rather than a bug. Anyone have any ideas on why the outer join to wwv_flow_developers shows a not-null value for is_admin and is_developer?

  • Report manager crashes when users print

We recently changed from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008 we running Windows Server 2008 for some reason one of the users is unable to print on the report manager.  Every time he clicks on the print button IE explorer 10 crashes.  he is the only user so far
that has this issue.  does anyone know what i can do to fix this.
    thank you

Try deleting the ActiveX control on their computer through Internet Options and having them try clicking the print button, which should initiate it to reinstall.  You could also try turning on the "Compatibility View" in IE to see if that helps.
