CSM IPS Manager doesn't display IPS sensors.
I am doing inital configuration of the CSM v3.0 The IPS sensor 4250xl that I have added to CSM doesn't show up in the IPS Manager. Moreover, the Devices->Sensor window doesn't appear to be displayed correctly - there is a browser icon indicating missing content.
Any ideas what may be the issue. Thanks.

R61 power manager doesn't display power schemes nor allow me to change them
Power manager installed on my computer does not allow me to change the power schemes nor does it even display preinstalled power schemes. I assume it is currently using the default power scheme. I do not have a password for windows nor for client security solution software. So i thought that is not why it is preventing me from access.
I am using windows xp sp2 , have installed the latest bios for windows xp, but not sure whether the think vantage technologies are the latest .
help is much appreciated.Hello memman, welcome to Lenovo forums!

Power manager doesn't display - so I can't get rid of the power change beep...
Hi everybody,
I just got the X200 laptop, like it very much except for the annoyingly loud beep when the system goes into stand-by. Looking trough this forum I tried many things, like changing the sound settings in regedit to 'no' and disabling the 'beep' plugin in the system settings. No luck so far. An other solution (that sounds useful) is disabling the 'beep on power changes' option in the Power Manager. But...when I open the Power Manager, it displays the welcome/info screen and then disappears! How can I get into the Power Manager??
Hope someone can help...
Cheers,
HannekeThat's a strange one. Run Thinkvantage System Update, or just download and install most recent PM driver and software. Maybe refreshing these will give you PM back. Otherwise, I believe you may also have a setting in the BIOS for the beep. Not in front of my X100 now, but I know I have this setting on my X60s.

BI7 Query in Solution Manager doesn't display chars
Hi All,
I've just created a new query in Solman 7.01 SPS31 using SAP GUI 720 and BEx Analyzer BI AddOn 7.X SP10.
But when I run the query in Excel 2007 I get all the key figures but no values for any of the characteristics, either those in the query or those in the free characteristics. I've tested this on new queries and queries delivered by SAP and get the same result. However the queries are displayed fine within the BEx Web!
Any ideas what might be causing this? We are running SAP_BW SPS13
I should mention that 3.x queries are just fine.
Thanks

Configuration Manager - How to display all config info?
Hi,
I noticed that the Configuration Manager doesn't display (and allow you to edit) all of the info in configuration.xml. For example, the openhttp proxy properties aren't listed. Is it possible to expose these through the Configuration Manager? This link (the lone comment at the bottom of the page) seems to indicate that it is indeed possible but offers no explanation:
Thanks. So I canu2019t do this, I canu2019t display all data on one page (until Iu2019m using JSF tags)?
In JSF tags Iu2019m setting only path to file. In my bean Iu2019m using u201CReportClientDocumentu201D object itu2019s easy way to load report file (u201Copenu201D method) and set parameters (u201CgetDataDefController().getParameterFieldController()u201D method) and also connect to data base (u201Clogonu201D method) but I havenu2019t this property u201CsetSeparatePages(boolean)u201D.
Maybe Iu2019m doing this wrong and there is a simpler way maybe I can use somehow u201CCrystalReportVieweru201D please give my any advice. -
How to monitor IPS sensor heath by emails?
Hi All,
Is there any way to configure e-mail notifications about IPS sensor health monitoring results?
I have tried to install IPS supported MIBs to my SNMP management station (actually, it is HP SIM). Cisco supported MIBs have not been installed successfully to HP SIM yet.
Also, I have been searching such a monitoring tool over cisco.com web site. And tools like LAN Monitoring Solution (or Device Fault Manager) requires licensing, so in my case it is not suitable.
Does somebody know SNMP management station (monitoring) tool which could monitor the sensor health without additional MIB installation?
There is one more practical question: Is there any way to send a test trap from IPS sensor to SNMP management station?
Thanks in advance,
MaksimHello Maksim,
This functionality is not yet available, but will be included in IPS 7.1. This enhancement is being tracked via CSCsu08529.

Using blocking on our IPS Sensor
I currently have a Cisco IPS 4240 employed inline in my Customers Network. It is inside of the border Router, and in front of the Outside Firewall which protects the DMZ.
the IPS is already configured to block certain types of packets inline. I was reading about blocking and the ability of the IPS Sensor to not only manage other devices (both our border router which is a 3825 and our ASA which is a 5520) are capable of being managed for blocking purposes).
Can someone give me a practical example of why I might want to configure either the border router or the ASA to block for the Sensor?
ThanksThat's a good answer. My customer does not have any devices between the border router and the IPS, so perhaps we do not need to use any blocking... what about blocking things coming from inside networks? We have a DMZ that is separated by ASA's on both sides, and both of these are inside of the IPS unit?

My iPod and iPhone are not recognized in Windows 7 iTunes. I've reinstalled iTunes and restarted windows. Now iPod briefly displays, then device manager mass storage shows a yellow exclamation point. iPhone doesn't display in iTunes at all. Please advise

Is it possible to setup an IPS sensor's IDM console or CLI to check ACS for user authentication rather than use local accounts on the sensor? Or is this something only the cisco works software can do?
thank you,
BillNow Possible with IPS Version 7.0(4)E4 but only Radius Authentication.

Minimum IOS version for IPS sensor v6 on CAT6500 series
What is the recommended minimum Cisco IOS Software that will support Cisco IPS Sensor Software v6 on the CAT6509
It depends on your Supervisor Engine, MSFC/PFC and capture method.

New Cisco 1921 doesn't display running configuration
Hi All,
I've recently received this new Cisco 1921 routers with Cisco CP loaded, so it comes up with the annoying change username and password at first access. I've removed all of those files from the flash memory, and rebooted it, and it came up with the proper initial configuration dialog, which is what I wanted.
But, whenever I configure the router with a set of basic configuration, like interface, routing, and snmp loggings, and hit wr mem, it doesn't display at all when I do "sh run". It's weird cause when I do sh run | sec rip or any other stuff that I have configured, it shows up , but not in sh run at all.
What's the deal with the new routers??? Even sh version doesn't show the config-register or memory allocation details. Which is weird!

Hi, New to Dreamweaver. Followed basic design example from a CS5 class by James Williamson on Lynda.com. All layout and standard features including images and background images are fine except my logo. It is positioned absolutely in upper left corner within the body, wrapper and header div. When previewing in browser lab the logo doesn't display in IE7. Works fine in other browsers and IE8. On browser compatibility check I get mention of float drop on my footer, but I don't think that would be my problem. Please help me. I want to make a template, but not with an image problem.
Thank you Richard. I used both validations and only received error & warning for ampersand in line 94. No problems with my main.css I'll try the fix later. I guess I have to copy and paste the code, I don't know how to get you a link since the file is still local. I'll start with htm page. Excuse my novice skills. I also put extra code in to try and fix float drop error, to no avail. Thank you.
