CSMARS Ports B/W GC and LC

Does anyone know all of the necessary ports to open between the GC and LC? I found a Cisco doc that says this communication is on 8444, but my Dashboard on my GC is not updating with the traffic from the LC. I can see the Hotspot Graphs of each zone and the Attack Diagrams, but the charts along the left side of the Dashboard aren't refreshing on the GC. Any ideas? Do I need to open up additional ports?
Thanks.

There are several great resources in our KnowledgeBase and Developer Zone that discuss USB RAW control with LabVIEW.  These address many of your questions.
KnowledgeBase: How Can I Communicate With a Device Using NI-VISA USB RAW Mode?
Developer Zone: USB RAW Control Communication in LabVIEW
Take a look at those documents, and the related links in both of them--that should help you get started.

No. You need a converter box like this to go with your MDP-VGA adapter:

  • Questions on porting family plan lines and a prorated final bill?

Hey there! I've done some searches on the board before posting and encountered tidbits of information I found useful, but I couldn't get all of my lingering questions answered from older posts so here's my situation:
My number is the primary number on a family plan (3 lines, mine included) with Verizon, and I'm considering porting it along with the two other lines elsewhere. All three lines are no longer in a contract and are month-to-month (the 2-year agreements ended many months ago and none of the lines have been upgraded or anything since then). I'm planning to move them all to separate prepaid services through another carrier.
I'm doing my best to gather enough information about how to go about moving all three of these family plan lines with the least amount of hassle , so I've got some questions I hope I can get answered. Thanks for any assistance!
    This is my understanding:
-I'll need to contact my new carrier to have a given number ported, correct? And that line will be subsequently cancelled on Verizon's end, with no ETFs since none of the lines are tied to a contract?
-Should I port the second and third lines first and not port the primary number (mine) first, so asto not cancel all the lines of service before they're ported? I'm okay porting one number at a time AKA separately instead of all at once if that simplifies the transfer process.
-When the porting process takes place and my Verizon service is cancelled, does Verizon prorate the remaining days on my billing period from the date it's cancelled, or do they still bill up to the end of the cycle? I hear it's better to wait until the end of my billing cycle (which for me is the 9th of every month) to initiate the transfer(s) so that I don't have any billing issues, but moving all three numbers on one day (even separately) sounds kinda daunting.
-Do the phones I currently have under Verizon simply "disconnect" or deactivate once service is cancelled? Will they no longer be associated with my family plan lines and therefore be free to be resold or handed off to other family members who are using Verizon? I notice many phones on eBay/Craigslist list a "cleared ESN" as a requirement for someone to activate a used phone on Verizon and wanted to know what that was about.
Thanks for any help on these concerns!

    This is my understanding:
-I'll need to contact my new carrier to have a given number ported, correct? And that line will be subsequently cancelled on Verizon's end, with no ETFs since none of the lines are tied to a contract?  All correct - the port happens via the NEW carrier.
-Should I port the second and third lines first and not port the primary number (mine) first, so asto not cancel all the lines of service before they're ported? I'm okay porting one number at a time AKA separately instead of all at once if that simplifies the transfer process.  You can do it this way - but based on your next question, you wouldn't want to do it this way.  You can't do both!!
-When the porting process takes place and my Verizon service is cancelled, does Verizon prorate the remaining days on my billing period from the date it's cancelled, or do they still bill up to the end of the cycle?  You have already paid for the current month's service - you are billed in advance for the coming month.  What WILL be billed is any texting, roaming calls, data charges, etc, that have occurred during the month that were NOT billed in advance. I hear it's better to wait until the end of my billing cycle (which for me is the 9th of every month) to initiate the transfer(s) so that I don't have any billing issues, but moving all three numbers on one day (even separately) sounds kinda daunting.   But YOU don't have to do anything - your new carrier will deal with it, and it seems to me it would be better to end the service on all three at one time, since it is one account.  You can ask your new carrier what they recommend.  There should be no issues with porting all three lines at once.
-Do the phones I currently have under Verizon simply "disconnect" or deactivate once service is cancelled?Yes - once the number is ported to the new carrier, the phones will no longer work until they are activated with another number.  Will they no longer be associated with my family plan lines and therefore be free to be resold or handed off to other family members who are using Verizon? This is correct, and another reason for doing the port at the end of a billing cycle.  Issues have come up with transfers done mid cycle - and because the account had been billed and paid for the full month's service, the phone's ESN was not released until the end of the billing cycle.  I notice many phones on eBay/Craigslist list a "cleared ESN" as a requirement for someone to activate a used phone on Verizon and wanted to know what that was about.
Thanks for any help on these concerns!
It may take several days for the numbers to fully port over and have all services working correctly, and for the old phones to be fully "released" from your account to be used on another Verizon account.  I would wait a week or so after the port, then call CS and check the ESN status of the old phones to see if they are "clear".
Hope this answers most of your questions.  Post back if you need further clarification.

Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

The subject line above kind of says it all. I would like to know what type of video out port exists on these two models of MBP's: mid-2006 and mid-2007? In other words, what kind of Apple adapter would I have to buy to use these ports? Mini-DisplayPort, etc.?

Kappy, thank you for your fast reply. But, I am puzzled by it. A standard DVI port is rather Large and has many pins and the crosswise electrical flat pin. Are you saying that this large type of standard DVI port is present and physically fits on the edge of a Mac Book Pro?

  • Open Port 80, 16384-16482, and 5060-5061

How do I open ports 80, 16384-16482, and 5060-5061 and forward them to more than one IP address and still keep my network secure?
I have2 VOIP phones that I would like to get working. I can get the one working by using Port Forwarding and forwarding all these ports to its private ip address. However I believe I need to duplicate this for my second VOIP phone but you can't have the same port forwarded to different ip addresses under Port Forwarding.
    I have a WRT54GS.
    Thank you,

For your 2nd VOIP phone i think you can Do is Port Triggering or you can use DMZ for your 2nd VOIP as your VOIP phone will have a Static IP.

  • Sysgen : How to read the input port data type, width and rate dynamically in a masked subsystem ?

    Hello everybody,
I am designing a general purpose block in system generator. I pass the user parameters to the block through masking it. Some user parameters can change the block configuration. The input port data type, width and rate can also affect the block configuration.
The problem is that these values (input port data type, width and rate) are subject to change. So I should read them dynamically, then change the block configuration through programming the "Initialization Commands" field. But unfortunately there is no straight way to read the input port information.
There are some methods in for example the "Black Box". these are:
    input_width = this_block.port('din').width;
    input_rate = this_block.port('din').rate;
But these methods are not applicable to a masked subsystem.
I have tried other ways also. You can find them below. None of them worked.
Does anybody know how can I solve this problem?
    Other ways I tried:
    1)
    design_name([],[],[],'compile')
    q=get_param(gcb,'PortHandles');
    get_param(q.Inport,'CompiledPortDataType')
    get_param(q.Inport,'CompiledPortWidth')
    get_param(q.Inport,'CompiledPortDimensions')
    design_name([],[],[],'term')
    2)
    ssGetInputPortDataType
    3)
    ts = Simulink.Block.getSampleTimes([gcb '/Input'])

Today we rely on Simulink to perform parameterization of your designs in two ways:
Parameterizable Subsystems and Blocks : Parameters themselves can be MATLAB expressions that need to be evaluated for which we need the MATLAB interpreter
The very useful Rate and Type propagation or Simulink compilation that allows us to specify types & rates in one location that gets systematically propagated to all.
To truly make the HDL Netlist that is generated from SysGen parameterizable, we would have to implement some of this capability in the HDL netlist itself by:
Using Generics(VHDL) or Parameters(Verilog) - We would have to capture the bit width(type) propagation through levels of hierarchies and finally parameterize the IP itself based on this value
Since IP itself does not have this capability through generics, we would have to package a separate tcl script that updates the IP parameterization appropriately in response to top level parameters(or GUI parameters)
Interpreting MATLAB expressions and translating them into VHDL/Verilog expressions (alternatively tcl expressions of IP). In simulink, mask parameters can be passed from one level to the next. Also parameterization of a block can be composed of Matlab expressions using variables from ancestor masks & the MATLAB interpreter – so we will need to somehow capture that as well.

  • Some ports  randomly get blocked and the external program is unable to rece

We have configured few ports to send out Idocs using TRFC mechanism. Initially all the ports are working fine and the external program  is able to receive Idocs from all the ports. However after sometime, some ports  randomly get blocked and the external program is unable to receive Idocs from these ports. If the SAP instance is restarted, we see that all ports work fine for a certain period but the same issue appears again after sometime.
This behaviour is observed in case of TRFC calls but not for normal RFC calls.
RFC Connections, partner profiles, ports, distribution model - these all are working fine.
    Your help will be appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • FC Port Channel between UCS and MDS.

    Hi All,
I am new to Cisco Fabric Concepts. In my enviornment i have a F port channel(8 Port Group) created on MDS 9513 switch and this Fport
channel is connected to Cisco UCS 6296 FI. The Cisco UCS Blade servers are connected to the Fabric Interconnect .
    On MDS NPIV is enabled.
Can anyone explain the below questions.
    1. Why do we create an F port Channel Group and connect it to the UCS FI? Is this something similar to Brocade Edge to AG Switch Connectivity.
    2. How to configure F port Channel Group in MDS . Can anyone explain with an example.
    3. Do we need to make any Configuration on UCS FI ports for server connectivity and Channel port Connectivity if yes what are the steps required to
do the same.Does the WWPN shows up in the FLOGI Database if the connectivity and configuration looks good in UCS FI and MDS.
    4. What happens when a VSAN on MDS switch is added to the Port Channel.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Santosh surya

    Look at my remarks in
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12468266/fc-port-channels-between-mds-and-ucs-fi-best-practice
    1. Why do we create an F port Channel Group and connect it to the UCS FI? Is this something similar to Brocade Edge to AG Switch Connectivity.
F port channel is proprietary; therefore any such F port channel between UCS FI and Brocade doesn't work.
    2. How to configure F port Channel Group in MDS . Can anyone explain with an example.
    see eg.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/sites/default/files/legacy/9/9/2/53299-UCS_1-4-1_F-port_channel-trunk-v1.pdf
    3. Do we need to make any Configuration on UCS FI ports for server connectivity and Channel port Connectivity if yes what are the steps required to
    see eg.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/sites/default/files/legacy/9/9/2/53299-UCS_1-4-1_F-port_channel-trunk-v1.pdf
Does the WWPN shows up in the FLOGI Database if the connectivity and configuration looks good in UCS FI and MDS.
flogi database is on the MDS, not FI; there are however UCS CLI commands, like "show npv ...."
    4. What happens when a VSAN on MDS switch is added to the Port Channel.
If its not created on UCS, it will just not become the status "up"

  • Port configuration on WLC2006 and WLC2106

In the WLC config guide V4.0 there is a clear explanation on how to use multiple distribution ports on the WLC440X. Is there also a similar sound description of how you can use multiple distribution ports on the WLC2006 and WLC2106 ? Somewhere in the Cisco doc I read that you can attach AP's directly to the 2006 distribution ports . If this is the case do you need to assign a unique AP-mgr address to each port to which you attach an AP?

    Hi Evan,
For sure! There is a really good example on the configuration guide, and assciated caveats.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/7.4/configuration/guides/consolidated/b_cg74_CONSOLIDATED_chapter_0100011.html
Benefits for using LAG is increased bandwidth, and redundancy - especially if you have the two (or more in the case of a 5508 WLC) ports connected to different physical switches, eg a 3750 stack.
    Best,
    Evan

  • Two http ports - one in 8080 and the other one in 3034 - How to remove 8080

    Hi!
I have two http ports - one in 8080 and the other one in 3034 - How to remove 8080.
    Listening Endpoints Summary...
    (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<ip address>)(PORT=<port number>)))
    (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<hotname>)(PORT=3034))(Presentation=HTTP)(Session=RAW))
    (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<hotname>)(PORT=2102))(Presentation=FTP)(Session=RAW))
    (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<hotname>)(PORT=8080))(Presentation=HTTP)(Session=RAW))
    Services Summary...

You get check which is the current dedicated HTTP port by using DBMS_XDB.getHTTPPort(). There can be only HTTP port active per database (not taken into account the HTTPs one). If two or more exists than there is still a process claiming that port (in this case 8080). It will be cleaned up after one or more processes are not claiming that port again. New connections will be redirected to the new port.

how do i find out what tcp ports are open? and where would i go to see them? i have a program that is asking for it and i am unable to find where those are listed.

If you are not too tech savvy, try using the Network Utility found in the Utilities folder. Just have the Mac scan itself.
If tech savvy, there's always Fyodor's classic NMap, found at www.insecure.org.
