CSS 115000 and OWA

Does anyone have an example of using the CSS 115000 to load balance outlook web access across a few servers? I have no idea were to begin.

just a small advice.
The CSS does not support OWA, so you can't ask it to inspect the traffic - no layer 5 rule allowed.
Therefore, you can only do loadbalancing based on ip address.
Just ignore the fact that is is OWA.
Just use any TCP/IP loadbalancing example you can find on this website and it will do.

Excel service and OWA - getting ERROR while trying to open/edit Excel documents

We have configured SharePoint 2013 with Excel Service and OWA (Office Web Apps).
After configuring, we are able to view/edit Word or PowerPoint documents from the browser (as OWA is configured). But we are getting errors while trying to open/edit Excel documents.
We are not able to view/edit the excel workbook from the browser (through OWA).
To open the excel in the browser, decision has to be taken at the farm level on what to be used – Excel Service or OWA Server? Is it possible to do setting at site collection level?

Outlook 2010 and OWA (Hosted on Exchange Server 2010 Standard) only show 1 weeks worth of email

Checked to see if any Filters were applied, reset to default, same result.
Checked to see if there were any rules, there were none.
Checked to see if there were any "Quick Steps", there were none.
Rebuilt the user profile in Outlook, same results.
OWA shows the same thing so I am thinking it might be a setting/problem with Exchange. Outlook and OWA are in perfect sync, they just don't show email older than a week.

Based on the description, you could only see those messages whose age was less than one week in Outlook and OWA.
First, I recommend you check if there is any retention policy applied to this user mailbox.
Besides, please use the get-mailboxstatistics command to get the number of items present in the mailbox, and then compare it with what you can see in Outlook.

Safari 7.0 and OWA 2010: constant reload warnings

That's what I see randomly, every few minutes, while using Outlook Web App (OWA) 2010. It makes using OWA virtually impossible because the page will reload in the midst of typing a mail message, losing the work in progress.
Some details:
No other window or tab had that webpage open, of course. Even after a fresh boot where loading a OWA bookmark was Safari was the only action taken, this occurs after what appears to be a random period of time.
Two different OWA acocunts that I have access to show this issue
Neither of the two OWA accounts showed this issue under OS X 10.8 and Safari 6
Firefox 24 on OS X 10.9 does not have this issue with the same OWA servers

I had 2 extensions installed, AdBlock and Reddit Enhancement Suite, with both at the most current version. I disabled extensions entirely and OWA appears to be stable now. Disappointing because these are very common extensions, but I'll do without them for now and keep an eye on their sites for updates.
My only remaining issue is that the Rogers OneNumber (http://www.hellorogersonenumber.com/) web phone now hangs in Safari, even with extensions disabled, but that's an item for another thread if I can't figure it out today.

How can I use external CSS, JavaScript and Images in PeopleSoft Portal?

I am developing a website and I need to put my CSS, JavaScript and IMG files in a folder on the server that can be used by my HTML objects.
Where should I put the images? How do I get the HTML objects can read these images?

i use jdev 11.1.1.7
I have several items on the page . for example panelFormLayout .
i want declare several property (background-color ,...) and assing it to all of panelFormLayout .
so whenever i change color of background , background color of ALL panelFormLayout change easily .
(I created a css file and declared my property in it but i cant use it !!! )
NOW i hope to create a CSS file or(any thing you suggest) for this reason and use it .
How can i do this ?

1) The wrong mime type for the CSS files? Currently it appears to be:

CSS XML and superscripts and subscripts...

Hello all,
Simple... I am loading text into a dynamic text field via XML
and styling it using a CSS stylesheet . But here is my problem, how
can I use the <sup> and <sub> tags. Now, I have read on
live docs that the Flash player does NOT (that's right, does not)
support these properties of XML or HTML, which is hard for me to
believe. Has anyone out there found a work around... I have tried
pretty much everything.

EXCHANGE 2013 - ECP AND OWA INTERNAL ERROR 500 - NEW INSTALL

Really hoping someone can help me here.
I first installed 2012 OS and 2013 exchange and users were getting 'Unable to open your default folder' when trying to open outlook. After much googling and nothing working I decided to put 2008 R2 on the server with 2013 Exchange. Now i am running into massive
issues.
Firstly i get Internal Errror 500 after putting in credentials for ECP and OWA. I did notice that it is also defaulting straight to this URL after entering password https://localhost/owa/auth.owa
I check the management shell and that connects without any issues. I also logged on to a computer to see what it did. After autodiscover it is not able to log onto server and then it looks like it is look for the old server information from previous server.
Any help would be appreciated. Can i do another reinstall of OS and how am i meant to remove the previous data that it seems the server has found?

According to your description, I understand that cannot login internal ECP\OWA with error 500, also autodiscover failed.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
I notice that autodiscover “looks like it is look for the old server information from previous server”, have you installed multiple version Exchange in your environment?
Please run below command to double check the virtual directory configuration:
Get-OutlookAnywhere | FL Identity,*Host*,*Auth*
Get-OwaVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
Get-EcpVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | FL Identity,*url*,*auth*
Get-ClientAccessServer | FL Identity,*URI*,*auth*
Then, open IIS and check on the Application Pools to view whether MSExchangeOWAAppPool and MSExchangeECPAppPool is running on .NET Framework v4.0, and recycle virtual directory for test.

Exchange Server 2013: Outook Clients and OWA keeps on disconnecting/connecting every 5-10 mins

We have a new exchange server 2013 installed but also has exchange 2007 up.
MX records are now pointing to the new exchange server, all were working ok after DNS records were changed but after the weekend it Outlook clients and OWA keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting from exchange.
Exchange 2013 CU6
Anybody else experienced the same?

CSS 11501 and SSL

Hi,
I have a few questions regarding the CSS and SSL certificates.
I have 2 CSS 11501 and 3 web servers, how many SSL certificates do I need?
I want to configure the CSS as active - active, is this supported using the SSL accelleration module? If it is, is it configured the same way as a standalone CSS. The documentation only mentions configurations using single module and 2 modules in the same CSS.
And a clarificacion: Does the term Backend in the CSS SSL config refer to servers on a different subnet (in our case physically separated). Our config is 2 FW -> 2 CSS -> 3 Web servers -> 2 backend FW -> 6 Backend servers (app and DB). Am I correct in assuming that Backend refer to this backend? (This might seem like a silly question but the documentation has me confused)

Regarding the certificate, you could just use one.
Get 1 certificate for your VIP and upload it on both SSL module.
However, you might have to get 2, because certificate providers usually say it's one per physical device.
If you plan on doing SSL on the servers as well, you need 3 more certificates. Or you coul use a single certificate if this is allowed by the company that will give it to you.
Backend refers to server behind the CSS.
Like a firewall defines inside and outside interfaces, the CSS define the frontend and the backend.
The frontend is the client side and the backend the server side.
When you say active/active, what do you want to achieve exactly ?
You can indeed have 2 Vip and one is active on CSS1 while the other is active on CSS2.
However, if the CSS shares the same set of servers, you need to be careful that the return traffic from the server to the client goes back to the same server. This may require client nat (group config).

Beginner CSS problems and questions

I'm trying to learn CSS, but first, I have to knock out this simple site for a client, CSS or not, asap.
Problem #1:

I want the email link the same font size as the text around it, which is:
class="bodycopy-content"
I don't understand why it appears in the text-links page bottom (class="link-typeA") size.
Problem #2:
Dreamweaver WYSIWYG shows the text links at page bottom in the #00F blue, (see attached jpg: "scrncap_DW_WYSIWYG.jpg) when clearly they should display only as the grey in the external stylesheet. In the browser, they look good. Frustrating, DW bug?
Problem #3:
I tried to merge all the CSS into one style sheet but no matter what I try, DW won't let me. Now I have 3 CSS categories. (see attached jpg "scrncap-csspanel.jpg") How come I can't have any/all style sheets in one?

Problem #1:
You have defined a font size (8px - which btw, renders extremely small on my 1440x900 laptop, suggestion to follow) for the "a" tag. Because of this any link regardless of where it is will be that font size. Personally speaking I would recommend taking the font-size off of the "a" tag in your CSS document and then let the other classes control the font size throughout your page.
Problem #2:
You defined a class fine, but links do not work on a class. They will always work on a:link, a:active, a:visited, and a:hover. With this in mind what you need to do to change the color of links in a particular area is to do the following:
.link-typeA a { CSS stuff goes here }
That will change the links in that class to have certain features.
Problem #3:
This has to do with code in the header of your page where you have re-declared link styles. Delete that from your page and you will be set
Now back to Problem #1 about the fonts. Your best bet is to use "em" to define your font size. Think of the EM like a multiplier. It takes the default size of the end-users settings and 1.1em would be 1.1x larger than the default font, 2em would be twice as large, and .5em would be half the size. This way your text is readable on all screens regardless of the end-users resolution.

CSS Designer and CS6

I cannot find a simple answer to a simple question. I signed up for a monthly subscription to Dreamweaver, not all of CC. My program states it is CS6. I am looking at help/training videos and they keep talking about the CSS Designer and a couple of other things I cannot find. Does that mean I am not using Dreamweaver CC, even though it was my understanding that I would have the latest/greatest?

Did you sign up for the Single App Creative Cloud subscription?
If so, you downloaded CS6 back then.
On June 17, Dreamweaver CC (the next major upgrade from CS6) was released. One of the new features in CC is the CSS Designer.
CC should be a free upgrade for all subscribers so, for you, it should be a case of logging in to the Cloud and downloading CC.
