CSS flows.. what does 'New FCB time' mean in llama ?

Hi,
If i set the timeout multiplier to be 3 on a content rule so it's 48 seconds, why when i look at the 'flow-agent show fcb' information does it give me the correct inactiveTimout but then allocate a 'New FCB time' of 120 which overrides my configured 48 seconds?
May timeout due to inactivity: Yes , inactiveTimeout: 48
New FCB time: 120,  will consider inactivity in 86 secs
Inactive Secs: 34
Thank you,
Scott

Hello Scott,
What is a Flow Control Block (FCB) and where does it live?
A. FCB is a term used for two different things. There is a  fastpath FCB that is used to map a flow and allow transformations on  each frame in the flow to be done entirely by the fastpath microcode  running on either the etherPIF (for 10/100 ports) or the XPIF (for  Gigabit ports). Fastpath FCBs come out of memory that is local to the  chip used for the port. For an etherPIF, this chip contains 4 10/100  Ethernet port interfaces. The memory used for FCBs is shared for each  port in the etherPIF. In the CSS 11150 and CSS 11050 products, the ports  1-4 share memory, ports 5-8 share memory, and so on. For XPIF ports,  the memory is not shared between ports. If you have uplink 10/100 ports,  you will want to keep them isolated from any other ports that are  occupied (like server ports) if you have that option. Obviously, if all  ports are populated, you do not get to make this decision.
The flow manager also has FCBs. The flow manager FCBs contain all the  information in the fastpath FCB, plus additional information to allow  the flow manager to properly manage the flow. There is one FCB used per  ingress direction of a flow. Thus, a TCP connection is going to take two  FCBs, and a UDP flow is going to take one. UDP flows can be  bi-directional, however, they often are not (for example, streaming  audio).

I was playing with my ipad settings and noted in he advanced settings of Safari there was a place to view "website databases".  When I selected this I saw a multitude of websites.
Can anyone tell me how these get there?  Can a website be posted even if it was never went to?  What does the space amount mean?  For example, 1.5 kb...is this quite a bit?  Would it indicate someone has gone to a site multiple times?
I share my ipad with my teenage daughter and I'm trying to find out if she's lying to me.  Obviously she's swearing that she has "no idea" how these got there and I'm trying to keep her safe (she's only 14).
    Thanks everyone.

Think of your PC and the 'temporary internet folder' where it keeps cached copies of web pages or elements off a web page for 'quicker display the next time you visit'. That's pretty much what that folder is. 1.5K is tiny. Probably just a basic page with some text on it. (you might be confusing 1.5K with 1.5 megabyte....megabyte is large...it's roughly 1000 kilobytes, so the 1.5K is a tiny file)
As far as I know, the only way info gets into that folder is if the browser has been to that site.
if you have a concern there are browsers out there, McGruff is one i've seen recommended, that allow some degree of parental control and supervision. That or you could passcode lock the iPad or enable the restrictions to turn off some parts of the device to have some control.

  • I have many photos that are visible as thumbnails in the Pictures Library, however when I try to open them in a big screen they show a back screen with an exclamation mark in a triangle.  What does this exclamation mark mean ?

I can see my images in the libarary as thumbnails but when i try to edit/email some of them become Exclamation Marks in a triangle.
What does the exclamation mark mean and how to i retrieve the photo

The exclamation make is an indication that iPhoto has broken the file path to the original photo.
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

What does (error code -600) mean?
I received this code in a pop up window while trying to open iTunes from my Apps folder.

      procNotFound
    = -600, /*no eligible process with specified descriptor*/
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    Any change?

  • What does "Upgrade Your Device" mean for a VZW customer?

I had a LG Octane and "upgraded" to LG Cosmos at the end of my contract. The Octane does not have a camcorder but the Cosmos did. To me this was a "downgrade." I learned of this "downgrade" after I had the "upgraded" a few weeks. I believe Verizon's use of the term "Upgrade Your Device" is deceptive and a false promise. Verizon representatives refuse to recognize this "upgrade" as a "downgrade." I am stuck with a downgraded phone for more than another year before I can upgrade again without paying the full cost of a phone! So what does "Upgrade Your Device" mean when used on the Webpage of your Verizon Account?

The upgrade is that your new phone has a camcorder. Your old phone did not.
The word upgrade means to me getting a new phone that has features that my old phone didn't have and that i will actually use.

  • What does this Bridge message mean?

I have a new Mac (and Photoshop Elements 11) and when I open Bridge I get this message:
    OLSException in OLS Adapter Startup
    /OLS/development/main/bridge/3.2.0/build/mac/../../sdk/src/COLS.cpp#19 : 16
    Should I be worried?
(I've tried using PSE Organizer and I hate it. I'd rather stick with Bridge unless I'm headed for trouble.)
What does this Bridge message mean?

Bridge came with an earlier version of PSE, PSE6 I think. The Organizer comes with PSE 9 and PSE11. Like some other PSE users, I much prefer Bridge to the Organizer. I had no trouble using Bridge with PSE9 and an older Mac. But with PSE11 and my new Mac, I started getting this message. I wonder if anyone knows what this message means, if it portends trouble for me, if there is anything I should do to correct it?
I posted this question on the Elements Forum and was told that it should be addressed on the Bridge Forum.

  • What does the apple sign mean when sometimes it shows ?

What does the apple logo mean when sometimes i turn it on it just pops up and goes back to normal??

    Ayip,
The Apple logo appearing on your iPod nano is your nano's start-up icon. Normally, when you turn off your iPod nano, you are really putting it into a deep or semi-deep sleep, where it is ready to turn on at the push of a button and resume where you left off in your Now Playing list.
If, however, you leave your iPod in a sleep mode for some time , it will shut down. To turn it on again, you'll need to hit the center button (deep and semi-deep will wake up with any button press). When turning the iPod on from a shut down state, it will display the Apple logo while loading your music iPod software.
    Hope this helps!
    Sincerely,
    -FD

  • What does this error message mean and how do I solve it? "Sorry, one or more of the following command-line tools was not found:  /usr/bin/lsbom, /bin/pax, /bin/mkdir, /bin/chmod, or /usr/bin/update_prebinding."

When I try to open up this program, Pacifist, I receive this error message. Here's a screenshot. http://i.imgur.com/v717w.jpg What does this error message mean and how do I solve it?

It sounds like some of the Unix Executable commands were removed (or the permissions to those were modified) out of the /usr/bin/ folder.  You can try opening disk utility and repairing permissions on Macintosh HD or you can reboot your computer and holding down option-r when it comes back up to reinstall Lion again.  This will not delete your personal information or applications you have installed but it would be best to back it up to Time Machine before you do.  The article on how to do this is here. (http://www.apple.com/macosx/recovery/)  I have had to do this before and it works like a charm.  It should fix your issue but grab a cup of coffee because its going to take about 35 - 40 minutes depending on how fast your computer is.

what does doa cover. i mean i brought  a macbook 6 days back and it uses to restart  when its powerd off nd lid closed it has kinda defective power key also. can it be treated as doa

DOA means different things to different manufacturers. For some DOA means it fails to work out of the box and will be replaced but if it worked out of the box and failed the next day it will be repaired. For other companies there is a liberal return policy - for Apple if you buy direct from Apple (online or an Apple store) you have 14 days to return. That means you can return a defective computer and then turn around and buy a new one.
(I had a store manager try to get me to accept a repair on a computer with a bad keyboard out of the box. I refused and insisted on a full refund if she wasn't willing to replaced it.)

  • What does "RTR FOR ALP" mean?

I just finished switching my 1400 minute family plan over to the 1GB Share Everything Plan and I noticed that for all four of the phones on the plan (three smart phones and one basic phone), there is an added feature called RTR FOR ALP on all four lines.
I was shown that FRIENDS & FAMILY ALP - 10 would be removed from all lines and that RTR FOR CAPPED PLANS $0 would be removed from the 4G phone's line and RTR FOR CAPPED MBBC $0 would be removed from the basic phone's line. If I had enough examples of RTR and ALP in use I might be able to figure it out, but with only my own plan to look at, I'm stumped.
So what does RTR FOR ALP mean and what does the feature allow me to do that I couldn't do before?

I don't know what the letters stand for, exactly, but what's happening is the 10 Friends for all lines is being removed, since you know have unlimited calling and there is no need for F&F numbers.  The 4G phone and the Basic phone's  individual data caps have been removed, and the shared data cap has been applied to those lines.
Maybe with another cup of coffee I can come up with what the acronyms mean....
    ** EDIT
Coffee would not have helped   But Google did:
http://www.verizonbusiness.com/solutions/public_sector/federal/contracts/continuity_contract/redacted_contract/vol3_business/v3-contents.pdf  starting on page 6 lists pages of acronyms.
ALP(S) = Automatic Line Protection switching
    RTR = Real Time Restoration

what does "unresponsive script" warning mean?

I'm having the same problem with Firefox 19 on both OS X and Windows 7. It seems to be tied to Facebook (which I have as a pinned tab). I don't have to force quit though - just hit the 'stop script' button and things proceed as usual.
I've a bug report into Firefox - if you don't have Facebook open in a tab, I don't know why you're getting the same error message.

  • What does bad argument 0x10000003 mean on macbook pro

what does bad argument 0x10000003 mean on macbook pro during boot up after a question mark folder appearing?

At that point, I had taken one of the DIMs out to see if the RAM was the issue. I took it to the Apple Store and they said that the hard drive might be bad, so they wiped everything on the hard drive. After that, I was still experiencing the kernel panics. So another guy looked at it and said that it might be bad RAM. So I called the company and got them to send me more RAM and after inserting the new RAM, I still get kernel panics. I've been saving all the panic reports in a folder on my flash drive. Today I got a total of four. And then I got four the day before that. Mind you, this didn't start happening until I upgraded my system to Mavericks.
I really wish there was a way I could post them all so someone could look at them, cause to be honest, none of the code in it makes any sense to me.
