CSS help? Adding a heading banner, how?

Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone here on this forum would both have the skill, the time and the kindness to offer help with a CSS tweak? I am using the LR HTML standard output. I want to place in a heading image I already use on my site. I was trying changes in the CSS files that LR gernerated last night. Took a copy of my sites CSS off the site and was doing my best to compare, trial and error tests.
I Was able to see how to change cell background colors and even page background colors. Of course I can figure out eventually how to shift from LRs 3 column minimum to my own 2 column design - or not fight that battle at all. But I am not sure how to tell the LR CSS to put the same image as heading background in the LR web page, as I have in my own.
Can anyone who actually knows how to do this, do this for me? I ask only to get a start. IF you generate a 3 x 3 table and then edit your content/custom.css page, that should be where you find the data to change. That is where I have been testing and it seems to work there.
But what I wold appreciate would be to see an example of just replacing ... However far you have to go down from the top to replace ... With a banner of some kind placed so that your banner would be background at the top of the page when done. If I had that I could see how it works and substitute my sites current header background.
The spacing on my pages come down just past the top line where the menus cross the page, about an inch. The best of all worlds would be to take out everything above where the LR output table starts and put in my own site title and banner. But I am really not good at tweaks in CSS yet. So a starting reference point would be sooo helpful. You know, When you are not sure what section to rip apart and what damage you are doing to some other place that needed that bit of coding?

Onto your colour problem. this is a personal opinion of course, but currently, the burgandy text behind the green in your header is very difficult to read. The added white dropshadow doesn't enhance the text, only makes it hard to read.
I would possibly make the header box white so that your logo and tagline stand out a lot more than they do. I would use the green/burgandy combination only as accents in your layout. Maybe a burgandy navigation bar, and use a solid green for the footer with which text. I would likely thrown in some blue or grey, both mix well with burgandy :-)

I have tried unchecking the "Automatically check for updates" in the Software Update control panel. Of course, then you have to remember to check manually periodically for security updates etc. So far, the annoying banners seem to have stopped, but maybe just because I have not waited long enough for them to come back.

OBIEE11g issue: hiding header banner in OBIEE 11g?

Hi BI Experts,
I have a requirement which require hiding Search, Advance,Administration etc Header banner and Home, Catalog, Dashboard etc menu banner in OBIEE 11g for some dashboard.
What i need is only the dashboard content to be displayed without any menus or bars even dashboard page name.
I m working on obiee 11g. I m not familiar with customized .css file or xml.
Which .css file or .xml file need to be modified? How?
Please advice.

Your updates is very helpfull. I can remove most of these labels.
But Administration, Sign Out, Alert(We have ibots) , Signed In As weblogic are still there, i could not see any label related these links in file saw.sessioninfos.xml.
And also i did remove below:

in saw.header.xml file, restarted all server, it did not work. How to remove the others?
Another concern is can we remove these only for serval dashboard, not for the whole application?
If we can remove the whole banner instead of removing Label and Link, that would be perfect.

try this:
Start FMS
put the FLV into the "applications\test\streams\_definst_"
folder
Create a SWF that will stream the FLV
The easiest way to create this SWF is to use the FLV Playback
Component in Flash 8.
Or, Sample Code:

the SWF should connect to rtmp://localhost/test/ and stream
your FLV, just like with Progressive Download FLV
the SWF can run from your desktop or on a local web server
such as Apache - it should NOT be in the FMS application folder.
Open the SWF, and your video should stream.

Issues with Robo Help adding extra code

I am currently using RoboHelp 10 version 10.0.1.292
I am trying to write the code and then input into Robo help for future editing. I am new to HTML and RoboHelp as well.
The issue is when I add the code like so below it comes out with an added <p> </p> in robohelp code and causes the Iframe to not work for one of the drop down menus. Is it possible to disable this feature adding this in or a way to get the Iframe to still work? In screen shot is what the problem is the info highlighted after the Account portion.

RoboHelp is not an HTML editor in the same way as say Dreamweaver. The editor can add processing instructions that tell Rh how to create the output files but those PIs do not get into the help. HTML editors in the general sense have the same code in the source and the output.
That is one reason the editor is different. It also assumes that the majority of users will not have the same HTML skills as someone using say Dreamweaver and it is designed to make some corrections automatically. Sometimes though the result of that is Rh makes changes you don't want.
I'm wondering why you are coding in a text editor though when Rh is designed to write the code for you.

I would be glad for the opportunity to customize a Premiere Elements 12 answer to your Premiere Elements 12 issue.
But, I want to make sure that we are together on the details. This is my understanding of what you have written. Please review and let me
know if I am misinterpreting anything that you have written.
You have a video created in Windows Movie Maker.
How did you output the video from Windows Movie Maker...wmv or mp4, what was the frame size and frame rate of that export?
Next you import that video into Premiere Elements 12 (can we assume that this is on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit?)
From what you wrote, you have applied a pan and zoom effect to your video in Premiere Elements.
Now you go to export the Premiere Elements 12 Timeline content with your video with the pan and zoom applied.
But, the pan and zoom effect is not seen in playback of the export.
Is all of the above correct so far?
If so....we are going to need some more details from you...
a. What is the project preset that you or the project are setting to match the properties of the video coming from Movie maker? See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Rate, and Pixel Aspect Ratio even if the fields look grayed out.
b. Are you applying the pan and zoom effect with the Pan and Zoom Tool, fx Effects Presets, or keyframing the Scale (for Zoom) and
Position (for Pan) in the Motion Panel expanded?
c. What are you selecting as your export in Publish+Share/. Please give details...are you using default settings or customizing the export
setting under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab of the preset selected?
I am suspecting some sort of mismatch of your project settings or some problems with working with the Pan and Zoom tool. I need
your answers to help me help you. If I have written anything that you do not understand, please let me know. I will re-write if necessary
so that we are in sync to resolve the issue.

Drive Utility Help Viewer "does not know how to handle selected URL"

I have Drive Utility 10.5.6, according to . I'm trying to reformat a FAT32 partition on an external drive to Mac OS X Ext. Journaled in preparation for using SuperDuper to back up my Mac HD boot partition. For a time, which seems to have passed, now that erasing the partition has been done. The Disk Utility Help wouldn't work. Instead of putting up topic information, I got a message saying "Help Viewer does not know how to handle selected URL", followed by an reference to an html file that allegedly existed inside a set of folders inside the app. Where, of course, Finder cannot see. Once the erasing was done, Help seems to have come back. I tried Apple Support, but could only get a reference to OS 9 Appleworks macros not working in OS X. No help at all. Is this a question? I don't know. Help is working now. But for a while it was very annoying. It must be one of those little windows glitches that no one ever bothered to fix.

In order to change a FAT or NTFS formatted drive for use with OS X you will need to do the following:
Extended Hard Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
If you have an Intel Mac and can partition the drive using GUID then you can have FAT32 and OS X partitions on the same drive.
As for problems with the Help viewer see:
In most cases doing the following will restore the Help Viewer:
1. Trash the following three files, if extant:
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.help.plist
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpui.plist
/Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist
2. Trash the /Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui folder.
3. Empty the Trash and Restart.
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on the Help Viewer for additional suggestions.

Help needed with header and upload onto business catalyst

Can someone help with a problem over a header please?
I have inserted a rectangle with a jpeg image in background, in the 'header' section, underneath the menu. It comes up fine on most pages when previsualised, going right to the side of the screen, but stops just before the edge on certain pages. I have double checked that I have placed it in the right place in relation to the guides on the page.
That's one problem.
The second problem is that I tried to upload onto business catalyst, which got to 60% and refused to go any further, saying it couldn't find the header picture, giving the title and then u4833-3.fr.png. The picture is in the right folder I have double checked. And it isn't a png. Does it have to be ?
And the third problem is that I got an email following my upload from business catalyst in Swedish. I am living in France.

How can I check the preview in other browsers before I publish a provisional site with BC?
The rectangle width issue happens on certain pages but not others. The Welecom page is fine when the menu is active, also the contact page, but others are slightly too narrow. Changing the menu spacing doesn’t help - I was already on uniform but tried changing to regular and back.
In design mode the rectangle is set to the edge of the browser, that’s 100%browser width right?
Re BC I have about 200 images on 24 different pages and it seems to be having difficulty uploading some of them. But it has managed a couple I named with spaces but not others I named with just one name.
Is there an issue on size of pictures ? If I need to replace is there a quick way to rename and relink or do I have to insert the photos all over again?
I’m a novice with Muse with an ambitious site !

Answering the questions :
- Have you checked the preview in Muse and also in other browsers ?
- Does the rectangle width issue happens when menu is active , or in any specific state , Try to change the menu with uniform spacing and then check.
- In design view the rectangle is set to 100% browser width ?
With publishing :
- Please try to rename the image file and then relink
- If it happens with other images as well , see if all the image names includes strange characters or spaces.
- Try again to publish
With e-mail from BC :
- Under preferences , please check the country selected.
- If you have previously created partner account in BC and selected country and language then it would follow that, please check that.

Adding HTTP Header Attribute

Hi all,
in order to get our Load Balancer to work correctly, we need to add an attribute to every HTTP Request that comes from the portal. In 4.5 we have added it in the common/include.asp file.
Call Response.AddHeader ("MyAttribute", "MyAttributeValue")
Do you know where is the right place to put the code in 5.0.2. Have you any examples of Java code to do this?

I'm going to take a wild guess at this -- on line 463 of com.plumtree.portaluiinfrastructure.activityspace.Interpreter, you might try adding the header you need to the response (IXPResponse) object somewhere inside of HandleGatewayRequest.
A word of caution: I think Plumtree would frown upon this customization, and here's why.
My guess was based on 5.0.1 as I haven't seen the source code provided to customers for 5.0.2 yet, but I suspect that they've refactored Interpreter into uiinfrastructure so that it's compiled instead of distributed to customers (based on this comment in the source):
/* Note: There should be no portaluiinfrastructure code in this file. This * will no longer be an issue when this file, along with AppWarmUp, are * moved to the uiinfrastructure jar. */
So if this is even possible in 5.0.2 (and I suspect it's not), it probably won't be possible to maintain this customization in future releases of Plumtree.
I'm interested to hear the official response from Plumtree because one of our customers is considering making a change to Interpreter and I've been cautioning them against it because it might not be supported in future releases.

Help adding second Wi-Fi network on same AP

I am looking for assistance in trying to setup a second wireless network so we would have two SSID’s (one for public and one for private users).
Our network is setup with native VLAN1 for wired computers and VLAN107 for wireless computers and everything is working great. I’m trying to add VLAN110 as the additional wireless network.
We are using a Cisco WLC2112 and 12 Cisco LAP1131 access points for the wireless network.
The wired network us using Cisco 3500 series POE switches and a Cisco 1800 series router.
The ports on the switch that connect to the AP’s are configured as follows:
switchport access vlan 107
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast
I’m having trouble getting my head around how to setup the second wireless network on its own VLAN (VLAN110), while still using the existing access points. I have added the additional wireless network on the WLC2112, have setup a DHCP server for the new VLAN, but it’s getting an IP address from the same scope as VLAN107.
Where do I configure the new VLAN information on the wireless controller?
Should the ports on the switch that are connected to the AP’s be changed to trunk ports to accommodate both VLANs?

1.You need to create a dynamic interface on WLC.
Controller>Interface> click on New, enter interface(e.g. private) and Vlan ID:110 and apply.
Interface >edit page will appears, then u can enter network , mask and DHCP server address...etc.
2. Now you need to create a WLAN.
WLAN> create New, enter profile name , ssid and Wlan ID here then clcik on apply WLAN>edit page will appear.
Staus should be enable
Choose the right dynamic interface , which we created in step 1.
Chosse specifiy Security and other feature.
3.Configure swicth port for vlan 107 , 110 where WLC is connected.
I hope AP are in same network as your Management interafce of WLC.
