CSS11503 How to hide cookie ARPT info?

Hi everyone,
I have two CSS 11503 in my network, recently we had configured sticky with advanced-balance arrowpoint-cookie.
The sticky is functioning but we found our server's private IP in the IE cookie ARPT box.
Is there any way to hide ARPT info? I'll appreciate if anyone can help on this. Thanks.
Below is an example configuration of my CSS and attached screenshot is Firefox cookie info.

hi,
this is default behaviour of setting IP address in cookie as server identifier. You can configure "string" in service for each service to overcome this behaviour.

  • How to hide system related info (J2EE Engine, JVM, OS) from View Source

    Hi Experts,
    We are developing an external facing webdynpro application for our customers. When i  right click on webdynpro application in browser and select View Source , it is showing all system specific information such as  DC names including model DC , JVM , System OS information (below is  exact details).
    I believe this  will give enough information for Hackers to know about system with out much efforts. Is there any we can avoid showing this information part of browser view source.
    Your comments are  highly appreciate.

    Hi Armin,
    I have the same behavior here. Prod is showing all this info. I assume this is some variable that we need to setup in Prod J2EE. Could you please tell me what is it?
    Also, would that change the stack trace? - Currently, we have WDP dumps in Prod, something that I would get rid off (and have just a 500 error page defined).
    Thanks,
    Daniel

  • How to hide the userid info on the url for a JSP report

    Hi,
    I am aware of creating a key in the cgicmd.dat file. It works when I am calling the report (which is a parameter report) for the first time. But the subsequent report being called by the post method as in :
    <form name="form1" method="post" action="/reports/summary_sptype.jsp?gsip">
    does not work. Where gsip is defined as the key.
    Any help?
    Thanks,
    Ritendra.

    Exaactly-only I want to find the best time needed to finish for an article or multiple articles i.e I do not know how many articles will be available for each vendor beforehand before doing a select on the 2 tables. But once I know the number (maybe 1 or more than 1) I want to allot the best time for that article/lot of articles(maybe JOB_OPEN  technique ?).Also the number of articles may vary over time so the algorithm should take care of that too.-quite a tricky prob :)-I would request the others to see this reply which I think will clarify their doubts.

  • How to hide some helo greeting info ?

    when telnet my server,there displays:
    Server ESMTP (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.02 (built Aug 25 2004))
    How to hide ' (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.02 (built Aug 25 2004))
    ?

    You really don't want to do that. Honestly.
    The whole idea of "security by obfuscation" is nonsense.
    Folk that are trying to hack into your server will try scripts for all servers, and won't be put off by changing the banner.
    There actually are no known security issues with Messaging 6.1 in any case, so having that as a banner is not a bad idea.
    By changing that, you can make my troubleshooting more difficult. Is that truly what you want?

  • How to hide parameters in bar address ? (GET vs POST)

    Hello,
    I have to develop a web application and I would like to resolve some security issues.
    My problem is that, when I pass parameters from a stored procedure to another, every parameters are shown in the bar address.
    According to you, what is the best solution ?
    I have tried to use the POST method for forms but it only works for one button.
    Example :
    /* -------- Form -------- */
    HTP.PRINT('<form name="subProjectManagement" action="./C3bd7.incr2n.addSubProject">');
          HTP.PRINT('<input type="hidden" name ="p_id_proj" value="2060" />');
          HTP.PRINT('<input type="hidden" name ="error" value="" />');
          /* -------- "Add" Button -------- */
          HTP.PRINT('<input type="button" name="add" value="Add" onClick= this.subProjectManagement.submit()/>');
          /* -------- "Delete" Button -------- */
          HTP.PRINT('<input type="button" name="delete" value="Delete" onClick="Delete()"');
    HTP.FORMCLOSE;- When I click on the "Add" button, the procedure addSubProject is called and the parameters are well hidden in the bad adderss.
    - For the "Delete" button, I made a different process because I can't put two different submit buttons in one form. In another word, the POST mechanism can't work for the "Delete" button so I do not know how to hide parameters in this case.
    As for direct links, I do not know what do to.
    Example :
    HTP.PRINT('<a href="./c3bd7.incr2n.subprojectList?p_id_proj=' ||p_id|| '">Go back</a>');- I am using this kind of link to switch from a page to another, and once again I do not know how to hide the parameters...
    The official documentation encourages to use cookies (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14251/adfns_web.htm#CHECAHEB) : is it easy to implement ?
    Thank you a lot in advance !
    Best regards.

    Hi,
    if you willing to investigate how one could reuse session variables, then that might offer you some solution. Browser session variables can be passed on from page to page. Trouble is, back and forward browser buttons don't work so well.

  • How to hide the view latest instance option for the reports in XIR3

    Created an access level and denied the rights "view document instances" and "view document instances that the user owns" in the access level.
    Applied this access level for a particular group on a particular folder.
    Login to Infoview and when view the history,there are no instances for a particular report under that folder.
    But we could still see the 'View Latest instance' option in the properties of the report and when click on it,we are able to view the report.
    As per the security assigned,the user should only be able to view the instances owned by him.
    Plz help me how to hide the option in INFOVIEW

    In 9.3.1 (not sure about 9.2) there is a table in your BIPlus repository which stores preferences/profile information, however, having a user simply log in to WA doesn't appear to automatically create a row for them in this table. (So this may not be a viable solution to your situation, I'm still looking for one myself.) This table stores lots of preference info such as whether or not to show the Main Menu, Toolbar, Masthead, etc. by default.
    To hide the View Pane, edit the data in the SHOW_INFO_PANEL column, change it from a 1 to a 0 and for that user the View Pane will not longer appear by default.
    HYA_USER_PREFS
    But again, this only works if you already see the user in the table otherwise I guess maybe they have to 'touch' their Preference before it creates an entry in that table. Haven't figured that part out yet, and Support didn't have any information.
    If anyone has found a way to maneuver through the table structures I'd love to hear any insight you can offer.
    Before you make any changes to the data in this table be sure to take adequate repository backups, and use caution as usual.
    I'm going to create a Shared Preference and have each user point to it the first time they log in - but then you lose the ability for each user to have their own personal folder as their default, so it's still not the ideal solution. Really wish there was a way for Admins to set certain prefs. A coworker reminded me under 7.? or 6.x things like View Pane were system-level settings which was easy to control, but now it's at the user level.
    Good luck,
    Karen

  • How to hide options from InfoView's "Schedule Report Page"?

    Hi,
    We are using Business Objects XI R2 InfoView (Java version) to schedule the reports.
    Whle schedling the reports, schedule page displays the following option to the users -
    1. When
    2. Database Logon
    3. Filters
    4. Destination
    5. Format
    6. Print Settings
    7. Server Group
    8. Events
    9. Parameters
    And I need to display only three options (When, Format and Parameters) to the user and want to hide the rest of the options from the user.
    Please let me know how to acheive this using the InfoView (Java version)?
    Thanks,
    Vicky

    Thanks for the reply.
    I do not want the user to enter / change the database logon information and other setting of the report. As I set those info using the CMC.
    And writing the our own pages using SDK will take lots of efforts and require java professionals for that.
    I only need to hide those options please let me know how to hide them.
    Thanks.

  • How to hide custom tab in crmd_order

    hello gurus,
    In crm how to hide a custom tab (which is created through EEWB Transaction )for particular order types??
    ex: if a tab named ADDITIONAL DATA B is holding the info like contact name ,customer PO etc.,here my requirement is to hide that tab for some order types like CR & DR.
    Plz help me out in this issue..
    Bye--
    Pradeepa

    Hello Pradeepa,
    2 options to replicate the custom data to R/3:
    A- via EEWB, flag the 'R/3' flag
    extract from doc:
    Field Relevant for R/3 Execution?
    Specifies whether you use CRM Sales with R/3 Supply Chain Execution, and whether you wish to transfer the field to the R/3 System.
    Use
    If you set this flag, the system generates a BAdI implementation that transfers the field to R/3 BAPI structures. If your executing system is an R/3 Enterprise System, the system enhances the BAPI structures and tables for sales orders in the R/3 System so that the field is transferred automatically to the R/3 sales order.
    So, with this flag, during generation, the whole flow to R/3 and also the fields in the tables in R/3 are created.
    B- write your own integration flow via exits/badi in the middleware to integrate the fields into existing fields in R/3 tables.
    Regards,
    Fred

  • How to use Session ID info to send sequent requests to Https Server ?

    Hey , Gurus!
    Another problem for your talents :
    By using InputStream , I gain all info sent back from the Https server . And Session ID info is included , such as
    Session ID: {130, 17, 0, 0, 130, 170, 25, 235, 97, 13, 66, 95, 24, 241, 214, 8, 121, 216, 121, 64, 168, 15, 69, 65, 191, 192, 216, 68, 247, 130, 9, 164}
    How do I use this info in my Java Application to send next request to the Https Server ?
    Should I change the above Session ID info into another format ?
    Should I include the converted info in the Request Header or the Body ?
    Would you please give me an example ?
    Thanks a lot ...
    Have a nice day !

    Hi,
    You have to catpture the "set-cookie" header from the response which you got in the first request. The same "set-cookie" value has to be set in the subsequent requests' header. Please see the below code snippet to collect the "set-cookie" and set the cookie in the subsequest requests.
    //how to Collect the "set-cookie" from the response
    if (urlConnection != null)
    for (int i = 1;(key = urlConnection.getHeaderFieldKey(i)) != null; i++)
    System.out.println(urlConnection1.getHeaderFieldKey(i) + ": " + urlConnection.getHeaderField(key));
    if (key.equalsIgnoreCase("set-cookie"))
    String cookiValue = urlConnection1.getHeaderField(key);
    //How to set the cookie value in the subsequent requests
    urlConnection2.setRequestProperty("Cookie", cookiValue);
    Good luck.

    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
    You can even use the Screen variants to hide the standard fields on sourcing cockpit.
    Go to transaction SHD0--> Screen Variants.
    Transaction Code: BBPSOCO01
    To hide fields on the worklist the screen variant is BBP_SOCO_WL. Make a Z copy of this screen variant say ZBBP_SOCO_WL. Go inside this Z screen variant in change mode and tick in invisible box opposite to the field you want to hide. Save the screen variant.
    Now go to BADI BBP_SCREENVARIANT
    Method GET_SCREENVARIANT_SOCO
    Assign EV_SCVARIANT = 'ZBBP_SOCO_WL'.
    This will definately hide the fields. For bringing internal note , you need to create a customer field similar to internal note and assign the value of internal note to it.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Pradeep
