Csscan - unable to be found

Have ran into an issue that I just can't seem to solve, I need to transform a DB from characterset "x" to unicode (AL32UTF8), looking at the documentation I need "csscan" for this. But I can not find it anywhere not in the folders it should be in nor in any way selectable for installation. I can not find a download for 10 and/or up, is there a specific option in the installation I need to pick, or can I actually download the necessary components (of which csscan is the most important) from somewhere ?
Any help is appreciated (I am well aware that the solution is probably very easy and I have overlooked it several times, however I can't the forest through the trees anymore...)
Kind regards,
Tim

  • Nianlys.dll unable to be found on Windows 7

I am having trouble installing my application on a particular computer. I have deployed this application several times on a number of computers, but in this particular case I receive an error when running the program -
"System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'nianlys.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070007E)
    I have ensured that nianlys.dll is present in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\Analysis.
I have ensured that libiomp5md.dll and LV110000_BLASLAPACK.dll, the files from mkl.msm, are present. nianlys.dll also has a dependency on nimetautils.msm, but I'm not sure which dlls are included in this.
I have ensured the program is installed by running the setup.exe as an administrator (as opposed to running the .msi that is generated, see here).
I have ensured the computer in question is up to date with updates to the .net framework via windows update.
I have tried reinstalling the program several times, sometimes with a freshly-recompiled installer.
I have tried adding in the 64 bit nianlys.msm into the setup project manually - this throws an error because the TargetPlatform property of the setup project is set to x86. The 32 bit version is, of course, already present in the detected dependecies.
Interestingly, taking a copy of nianlys.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\Analysis and inserting it into the directory the program is installed in throws up a different error - in this case, the error is "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Excpetion from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)".
Taking a copy of the 64 bit version of nianlys.dll from another computer (default location C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\Analysis) and inserting it into the directory the program is installed in throws up a third type of error - "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'nianlys.dll': A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007045A)". It should be noted that this .dll was present before installing the program on the machines that the program works on, but is *not* present on the target computer that is throwing up problems.
Taking the same 64 bit nianlys.dll and inserting it into the location it was found on on another computer, C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\Analysis, does not solve the original error.
Even more interstingly, I have tried to reproduce the error on a computer on which the program works - removing the x64 version of nianlys.dll throws up the original HRESULT: 0x80070007E error, whereas removing the x86 version causes a windows installer to appear when running the program.
On a computer upon which the program works with no problems, the windows task manager does not seem to indicate that the program is 32 bit (with the *32 suffix on the program name), despite the target platform being set to x86.
It seems from all this that there is some issue with the nianlys.dll being used in both its x64 and x86 versions, despite the target platform only being x86. I'm really running out of ideas about what kind of thing I could try to solve this problem, so any assistance would be most appreciated.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

A couple of things to try that I remember doing when I was trying to fix my problem:
    - Make sure the setup project has "target platform" property set to the same target as the "platform" entries that you changed on each of your projects. It's no good setting all of your projects to expect x86 dlls if you install the x64 ones!
    - Make sure you are installing the project by running the setup.exe rather than the .msi file that is generated after compiling. Apparently there's an issue whereby the registry entry for nianlys.dll isn't created on Windows Vista.
    - Follow the directions on this page for "special considerations". Nianlys.dll has a dependency on nimetautils.msm, and for that to be properly installed you need a system folder entry and a programfiles folder entry in your setup project, apparently. http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372636F-01/mstudiowebhelp/html/netmergemodules/

  • Downloaded music unable to be found on computer

I just downloaded a bunch of music to I-Tunes. After I put them on my nano little "!" symbols appeared next to all of my songs. A repeated message kept popping up saying that the library could not be saved because it could not locate the folder. I have searched the computer and hard drive high and low and can't find the folder or any of the music. I've also tried all the extentions .m4p ect.It says the "My Music" folder is the default. That folder is nowhere to be found as well.I had not backed up my music yet either as I just downloaded it. Have I lost all of my music????

  • WRE53G Unable to Be found during installation

I recently purchased the range expander WRE54G version 3. During the installation process it is able to find my wireless connection just fine, however when it looks for the WRE54G it says it cannot be found. My expander is plugged in and powered. I did everything that the booklet said to do. What is the problem?
Also, what does it mean if the link light is flashing between blue and red? The Activity light stays blue always.
If anyone can help me, that would be great!!

Hi! I'm Engr. Michael, a network engineer from the Philippines. Set this up ok.. connect
your computer to port number 1 of the router.. Range expander to port number 2 and modem to
internet port. and Make sure you're router is unsecured (no security enabled), press and
hold the autoconfig button on your range expander for 10 seconds. wait for the link and
activity lights to be blue. if both of them are blue then the range expander is good to go!
if the activity light is still red, press and hold the reset button (on the range expander)
for 30 seconds, then after 30 seconds unplug the power from the range expander and plug it
back in. wait for the lights to be stable and repeat the process all over again.. You're
only good to go if both lights are blue. Tell me if it works ok? thanks for your time.

received error message  - the procedure entry point_objc_init_image could not be located in the dynamic link library objc.dll.  unable to launch iCloud.  Any suggections?

I had roughly the same error. I fixed it by running the iCloud control panel update from apple software update. The problem cropped up after I ran the most recent iTunes update, I've personally been having issues with iTunes updates being finicky since upgrading to Windows 8.1, I've had to download installers rather than running the update directly through Software Update, so it's possible Apple is not fully addressing compatibility issues for newer versions of Windows. Ultimately it seems to be a missing file issue, so any update, installer, or install verification/repair that directly addresses the iCloud files should see and replace the missing file.
Also it looks like Apple is either unaware of this problem or not addressing it at all, there are about a dozen support requests from within the last month all asking this same question regarding iCloud, just with different specific files unable to be found. None of them have answers.
    Hopefully this works for you

  • IPod Classic 160gb No longer Syncs

I've had my iPod classic for about 2 years now and have had no problems other than a few issues with displaying the correct album artwork.
Two days ago, my iPod started to fail syncs, with a variety of error messages, including error 53, error 1392, claimed as corrupted and unreadable, claimed as being unable to be found, and claimed as having duplicate file names. It will sync up to a certain point and then dump two to four error messages on me, with no pattern I can discern.
I have tried restarting my computer, restoring my iPod, letting windows 'fix the errors on my drive', and reinstalling iTunes, as well as manually loading my songs onto my iPod and turning off Windows UAC, all in a variety of orders.
Stranger still, the syncing process will leave about 1500 songs on my iPod, out of my library of over 10,000, with no pattern I can discern.
I would be very thankful for any help.

ok, when i convert a video .mpg file into .mp4...then Sync it into ipod.it goes into my VIDEOS folder on ipod. but when i play the video...
visuals appear, clip plays...but no sound. why is this?
Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.
See:iPod plays video but not audio.
You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
See this for help: Guide to converting video for iPod (Mac/Windows).

Unfortunately, it sounds as if your internal disk failed (hardware failure).
    Things to try:
    (1) Boot from your Apple Hardware Test CD/DVD, which sometimes is a separate disk or sometimes is on the original OS install disk. Run the tests, all of them, to see what is amiss.
    (2) Reset PRAM as described in  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379 . I don't think this is likely to help because even though your startup disk is not being selected, it seems that your internal disk is simply unable to be found or mounted, implying hardware failure more than software. But it's worth a try.
Probably time to take your computer in for repairs, either at the Apple Store or to an authorized Apple repair shop. Most likely they will simply replace your drive. You could also ask them to mount the old drive in an enclosure to see if files can be copied from it if you don't have a backup.

  • Why does my Vault "disconnect?"

I have repeatedly created vaults on an external 800 Firewire drive only to have them completely disappear after the PowerBook G4 goes to sleep. Not just "disconnected" where I can update the path, but completely gone, unable to be found on the volume where they were created, either by browsing or a Spotlight search. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thankfully I do several nightly backups, on the same 800 Firewire desktop drive and a network drive, via SuperDuper, so I am relatively safe. But why is Aperture losing the vaults I create? I should mention that, in order to save disk space on my PowerBook G4, I use a WiebeTech portable drive for the main Aperture library, which is daisy-chained to the main desktop 800 Firewire backup drive where I am trying to maintain a vault. Any thoughts would be appreciated. As it stands now, the vault function is completely worthless to me. Thank you.

    Just gave up!
