Yes, you can run CE/UWC without Calendar Server. The Calendar tab simply does not show up.
JES 5 is scheduled to make a rather major change. ME will be gone, and UWC will communicate via IMAP.....
This may slip to JES6, but that's the last map I heard about..........

2) How and from where can I get the API to embed on my website?
3) I want to automate the batch conversion process so that no human intervention is required. Can I do that?

The batch processor in Audition is an internal tool, not an external one so no, you can't use it on your website because it's DAW, not a web development kit. There's no API available.

PRC Converter Tool doesn't work!

i wanna to use the PRC Converter Tool, included in midp_palm-1_0-beta.zip, to converter the sampler.jad to a prc file. However it doesn't work. No File had generated after i selected the sampler.jad file and clicked the convert button.
i'm using win2k with jdk1.4.
any idea?

I found that it's not work only in jre1.4. It works fine in jre1.3.1.
But the MIDP for Plam OS User's Guide claim that use jre 1.3 or later. Is it a bug in jre1.4?

Question Raw Converter Tool Box Again

I have a question on the
Raw Converter tool box. When I open some Raw photos, correct them with the Raw Converter Tool Box that automatically comes up with PSE 8, and then click "Open Images" I am taken to the PSE view screen as if I had opened a JPEG. The Raw Converter Tool Box then vanishes. How can I get the tool box back without closing and then reopening the Raw File? Thanks Robert.

Converter tool usage

Hi,
I am trying to convert class files to cap file using converter tool in dev kit 2.2.1
Go to bin directory of dev kit.
run command line:
converter -d rootFolder
The output of command line is always "C:/ Program" is not recognized as an internal or external command..."
Could you tell me where i have to modify to make it work? I am using windows xp.
ps: I know there is a way of using file config, could you give me an example of the file config? i am not sure how to structure it.

PRC Converter Tool Err

Hi!
I've been using the PRC Converter Tool for Palm successfully for several conversions, but now I encounter the following for one of my projects:
"Result:Failed: JAD error:JAR server not found"
Appreciate if someone could advice what's causing the error. TIA!

There are 5 predefined attributes that must be present in an application descriptor JAD file:
MIDlet-Name
MIDlet-Version
MIDlet-Vendor
MIDlet-Jar-URL
MIDlet-Jar-Size
If any of these 5 attributes are not present, then there will be errors.
From the looks of the error message you received, it looks like the MIDlet-Jar-URL entry is not in the JAD file.
Inspect your JAD file and let us know the outcome, I'm sure the people of the forums will be eager to know.

CatOS to IOS Converter tool

Hi,
Does anybody have any experience of using the CatOS to IOS Converter tool on a Sup720?
Just to be clear, I'm not referring to the Configuration conversion tool but to the actual OS conversion tool. The CCO document (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_tech_note09186a008070f124.shtml)
indicates the tool was tested on a Sup2 only but i was wondering if it could be used with the Sup720's as well?
If not i assume everyone would suggest the manual method as the preferred method of converting from Hybrid to Native?

"You're missing the video converter tool"

Recently I have been seeing an ad popping up on Safari on my iPad that says "You're missing the video converter tool". This seems malicious. How do I get rid of it?

Stop visiting the sites where it occurs
Turn off pop ups: Settings app > Safari > Block Popups [turn ON]
You may also want to clear your browser cache while you are there (Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data)
It is also likely not malicious, just an add (and annoying), but regardless will not be able to install malware.

Exportmap option in converter tool

I try to create CAP and EXP files for the library components (lang, framework, security, etc.) of a JCVM.
In order for the JCVM to be 'universal', the different tokens (class, method) should be those as defined by the export files JCDK.
The Converter tool has the -exportmap option just for this.
However when I specify the -exportmap option, the file so defined is ignored by the Converter tool.
Also the documentation does not seem to be correct, since besides an export filename one must also specify an AID and version.
Can anyone tell me the correct format, preferably with an example?

This option is never implemented by SAP so it does not do anything. It has been there for 5 years but SAP is not even removing it.

I have a permanent box on my desktop saying that I am missing the video converter tool and to click here and when I do that nothing happens. can't get it and can't get box to leave...any ideas?

Connecting converted tool from VBAI to LabView

I'm really trying to connect to VI's together, one being a converted tool from VBAI and the other one, just a normal Labview coding.
The two VI's are attached with this message. Could anyone help me connect them together?

I know I didn.t give much precision on that, but that's because I'm not so confortable with LabView, but I'll try and do my best.
So to start with, I am using a thermal camera provide by a company called LAND. LAND has developed a few SubVI so that the thermal camera can be used on LabView. This is represented by attachment 1.
Then, a few weeks ago, just for a trial, I have tried converting a tool from Vision Builder for Automated Inspection to LabView (no problems). After a little while, I manage to connect the new tool converted from Vision Builder (useless tool but just for trial; attachment 2) to the main SubVI, and data was coming out of all this (everything up until there was fine).
Then the next thing was to create the tool I wanted to use on Vision Builder, which didn't take long and I converted it to Labview. But finally, when it came to connecting the main SubVI (attachment 1) to the usefull tool from VBAI I wanted to use (attachment 3), I couldn't manage to find my way.
So this is what I am trying to do, that's to say, being able to use the tool developped in VBAI (attachment 3) to analyse the image I get from the main SubVI (attachment1) and get some data.
Any kind of help would be highly appreciated.

Import address book into messenger express (csv to ldif tool)

i have read here there is no support for this.
but i searched google, and found what appears to be a nice tool from novell.

it includes an exe, a control file, and maybe some sort of data mapping file.
i have my csv of addresses, does anyone have experience with this tool?
can someone provide advice on the formatting sun's directory requires, and how to import it into a user's address book (so that the addresses would show-up using messenger express)?

Free batch video convert tool?

Hi. I've been going through the forums looking for a video tool to convert clips to a format that is very editable in Premiere CS5. Any advice would be most welcome. I've downloaded about ten tools so far, some better, some crashing, some producing results but one file at a time or so.
My requirements wishes for the video tool are:
- free
- batch processing
- keep most of the original filenames
- some ease of use would be nice (batch scripting VLC was beyond my skills)
Example scenario: I have 75 .mov (quicktime, h.264, 848x400) clips that are fairly short (~20sec.) shot with a cheap pocket sized camera. Premiere runs into problems when inserting that many clips into a timeline. Uncompressed dv-avi seem like a good format for editing. Perhaps some other format might work as well, just as long as it's editable and no noticeable loss of quality in the conversion. Occasionally some longer clips tend to create 4+ gigabyte avi files, which seem rather large and thus inconvenient. My environment: win7 64bit, 16gb ram, intel 6 core cpu, decent graphics card, couple of terabytes HD space.
I'm pretty novice when it comes to video conversions so feel free to provide detailed advice. I haven't had too much luck googling.

In the past I had recommended using AVS tools for conversion,
but that does not address the SWF to FLV conversion needs that many
of us have. I found a completely free tool for this and it is quite
good.

From Windows Explorer just drag your files onto SUPER
and then select the ones to convert
and then press Encode
Small files, nicely converted to FLV

I updated my original email with better instructions. This

I have multiple firewalls ahere and I scan with Norton and
McAfee. No virus issues noted.
This is good software.
Things are good. I still refuse to upgrade to Captivate 3
until Adobe shows me that they provide software patches. Support
here is of course excellent and perhaps fanatical. But why is it
that software patches are harder to get than the link above?
Quarterly patches are needed and it shows dedication.
My PET PEEVE in all of this is actually a bit twisted. The
folks here that comment and provide feedback ROCK!. But when a
person posts to this forum that they are crashing or they are
shouting that THIS THING IS *%@&, it just about kills me...
because:
1. You folks ROCK!
2. Adobe is causing bad press [here] with a lack of patches
3. It has been this way for years
4. It has been this way through multiple owners of the code
5. Adobe owns Flash and several related products
So my only conclusion is that Captivate is small potatoes to
Adobe and it is "near orphaned" in tems of programming support.
What a shame because with fewer negative posts, there would be
fewer overall posts and there would likely be more fanatical
comments and more sales for Adobe.
They just don't get how reliable software can sell itself.

HTML to PDF convertion tool

Hi.
I need a tool which let me to convert HTML pages to PDF documents. It would be great If I could find a Java library for that (free or to pay for). Does anyone know something about this kind of tool? Once again: I'm intersted in HTML to PDF conversion NOT to create PDF from pure Java code.

I don't think that you'll find a native HTML to PDF converter for Java. If you want something windows based I think you can take the HTML to PDF converter library for .NET from http://www.dotnet-reporting.com or from http://www.winnovative-software.com and build a ASP.NET 2.0 web service that you can furher call from your Java application.
All the conversion can be done in a few lines for C# code:
