CTBW_META tcode in SAP BI 7.0 version

I have about 1300 Characteristics for which I need to create three different for each class type (001, 200, 300) in ECC. Creating extractor in ECC with CTBW is working good.
I have a question regarding creating 1300 Infoobjects in BI 7.0, whether CTBW_META tcode works in only SAP BW 3.x version not in SAP BI 7.0..?
Since I need 1300 infoobjects in BI, creating them manually will take lot of time.
So my question is whether CTBW_META works in SAP BW 3.5 version only but not in SAP BI 7.0 or I can create 3.5 datasources in SAP BI 7.0
Thanks

Hi,
It will work Please check this thread for more details:

You can execute the following commands in the transaction code (tcode) field with Enter. You will find some useful transaction codes below to work in tandem with the following commands:
To call a transaction - In the same session (window) Enter: /nxxxx (xxxx = transaction code). - In an additional session, Enter: /oxxxx (xxxx = transaction code).
If you enter this function before any of the tcodes below, you are able to break out of your current screen/business and begin a completely new session. Otherwise, the current business process has to be terminated, and return to the initial user screen (the main menu) has to be initiated before entering tcode spro). /o tcode saves you the effort of having to do this.
To end the current transaction Enter: /n. Caution: Unsaved changes are lost without warning
To delete the current session. Enter: /i.
To generate a session list Enter: /o.
To log off from the system Enter: /nend.

  • List of Tcodes in SAP(Technical)

    Hi Gurus,
Send me a list of Tcodes in SAP.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sakthi

    Hello Shakthi,
    Transactions:
search_sap_menu - Finds the menu path to a transaction - Can either type in TX code in the search criteria or a description- ie. 1st try SE38 and then ABAP.... the returned result is 'bottom to top'.
    EDI Specific Transactions
VOE1 Translation between EDI categories and SD item categories
VOE2 Table EDSC view. Customer link to sales area detail
VOE3 Table view EDPVW. Add partner types that will be transferred to the IDoc
VOE4 Table view EDPAR. Link external partner number with our internal number
    WEDI EDI Administrator Menu
    BALE Idoc Administration
    Scheduling agreements
OVA9 Create entries for each sold-to customer for which you will receive EDI schedule releases. At implementation, the only field that needs to be maintained is "Check PO number," which causes SAP to make sure that the PO number sent on the release matches the PO number on the schedule agreement. This transaction updates table T663A. SAP will not post an EDI schedule release, if this record is missing.
OVAI Create entries for each Vendor / Partner description combination. (Vendors must match sold-to Acct. at Cust., and Partner descriptions must match ship-to Partner descriptions.) This transaction updates table T661W. SAP uses this table to determine the schedule agreement sold-to partner.
OVAJ If you would like SAP to post schedule requirements using discrete dates only, instead of weekly and/or monthly buckets, you can indicate the days of the week that you deliver to this customer. SAP will divide the customer's quantity for a week or month evenly into the days of the week specified by the distribution function code. This code must be sent in the DELINS IDoc in field E1EDP16-ETVTF.
    IDoc Transactions
WE09 / WE02 IDoc lists according to content. View IDocs via specific IDoc number or business application detail contained within the contents of a segment.

WE20 Partner profile configuration. Add partner detail together with inbound and outbound relationships. We also incorporate message control on the outbound IDocs. Utilize the organizational units to trap functional errors for further processing
    WE30 Create IDoc extension type
    WE31 Segment create
WE57 Assign function module to logical message and IDoc type
    WE60 IDoc type documentation tool
WE82 Link Release detail to Extension IDoc Type
BD55 Conversion rule user exit. Link conversion rule user exit to the different system \ partner combinations
BD87 Reprocess IDocs in error or waiting for action. (Both inbound and outbound in 4.6. Use BD88 in prior versions)

how can i find SAP Gui logon pad version ?

    Hi,
That's easy. At the top of the logon, you see a title bar with a general version indication. At the most left of it, you'll see an icon. Click on that and choose about SAP logon and you'll get detailed info.

If you are using EP 7.0, then NWDS 7.0.YY version need to be used. //YY depends on your  patch of EP7 .As you have mentioned your are using NWDS 7.0.12, that means your portal SP level is SP12.
In my prject i am using JDK 1.4 for NWDS 7.0.15 and its works fine.I have asked two of my colleagues , they told that in their project they are using JDK 1.5 for EP 7.0 server and application is working fine for them.

The dispatcher process thread begins but haves a status - cannot connect to the message server
When I install and activate MS loopback Adapter on my Laptop, I get the following in SAP MMC
The Message Server and Dispatcher Starts Off, After a while (a minute), Dispatcher status turns to Message Server COnnection OK, Dialog Queue Time 0:00, after a While (a minute), it gives a message and stops. After this point Message Server is shown as running and Dispatcher is stopped.
I am attaching the dev_disp for reference.  Obviously I think the problem lurking somewhere in the midst of Network Adapter Configuration - Please help me to resolve the same.

Also, when I use NIPING - it gies me a familiar message WASNOTREACHED...

  • SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial Version password expired

    Hi All,
I just got an installer for the SAP NetWeaver ABAP Trial Version and I was able to install the Trial version. However, my license have already expired. So what I did was is to renew the license. But my problem right now is that I can't logon using BCUSER. I'm getting  "Logon not possible (error in license check".
During the time when I renew the license, i didn't encounter any errors or problems.
Could anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
How can I have BCUSER up and running since I need this account to practice ABAP?
I tried deleting the old license using SAP* user because I don't think it is possible to do using that user.
    Thanks
    James

I have had a similar issue but the above remedy did not fix my problem.  I had successfully installed the trial version and used it until the license expired.  After downloading a new license, I installed it using SAP*.  The installation was successful however, when trying to login using BCUSER I am still getting that same error.
Under slicense, user sap*, I have the following:
    NSP     TEMPLICENSE     NetWeaver_ADA     26.10.2008     25.01.2009     Perm     DEMOSYSTEM     000000000311079138      Valid
Sorry for the sloppy cut&paste but you can see that the install appears to be valid.
Is my only recourse to uninstall and reinstall the trial version?  Also, is there some way for me to backup any of the work I have done in SE80 before wiping the install?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rob

  • Error Install SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial Version 7.01

    Hello everyone,
I'm trying to install SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial Version 7.01.
My operating system is Windows XP Professional.
I have 3 GB of RAM and 80 GB of free space.
Unfortunately, the installation process is stuck in:

Import Monitor jobs: running 3, waiting 20, completed 5, failed 0, total 28.
In log files there is no error.
However, after 3 hours the installation stops.
       Can anyone help please?
