Ctrl + 0 not filling up window size

Historically, when I pressed ctrl + 0 in Photoshop, an image came to fill up the available window space within Photoshop. Now, ctrl + 0 causes the image to become roughly 3 inches tall. If the image is twice as tall as it is wide, it becomes roughly 1.5" x 3". If it is twice as wide as it is tall, it becomes 6" x 3". But it never fills up the entire window space, which is about 5". I don't know why the image is defaulting to this size, and it is too small to work with. Did I inadvertently change some setting? Is it possible to restore ctrl + 0 to make the image fill the available window size again?

Is the command still the one shown for View > Fit on Screen or could it have been changed with Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts?
Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels visible?

  • Firefox will not remember last window size

    I am using Firefox 32.0.2 on a Windows 7 computer.
    Starting yesterday when a new window opens it will not remember the window size. It always opens to a small window that takes up about 1/4 of the screen. It should remember the last window size used and open new windows to that size.
    I have not changed anything on the computer since it last worked that I am aware of (it is a work computer so IT could have done something).
    I have already done a reset and deleted and recreated localstore.rdf.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You may have a corrupt '''localstore.rdf''' file.

  • Cropped image not filling the same size cell

    Hi all,
    I've been seeing an interesting issue with the print module in LR3.  OS is Win7 64-bit BTW.
    Take an image, crop it to 8x10, 5x7 or whatever.  Go to Print Module and select an 8x10 cell size template or a 5x7 (2) cells sized template..  The image won't fill the cell until you either choose the Zoom to Fill selection.  When you uncheck this option, the pic shrinks just a bit.  But if you select and unselect Stroke Border, the image will fill the cell without the overlap of Zoom to Fill and not shrink back off the edges of the cells.
    Anyone else see this?  It didn't work that way in LR2.x.  Is this a known bug?  Feedback appreciated.
    Tony...

    I see the opposite: LR2 used to crop to much when Zooming to fill. LR3 fills just right.

  • Why will finder not remember the window size that I set it to?

    Every time I open finder I have to drag it out to the size I want it. It will not remember the size I put it at. How do I get it to remember. MBA Mid-2011 with Lion installed 10.7.4.
    If I restart it its back to a real small size again and with a 11" MBA that is small.

    I don't think it's a Lion issue, as I have no such problems.  But the way window positions work is a bit hard to grasp, as it can depend as much on how you get a particular window open as on the folder you're choosing to view.
    If you can double-click your hard drive icon on the desktop and get the window position and view to stick, but after a restart it has forgotten that position and view when performing the same action, then you can try deleting the invisible .DS_Store file inside the relevant folder (in this case, at the root of the hard drive).

  • [MacOSX 10.10] [RDP 8.0.12] Remote screen does not match containing window size or monitor

    Hello. I am facing a very strange issue that I have never seen before. When I connect to a remote host, the host's screen does not match my client screen, and instead spills over into two monitors. This happens in full screen mode. When switching to windowed
    mode, only a portion of the remote host shows, the rest is a black screen.
    I would love to post example pics but this site wont let me until I verify my account, but I have no email asking me to do so...

    A few notes:
    - I have tried a restart.
    - I am running two displays, one is the built in 1440x900, one is an external 1920x1200
    - I am on OSX10.10.1
    - RDP is 8.0.12
    - I have tested this against Windows 7 Pro machines
    - This was working fine a week ago, just started this week.

  • Photo not filling up window anymore

    I must have done something by accident while looking at some recent photos, because the photo no longer fills up the entire photo window.
    There is some white space on the top and on the bottom of the window. I have iPhoto 4 that came with my Mac OSX Jaguar edition. Can anyone tell me what I did and how to undo it? Thank you!!!!

    Sorry about my panic attack. I quit iPhoto, and when I went back to it, the window was filled up again. Thanks anyway.

  • Widescreen window size query

    Apologies if this query has already been aired.
    I want to burn a FCE project to DVD but have met a problem whereby the widescreen (16:9) final image isn't 'full size'.
    Originally, the movie was created using iMovie and then sent to iDVD and has been put to good use.
    However, the iMovie project file has been lost and so I ripped the video from one of the DVD's and then used FCE to re-edit, add content etc.
    This done, I've exported the movie to QuickTime with, I think, the correct 16:9 settings, etc and then used iDVD to create a disc image and the burnt copies using Toast. However, the final viewed image is of a reduced size (correct 16:9 proportions).
    The same movie which was at one time edited with iMovie and then sent to iDVD is viewed correctly, ie full screen.
    Can anyone please tell me where I'v gone wrong or advise on a more "correct" way of burning DVD from FCE?
    Many thanks,
    TonyT

    Did you check item properties as I asked? What are the item properties for the clips you imported exactly? Is the anamorphic flag set? What are the item properties for the edited sequence exactly? Is the anamorphic flag set there?
    Tom,
    Sorry, if my answers seem vague it's because I'm somewhat of a novice with regards to FCE, so please bear with me. I've resorted to using FCE here because iMovie is not producing what I require. (I intend to use FCE from now on, btw).
    It would, I guess, be easier if I could send screen shots which may identify the problem better.
    The item properties on both the imported QT movie and the new QT sequence have Anamorphic 'checked'.
    7. You are exporting to QuickTime Movie, correct, and taking that to QuickTime Pro, correct?
    "not fill the screen as the original iMovie result did" Once again, does this mean it's letterboxed? Please tell how it is not filling the screen and what you see. I cannot see your computer.
    I am exporting the finished FCE project to QT Pro and when burnt to DVD, the finished product is in the correct 16:9 ratio but is a smaller image surrounded by black. The original filled the screen.
    I cannot really describe it any better with words; again, a screen-shot would better describe.
    I cannot help feeling the problem lies in QuickTime somewhere. This is because a similar problem exists when the QT file is imported back into iMovie. In the iMovie window the 16:9 aspect ratio is maintained but the overall image does not fill the window and this is in spite of the correct iMovie prefs being applied.
    Using the same QT file imported into FCE presumably will inherit the 'problem'.
    You should know that the resulting video will never be to the standard of the original video as it was heavily compressed to get it onto the DVD.
    Yes, I'm expecting some degradation in video quality, but this problem of not retaining full screen isnot what I expected.
    Again, your patience is appreciated.

  • How do I get things to expand/contract with window size?

    RE: www.hawaiihosa.org
    I'm working on a website for my organization...and it looks
    alright when the windows of internet explorer and firefox are
    expanded...but when the windows are smaller, the heading remains
    the same size, and the text moves behind my vertical menu bar on
    the left.
    Is there a way to make it so that the header is the same
    width (with proportional height) as the width of the white area? I
    think the white area is set to a width of 80 percent or something.
    When windows are smaller, is there a way to make it so that
    the text in the body of the pages stays where they originally were
    (to the right of the menu bar...and not behind)?
    Another thing not related to window size...how do I get the
    text to be vertically in line on one side? Whenever write anything
    and it extends below the menu bar, it uses the full white space. I
    want it to have the same width of writing space as the rest of the
    page. In other words, I want it to be constricted to the right of
    the menu bar with the text being justified to the left.
    Hopefully someone can halp us with this.
    Thank you very much!

    If you didn't get the url...its
    www.hawaiihosa.org

    I would set the page to adhere to a minimum width. Add
    min-width: 610px;
    to your css as shown below. (this won't work in IE browsers
    prior to 7
    so if you want to support that google min-width for IE6)
    .twoColLiqLtHdr #container {
    width: 80%; /* this will create a container 80% of the
    browser width */
    background: #FFFFFF;
    min-width: 610px;
    margin: 0 auto; /* the auto margins (in conjunction with a
    width)
    center the page */
    border: 1px solid #000000;
    text-align: left; /* this overrides the text-align: center
    on the body
    element. */
    To have the text vertically inline on one side as you put it
    try adding
    this to your css stylesheet:
    #container p {
    margin-left: 190px;
    Instead of the width for the side bar being 24% make it 170px
    as shown
    below:
    .twoColLiqLtHdr #sidebar1 {
    float: left;
    width: 170px; /* since this element is floated, a width must
    be given */
    background: #FFFFFF; /* the background color will be
    displayed for the
    length of the content in the column, but no further */
    padding: 15px 0; /* top and bottom padding create visual
    space within
    this div */
    You cant really make your header img grow/reduce in size as
    the page is
    enlarged or narrowed because it would distort. What you need
    to do is
    find a place to slice it into sections wherebay you can have
    part of it
    as a repeating background image i.e., the left and right side
    of the
    image remains on the left and right but the bit in the middle
    repeats
    itself as the browser window is widened and narrowed.
    This needs to be taken into account when designing a liquid
    page.

  • "Test Movie" Window Size Too Small

    I have a very small Flash document (80x10 pixels). When I
    select "Test Movie" the window that pops-up to test my application
    is so small that I have to constantly resize the window to see the
    content. This didn't happen in Flash MX prior and if I change the
    document size to something considerably larger the entire window
    shows properly.

    Thanks for the info. I was hoping that there was a setting
    somewhere that allowed the window to be at least large enough to
    allow the top menu information to fit on one line, thus allowing my
    movie to show (at all, without resizing). I was unclear about the
    window resizing bit, you're right about not having the window size
    being the size of the last resize; my comment should have been
    "when resized, the movie shows properly." In Flash MX, it appeared
    that there *was* a minimum window size.

    Most pages are defined to be a certain size, regardless of how large or small your monitor is. You can use Firefox's zoom feature (View menu) to enlarge the text and images (or just the text, if you prefer) on a page.
    In addition to making individual site adjustments, there are some add-ons that will default every site to a higher zoom level. For example, check out:

  • Windows 7 desktop does not fill entire screen on macbook pro 17" (mid 2010)

    Hi,
    First of all I apologize for posting such a long question but in order to best describe the problem I am having with my MacBook Pro, I had to mention every detail.
    I recently installed windows 7 x64 home premium on my new macbook pro 17 inch (mid 2010). After successfully installing the bootcamp drivers (version 3.1) I have noticed that my screen resolution has become slightly smaller than before. There are half an inch thick black bars on the right side as well as on the top of the screen.
    This problem is not limited to windows, I'm having the same problem in mac osx after the windows 7 installation. Even on the start up gray screen.
    I have tried almost every trick in the book, adjusting the screen resolution from the display settings menu (which by the way are on 1920x1080), checking all the settings on the nvidia control panel, resetting the SMC, resetting the VRAM, running the hardware diagnostic test (short as well as the long one), formatting the windows partition, formatting the Mac OSX partition then performing a fresh install of both. So far, I have been frustrated with failure.
    After trying my best to resolve this issue on my own, I tried my luck with apple support. The customer representative was very helpful and listened carefully as I explained the problem to him. He asked me first to check for any available updates on my mac osx as well as in win 7. I told him that I had already installed every available update in both the OS's. He then asked me to reset the SMC and after that to reset the VRAM. Even though I had already tried this, I still gave it another shot but that didn't help.
    Since my MBP was still under the standard warranty, (I have also purchased the Apple Care Protection Plan) he asked me to take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. I took his advice and went to the nearest AASP. The Apple Engineer over there performed the same steps, adjusting screen resolution, resetting SMC and VRAM, but even he was not able to resolve this problem. He suggested that I should get my graphics cars replaced or if required upon inspection, the logic board replaced. To be very honest, I was very skeptical about his suggestion as the laptop is brand new, hardly 2 months old. How is it possible that there could be a problem with the hardware? I asked him whether it is possible to restore the firmware of the graphics card as the problem could be software related. He said that Apple have not started issuing firmware restoration CD's for the latest mid 2010 MBP's so a firmware restore won't be possible. My best bet would be to get the graphics card replaced or the whole logic board replaced.
    So you see, I have been down almost every possible road which could have lead to resolving this issue but unfortunately I am stuck with it. I hope any of you could offer a different approach in order to get rid of this annoying problem.
    Any help would be highly appreciated. (Trust ME!!!)

    UPDATE: I just came back after a visit to the apple service provider here in New Delhi. They have replaced the logic board on my macbook pro and guess what? the situation is still the same. No difference what so ever as far as the screen resolution is concerned. I can still see those black bars in the exact same places i.e. the right hand side as well as on the top of the screen. Even the size of the black bars are still the same.
    I am so upset right now. After trying my best in order to solve this problem I went to the AASP with high hopes. I was very confident that after replacing the logic board this annoying problem would go away but unfortunately that's not the case. Even the Apple Engineer was clueless on how to solve this problem.
    I think I'll call apple care and speak to the customer relations regarding a replacement.
    If any of you can come up with a solution to this problem please let me know.
    I'm all ears!!!

  • Screen does not fill up whole monitor, windows 7 on mac mini

    Hi guys,
    I just installed Windows 7 (32bit) on the new mac Mini (Lion OS) via Bootcamp 4.0. I installed the windows driver after the Windows 7 registration.
    When Windowsd 7 starts, I can see that the screen does not fill out the whole 22" monitor, leaving a half-inch black frame.
    The monitor is a LG IPS225 connected with HDMI to my mac Mini. Booting in mac OS Lion gives me a nice fully stretched screen.
    If I understood it correctly, the graphic card (AMD HD 6750M) is somehow "underscanning" the monitor. Downloading the graphic card application from AMD (Catalyst mobility) does not help, as I get an error message saying that it's wrong adapter.
    I have installed all the Windows 7 updates and Apple software updates, well running the update programs says that my computer is up to date...
    Anyone got the same problem? or have an idea I can try?

    If in device manager, your monitor is defaulting to Plug and Play, you should update with LG driver files for that monitor. My LG Flatron W2753V came with a CD that included the Monitor Driver (.icm, .cat and .inf files).
    If Plug and Play, right click monitor in Device Manager, selecting Update driver software, pointing it to where you have the Monitor Driver files - see pic.
    If you don't have driver, you can search for it, get it from here at LG,
