ctrl-f - apply last filter - can this code be easily formulated into an action or a script (analogous to a screen-grab perhaps?)
You can use Insert Menu Item to record the Last Filter command if you do it before using any filters in photoshop.

In CS6 I create a simple rectangle and increase the roundness of the rectangle. I then select the shape and choose edit > copy HTML code and I open Dreamweaver CS6 and paste the code into the code window. I thought it was supposed to write code to replicate the shape I created in FW, though instead it is just referencing a graphic of the shape I made in FW that was exported. What did I do wrong?

Make sure it's selected
Open the CSS propreties panel
Click the Copy All button
Go to Dreamweaver
Create a Div and apply a class to the div
Create a CSS class and within the rule, press Ctrl or Command + V to paste the CSS properties from Fireworks.
Refresh the page (and switch to Live View) and you should see the rectangle, with all the supported visual properties, displayed using CSS.

Hey. I have received an iTunes gift card, so I was all excited, punching the code into the "redeem" option on iTunes on my iPad2; however, I kept on getting the alert, "This is not recognised as a valid code". It is very legible, though. How come?
The obvious answer I think is that maybe you are not entering the letters and numbers correctly. I almost never get it right the first time when I use a gift card.
Try entering the code again - slowly and methodically. If it still doesn't work - look here for help.

One final thought - if you are using a gift card that was purchased in another country - say like you have a Canada gift card and you live in the U.S. - that card will not work in the U.S. iTunes store. -

If you are talking about the serial number, as far as I know serial numbers are entirely numeric so there is no need to enter letters. Maybe you are using the incorrect code.

No -- iPhoto does not ever touch an photo file that is not within its database
THis is one (of the minior) resaons that it is very strongly advised not to uncheck the preference to copy imported items to the iPhoto library - it makes importing and deleting more difficult and makes upgrading or replacing defective hardware much, much more difficult

I apologize if this is already in the forum somewhere, I simply could not find this question being asked anywhere. We have an iMac running Lion with all of the latest updates as well as the latest version of iTunes. All of the digital movies we've purchased through iTunes, have been purchased through my iTunes account. However, my wife is the one with the iPad, and syncs it with her own iTunes library and her own Apple ID. I have turned on Homesharing for my library, and she can see my library from within her iTunes account. We turned on the feature to automatically copy new movies into her library so that she could sync those movies onto her iPad. However, I quickly discovered that it is literally storing a second copy of the movie file in her iTunes folder, and therefore eating up precious hard drive space. Is there a way for her to "check" movies in my homeshare library from within iTunes to sync with her iPad when she connects it, without actually copying those movies into her iTunes folder? If not, any suggestions on how we can solve this issue?
What you're describing is the expected behaviour. I believe though that is also is the easiest way to have all the contents available to both of you at all times. If you have a spacious hard drive you should probably allow this to happen as anything else will be harder to manage.
My suggestion would be the following if you want to try something different.
Store all your music at a location that is accessible by both of you — an example would be to use your Public Folder as the locations where iTunes will go and look for all the media files—. Your wife does have access to it.
In the Finder you will need to move the folder name iTunes Music to the location in your Public Folder (see above). Once that's done, you and your wife will have to go into the iTunes Preferences > Advance Preferences and un-check Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library. From this point on, you can continue to use iTunes as usual. You'll need to tell your wife what has been newly downloaded/imported into your iTunes so she can manually go look for those items in that Public Folder iTunes of yours and import them into her iTunes. She will not duplicate by doing that, but, like I say this is an all-manual work.
She can do the same, so you have access to contents she imported herself. One more downside of this is that both usernames have to be active in your iMac. If yours isn't, she won't be able to access any item (song, book, app) located in your Public Folder's iTunes.
I'm sure there's a way, if you have an router with external hard drive conectivity, for both of you to be able to access —independently— the iTunes Media at all times but I was just reading at another post that doing so can further complicate things.

When I select one of the advertised links in a google search, the tab flashes and looks likes it's loading but nothing happens. If I copy/paste the link into the address bar it works OK. It also works correctly using IE.Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I have tried all I can to load iTunes cards into my iPad without success. Upon giving one of the cards to a friend he conveniently loaded. Why does Encore copy the file into Cache?
It seems that Encore will copy the m2v file into ProjectDir/Cache\Media Cache Files\mlf.cache.MACC
The file is rather large, nearly 4 GB (2gb for each ac3 file).
I used to run the previous version and I don't think it makes copy in Cache.
Why does Encore do that?
Any way to make Encore just use the m2v file directly without copying it into Cache?

Very annoying becuz the program itself is very useful, probably the best dvd menu making system ever but I was tryin to set up an audio dvd wit my own design, prepared sound files like converted them all to ac3 format but every time it is the same, despite deleting cache, the program recreates and doubles these unknown file types of large size taking up irrationally large space. A normal dvd size of 4.7 gbytes to set up would in this case require 50 gbytes or more as I have calculated. More than ten times larger than one dvd. Ridiculous.
If there's no need for transcode by file format ac3, then why should they time after time be stored in cache mostly taking up double space ? It should be working as cd or dvd write where you're offered two options, either creating an image file on hard disk or on the fly which doesn't take any space of the disk and is more direct.
So what should I do now ? Look for another program or surrender this one and let it eat up more than 50 gigas ?
Awful situation is I don't have time to look after programs.
But I ain't got this amount of disk space either.
My project must be ready in a few days but no hope for that like this.

It will not easy to add actions to an OOTB ribbon button, there is a workaround that we can replace it with a custom button.

IPod Shuffle 2nd Gen. Doesn't copy the music into it
Hi, I used a different power source to charge my iPod then it doesn't copy the musics in it. but it turns on well and can be connected and detected in iTunes but it does not let me to copy the music and asks me for erase and sync but it frequently happens. Let me know if there is any electricity damage or something and how it can be solved. Thank you
I would try doing a Restore on the shuffle using iTunes. If this is a 2nd gen shuffle, when connected to iTunes, it should have a Settings screen. The button for doing a Restore in on tha screen.
The Restore will erase the shuffle, reinstall its software, and set it to default settings. It's possible that the shuffle's storage disk has data corruption. If there are no physical hardware problems, the Restore should get rid of the data corruption and give the shuffle a fresh start.
If you are using an Apple (or compatible) power adapter to charge it, that should not cause damage. -

Correct, it will only be one-level, the Photos app doesn't support sub-albums - the sub-folders photos will be included in the parent's album.
If you select My Pictures at the top of the Photos tab when syncing, then you should get an album for each folder that is directly under it - so if I understand correctly what you described then that would mean an album for 2013, one for 2012 etc. And each of those should include all the photos in the subfolders under it - so 2013 would include the photos from the events and months subfolders under it.
You can't sync them separately, only the contents of the last sync remains on the iPad, by not including a folder in the next photo sync you are effectively telling iTunes that you no longer want that folder/album on the iPad so it will be removed and be replaced by the contents of the new sync (you can't delete synced photos directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next sync).
The app that I use, Photo Manager Pro, allows you to select and copy a folder (via FTP), but you would need to select each subfolder individually, which if you have a lot would be time-consuming (I think that if you select '2013' it would ignore the folders beneath it).
