CTS+ configuration for CRM Java stack

Hi gurus,
I want to implement CTS+ configuration for java stack of CRM system.
Please any one help me on this is there specific setting for that.
In the process of configuration it is asking for SDM password.
So I am confused that wh which SDM Password will be supplied SOLMAN or CRM SDM password.
Please help urgently.

CTS+ Configuration for Transporting non-ABAP objects in Portal Landscape using solution manage 7.1 sp8

Hi,
Currently we have cts+ already configured for our portal systems in our landscape through solution manager 7.0.
Recently we had setup a new solution manager 7.1 and need to perform cts+ configuration using this new solution manager 7.1 as we are planning to remove our old solution manager 7.0 very soon.
We are using NWDI system for transporting our portal transports.
Please help me with steps on how to configure cts+ using solution manager 7.1 using NWDI.

Crm java stack

We are running CRM 2007 and this is a dual stack. I wanted to know what pieces of CRM use the java stack ?
When we traced our transactions they all goto the abap stack. We havent seen any of it using the java stack.
This we see from http watch / e2e trace analysis.
Is it then safe to shut down the java stack ? (for memory and cpu) ?
How to check if the java stack is being used ?

then navigate (in the left pane) to "SAP Business Suite App">"SAP CRM">your crm version
Then choose Plan or Install, in both nodes there is very useful information regarding installtion and prerequisites for the different scenarios.
In the guide itself you'll find useful links to notes for more detailed information.

Configurations for CRM 5.0 mobile

Hi All
I am trying to install & configure the CRM 5.0 mobile sales.
I have already installed the necessary components like Mob Repository Server, Comm Station and Mobile Client(on a laptop).
I have done necessary configurations in MRS & Comm. Station.
However I am not able to get any document which talks about the configuration activities required on mobile client. Typically I am unaware of any middleware settings required for initial load, sites, replication objects etc.
Is there any comprehensive guide / note which talks about it for CRM 5.0 mobile?

System Configuration for CRM Business Package 4.0-60.2 in Portal

Hi All,
We have configured CRM Business Package(4.0-60.2) on EP6 SP11.
Also created the SAP_CRM system with required fields.
But I am confused with where do I have to specify the ISA related parameters?
Should I create new systems with the aliases specified in CRM Business Package Admin guide(i.e.according to Web Entry Point names)For e.g. ISA_B2B,ISA_B2R,SHOP_ADMIN,USER_ADMIN etc. or I have to specify this in SAP_CRM system itself?

I am looking Change & Release Management control using SAP solman for BOBJ object .

But still not more clear about the BOBJ configuration in CHaRM.

CTS+ configuration for NWDI - Development configuration error

Hi All,
I really need some help on this. we are configuring CTS+ on Solution Manager system for NWDI, EP landscape (EPD, EPQ,EPP) and SLD system.
we made EPD as development system and trying to use CM Services to configure the NWDI scenario SDA/SDC Deployment.
I have created all NON-ABAP systems and created the CTSDEPLOY Http connections. I am getting the popup to configure the Development Configuration,"What is the User I have to use here and of which system?" and what are the authorizations required to configure this.
As soon as the popup comes, It is asking for the user ID and Password. I am entering Solution Manager (Admin user with all CMS actions also assigned) user then it is giving the following error on the screen. " Could not connect to SLD; contact your System Administrator: User SAPNWDI is not allowed to do this function "
I have give the SLD url correctly, and the admin user for SLD and Password. I have cross checked the user for password, every thing is fine.

Pls answer me for below.
specified SLQ as my SLD
1.
You said SLQ is you SLD, but You configuring CTS on solution manager. but solution manager has its own SLD.
a. SMG solution manager SLD
b. SLQ is also SLD
If there is two sld then you should get error
" Could not connect to SLD; contact your System Administrator: User SAPNWDI is not allowed to do this function "
This is becuase you are giving the user which is present in SLQ SLD but CTS is checking the Solution manager SLD.
For CTS you should have centralied SLD.

Can you tell me one more thing, in CTSDEPLOY do I need to give the SMG host and port number or EPD's host and Port number?
You have to specify the host and port in CTSDEPLOY of the system on which CTS contoller should work i.e EPD or SMG.
To resolve your all this problem first of all make the SLD as central . i.e Make solution manager ( CLQ ) as SLD or SLD system in you landscape ( SLQ ) as SLD.
don't keep two different SLD . If you keep Solman as its own SLD then CTS will search component from SMG SLD

Can you tell us in which system this SAPNWDI user is present
Check the SLD of of system in which SAPNWDI user i present
system is whether in SMG SLD or SLQ SLD

I am planning to configure Adobe on my WAS Java(J2EE) Engine. But my Webdynpro Java Application reads data from SAP R/3.Please suggest me, is it possible to install and configure only on WAS Java Engine?

Here you can find the files for SP14 J2EE:

-> this needs to be deployed first in offilne mode
ADSSAP14_0-20000262.sca
-> this needs to be deployed second in online mode.
Please always update also the ADS together with the J2EE engine.

The way global variables could be created using java classes is by using static variables.The class variable values are stored in the JVM's memory
In Oracle8i Each session gets its own JVM & hence you cannot have a Java class variable which could
span across sessions.

XI System backup and restore for the JAVA Stack

I am few queries regarding backup of XI System.
1- What is the procedure to backup the XI System on AIX OS?
2- Should I backup the J2EE Engine also with Jload and Java migration toolkit, when I backup the XI System?
3- If XI system crashes, what is the procedure to restore XI system from backup?
4- Do I have to restore the J2EE Engine also from backup with XI with the help of Jload and Java migration toolkit. If so, what is the procedure on AIX OS?
5- If I take a backup of XI system, after 3 days the server crashes. When I restore the backup, how should I recover the lost messages of 3 days?

I am on AIX OS. How can I backup the registry in AIX? Also how should I zip all the files and extract those compressed files during restore. Is there any SAP utility to do that. Kindly let me know.

Configuration for a java app running on Harpertown.

I have a multi-threaded java app with 5-8 user threads. I'm running my application on intel Harpertown m/c with 8 cores.
Is there a way I could configure my JVM such that I can I can allocate each core to each thread or atleast maximize such a possibility?
