CTS+ to transport OMA files in CLM

Hi Experts,
I am looking for processs for change management in CLM to transport changes to other environment like Development and Production.
Can we use CTS+ to transport OMA file for CLM?
Is there any tools to transport the change for CLM?
Thank you in advance,
Noppong Jinbunluphol

Hi Noppong,
Sourcing is not natively integrated with CTS, so it can't be used for transporting changes between Sourcing landscapes. I have seen customers use sharepoint or similar tools as a place to manage the OMAs. So the process would be, oma is created using export functionality on the source system, the created oma (with a naming format such as appending the ticket #, etc) is uploaded to Sharepoint for approvals. Once the transport approvals are completed, person with appropriate import access downloads the file from Sharepoint and imports it into the destination system.
It will be good to understand if there are other better ways this has been managed.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Vikram

  • Transport of files with CTS+

    Hello
We want to use CTS+ to transport files from a file system to another.
SAP explains that you can transport anykind of files between two systems, if the deployment of these files can be done manually, which is our case.
We did not find any document explaining how to configure CTS+ to perform transports of this kind.
    Does somebody have any reference?
    Thanks,
    Jon

  • What is the transport protocol File (Axis) in the SOAP Adapter

    Hi,
for a SOAP Receiver Adapter it's possible to choose 'File (Axis)' as transport protocol.
How does it work and is there some documentation about it?
    Thanks and regards
    Patrick

    Hi,
    thanks for your answers.
    @Prateek
Yes I tried -> Doesn't say so much
    @Vinod
The first thread didn't helped me and I have seen already the second one.
    @kummari
The question is how can I use it?
    @Gabriel
    >The adapter uses transport protocol(File (Axis)) to send SOAP messages as text file
Could you please explain it a little more detailed (maybe with an example)?
My question is about in which scenarios it makes sense to use this transport protocol and how is it used?
    Thanks and regards

  • Is there a way to see the details of transport request files

    hello friends
for some reason when I try to create a package with objects like function group and function modules, I am not able to import the function modules on the other server.
So i would like to see if the transport request files that I have created (K900226.EC1 and R900226.EC1) has these modules included in them.
Is there a way that I can see what objects are included in the released transport request files.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ram

    Hi Ram,
You can see the objects included in a transport request by going to se09 and opening your transport request and drill down to the task and below the task you would have all the objects that are included in the tranport. You can also use se03 to get the details by drilling down the tansport request.
The problem with importing the function module might be because either the function module or the function group may not be active which may cause the tranport to fail. please check if both are active or not.

  • How to install transport request files into the SAP system

    Hi Experts,
I want to install transport request files into my SAP source and target system . I am from BW/BI background so can anyone help me out with the step by step procedure for the above installation.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Shiva

    Hi,
What I understand is, you want to transport request from one server to another.
for example, Development to Qualtiy or Quality to Production.
For this your transport system must be configured. Please search help.sap.com or google for "How to configure Transport System (STMS)".
If you want to copy transport request from one system to another system which is not in your landscape, you need to physically move/copy transport request (cofile and datafile) to the target system in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data
Then import that request using SCC1.
You can alos perform TEST import for result.

  • Transporting iweb files between computers

    Hi!
Does anybody know how to transport iweb files between computers? If I have a site that I want to put on another computer without deleting the sites on that computer. What do I do? I have discovered that i can make many copies the Domain file that I have found in the Library/Applications Support/iWeb folder. Is this the only way?
    Thanks!
    /Chris

All you need to do is copy the Domain.sites2 file that's in your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the same folder on the other computer.
If you plan to manage the site from both computers then this MacWorld article will be of interest: Managing an iWeb site from multiple Macs.

  • Transport by file

    Transport by file
Basic idea i got from all experts is that first i need to export the individual object ex a mapping object to a file in default path.
ex sapmnt/dev/export/mapping.targz .Then if i need to move to prd i will ask basis to copy the mapping.tar file to
sapmnt/prd/import folder. As soon as they do that,my next step should be to open java stack on browser window.
Goto Integration Repository and use Import design object.Select that file and press 'Ok'.
This is my perception ie the way i will be able to transport object to PRD.Is it correct or still on PRD,i need to activate the same
object or any other step is missing.

  • Difference between CTS and Transport request

    Hi,
i need to know what is the Difference between CTS and Transport request.
    kindly expecting replies

    CTS (Change & Transport System)
The CTS is a tool that helps you to organize development projects in the ABAP workbench & in customizing and then transport the changes between the SAP Systems & clients in your system landscape.
This docuentation provides you with an overviewof how to manage changes with the CTS & essential information on setting up your system & client lanscape & deciding on a transport strategy. Read & follow the documentation when planning ur development project.
For practical information on working with the Change & Transport system, see Change & transport Organizer & Transport Management System.
    Transport Request
Transport Request is a Request number where the developments are given logical storage number which in turn help in transporting the developments to one system / server to other server.
T.Code SE09 & SE10 are used to Transport the request..
    Click the Display button.
The list of Workbench ( Workbench request )Customizing ( Customizing request) are shown.

  • CTS+ Close coupling for transporting epa files

    Hi all,
Is this possible? We have set up CTS+ in our landscape. The domain controller is an ECC 6.0 dual stack system. We would like to be able to create transport package in the portal and automatically assign it to a newly transport request.
We now have problems stating " No valid transport request found; consult your system administrator". We have also had some issues saying that the epa file does not exist, but it is definitely there.
    Ant ideas?
    Best regards,
    Jan Laros
Note: I have read the several blogs and how to guides concerning CTS+ and the configuration already.

    Defaulttrace states the following:

  • Transport war-file to another server

    Hi,
I'm facing a serious problem. I have created a JSP Application with different reports on one machine. One of the reports uses a calculation that was created in JDeveloper. After deploying everything I transport the war-File to another machine which has an oracle instance with the same name, the same users and same AW's. All JSP-pages work fine except the one with the calculation. It says 'No data'. What do I have to do to make it work? I don't want to create the whole JSP-application totally new on the new machine!
The object_id in the calculation-xml seems to be referenced in the report-xml file. There it begins with 'PSR!'. What does that mean? Is it saved in the RDBMS and could not be found on the new machine?
    Any help appreciated,
    thanks,
    Lars

    Hi again,
I did some tracing for the query. I don't understand much from the trace file, but there is one line which says: '*** ERROR: memory leak detected 316 ***'. I can't find anything concerning this memory leak. Does anyone have an idea what the reason is?
What I also would like to know is, how a calculation, which is created in JDeveloper, is saved. Only as XML or are there also Metadata concerning the calculation stored in the database?
    Thanks,
    Lars

  • How to transport particular files from "workcatalog" to "archivecatalog"

I only want to bring some paticular folders from a workcatalog into an archive catalog so this could look like :
    workcatalog
    folder a
subfolder with original files an catalog info
    subfolder with exported jpegs
    subfolder .......
    folder b
    sub b
    sub b
    sub b
once I finished a particular job I want to bring all the information from folder a (for example)  into an archive catalog. So  I don't want to bring the entire workcatalog into the archivecatalog
1 How do I transport only catalog info from folder a with the original files to my archive
2 Other subfolders like exported files and other information : I presume i just can bring them from one location to the other without any influence at the catalogs .....is that correct
    thanks in advance
    kast

thank you but some things don't turn out right.
ok i want to transport subfolder nef file a containing the raw and XMP files
after I imported the file in the archive catalog it looks like this
ok I imported the 5 files but the folder name is gone
and when i look at the physical place where I want to store my 'nef file a' folder , I find a lot of things that I don't need/want
    archive folder
           file a
                   foldername of the higher folder
                            file a
                                  nef file a
                   file a previews.irdata
                   file a lrcat file
Obviously I do something wrong but I cannot find out what ????
