CTXSYS Schema migration during OATM

We are converting to OATM as part of our upgrade from 11.5.9CU2 to R12.1.1.
When I run the OATM migration utility I see only two options when I choose migration commands option(4)
PLEASE TAKE A COMPLETE BACKUP OF THE DATABASE BEFORE MIGRATION
1. Migrate all Schemas
2. Migrate a list of Schemas
[Q]uit ack [N]ext
I Don't see the option Migrate CTXSYS Schema. We are on 10.2.0.4 db version. Is this option not available for 11.5.9? Please confirm?

Hi All,
We are on 11.5.10.2. and Db with 10.2.0.4
Can you please advice on the possibilities and any changes in the steps for OATM migration for a Database in ASM.
Oracle standard documents have steps for Non ASM database.
We are yet to migrate to ASM, we are working on the possibilities of which one can be done first.
Migration from Non ASM to ASM and then Migration to OATM ( or ) Migration to OATM and then Migration from Non ASM to ASM
Please advice on the best possible approach

Have raised an SR to get the oracle support responce on having OATM migration in a ASM database.
Have another query....
Current tablespaces have the segment_space_management as Manual, we are planning to change this to Auto during the OATM migration except for some 4 to 5 Modules where the segments are huge and lots of transaction will be going on for those ( Heavily used modules ).
Those schemas alone we are planning to have uniform extent in seperate tablespaces.
Verified the oracle system administrator guide for this and it has mentioned about changing the complete APPS_TS_TX_DATA to APPS_TS_TX_DATA_1MB. But we want to have the 200+ oracle registered schema in APPS_TS_TX_DATA ( segment management auto ) and 5 oracle registered schema in a another set of tablespaces ( Segment management uniform )
I guess recommended segment space management is Uniform, as i have mentioned earlier there are many tables/indexes which are huge 100G plus, currently the next extent of these objects are 10M plus. So while migrating to OATM we should have these in 10M+ uniform extent to avoid performance issue or we can have in 1 M uniform extent.
Can you please advice on how can we achieve this and is there any draw back in this.

CTXSYS Schema Installation Problem

I made a fresh database installation of Oracle 10g. Now I do not see the CTXSYS Scheme, nor do I see the CTXSYS User and CTXAPP role.
Please advise how to install the schema? Is their any script available that I can run to create the related database objects?

Migrating to OATM

Hi,
if anyone has experience on this.
after migrating all schemas we launche "Run migration progress report" to see it. Since 3 hours it is fixed on 98.25%
Should we wait until 100% ?
How to verify if it is going on ?

Error during OIM schema upgrade during product ugprade from 9.1.0.2 to 11g

We have received following error during product upgrade from 9.1.0.2 to 11g.
Error occurred during fourth step ( Task 4: Use Upgrade Assistant to Upgrade the Oracle Identity Manager Schema)

We are also trying to upgrade OIM 9.1.0.2 which is present in our environment to OIM11g. Request your help.
Now how do we achieve the upgrade? Should my source of OIM9i software and target of OIM 11g software be installed on the same server?
I did install OIM11g and OIM9i on the same server and tried to do schema upgrade based on the link:

But during examine phase I get error the below error

UPGAST 01004- UPGRADE IS UNABLE TO DYNAMICALLY LOAD COMPONENET SPECIFIC SOFTWARE MODULES.
When i check in the log in internet it says :
Cause: Repository upgrade framework was unable to dynamically load the Java classes of its component-specific software modules. mrua.xml file might have been corrupted.
Action: This is an internal error. Verify that the Java classpath has been correctly set, the mrua.xml file is correct, and that the .jar files for all component-specific software modules are present in the jlib directory. Contact Oracle Support Services for assistance
What is the javaclasspath to be set?how to check if mrua.xml and jar files are fine

Error while loggin into EPMA after schema migration - 9.3.1.3 to11.1.1.3.02

Hello Everyone,
We are migrating 9.3.1.3 EPMA DB schema (having planning/hfm applications) to 11.1.1.3 EPMA. Applied the required patch - "p9535372" to target server "11.1.1.3" so now target server is 11.1.1.3.02. After patch apply, we migrate the EPMA DB Schema and execute the upgrade through Configurater. Everything goes fine and able to login into shared services and workspace but system throws an error while loging into EPMA.
Error Message -
1) loading the module 'awb.appcontainer" failed
2) Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Raised the SR - 3-4112905501 and BUG16- Bug 12808646 with oracle support/product team, meanwhile any suggestion/advice will be of Gr8 help
We have followed the other meta-link docs in reference to this issue, but not able to resolve the issue

1. Backup the relational tables of the application in 9.3.1
2. Backup essbase objects (rul, otl ,csc, rep)
3. Install EPMA 11.1.2.2 in a new server, including a new sql server instance.
4. Shared Services provisioning use CSSImportExport utility to export from the 9.3.1 env and then transform to LCM format to import, or you can look at the HSSMigrate utility which is available with 11.1.2.2 (JohnGoodwin)
5. Create a new application same name of database and connection and apply a “create” --->“Create a fresh planning application on version 11 make sure the admin is the same name as your old 9.3 planning app: “If the admin of your 9.3 planning application a native user and not the default hyperion system admin (account=admin) then; Go into the database tables for the planning app and look at table HSP_USERS, store the SID value against user 50001" JohnGoodwin:

6. Stop application, shutdown services.
7. Restore all relational tables of the 9.3.1 application (step 1) in to the ne application (step 5.)
8. Start services, apply a create in the application.
9. Copy objects (step 2) except otl.
10. Export data from 9.3.1 and import data to 11.1.2.2 application.

WLS 11 Policy migration during EAR deployment

We are installing an ADF 11g EAR into our development instance of WLS 10.3.1 and are seeing some strange behavior with the ADF policy migration. During the EAR install from either the WLS console, or using WLST scripts, the ear deployment appears to create entries in our domains system-jazn-data.xml file in the .../config/fmwconfig directory. The policies work fine when testing the application. Users in the various application roles see expected security behavior. If we then start and stop a completely different managed server from the console, the entries that were in the system-jazn-data.xml file disappear, but the our application security continues to work as expected. If we then bounce the server our ear is deployed to, the entries show up again in system-jazn-data.xml.
Can anyone explain this behavior and verify if this is expected?
Additional Information: We have followed the enterprise deployment guide when setting up our middleware home directory. We have the following directory structure:
/opt/oracle/admin/snidomain/aserver
/opt/oracle/admin/snidomain/mserver
The aserver directory contains the admin server and the mserver directory contains our managed servers. Each directory contains a config/fmwconfig subdirectory each containing a system-jazn-data.xml file. Each also contains a jps-config.xml file that specifies an XML policy provider pointing at "./system-jazn-data.xml". When we install an EAR that utilizes ADF security, the system-jazn-data.xml file in the mserver directory is updated during deployment, but the one in the aserver directory is not. Each recycle of a managed server appears to replace the contents of the system-jazn-data.xml file in the mserver directory.
Also, when I bring up Fusion Middleware Control and view the roles/policies of the ear, none are displayed in the UI. If I add a role/policy using Fusion Middleware Control, the new role/policy is placed in the system-jazn-data.xml file in the aserver directory, and the contents of the one in the mserver directory is completely replaced with the same contents as the one in the asever directory, overwriting the ones added during the deployment.

Deleting files migrated during initial setup??

Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone could help me out on this so please bear with me. I recently purchased a new 15", 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 500GB MBP and during the computer's initial set up, I was asked if I wanted to migrate all my files from a different computer. I have a PC and want to transfer all files to my MBP and decided to do so. Again, this was during the initial set up of the MBP. The problem I encountered during the whole migration process was the excruciating duration of time it was taking to do so. After reading several posts on here, I decided to bite the bullet and stop the process, delete the already transferred files on the MBP and start over again this time plugging both computers via ethernet instead of just one. My question is, where do I find these files that were already transferred and how do I delete them? All other posts on this support forum provide directions to delete the files via deletion of the user account. However, it appears this method will only work if I used the Migration Assistant after the initial set up of the MBP. Please advise?? Thanks much!

In order to solve this issue , first of all you need to make sure that the version of your ABAP and JAVA stack are in your system as per this note 1274287 : End-to-End Diagnostics SP18(EHP1)- SP19 - SP20
Also the central note as per your ABAP stack version is implimented
     1172948 SAP Solution Manager - Basic functions (SP18/19)
     1334252 SAP Solution Manager - Basic functions (SP20/21)
     1405878 SAP Solution Manager - Basic functions (SP22)
And make sure the Notes 1319829 is fully implimented in your system.

Schema migration in oracle

Guys need help/suggestions.
I need to migrate the whole schema(from oracle) to another oracle database environment. The easiest way I would think of is execute the ddl scripts for the objects. But that way it is going to take too much time and also I have to take care of order of executing scripts for tables, mat views, constraints, triggers etc.
Will anybody provide me any link that will guide me through easy way to migrate my objects to the different database or if it is possible - please provide me with the stepwise information. I use SQL developer, don't know if this third party tool has any features to do migration thing.

SamYou need DDL or whole data? Well in both cases you can use DATAPUMP which is available from 10g onwards.

Stop vm migration during upgrade procedure

i'm using VUM to upgrade ESX 5.0 to 5.5 u2, during remediate process, it wanted to migrate a vm, but now it take about 12 hours to do this and i don't be able to cancel it. even i can't connect via VMRC(MKS Communication error)
any idea?

I'd do the following:
- free up one OVS by migrating all guests to the remaining OVS
- upgrade OVM Manager straigh to 3.2.8
- upgrade the idle OVS to 3.2.8
- live migrate your guests from one 3.1.1 OVS to the new, idle 3.2.8 OVS - if not using OVMM, then using xm
- round robin upgrade your remaining OVS
I've done that a couple of times…

Is CTXSYS schema password in OID

Im looking for the CTXSYS database 9.0.4 schema password. The OID (app server 10g) seems to hold quite a few passwords for the app server but I cant find CTXSYS. Is it there somewhere in the tree?

I can't found there. For the password try:
ctsys, change_on_install or just set a new password.
Usually this account is locked.
You can
alter user ctxsys account unlock;

User Schema Migration.

I want to migrate a user’s complete schema with data from one database instance of Oracle 10g to another database instance to Oracle10g on a different machine in same network.
Data is not huge so performance is not an issue.

imp and exp are the classic import and export. I am referring to impdp and expdp - the new datapump export and import utilities.
Why would you want to use anything else? It does exactly what you want very quickly.
