CUA Implementation - Resetting of passowrds not affected in Child Systems

Hi all,
I have implemented CUA in SOLMAN.
We are having 6 child systems, when i try to change the passowrd in SU01(in SOLMAN) and select all the systems, its getting affected only to SOLMAN and one more system.
Rest 4 of the systems are not getting affected....In SCUL it didnt pop up any errors...i m unable to find the reason..
Could you please guide me to find the error..
Thanks,
Subbu

Hi Tom,
In WE02 i see some information in Outbound IDocs and everything is GREEN...But in Inbound IDocs i didnt see any information..'
But whne i change the password in central system, its not getting affected...
In SCUL transaction, everything is GREEN...didnt receive any errors...
IN SCUM transaction i tried keeping initial Password parameter as Global, Local and Evrywhr but it didnt solve my problem...
Any idea what is wrong??

  • Users created in CUA does not distribute to child systems

    Hi
I searched this forum and after pulling my hair for 2 days I am asking this question. I created a user in CUA and gave him child system access with the necessary roles.
I was under the impression that the user will get replicated / distributed automaticlaly to the child systems which i selected at the time of user creation in CUA
But it does not happen. I login the child system and search for the user. It says User does not exist. I saw SCUL in CUA and the log shows a grey icon next to the username and when I place my cursor on the icon, the tect comes " Distribution unconfirmed"
What am I missing? Everything looks ok to me
Why is the user or users not geting replicated or distributed to the child systems with the necessary roles / profiles?

    Hi,
that is an indication, that the RFC-connection is not defined properly. As soon it does not work, you will get the login screen (on the login screen the default client (503) is filled automatically, but that has nothing to do with the problem you have).
First check the password of the RFC-user you use. Simply change this user to type 'dialog' and try to log on with the password you know. If that works, reenter this password in SM59. Perform the authorization test in SM59 afterwards. Mind possible upper/lowercase problems with the password depending on the releases your systems are.
You can also try to perform a remote login through sm59 to make sure, tath you can log on with that RFC-user (as long he is of type dailog this will work). If the rfc-user gets locked frequently, then something is wrong with the rfc configuration. In most cases the entered password is simply wrong.
    Check this first!

  • CUA-User does not exist in Child system

    Hi All,

I did Text comparison also, status is okay.

    Hi,
Could you just login to the child system and view the userid created through su01?
    1. In case you are unable to do the same, there is certainly a problem  with idoc distribution for which you can find the reasons in SCUL.
    2. In case the userid exists in child syatem, you need to check if address data for the userid is being maintained in child system or not.
In case you get an error message " Address data not maintained"  while viewing the userid through su01 in the child system, then you need to execute report RSADRCK2 in the child system.
You may refer to the following link in this case:

  • How to ensure that an accrual (FBS1) that was cleared and reversed/reset (FBRA) does not affect the books while being in open items (FAGLB03)?

At first the user created an accrual using FBS1 for reversal on 5/1/2015.
    This created a clearing document.
Then it was mistakenly reversed by the user for 5/1/2015 by using F.81
This also created a clearing document.
Based on advice in the following thread: Delete reverse accrual/defferal documents | SCN ,
the user used FBRA to reset and reverse the document. We are unsure if the reset and reverse command was used or just the reset choice.
Now the accrual value is in the respective accounts with an open status (i.e. red button). Does this mean that the entry has already been discarded and it won't affect the accounts? Or does one then use FB50 to reverse the effects of the accrual in the current and next month?

    Hi
I guess that the user has not reverse the transaction as its still shows as open item in 30 /4 .. so I belive that you need to use fb50 or simply use FBR2 and enter the original entry no and the choose (generate reversal posting option )..

    Hi,
To speedup the export/import process you can think of the following options
    1) Table splitting : Split larger tables into smaller chunks of multiple sizes
    2) Package splitting: Splitting SAP export packages into multiple chunks of smaller sizes
    3) Increase R3load process: Increase the number of R3load processes until CPU utilization reaches around 80%
    4) Use Distribution monitor to utilize CPU resources available on Application server. You can add up R3load processes on Application server.
    5) Ensure that System statistics, Oracle Dictionary statistics and missing statistics are updated before performing export/import.
    6) Increase the size of Redo log files to 250 GB.
    7) Increase the number of redo log group members to atleast 16.
Ensure that above recommendations are implemented during the migration project. If not, you will land up in issues like export and import taking more time.
In case you have already considered above recommendations, please check alert_<SID>.log file for more details. Monitor log swicth operation in the log file.
Additionally monitor CPU usage and increase R3load processes accordingly.

  • To get the logical system names of all the child systems in a CUA envirnmnt

    Hi Gurus ,
Is there any table where we can find the logical system names of all the child sytems in a CUA environment .
This is for a requirement that i need to develop an automated process where we can reset the password of all the child system in a CUA environemt when requested by the user at once .
I found some tables such as V_TBDLS , but they do not contain the exact information what i need .
    Thanks in advance ,
    Harshit Rungta

    Hi,
You are in the right track. BD54 will show you the logical system name for all the existed systems in CUA.
Else you can also go to your CUA system and execute t-code SALE --> Basic Setting --->Logical Systems  ---> Assign logical system to client -
    > Display details
here you can see logical system names for all the clients assigned to CUA.
    Thanks,

  • User roles un-assigned in CUA but acces in child system is ok

    hi
i am have a really weird issue. a user who has access in roles in child clients, suddenly his roles disappeared from CUA. it did not effect access in child systems. any suggestions how to investigate this.
    thanks

Did you click the Naughty Button in SCUL? Check OSS Note 1074552...
Could also be a cause of failing idocs.
    Regards,
    Trond
PS: The above note is for cases where users loose their visible role assignments in CUA, although roles remain assigned in the child system(s), not for cases where role assignments from CUA never trickles through to the child systems. The mentioned OSS note is a direct result of a case worked on by yours truly in 2007. I include below a warning I posted on sapfans about the issue:
Word of warning: RSUSR_CUA_CLEANUP_USZBVSYS is faulty!!!
The program RSUSR_CUA_CLEANUP_USZBVSYS is available as a standard SAP program from at least version 6.20. It can be run from SE38/SA38 or launched from a pushbutton (far right) on the "results" screen of transaction SCUL.
The program is intended to delete "obsolete" entries from table USZBVSYS, which contains log entries for assigned child systems in a CUA environment. The program is run in the main CUA system, and supposedly deletes entries for systems where users no longer have access.
There is a serious problem with the program, as acknowledged and confirmed by SAP in an OSS note I opened a few days ago. Under certain circumstances (more than 500 entries for any child system in the CUA landscape), the program wipes clean the whole table, instead of just the obsolete entries.
The consequences are dire. Table USZBVSYS is used for several fundamental CUA functions, such as remote password reset from the CUA master system. After the wipe, executing SU01 and attempting to reset a users password in a child system will no longer work. The assigned child systems are no longer visible in the reset password pop-up (nor anywhere else in SU01, including the Roles tab). You'll have to edit the user via SU01, and click on the annoying pop-up showing "new system assigned to user" for each system where the user has access...
The only way to fix the issue is to re-run SCUG for all systems in the CUA landscape. We had to do this across 6 CUA's, each containing 30+ child systems/clients and 10000+ users, which was very time-consuming and annoying. Also, there seems to be cases where roles have been wiped out from users on the CUA master systems, possibly due to consequences of the empty USZBVSYS table.
SAP has conceeded the program is faulty, and have proposed a new version (note 1074551). Without applying this correction, the program should NOT be run.
Note that users can still log in to and work in the child systems, it's just the "visibility" from the CUA master system which is missing. Tables USLA04/USL04 are still intact.
Just wanted to warn the community; we've spent some considerable time discussing with SAP and rectifying the mess created by RSUSR_CUA_CLEANUP_USZBVSYS...

  • How to delete users in the child systems with CUA?

    Hi All,
    We have:
    1.  My SAP ERP 2005  (ECC 6.0)+ Windows 64bit + Oracle 10
    2. EP 7.0 + Windows 64bit + Oracle 10
    3. BI 7.0 + Windows 64bit + Oracle 10
    4. Solution Manager 4.0 (CUA)
We managed all our QA and DEV users in ECC, EP using CUA from the Solution Manager server (Productive servers  and all the BI  7.0 System Landscape aren't in the CUA).
My problem is when i want to delete a user. Sometimes if you delete a user in the solution manager (where the CUA is defined) the user still  exists in the Child Systems. In fact you can  see it with the SU01 only in the child system. I guess the idea is that if you delete the user in the CUA them  the user is delete in the child system.
I found this information in the SAP Help:
As well as the authorizations already mentioned, you also need another authorization in the central system for object S_USER_SYS. You can only assign new systems to a new user with this authorization. ( No Problem with this )
When a user is deleted in the central system, the system entry for the user is retained until the deletion is confirmed. If an error occurs, you can repeat the deletion by canceling the system (in the child system).
What does mean: deletion is confirmed?
    Best Regards,
    Erick Ilarraza

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply.
We used the SAP Transaction SCUG to solve CUA Problem.
It is something about the refresh of the user in the Parent / Child systems, you need to Re-Refresh users and delete it again.

  • How to create automatically users&roles in CUA and child systems

    Hi,
i have a CUA on a 2 chlid R/3 systems (test and training) and 2 portal systems (test and training).
i need to create a web application to create automatically users test and users training in CUA and see them in the R/3 chlid systems and at the same time to create autmatically a roles in CUA and R/3 chlid systems for those users (we sppose that the role is already stored in a table).
are there any standard BAPI or Funcion modules that can do this job?
is the role created automatically in CUA can be seen automaticall in the portal child system?
    any help?
    Thanks&Best regards

Thank you all. I got the solution.

I am still getting redirected to various web sites when using Safari.  My PC is not affected but my I phone and I pad are.  I have reset my router and changed my admin name and password.  I am still being redirected.

Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information.  Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection.  Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

  • Adding SerialElements that do not affect the seek / total time

Can anyone suggest an appropriate strategy for this?  I want to use something like this for mid-roll ads ect that could disable the controls etc. Could someone point me in the right direction?  Is there any way to just reset the total time or to tag some elements as not belonging to the main time line?
    Thanks

For me, I implemented midrolls using a similar approach described in a webcast that Jodie O'Rourke put out, basically it uses a proxy element and swaps out the real media for the midroll as necessary, it works quite well and does not affect the duration of the real media.
You can find the webcast here:

  • Profiles tab after CUA implementation

    Hello All,
I have a query in SU01 transaction. After implementing the CUA, my central system does not show any profiles (in PROFILES tab) for Composite Roles and single roles assigned for the user. Is it Normal or is it something to do with CUA implementation. I can see the related system generated role profiles for the roles assigned to user in the respective child systems. We are on SAP R/3 4.7 version.
Thanks in advance for the time.
    Br,
    Sri

    Hello Raghu,
This should not cause any concerns for you. However if you want to display the profiles please change the settings in SCUM from GLOBAL to LOCAL. Then you should be able to see the profiles. But I would advise against it cause then it will be possible to assign profiles in child systems directly. Not a good thing.
Please award points for useful answers.
    Regards.

  • CUA Implementation

    Dear Experts,
Currently we are planning phase to implement CUA in our IT landscape.
We have systems like   ECC, CRM, BI and solution Manager. We plan to implement Solution manager server as Parent system.
Each child system we have separate roles.
    ECC ->ZECC_ROLES (Total 6 roles)
    CRM ->ZCRM_ROLES (Total6 roles)
    BI -> ZBI_ROLES (Total8 roles)
Some users we create only  at ECC, some of them only create in ECC & CRM and some of them in all system.
1.In case to (parent system) create/distribute a user(test01) for all the child system, how to assign the roles to a user in Parent system. We want user(test01) should be assigned only ECC 6 roles in ECC System. the Same user at CRM should be assigned to only CRM related 6 roles. similar way BI also.
Could you please someone let us know how to handle the role allocation separately in CUA Central system(parent system) ?.
    Thanks
    Malai

    Hi Thirumalai ,
Yes , you will be able to assign roles to user profile with respect to what system  and roles does user requires access. After setting up central system and completing all configuration steps with child systems , you will be able to find an extra tab " SYSTEM " in central system which you cannot find in decentralized system. In this field you can enter the logical system name of the system (ECC / CRM /BI) in which does user access is requested. There after in role tab you need to enter the logical system name in system field and respective role namesin the role filed respectively and then save the user profile.
Please note that when ever you create any role in the child system landscape(i.e for example in ECC systems) you need to complete the text comparision from central system to child system , else the newly created roles will not be replicated to central system and you will not be able to perform any role assignments in the respective child systems.

    Kantikiran

  • Automatic text comparison does not work from child to Master in CUA

    Hi,
When trying to transfer role specifications to CUA master from our child system the application log is displaying as seen in slg1.png.
On our master system we are running 7.31 SP7 which is fine according to Note 1642106.
Our client system is 7.31 sp5 and there for we went to note 1141736 and installed note 1580217 as the other three notes is not compatible with our system.
we have also implemented the switch "CUA_AUTO_TXTCMP_ROLE" with YES in table USR_CUST on both systems.
The "error" does not go away and the "synchronization" does not seem to be activated between the systems.

    Hi,
This is a list of many Routing Modems and routers
    http://portforward.com/routers.htm
AS you will see the Netgear section is quite long.
Of those that are Wireless most will be G type devices.
I am not saying DO the Port Forwarding.
If you click on your Model and then Dismiss the Advert in the next page > Then Choose iChat in the Next List you will be told the Default Access info
Most likely this will be 192.168.0.1 and admin and password as the Default Info.
Once in the Set up pages you need to Check the menu on the left for UPnP and make sure it is Enabled (No Need for Port Forwarding then).
In the WAN Page you need to Disable DOS (Or SPI) and Allow Response to Internet Pings on the WAN port.
The 4500 was a typo, sorry about that. Should have read 500kbps
    On Adding Buddies.
Apple Names (@Mac.com and @me.com) and AIM ones need to be added to an AIM Buddy list.
By that I mean one that Logs into AIM.
If you have a @mac.com name then you should have selected the @mac.com option when choosing the Account type.
See the Drop down item in the middle of this Start Up Screen
    From http://www.ralphjohns.co.uk/versions/ichatvers4/howtoStartiChat.html
Similarly you need to chose the account type the Buddy is as well.
    More info with pics
So adding the Apple Test accounts requires that you type the same info as the iChat Software adds the @mac.com when you chose to add an @mac.com Buddy
Sample of middle Drop down in Add Buddy but set to @me.com instead
If you have a Jabber ID (And GoogleMail names work as GoogleTalk IDs and they are Jabber as well) you can add Jabber Buddies as well.
There is a way with some Jabber Servers to Add the ability to Text chat to MSN and Yahoo Buddies.
