CUAC BE 9.1 on BE6K server

Hey Guys,
Can someone confirm installing Cisco Unified Attendand Console Business Edition on BE6K hardware? Does it support Windows Server 2003? Is there a install guideline anywhere i can follow?
Regards
mchowdhury

Yes, you can follow the regular CUxAC guidelines and install guides available on CCO, just search for them and the requirements for OVA and OS support are in there

  • Cisco BE6k and VCS Core/edge

    Dear all,
There is a new Be6k High density in the testing environment.
However, we don't have clear picture on the deploying VCS Core/edge with the CUCM in the BE6k.
Do we install the VCS core and edge in the same BE6k server? After that, the VCS edge assign with a DMZ ip address?Or install other VCS edge from the appliance?
How is configuration between CUCM and VCS? Since I can't any related document from the Cisco.com.
    Best Regards,
    Ben Lai

1 Either works, you just need to make sure to properly design and configure the underlying network and the ports to which each VM will connect
2 There´s PLENTY of information on that

  • BE6K with 2 UCS Servers

I'm planning to deploy resilient BE6K using 2 x UCS servers.
Using the new ordering approach can I just order 2 of the standard BE6K UCS Servers(BE6K-ST-BDL-K9) along with the appropriate Business Edition licensing, or do I need to purchase a separate UCS server along with a single standard BE6K Server?
    Thanks in advance
    Stewart

    Hi Stewart,
Redundancy for BE6K is different than others as you should have a another BE6K box with same amount of licenses as main. As the licenses don't transfer to secondary server if primary fails but rest is all same.

  • Major : PSU_REDUNDANCY Redundancy Lost for BE6K UCS C220 M3S

    Hello Team,
We have several UC deployments based on UCS C220 M3 servers (the famous BE6K).
I'm not coming from systems background, I'm rather a Voice guy.
In fact, the BE6K UCS C220 M3 is shipped by default with only one Power Supply.
However, in the CIMC, we find many times that an alert is raised for Power Supply redundancy and the system LED turns to solid Amber.
Here's the alert : PSU_REDUNDANCY: PS Redundancy sensor, Redundancy Lost was asserted
We don't understand why this alert is raised when we already know that the BE6K server only contains one PSU ?
Is this a true problem or a false alarm ?
How can we clear this alert ?
In fact the fact the system LED is Amber is not a good sign from the customer perspective. As well as when we let it stay in the Amber LED state we wouldn't that a bigger problem (and a true one) may happen ?
The CIMC version is : 1.5.4f
    Please advise.

Thank you for your input Keny.
In fact we don't have a second PSU since it isn't shipped with the server. So, in our case (BE6K server) it's clearly a false alarm.
Is there a way to acknowledge/delete/ignore the alert, so that we don't get confused with other more important alerts that may truly affect the platform ?
    Thank you again.

  • CUAC 9.1 Premium Edition Upgrade to version 10.5

I have some questions regarding an upgrade that I'll be doing for a customer. The customer will be upgrading their full UC Suite from 9.1.2 to 10.5. The customer has CUCM, CUPS, Unity Connection and CUAC Premium.
I'm planning on upgrading CUAC first but I have some questions:
    1. Is CUAC 10.5 a supported installation on Windows Server 2008 32-bit?
    2. Is CUAC 10.5 installed on Windows Server 2008 32-bit compatible/supported with CUCM 8.6?
    3. Is CUAC 10.5 installed on Windows Server 2008 32-bit compatible/supported with CUCM 10.5?
    4. Which Operating Systems is the CUAC Premium Client supported on?
I've looked through the CUAC Installation & Uprade Guides, but they're seems a bit unclear.
While ordering the UC 10.5 upgrades for the customer with PUT, CUAC was not an orderable product in PUT (CUCM & CUC were) - does this imply that the customer isn't entitled to the CUAC Upgrade, or is the process for ordering CUAC upgrades different? Is CUAC typically covered by the same UCSS/ESW as the other items in the UC 10.5 product suite?
    Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi ,
If u refer the datasheet of Advanced Atendant Console version 10.5.2, it says it is compatibile from  CUCM version 7.1(5) to CUCM 10.5(2).
From Table 2 , you can get the system requirements but is supported
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/unified-communications/unified-attendant-console/data_sheet_C78-731867.html
    ●  Windows Server 2008 R1 (32-bit)
    ●  Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)
    ●  Windows Server 2012 (64-bit)
    ●  Windows Server 2012 R2 (64-bit)
From Table 3, u can get client system requirements

  • VLAN issue in BE6000

    Hi
iam having BE6K Server, i am trying to configure CUCM , the BE6K is connected to Core Switch with VLANS for VM and VLAN for CIMC and Managment
Problem:- 1)I have configured CIMC and Managment in VLAN 100
                       2)VM(CUCM) in VLAN 1
BUt when i try to configure CUCM in VLAN 1(192.168.1.X/24) i am not able to get configure it the network connection settings Fail , i am able to ping the VLAN 1 gateway from BE6K but i am not able to ping the CUCM VM as it is not passing the Network Configration Test duing Installation
There is VLAN option but some how the BE6K does not support 2 VLANS
Can any one tell me is it possible to confgiure Managment and CIMc is one vlan  and Virtual Machines(CUCM,Unity ) in another VLAN
    Thanks in advance

The NIC that connects your CIMC needs to connect to an access port on the switch in the correct VLAN.
For your virtual machines (CUCM etc) if you want to use VLANs then you need to configure a trunk port on your switch and ensure you setup the VLANs correctly on your virtual network adapters.
    Have a look here:

    Hope that helps!

  • Cisco 2960-X / Singlewire / Atlas Multicast Issues

Atlas and Singlewire are blaming the 2960-X stating that it is blocking the multicast traffic and this is why the Atlas IPS-ZCM cannot register because the SLP packets are not reaching the Singlewire server.
Already worked with Cisco TAC and they state there are no issue on the 2960-X.  But based on the wiresharks from both devices, I do see the SLP request leaving the Atlas device, but I never see it hit the Singlewire server.  Both devices are physically on the same switch and on the same vlan.
I have enabled and disabled IP IGMP Snooping globally with no success.
Any suggestions on a fix would be appreciated.
Atlas devices is on port 1/0/43
Singlewire is a VM running on BE6K server on port 1/0/47

  • BE6K on 3rd Party HP server

Can I load BE6K on a 3rd party HP UC supported Vmware server?

Yes, from a technical point of view, you can use the 6K OVAs (I'm assuming it meets the HW reqs), BUT, we won't call it a 6K, nor we support it if you do that. If he HW meets the requirements from virtualization wiki, and you use OVAs approved for non 6K, or 6K AND non 6K deployments, then we would support it, but as a regular install.
If this is for a production environment, that's a huge no.
You can reach pre-sales if you're a partner, or a Cisco Gold partner for info of the current options for a 6K, but it's a bundle, HW + SW + licenses, right now we have medium density (4 app + prime) and HD (8 apps + prime), not sure about the server models we're currently selling with each.

  • BE6K HD // LICENSING // SERVER OPTIONS

    Hi,
I would like to know if we can install the license package for BE6K in another server that is not the one that comes in bundle (BE6K-STBDL-PLS-K9=). We bought both license + HW but the HW is taking too long to arrive so we need to deploy our solution ASAP.
    Regards,
    Ivan

Technically, you can, but it won't be considered a 6K and we won't support it. The 6K offering is a combination of a specific UCS server + licensing.

  • VPN Site-to-Site or VPN Client Server with Cisco IP Phone 8941 and 8945

    Hi everyone,
I decide to deploy a CUCM (BE6K platform), SX20, and IP Phone 8941/8945 on Head Office and Cisco SX10 and IP Phone 8941/8945 for branch offices (actually 9 branch offices).
The connection will use internet connection for HO and each branch offices.
And the IT guy want to use kind a VPN client server or VPN site-to-site for the connection through internet,
what kind of VPN client server or VPN site-to-site that recommended for this deployment?
and what type of Cisco router that support that kind of VPN (the cheapest one will be great)?
So the SX10 and IP Phone 8941/8945 in branch offices can work properly through internet connection?
    please advise
    Regards,
    Ovindo

    Hi Leo,
technically, the ipsec users will not use up any premium license seats, so if you have 10 ipsec users connecting first, the premium seats are still free and so you can then still have 10 phones/anyconnect users connect.
However, the 250 you mention is the global platform limit, so it refers to the sum of premium and non-premium connections. Or in other words, you can have 240 ipsec users and 10 phones,  but not 250 ipsec users and 10 phones.
If 250 ipsec users and 10 phones would try to connect, it would be first-in, first-served, e.g. you could have 248 ipsec users and 2 phones connected.
Note: since you have Essentials disabled I'm assuming you are referring to the legacy "Cisco vpnclient" (IKEv1 client) which does not require any license on the ASA. But for the benefit of others reading this thread: if  you do have Anyconnect clients (using SSL or IPsec/IKEv2) for which you currently have an Essentials license, then note that the Essentials and Premium license cannot co-exist. So for e.g. 240 Anyconnect users and no phones, you can use Essentials. For 240 Anyconnect users and 10 phones, you need a 250-seat Premium license (and a vpn phone license).

  • CUAC Advanced - Upgrading TSP 8.6.2 to 10.5.1

    Hi,
I'm upgrading a customer's UC suite which includes CUAC.
The customer was previously running CUBAC 8.6.2, but I upgraded the AC server to CUAC Advanced 10.5.1. as the first step in the UC suite upgrades. So currently the TSP installed in CUAC Advanced matches their CUCM version of 8.6.2.
This Wednesday I'm upgrading the customer's CUCM to 10.5.1, my question is regarding the upgrade of the TSP file in CUAC. Do I need to uninstall the existing TSP, reboot, then install the new TSP and reboot. Or can I simply install the new TSP 'over-the-top' of the existing TSP and reboot once?
    Dave

    OK,
Just reporting back on my experience with this.
Once the migration of CUCM to 10.5.1 had completed, I opened the console to the CUAC server. There was a prompt on the server notifying me that CUAC had detected a different version of CiscoTSP running on CUCM. The prompt showed me that CUAC was running 8.6.2 and it detected 10.5.1. The prompt asked if I'd like to proceed with an 'automatic update' to 10.5.1.
'This is too easy' I thought... and it was. The installer bombed out with an error (I didn't pay attention to the cause). Anyway, the result was that I uninstalled the previous TSP, rebooted, installed the new TSP and ran through the 'add new hardware' wizard, then rebooted once more and all of the CTI devices registered to 10.5.1.
It looks like Cisco are trying to make things easier, which is a good thing - but in my case the auto update of TSP failed.

    Hi,
thanks for your help. The Server is a member Server of a Domain and I use a Account from the Domain with Administrative rights. After I use the Locale Admin of the Windows Server the installation was workin fine.

  • BE6K - Is there a way to import Existing CUCM Config into the BE6K CUPM?

    *Partner Question*
Is there a way to import import Existing CUCM Config into CUPM?
For example a customer has an existing CUCM deployment but wants to move to BE6K, can the existing config be exported a CSV and imported into the BE6K CUPM?

page 18 table 22 of BE6000 9.1 ordering guide says that if you have valid ESW contract then you can order upgrade to PCP via PUT tool.
Access to the Software Image, PAK and License File
The product numbers ordered for Prime Collaboration are: R-xxx and L-xxx. They result in an email being sent to the ordering ship-to email address providing instructions to access the Cisco eDelivery site to download the software image(s) and license Product Authorization Keys (PAKs) you ordered. The software image is downloaded and installed on the host server. The license PAK ID from the ESD site allows you to access the Cisco Licensing Site to associate the server MAC address to a license key or keys that are then installed on the host server(s). These license keys activate the Prime Collaboration software to be used in a production environment. These license keys also convert a trial installation into a production environment.

  • Licensing for BE6K Redundancy

    Hi All,
We've deployed Cisco BE6K and we are required to do redundancy for CUCM & CUC do we need to have separate UWL license for the redundant servers ?
    Please help.
    Best regards
    kennedy

No you do not need separate CUWL licenses.  The reason is that licenses on CUCM 9.x and later which is when CUWL starts to be used are not node or server based but user based instead.  You can have as many servers for redundancy as you want without changing the number of licenses you have.

  • BE6K 10.5(1) Prime & IM&P Error: Software

    Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a BE6k with Prime Collaboration 10.5.1, CUCM, Unity and IM and Presence. Documentation for initial configuring IM&P cannot be found, but this link has helped: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12347981/be6000-im-and-presence-installationconfig
I have been using this excellent youtube video as a walkthrough by Jason Murray: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzB89mSIjdc
Cisco Prime keeps on complaining the Unified CM IM and Presence server will not sync. Error: Software
    The detailed information is vague.
    See attached screenshot.

Have you tried just installing direct from the 12900-2 image?  I downloaded that same image for a lab setup and it is bootable.  You should be able to boot from it without having to install it as a patch or anything.
