Cubes on Materials management Cube 0IC_C03

HI,
We need to create cubes on the Materials management Cube 0IC_C03 to take care of the huge inventory data we have . These will be a copy of 0IC_C03 and 0IC_C03 will be a staging layer.
Want to know how will the marker update will work on the new cubes?

Queires on Non-Cumulative Inventory Management Cube 0IC_C03 Not Working

Hello all.
I am trying to use the 0IC_C03 Inventory Management cube with non-cumulative key figures. I followed the How to...Handle Inventory Management Scenarios in BW paper to a tee.
Steps I followed:
1. Ran initialization of beginning balance with 2LIS_03_BX
2. Ran the historical job with 2LIS_03_BF
3. Uploaded to BW the Initialization (BX) and compressed without setting the "No Marker Update" flag
4. Uploaded the historical movements (BF) and compressed setting the "No Marker Update" flag
Now, to this point, everything was fine. Quantities were as expected. Dollar values were as expected. The problem occurs once I load deltas:
5. Loaded delta for 2LIS_03_BF and compressed without setting the "No Marker Update" flag as instructed in the How To... paper
Query example:
MATERIALA:
Initial Stock Balance = 1000 EA
Delta had stock issue of 150 EA (so the stock balance should have decreased from 1000 to 850)
Now, I have the record in BW showing the stock issue of 150. However, the non-cumulative key figure within the query still shows 1000. And when I drill down by calendar day, I would expect the result to show 850, but it seems to add the 150 before taking it away resulting in 1000 which is actually the initial stock balance. It is like it is not recognizing the updates.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here is what helped in my case, very similar to your:
In DTP for 2lis_03_bx (not only in infopackage, as it is said in manual!) you have to change "Extraction Mode" parameter to "Initial Non-cumulative for Non-cumulative values"

Inventory Management Cube 0ic_c03, 0StockType

In the Inventory Management Cube 0ic_c03 queries,I've found that 0StockType has descriptions that are misleading because of the way they are written in domain bstaus (R3 side), especially when seeing the key and SHORT description (truncated beyond meaning).
OK I can correct these by changing BStaus 's texts.
The main changes I'd do are for the Customer Consigment, Customer Return Packaging and Material Provided to Vendor descriptions.
But what does 0StockType 'blank' (or #) mean ?
(It seems to mean something like Valuated Stock Valuation and 'Not Defined' is not very good in a Query result)

Well, no one replied, but I got feedback from OSS. So just in case anyone is interested.....
I had to use r3 > se11 to change the domain descriptions myself.
Bstaus 'blank' I put as 'Valuation'
I also improved some of the Bsttyp descriptions whilst there

Missing content for inventory management (cube 0IC_C03)

Hi everybody,
I installed the following BI content for inventory management: Cube 0IC_C03, InfoSource 2LIS_03_BX and transfer rules from data source 2LIS_03_BX to info source 2LIS_03_BX. However, I'm not able to the update rule from info source 2LIS_03_BX to info cube 0IC_C03. I can only find the old update rule 0IC_C032LIS_40_S278 -> 0IC_C03.
I also couldn't find the update rule for material movements from 2LIS_03_BF to infocube 0IC_C03.
How can I find this missing content. We are using BI Content Release 704 Level 1.

Hi Oscar,
unfortunately, I was not able to find a transformation for the datasource migrated to 7.0.
Btw, how do I determine to which version data sources are replicated. I have an underlying ECC6.0 system. When I replicate all data sources for that source system, datasources automatically show up as 7.0. I'm missing the pop-up question whether or not I want to replicate as 3.5 or 7.0.

Funds management cube getting data from 4 ods, data not seen in cube

Hello all,
I am working on funds management cubes (0PU_C02 and 0PU_C03). These two cubes get data from like 7 or 8 ODS. Can someone tell me which are the ODS which feed to respective cubes. I have the mappings done but i am getting very confused.
In the ods 0PU_O44 there is RLDNR for Ledger and I can see that data in ODS but when i run load to cube I dont see the ledger data (its direct mapping there are no routines or rules).
Is there any sequence with wihic we have to load the data?

Stock Valuation - Inventory Management Cube

Dear Sap Gurus,
We have implemented the Inventory Management Cube in BW.
Quantities are correct, but we have difference on the stock valuation.
For some material stock value are correct, for some other they are not correct.
A saw a lot of OSS notes and how to on this subject, I am trying to solve this issue using these documents, but based on your experience could you explain me how you solved this issue ????

Did you follow the correct steps?
Initialisation of BX data in the first step.(Loading of Opening Stock)
Then The request in which the opening stock was loaded must always be
compressed with a marker update
Init load of BF And UM in the second step
The request in which the historical material documents were contained
must always be compressed without a marker update and
Successive delta uploads must always be compressed with marker
updates
Check this whether you have done this or not.
Because of missing the steps here also would give you wrong values,

Service manager Configuration Management Cube Library MP failed status after upgrade SCSM 20012 R2

After the Upgrade to SCSM 2012 R2, the status of Service manager Configuration Management Cube Library MP is set to Failed and the System library MP is stuck on running in the eventvwr i got the following message:
Deployment Execution Infrastructure has retried the maximum number of times and is giving up on this execution step.
MP Element ID: SystemCenterWorkItemsCube
MP name: ServiceManager.ConfigurationManagement.Cubes.Library
MP version: 7.5.3079.0
Operation: Update
Error message: Errors in the metadata manager. The 'XXXXCustomerList_XXXXCustomerListId;' intermediate granularity attribute ID of the 'IncidentDim_XXXXXCustomerList' measure group dimension does not exist.
I already restarted the deployment of the MP

Business Content Cube for Service Management

My organization relies very heavily upon service orders and, as such, would like to create implement a SM (service management) cube.
We don't have CRM. Does anyone know of any business content SM cubes? I can't seem to find any.

Companycode 9650 is not setup for materials management

i am loading data from r/3 to CO cube 0copc_c10 from a custom defined datasource.I am getting error as "Companycode 9650 is not setup for materials management". i have checked in rsa/3.there also its throwing same error while displaying (but its showing 2056 records are selected).Dont know what to do.Any help?

Procedure
You can display the costs for this material referenced to cost component view 01.
The costs for material item 00016 correspond to the cost component view in the costing type in Customizing for Product Cost Controlling. If the costing type does not contain a cost component view, the system displays the costs for the cost components that are flagged as being relevant to stock valuation.
And DATA SOURCE WAS BUILT ON FUNCTION MODULE(Custom defined).

How can I extract non-cumulative cube data to another cubes ?

Dear Expert,
         I copied inventory cube 0ic_c03 to a new cube : ZIC_C03 , then I loaded the data of 0ic_c03 to the new cube ZIC_C03 .
the loading was sucessful, but the result of report of the ZIC_C03 was not correct. After looking into the problem, I found out
the new cube can successfully extract data related with "Goods movement" & "Revaluation", yet the extract of "Open Balance" does not seems to work.
         I have read through Note:375098, in which I could not find (InfoObject 0RECORDTP) in my start routine as mentioned in the solution
,and the note was not mentioned valid for BW 3.5 release.
         How can I extract non-cumulative cube data to another cubes correctly in BW3.5 release SP20?

Data in ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube) are in Sync.

My query is built on multiprovider. The data flow is data source u2013 ODS then ODS u2013 Info cube and multiprovider contains Info cube only.
Data in ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube) are in Sync.
The query results are not tie up ODS, Info cube ans Multiprovider(List cube).
Any one let me know why this is happening and how do I resolve it.

Data not loading to cube copied from 0sd cubes

hello everyone,
wen ever im trying to load data from r/3 into a cube which is created by copying from a 0sd cube, everything is running successfully, info package, dtp, transformations and all, but when i look into the contents tab, it says this is not a basis cube, can anyone explain pls.

Some one changed the settings of your cube from Basic cube to transactional cube ( real time infocube in IP)
Change it from transactional cube back to basic cube..This error will not come

MultiProvider Created from #.5 cube and 7.0 Cube

I have one global cube created with update rules and transfer rules and everything, the way we create in BW 3.5 (Delivery)
I have another newly created cube using BI 7.0 (History Delivery data) with Transformation and the DTP.
I have created one Multiprovider combining this 2 cube. The 1st cube contains all the data for Delivery with Material, Plant, 0MAT_PLANT and Delivery quantity and dates and other things as per the requirement. This is a cube to be used going forward.
The 2nd cube contains only Delivery data from legacy system loaded in to this History cube from Flat file. This cube only has 0Material, 0Plant, 0MAT_plant, Delivery Qunatity and the requested date.
Now the Multiprovider has common chars and KFs from these 2 cubes.
When I run the query on this MultoProvider to see results of past 12 months (Requested Date) excluding current month with quantity. I get only the results from the 1st cube. I have created test query on both the cubes individually and I get results on both those queries but when it comes to MP it just gives from the 1st cube which is created in BW 3,5.
Now My questions are
1) Does it make any difference for MP if one of the cube is in 3,5 and other in 7.0 ??
2) If No then what else could be the problem. I have checked the Data both of them look identicle and correct as far as I think unless I have made some basic error??
Please help. Will provide points.

Is it required that I have to select the particular InfoProviders under the DataPackage under Characteristics for the QUERY??
If you wish to see the data in the query that is stored in a particulat cube that form part of the multi, then you could.
Was I creating query the wrong way? I want to know the reason, It did work but I want to know the logic though.
No. it is wrong. But, if the query does not read data from more than one cube, but if you create it to run from multi cubes, then query response time may suffer.

Creating a Summary Cube from Line Item Cube

Friends,
1. I have a GL Line Item cube that gives me item level information
2. As I needed to create a summary cube I copied line item cube adjusted dimensions (removed Line Item) and activated it.
3. When I loaded the summary cube from Line Item cube I got same number of transactions
What have I missed? I want to summarize the info at GL Account level; or at any other info object level.
I have done this before but it did not work this time. I think I have missed a step.
I will be looking forward to your recommendations!

Hi,
Just removing tick against Line item will not work. You have to remove that characteristic from the cube. As this characteristic is High cardinality , you need to remove it from he cube.
Decide at what level you want to have aggregated data and keep only those characteristics in the cube.
