CUBEVALUE - How it works for filters in EXCEL?

Hello All,
I am using CUBEVALUE fucntion in Excel with many dimension as filter.
For the below condition, CUBEVALUE function failed to return values based on filter, it returns all value.
Case 1:
Dimension1 - COLUMN1 ( All Value )
Dimension1 -COLUMN2 ( Single Value )
--> CUBEVALUE returns proper value.
Case 2:
Dimension1 - COLUMN1 ( All Value )
Dimension1 -COLUMN2 ( Mutiple Value )
--> CUBEVALUE returns ALL values and it does not consider Dimension1 -COLUMN2 filter.
Case 3:
Dimension1 - COLUMN1 ( Multiple Value )
Dimension1 -COLUMN2 ( Mutiple Value )
--> CUBEVALUE returns proper value.
Could you please help me to understand how CUBEVALUE function works based on filter value? Is there any way to profile the value based on filter?

Hi Ravi,
According to your description, you are using CUBEVALUE function in EXCEL, and cannot get the expected results when using FILTER function, right? CUBEVALUE function only allows calling a measure which is then filtered using member expressions. What this means
is that you cannot create MDX calculated members on the fly using the CUBEVALUE function. Here are some links that might helps.

If it's not on the device list, it indicates that someone has gone to Find My iPhone on icloud.com and manually deleted it from the device list (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0eeddd), and it has not gone back online since (which would cause it to reappear on the device list; Find My iPhone has been turned of in settings on the device; the iClolud account has been deleted from the device; or the entire devices has been erased and restored.
Unfortunately, there's no other way to track the phone other than through Find My iPhone. You could call your carrier and see if they would blackliste it so at least the theif couldn't use it.

How IE works for flat file

Hi all:
As we all know that, when IE gets a idoc's service name from SLD, then use it with idoc's message type and Idoc type to do receiver determniation, what about flat file ? how can we know its Service name and interface name if there is only a flat file on FTP? how IE works for Flat file ?

Hi,
For any idoc scenarious, you would use business systems rather than business service which is stored in SLD. So the IE would fetch it from SLD at runtime.
For file based scenarious also, you can create business system as type third party and use the same.

Foreign Currency Translation at Year End - How SAP Works for P&L items?

I wanted to know "How SAP works on Foreign Currency Translation at year end" from Local Currency to Group Currency for P&L Items.
I know how SAP works for Balance sheet items but am really confused with when the translation was done for P&L Items.
Configuration:
We are on ECC 6.0 . Local Currency is CAD and we have 2nd Local Currency as "USD - Group Curr".
We have set up Valuation Method - 4
We have set up Valuation Area - 40
For Account Determination for Currency Translation, GL accounts (Loss, Gain and B/S Adj) were setup for the combination of Chart of Accounts, Val Area and Fin Stmt Ver.
Sales Account Balance
CAD (LC)        USD (2nd LC)
1000                   920
Using tcode "FAGL_FC_TRANS", we translated our P&L items.
Local Currency is CAD and Group Currency is USD.
CAD 1000 and USD 920 are cumulative balances over a period of time.
Since at the end of year CAD became stronger, exchange rate is 1.11 as an example
Sales Account Balance
CAD (LC)        USD (2nd LC)        Translated Value in USD
1000                   920                        900
System passed the following entry in USD:
Debit Balance Sheet Adj A/c 20
Credit Translation Gain / Loss A/c 20
Here are the questions:
1. How does over all translation work? - Should we get any Gain / Loss and have an effect on P&L when all accounts (P&L, B/S) are translated?
2. How can there be a gain entry when USD value has really fallen from 920 to 900 in the current case.

I had this issue too. The entry was just opposite to what it should be. I just flipped the accounts in table FAGL_T030TR.
Example: 410000 is sales account which normally should have a credit balance. Here are some entries that were posted to sales in 03/2009 and I am running FAGL_FC_TRANS at the end of the month.
March 1, 2009 Cr. Sales CAD 1000- USD 900-
March 2, 2009 Cr. Sales CAD 500- USD 480-
During FC translation transaction, system takes the balance in the account for the period (if you execute it with 'Val. period balance only' checkbox checked) and not the cumulative balance. SAP recommends translating period balance only (and not cumulative balance) for P&L accounts. It sees a balance in LC (this again depends on the config. you have in OB22 - whether the indicator is 1 (TC as source currency) or 2 (LC as source currency for translation)) which is 1500, converts that at month end rate. After conversion, lets say the balance is 1400-.
In this case, we expect a credit entry on sales account
March 31, 2009 Cr. Sales CAD 0 USD 20-
But system was just posting the opposite. I then flipped the accounts in FC translation configuration. I know it is misleading. In that configuration, system says balance sheet adjustment account, but what you should actually give there is your gain/loss account. Our gain/loss a/c. falls in the same GL account range as the main account. For example, for 410000, it is 410999 and for 510000, it is 510999. We report accounts 410000 to 410999 in the same node in the FSV.

Now able to copy photos from PC to iPhone - Here is how it worked for me!

This is a long one!
Most of us come here for the first time looking for answers on how to do something or to find out what we or our iPhones are doing wrong. I've been looking and watching the threads for over a week on several questions I have, one of which is why I "couldn't get photos from my PC to my iphone". I kept trying so many things I even unintentionally deleted the photos I had taken with the iphone camera. Luckily I had (somehow) downloaded them to my PC, but the problem was I couldn't get them back on to my iphone nor add other pictures to my iphone.
Well, if you are like me you look for the tiniest bit of information that may help work and reduce the frustration. I'm not really sure what happened to make it work correctly, but it did and has been working ever since. This may not help everyone but if it helps just one that is having the same problem I was, it will be worth me posting my resolution here. Again I'm not sure it will help but here is what made it work for me! Please tell us if it did or did work for you?
Ok here is what I did: I made a special folder on the root of one of the other drives (not my C drive) I have on my PC and called it "iPhone Pics and Movies". Under that I made two folders: one called "My iPhone Movies", the other called "My iPhone Pictures" (no quotes in any of those). I then took a small .jpg picture that was already on my PC (in another place), made a copy and renamed it with my daughters name( because it's a picture of her). It's five letters long starting with a capital letter and has no spaces, numbers, or any other symbols or characters. Then, I have an old version of Adobe Photoshop and used it to edit the photo size to near (not over) 640x480 (or vice versa in landscape). If you don't have Adobe Photoshop I don't know if it will work but would like to hear if it does from anyone that was having the same problem I was and this helped. The next thing I did was take that one picture I adjusted the size on and copy (not drag and drop) and paste into the folder I created My iPhone pictures. Then made sure my iphone wasn't connected, opened iTunes 7.4.1 (the new one) and selected the music on the left window (not that it would matter I guess). I made sure my iphone was off and connected it to the PC USB port, (clicked off the preverbal iPhone connected which program to use window that pops up) and let itunes finish seeing my iphone. Clicked on the iphone that now shows up in "Devices" on the left. BTW, I don't have anything selected in the "Options" area of the Summary Tab. Neither of those selections are checked at the bottom. I then went to the upper photos tab. When that window opened, I then unchecked the sync at the top and reselected it to have a check mark in it. Then changed the "sync photos from field" location to "Choose Folder" and browsed to and clicked on the new "iPhone Pics and Movies" (NOT the lower sub folder my iphoto pictures - not yet anyway) and then said OK. In iTunes, it immediatly populated the lower selection window with the two sub folders I made. Now I put a check mark in the "selected folders" block and it indicated I have (1) photo (which is correct only having my daughters photo in there. * I didn't do more than one photo at first because I had tried all this with more than one before and it didn't work. So just putting one in there at first seems to have jump started the process correctly (at least that's what worked for me). I then clicked on the bottom right (itunes right of the capacity bar) either "sync" or "add" (which ever was showing at the time). The process window at the top said it was processing photos (a good sign). When the sync rotor stopped on the device for iphone. I unplugged it from my PC and immediatly turned it on and went to photos happily and (FINALLY) to see three selections listed under photo albums. The standard "camera roll", a new "Photo Library (1)", AND (cheers from the crowd) "My iPhone Pictures (1)". Of course I selected my iphone pictures and there was the picture of my daughter. I shut down my iphone, closed itunes and proceeded to copy more photos to "My iPhone Pictures" folder. Then went through the whole process again and saw all my pictures in "My iPhone Pictures" folder showing up in my iphone.
NOTE: A folder will be created buy iTunes on your PC in your version of the "My iPhone Pictures" folder. That folder will be named by iTunes as "iPod Photo Cache". Don't change, move, or delete it. Just leave it alone. If you do you will have to start the whole process all over again (that's what happened to me).
This was long, but I wanted to make sure you had all the steps correctly to try for yourself. This has worked well ever since I "jump started it". I now have 36 pictures in my iPhone and will be adding more. If it helps, Good! If not, don't blame me, I was just telling you that it did work for me. Good Luck! How ATP works for ATO Item

I have the following scenario:
We have ATO item which gets manufactured by CM.
CM ships the items to a 3PL warehouse via Internal Sales Order (we use drop ship by CM to customer, as well as we stock standard models at 3PLs & depots).
In order to ship to a customer, we create a Sales Order with 3PL as a shipping warehouse. If on-hand quantity is not available in 3PL warehouse for ATO configured item, how ATP will behave? Will it consider infinite supply as defined in the time fence?
Note: in both CM & 3PL inventory organization, ATO item setup is “Buy”.

HT201272 I don't see how this works for an iPod

I have an iPod Touch running iOS 5.1.1 and have a few aps that I have downloaded and then deleted and now I want to reinstall them on the iPod. The example of the App Store app bottom menu bar shown above is not like the menu bar on my iPod. My iPod does not have a "purchased" or "genius" menu heading. A lengthy internet search comes up with a scary solution of backing up the iPod, deleting iTunes on my Mac, re-installing iTunes and restoring the iPod. I fear losing all of my movies, songs, apps, podcasts and photos. Simply re-checking the box on iTunes does not work. Neither does restoring the iPod. It seems, once an app is deleted from a device, it is no longer able to be used on that device ever.

Most of the screen shots in that article are for the iPad. For an iPod touch you would go to the updates section at the bottom of the App Store screen and in there you will find the purchased section you seek.

HT201272 If I go through "Purchased", how will it work for the ones I completed my album & single is no longer available?

Over the years, I've purchased 425 albums (2312 songs total).
I'm upgrading my hard drive, and was wondering how it worked for the 'Purchased' section. If I bought an album with "Complete My Album" and the 'Single' I got in pre-orders (or whatever) is no longer available for purchase, will I get it with my entire album download? Or will I have to go back & re-purchase that song? (considering I notice if the song is missing at all)
(If my rambling makes any sense) Does anyone know? or is this something I should ask Customer Support?

Go into iTunes store on computer. On the right hand side under quicklinks select Purchased. You can redownload any of those songs for free as long as you have authorized your computer. Just click the little cloud, or "download all"

I really dont understand how this works

alright first off this isnt for a school assignment so please dont feel guilty about "giving it away"
alright so this has to do with something called gridworld, if you ever seen it you know what it is, if you havents its basiclly a java built world that has bugs, rocks, flowers, and other things.

alright getting to the point i have the code for a bug someone build called a "chameleoncritter". what the bug does is change colors depending on what it is next to, so if it is next to a pink rock it changes pink, ive been reading the code and can honestly not figure out how this method changes its color depending on what it is next to. here is the code

The Filter defined will only be run in the context that it is defined in. Since you are creating a new context, you will have to assign a new Filter. BTW, why not include the static content in the WAR with the dynamic stuff?

Can anybody know how arraycopy works for two dimensional arrays? If I want to copy the 4th row of the source array to the 4th row of a destination array,

then what should be the src_position? Is it calculated based on the row number?

There are no "two dimensional arrays" in Java. Java has only one-dimensional arrays, which can hold elements that are primitives or references. An array can store references to other arrays, and thus appear to be "multidimensional".
There are several possible answers to your question.
There may be no need to "copy", just assign the reference of element 3 in the array to the subarray in the source array:
src[3] = dst[3];Or, you may want to actually copy the data between the two subarrays:
System.arraycopy(src[3], 0, dst[3], 0, dst[3].length);Sorry if this is a far more complicated answer than you wanted, but if you truly understand how arrays of arrays in Java work, it will all become crystal clear!

How do you save data into an excel file while myRIO is acquiring data? I tried saving it using "Write to file" but it doesn't work for some reason.

I am acquiring cosine wave and a pulse wave as input and I want to store their peak to peak values into an excel file. "Write to File" is not working for it. Is there any other vi which can be used for data logging?

Can you provide more detail when you say that the Write to File VI doesn't work? Is there an error given? Or can you just not find the file on your computer? Keep in mind using this file in a Real-Time VI on the myRIO will save files on the myRIO. You will then have to transfer to your PC. Filtering not working for newly added child objects in master-detail table

Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 version.
Problem scenario:
Filtering of records is not working for newly created child objects in a master-detail scenario.
Steps to reproduce this issue using HR Schema (using LOCATIONS and DEPARTMENTS table ) :
1. Create Business components (EO's & VO's ) for LOCATIONS & DEPARTMENTS table)
1. Create a .jspx page and insert a readonly master table of Locations
2. Insert a child table (inline-edit table) of Departments and enable filtering
4. For the child table, drag and drop CreateInsert operation as a toolbar button .
5. Create a new child record using the toolbar button and enter data .
6. Filtering on the newly created child record's attributes does not work.
Please note that the same filter works for existing child records.
Any suggestions for resolving this issue?

Found from Fusion Developer's Guide the following snippet about QBE functionality :
"+When you create data controls, all data collections will automatically include a Named Criteria node with an All Queriable Attributes criteria. This is the default view criteria that includes all the searchable attributes or columns of the data collection. You cannot edit or modify this view criteria+. "
So, the question is if the implicit view criteria cannot be edited, how else to set the query execution mode to "Both" ?
Shouldn't ADF BC support this by default? Is this a bug?
Note:- If you create a maste-detail table using POJO datacontrols, filter works correctly for newly created child records also .
This seems to be an issue with ADF-BC datacontrols only.

How to show specifc filters for specific groups

Hi,
I have a sitecollection with lists A and B. There are two subsites.Each subsite has lists C and D.
Admin has access to everything.
Non Admins group(s) have access to specific subsite
I understand that search results are security trimmed with user group permissions.When Admin searches, he should be able to see results from all lists and he should also see filters A,B,C and D.
When non admin searches, he should be able see results only from specific subsites to which he has access and should be able to see the filters C and D.
How can I do this? The below approach I had involves creating lots of pages is there a better way.
I could create 4 pages at root sitecollection for 4 lists and add them to the SearchNavigation in SiteSettings with audience targetting.In each of those 4 pages, I can add SearchNavigation webpart with Search Results and Search box webpart and query transform
to fetch results for that specific list content type for that respective page.
At each subsite, I would have to add two pages with audience targetting in Search Navigation for lists C and D . In each of the two pages, I have to add the search Navigation webpart and results webpart which is query transformed for that specific list.
So in total I would require 8 pages ,4 for sitecollection and 2 each for 2 subsites.
How else can I achieve this?
One approach I had was to create a single result page at sitecollection level and add this url 4 times with different url parameter matching the list content type along with. audience targetting.This would ensure that, if Admin sees the page which has search
navigation webpart, he would see 4 links and others would see 2 links.
Similarly in subsite, I can add the two links to same result page along with two url parameters, 1) path( to that subsite) and 2)content type .
But is there a way where we can specify the contenttype and path in the url?
I tried results.aspx?contenttype=mycontenttypename&path="my url" but it does not work.
Is there any better way to achieve the same?

Unfortunately, it didn't work. While I was able to add the second cover art, when the song from the album played it still showed the first album cover. While the second album cover won't show unless I click the "part of a compilation" box in "cmd-i > Info". This will work for the one song that I have checked. Although I can select the songs in the album, whenever I attempt to assign the specific artwork to those songs for, the artwork applies itself to all the other songs on the cd. Any other suggestions ? All are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Tap on the event to open the event. Click the 'Edit' button in the event bubble, then press the 'Delete Event' button at the bottom of the Edit pop-up. It's a little different for events that come through Microsoft Exchange, you tap the event to bring up bubble and click the 'Details' button, and then press 'Decline' to remove the event.
