CUCIMOC - Invalid CCMCIP authentication server configuration

Hi,
I've been trying to get CUCIMOC working on a test machine but i keep getting the error "Unknown Error. [DeviceAdaptorInitializationFailed] Invalid CCMCIP authentication server configuration. [1200].
Also, the server status has:
Server Address: blank
Server Port: blank
Server Protocol: blank
Status: Disconnected
see screenshots.
Also attached is the problem report.
Call Manager Version: 7.1.5.3
CUCIMOC Version: 7.1.4
Communicator 2007 R2 version: 3.5.6907.225
A CSF device has been set up on the call manager and my userID assigned to it.

Hi Karthik,
Thanks for the response,
To answer your points:
+ In CUCM Serviceability > Tools > Network Services, do you have Cisco
CallManager Cisco IP Phone (CCMCIP) service active and running?
I unfortunately don't have access to the serviceability page, i will have to contact someone from Telstra to have a look, but i would have thought they'd have set this up.
+ In your CUCM cluster, are you using CTL lists?
Unsure if we are using these, will have to confirm.
+ In CUCM, did you complete the steps in the URL link below:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/7_1/english/integrat/g
uide/config_servers.html#wp1054089
Yes, telstra completed these steps. we have integrated with AD and that is working fine as well as having created a CSF
+ On your MOC, can you see the conversation pane?;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/7_1/english/integrat/g
uide/troubleshooting.html#wp1055659
I am able to see the conversation pane, but many of the items are blanked out and when i hover over them, it says "Selected Device Unavailable. Select the title menu bar button. The select Tools > select device for conversation pane." when i do this the select softphone device is empty.
+ Between your MOC/OCS and CUCM, do you have a firewall?. If so, make sure
that you are not blocking the traffic shown in the URL link below: HTTP,
CTI-QBE, SIP
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucimoc/7_1/english/integrat/g
uide/plan.html#wp1052867
our firewall is not blocking that traffic.
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Shay Trinh

  • Cuci moc fails "Invalid CCMCIP authentication server configuration"

Installed the cuci moc add-in for my OCS R2 client but when trying to connect it fails.
The server status notification popup shows the following message:
    Unknown Error.
[DeviceAdaptorInitiazationFailed] Invalid CCMCIP authentication server configuration. [1200]
    Any help is welcome.
    Thx

    Issue has been resolved.
I downloaded the latest version of the cuci-moc software which only included the software.
The previous version 7.1.2.zip also included a cucimoc-Admin-ffr.7-1-2.zip, which has the Administration Toolkit.
This toolkit also included registry update and .adm files for policy setting.
       CUCIMOC-CUCSFAdminData_GroupPolicy.reg
       CUCIMOC-CUCSFAdminData_GroupPolicy.adm
I am now able to connect and can toggle between softphone and deskphone.

  • Failed to Connect to CCMCIP authentication server error

    Hi All,
I am getting a strange error with a CM8  Cisco Unified client services framework client.
He is getting failed to connect to CCMIP authentication server.
The user is assoicated with a phone line.
He is in the CCM end users and standard CTI enabled group.
The phone is setup to be controlled via CTI.
I had one of the IT support guys use this users login to try and login using a different PC with the similar results.
This makes me wonder if the problem is with the users' profile on the Presence server somehow.
I will attach the problem report along with one of the error messages.
I have noted the problem with the voicemail server and will get the password fixed up soon.
Any help or ideas would be so appreciated.
    Regards
    Amanda

    Hi All,
I am continuing to work on the problem.
I found something interesting in the core log file.
I will attach the new debug report.
If anyone has any ideas for how to fix this please let me know.
    thanks

    Hi sql393,
Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only manage SQL Server 2005 servers with SQL Server Configuration Manager. Invalid class [0x80041010].
The solution is to go to a command prompt and then run mofcomp.
     C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared>mofcomp "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof"

  • Invalid Message Authenticator in EAP Request

    Hi,
I am attemping to configure Infratructure authentication for WDS and WPA/PEAP Client authentication using ACS 4.1(1) Build 23 from an Aironet 1210 running IOS 12.3(8)JEC.
I have a production ACS server that has both LEAP and PEAP enabled under the global configuration options.
The access point has been correctly defined as a NAS using RADIUS-Aironet on the ACS server. The Access point has ACS defined as a RADIUS server and the shared secret set the same as the NAS definition within ACS.
For both WDS Infrastructure authentications(LEAP) and client authentication requests to the access point using PEAP I receive the following message in the ACS failed log:
"Invalid message authenticator in EAP request"
A search on CCO tells me that this is normally the result of a shared secret mismatch. I have however retyped the shared secret several times , and tested with simple strings such as "cisco" and the same result is received. Both the Radius definition on the AP and the NAS definition on ACS have bee re-created with no change in result.
As a test I ran up a clean install of ACS 4.1(1)23 in a VMware session. Configured a NAS object for the AP as I had previously done on the production system and it worked first go.
Would anyone have any clues on what could be wrong with my production ACS. ?
    Many Thanks,
    Leon

I have a question, when you placed the AAA client under a NDG, was there any Shared Key defined on the NDG level. Because it is an expected behavior, that if you define a Shared Key on the NDG level it over-rides key at the AAA Client level.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_windows/4.2/user/guide/NetCfg.html#wp342738
    Refer to Step4.,
"Each device that is assigned to the Network Device Group will use the shared key that you enter here. The key that was assigned to the device when it was added to the system is ignored. If the key entry is null, the AAA client key is used."

When trying to update my Mail Account Mailbox Behaviours settings, after making the changes when I try to close the settings pane the following messages occur: Invalid Incoming Mail Server The “Incoming Mail Server” field cannot be empty. The incoming mail server box has in light grey colour: p02-imap.mail.me.com in it and I cannot edit its content. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it?

    Hi all,
Mattreichenbach is probably on the right track here with a reset of settings.  I think I've determined the issue has to do with cached account information and inconsistencies for the account name.  This seems to crop up when I've changed my password and it hasn't propagated fully to all the servers, devices, certificates, etc.
Hopefully many here are on their way to restoration of service by now but it's clear that a lot of people are having the same issues.  Very frustrating and definitely something Apple needs to resolve:  incoming mail server field grayed out, incorrect autopopulation of different fields, other unanticipated behaviors.  If you're still having issues, though, here's what worked for me...
First, head to the iCloud preferences pane in System Configuration and choose "Sign Out".  When I did this it prompted me with a number of "are you sure" type questions about retaining information on my local machine.  I chose to delete/remove the info each time simply because it should all be restored by the cloud and I didn't want to risk a massive duplication of my data... I will say, I'm back up and running with no issues so I suspect you can make the same delete/remove choices...  But use your own judgment.  I don't want you to lose any data (ie.. please use care as you do this because I cannot bear the thought of causing anyone to experience the pain of data loss).
Once you've signed out of iCloud, restart your system.  When you get back in, head to the Mail, Contacts and Calendars section of your System Preferences and add your account back by choosing the brushed aluminum "iCloud" button.  When it asks for your account name, use your @iCloud.com email address.  I am all but certain my issue had started because one of my devices (iPhone or whatever) had been set up with an email alias specified instead of my @iCloud.com address.
Apple, if you're reading through any of these issues (there are TONS of users having this same problem).  Take note, that your icloud service somewhat frequently is not responding and yet tells the user that the password is wrong and this prompts people to be changing their passwords unnecessarily.  This has happened to me on numerous occasions.  Also, I noticed that last week's outage corresponded to a VERY similar outage exactly one year ago to the day.  Sounds like planned maintenance to me and I think you could do a better job notifying folks so we're not wasting HUGE amounts of time troubleshooting a problem that we have no hope of fixing.
Hope that helps some of you!

  • OIM 11g Server Configuration Wizard Error - Cannot Connect to Oracle DB

I appreciate any and all suggestions or thoughts on how to best continue troubleshooting this error that I am describing below.
I am attempting to install Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite 11g on a Windows 7 machine…in following the installation guides I have successfully installed the following Oracle Components
    - Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.0
    - Created Schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3
    - Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.3.0
    - Oracle SOA 11.1.1.2.0
    - Oracle SOA 11.1.1.3.0 (Patch Set)
    - Oracle IAM SUITE 11.1.1.3.0
Following the above installations, I created a new WebLogic Domain and as the next step am running the OIM Configuration Wizard to configure the OIM Server, however I am unable to setup a connection to the Oracle DB via the OIM Configuration Wizard. I am getting an error message when attempting to setup the connection to the Oracle Database using the OIM 11g Server Configuration Wizard:
    ERROR:*
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
*+[DETAILS] Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name, and password are correct.+*
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
*+[DETAILS] Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name, and password are correct.+*
When installing the Oracle Database 11gR2 I used the following install configuration:
    Oracle base: C:\MyApps\Oracle
    Software location: C:\MyApps\Oracle\DB_HOME\11.2.0\dbhome_1
    Database file location: C:\MyApps\Oracle\DB_HOME\oradata
Database Edition: Personal Edition (3.27 GB)
    Character Set: Unicode (AL32UTF8)
    Global database name: orcl.dev.com
    Administrative Password: Password1
    Confirm Password: Password1
When creating my Schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3 I used the following Database Connection Details
    DB TYPE: Oracle Database
    HOST NAME: localhost
    PORT: 1521
    SERVICE NAME: orcl.dev.com
    USERNAME: sys
    PASSWORD: Password1
    ROLE: SYSDBA
I used a Prefix of “DEV” when creating the schemas so Schema Owners DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS where created. Also, I configured to use the same password for all Schemas: “Password1″. So the password for DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS should be the same, “Password1″.
    REPRODUCING THE ERROR
To reproduce the error, when I launch the Oracle Identity Management 11g Configuration Wizard I am first brought to the “Welcome” Screen. I click the [Next>] button.
Next, I am on the “Components to Configure” screen where I select OIM Server and OIM Design Console and click the [Next>] button. (NOTE I have also tested by simply selecting only the OIM Server)
Next, I am on the “Database” screen where I enter the connection information
    Connection String: localhost:1521:orcl.dev.com
(NOTE I have also tested using localhost:1521:orcl)
    OIM Schema User Name: DEV_OIM
    OIM Schema Password: Password1
    MDS Schema User Name: DEV_MDS
    MDS Schema Password: Password1
When I click the [Next>] button after entering the Database Connection details I encounter the following two errors (1 error for each logon DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS)
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
    TROUBLESHOOTING
NOTE: I can successfully start the Oracle DB Services and connect via the Enterprise Console, SQL Plus, and JDBCTest Java Client…I just cannot get past this connection error in the OIM Server Configuration Wizard.

Whenever installing oracle databases, i install the software only first. Then i setup the listener. Then i create a database instance using the dbca tool. This way all the information is added to the pre-existing listener configurations rather than trying to create the listener afterwards. Also, during the dbca database creation, i supply a full service name such as orcl.hostname and use the service name in future configurations where it asked. This usually solves any issues of the listener or database not being found correctly.

  • Weblogic Admin server - Configuration/Server Start/Arguments ignored?

    Hi,
I'm trying to specify a http proxy for a WebLogic Admin Server in order for an application to access external resources. I've placed the settings into the "Server Configuration / Server Start / Arguments", and verified that they have been saved into the config/config.xml file for that domain:
    <server-start>
    <arguments>-Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080</arguments>
    <password-encrypted>[XXXX]</password-encrypted>
    </server-start>
However, no matter how I start the server, these settings are ignored despite that the documentation states these should be added to the java command line.
    starting weblogic with Java version:
    java version "1.6.0_19"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_19-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.2-b04, mixed mode)
    Starting WLS with line:

As a test I created a new managed server in the same domain, specifying the same startup properties, and they were picked up during startup.
If I manually place the settings into the bin/setDomainEnv.cmd batch file for the domain they are also picked up and work.
Is there an undocumented restriction on Admin Servers that they ignore the "Server Start / Arguments" setting, or is there something else I can check as to why this is not working?
    Many thanks,
    - Micha.

Umm... I already pasted the relevant snippet out of the config.xml, but following is the entire file. The startup arguments, as specified in the admin console, are:
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXXXXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080
which matches what is saved in the config.xml.

  • Server Configuration in Linux

    hi...
I am trying to configure LC with weblogic in Linux... In application server configuration, i gave Host Name as the machine IP and port as 7001 but its throwing an error ALC-LCM-100-011... Application Server host or port may be invalid.
    Please help me..
    Thanks
    Ambika

Can you post the full stacktrace?
Is your Admin server running/functioning? Are you able to log into it the WL Admin Console at that same IP and port?
True, 7001 is admin port which is what LCM expects.
LCM interacts with managed servers via the admin server.

  • SQL server configuration Manager - WMI error.

I'm having an issue accessing SQL server configuration Manager on windows server 2012 64 bit.
Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only manager SQL server 2005 and later servers with SQL Server Configuration Manager. Class does not exist. [0x8070583].
Any solution or workaround would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, the link you provided discuss the same issue but for a different class number, Invalid class [0x8004100]
The error I got is for Class [0x8070583], do you know if the proposed solution work for both classes?
    Thanks again.

  • Sql Server Configuration Manager fails to start

    Hi,
My Os is Windows 7 Enterprise.
I have Sql Server 2008 Developer Edt. with sp1
and Sql Server 2005 express (which comes with Visual Studio)
When I try to open Configuration Manager it fails:
Cannot connect to WMI provider. You do not have permission or the server is unreachable. Note that you can only manage SQL Server 2005 and later server with SQL Server Configuration Manager.
    Invalid class [0x80041010]
I've tried everything I could find on the net. But none of them worked for me.
Later, I realised that the file called "sqlwep-uni.mof" under "c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.INSTANCENAME\MSSQL\Binn" has failed with mofcomp command.
Microsoft (R) MOF Compiler Version 6.1.7600.16385

    Parsing MOF file: sqlwep-uni.mof
MOF file has been successfully parsed
    Storing data in the repository...
An error occurred while processing item 4 defined on lines 88 - 88 in file sqlwep-uni.mof:
    Error Number: 0x8004100e, Facility: WMI
    Description: Invalid namespace
    Compiler returned error 0x8004100e
    Any suggestions?

I think this can be fixed by parsing / registering the sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up mof file.
    Have a look here - http://blogs.msdn.com/echarran/archive/2006/01/03/509061.aspx
    Thanks, Leks
That was the first thing I tried :)
    I've also tried this: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sqltools/thread/468b8484-2729-4a06-bfc3-efe54507dcb6
    and this: http://msmvps.com/blogs/martinpoon/archive/2009/11/27/sql-server-configuration-manager-cannot-connect-to-wmi-provider-invalid-class-0x80041010.aspx
    and that: http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/Repair-WMI-Services.php
and some other stuff I could find.
At least I've tried to repair Sql 2008 installation. But it also did not work.
Lastly I've uninstalled all the instances and components related with sql. And I renamed the folders (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server and the hidden folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server) and made a clean install. Voila, it worked!
But the "Sql Server Configuration Manager"s icon has gone somewhere :) Anyway it works fine now.
I had to do that because I have a project to finish.
    Poor Microsoft!

  • Use case of FQDN parameter in CPPM -- Administration -- Server Configuration

Q: What is the difference between 'FQDN' & 'Hostname' parameter available in the ClearPass Server configuration?
A: The FQDN parameter is primarily used for SSO functionality with any external IDP servers. We can configure the VIP hostname of a ClearPass cluster to be the FQDN.
'Hostname' parameter in the Administration --> Server Configuration, does not need to be an FQDN. We can specify any user defined names. If we need to join the ClearPass cluster members to the same Active directory domain, then hostname should be different. Otherwise, it will create duplicate computer/machine accounts for ClearPass Server in the Domain Controller and may lead to PEAP-EAP-MSCHAPv2 authentication issues/failures for the clients against Active Directory.

You could use regular expressions to try to strip the "+" from your form variables but wouldn't it be easier to just have the select field display +5 and then just pass "5"  and not use the plus character in your database or in your passed variables?  Special characters in your passed variables is always a potential headache.

  • MARS 6.0.5 with ACS SE 4.2.1 both as an AAA authentication server and as a reporting device

    Hi all,
I want to use the ACS SE to authenticate MARS users. As per the User Guide: Admin -> System Setup -> Authentication Configuration -> AAA Server Configuration -> Add. I only have two options: "Add AAA server on new host" and "Add AAA server on existing host". There is no "Add AAA server on an ACS SE appliance" option. Ok, so I add an AAA server on a new host, using the IP address of the ACS SE as the access/reporting/interface IP. I add the "Generic AAA Server" application to the host, I add the AAA server as the primary AAA server in the "Authentication Method", I configure the MARS as a RADIUS client on the ACS SE, and everything works as expected. MARS users authenticate without any issues.
The problem is that I want to use the ACS SE as a reporting device, also.
I can not add it as an "ACS SE 4.x" device, because the reporting IP is already in use by the AAA host created earlier.
Another approach is to install the ACS SE Remote Agent on a computer, but I'm not sure how it works. Let me know if this is correct:
    - on the ACS SE, I don't configure syslog logging to the MARS appliance. Instead, I add the remote agent in the Network Configuration, and I configure remote logging to the remote agent
    - on the MARS appliance, I add the remote agent as an "ACS SE 4.x" device.
    - but then, how do I configure the remote agent to send syslog to the MARS?
    Does this sound right?
Another unrelated question: is there a way to use the SNMP agent inside CS ACS from MARS? There is no place to configure an SNMP community string neither under host configuration, nor under ACS SE 4.x configuration.
    Any help appreciated. Thanks!

You don't need to configure Remote Agent for logging from ACS SE to MARS. Remote Agent functionality is to send syslog messages to a windows host because ACS SE is an appliance which can't hold too many of the loggings as it grows. Remote Agent logging is also only supported on ACS SE.
You can log syslog messages directly from ACS SE to MARS as follows:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cs-mars/6.0/device/configuration/guide/cfgAaaSv.html#wp914601
This is the configuration on ACS SE:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cs-mars/6.0/device/configuration/guide/cfgAaaSv.html#wp914172
SNMP is not supported for ACS SE:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/security_management/cs-mars/6.0/compatibility/local_controller/dtlc60x.html#wp75381
Here is a little reading on Remote Agent for ACS SE:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_solution_engine/4.2/installation/guide/remote_agent/rawo.html
    Hope the above helps.

  • Failed to remove Authentication Server on Wireless LAN controller

Cisco WLC 2500, software version: 7.6.100.0
I tried to remove the decommissioned Authentication Server from WLC web GUI but got popup window saying:
"Authentication Server could not be deleted as it is being used by either a WLAN ...."
I double checked on GUI and configs (show run-config commands) and the Authentication Server was NOT used anywhere.
Plus, I am unable to change the IP address so I can re-purpose it.
    Any resolution?

    1. Save the configuration.
    2. Upload the Configuration to a computer.
    3. Edit the Config file in a Notepad and remove the RADIUS server IP address.
    4. Save the new file (do not override the backup, you may needed)
    5. Download the customized configuration file into the WLC.
    6. The WLC will automatically reboot.
    7. It will boot up with the new configuration file without the RADIUS server.

  • How NOT to edit SSIS dtsx packages manually to change config filter in SQL Server configuration schema

I have many packages that are using the package configuration with the following way:
-ALL Packages have the XML configuration file that has only one proporty defined. The ConnectionString of the SQL Server connection that holds the configuration table for the rest of the properties
-A SEPARATE SQL Server package configuration for
each connection manager in the package.
-Finally an SQL Server configuration for all the properties that are specific to this package.
I attach a pic of what i mean: Yellow is the XML config with the connectionstring, Blue the connectionamangers and purple the package specific.
So with this setup  i can:
-Change the xml file location and just point all the setup in another sql server or another database.
    - Or create different configuration filters in the same config table and try to go into the package and change the filter.
With all the above the problem is that if i do anything from within VS, i am loosing the password in the connectionstring because i am not using the encrypt property. And i dont want to use it...
What are my options? Just go in .dtsx with notepad and chage what i want BEFORE i open the package or before i deploy?
    Elias

    You are correct but:
-I dont want to use EncryptSensitiveWithPassword, so:
When i go to package configuration and try to change the ConfoigurationFilter to point to another setting then i am getting to the screen to select the property (connectionstring) and when i finish the DATABASE record for the setting is cleared from the
Password= that i have put previously.
So i short what i want:
    -No EncryptSensitiveWithPassword
-Being able to change configuration from within VS WITHOUT resetting the connectionstring string.
    Elias
Nope what you're asking is not possible
There's certainly a purpose why each of things are given in the current format
For design level settings you need to use connection manager properties and for it to persist values for someone other than creator to use you need to use protection level as EncryptSensitiveWithPassword
And for runtime settings you need to specify values in config which has to be editted from outside the package by editing dtsconfig file or using update query depending on whether config is stored in file/table. In both the cases you can identify password
as a separate config item and modify its value from outside. That will work regardless of what you chose as protection level
