CUCM 7.1 FAC for registered extension

Hello experts,
I have been requested to configured FAC (Forced Autorization Code) even for calls between CUCM registered extensions. This feature works just fine when dealing with extenal route-patterns but I have not found a way to make it work for internal extensions. Could you please instruct me how to accomplish this?

Well that´s the same question I asked, the only reason they gave is that they want the user assigned to an extension be the only one able to use it to whatever destination. I suggested CMC (even though I believe it does not work for internal extension either) but they want to force a code to be entered also for internal calls. Is there a workaround maybe with authentication to lock the phone.

I am really confused for registering CUC license to which mac-address. (CUCM or CUC)
I have CUCM be 5k on Server 7828 both CUCM and CUC is installed on same server. For CUCM i got the mac address from show status, but how about registering the license to CUC it should be registered on same CUCM Mac address or CUC has different mac-address.
I uploaded the licenses in CUCM and need to upload the license in CUC.

MAC address changes should NOT effect the BI 4 server in any way, everything binds to the Server Name & IP Address.

Configuring button assignments for Jabber extensions

Hi,
I'm using a UC560 and configured jabber for some iPhones. To avoid confusion, I moved the old numbers from the employees' desk phones to their new Jabber devices and assigned new dn's to the desk phones. So when someone is calling an employee that uses Jabber, they still dial the old numbers and either the target iPhone rings, or the call is forwarded to the respective desk phone of the desired employee, when the Jabber extension isn't registered. (Call Forward Unregister)
I'm currently installing 500S extensions for some users and need to assign buttons for those Jabber extensions.
The problem is, that the button assigments are configured using the ephone-dns (e.g. button 5w598), but Jabber extensions don't have a ephone-dn, since they are configured via "voice register dn / pool".
So how do I assign those Jabber extensions to buttons on the phone/ 500S extension? (I guess I'll have to use floating extensions, if there now way to configure them directly...)
EDIT: I've just realised, that assigning the jabber extensions to the button would create another problem - the status LED of the button would be useless in case the employee is working using his desk phone. Are shared lines possible for jabber extensions? (As far as i remember, the "desk phone integration" feature is currently not available for CME).

I don't get how this could not be considered a handy feature. In a company with teleworkers it's obvious that a receptionist needs to know who is available i.e. which jabber users are registered on the call manager. (Isn't a unregistered jabber user just the same as a disconnected phone?!)

What is the replacement for design view in in flex builder 4.7 for cs extension builder?

Because design view is not available in flash builder than what is the use of extension builder in UI designing now we have to do design UI with xml which is very time consuming and boring if there is any replacemnt for it than please help me .1 more thing i want to know is that when i make new default project in extension builder(flash builder 4.6) than it also not able to load design mode errror is

I have researched this quite considerably and my understanding is that Adobe have no intention of supporting Design View any more for Extension Builder. In my opinion a very disappointing decision and one that is hard to comprehend.
The best workaround I can find is to create the majority of your design in a parallel, non Extension Builder, project and then convert/import your design into your Extension. This is by no means as satisfactory as having Design View for the Extension you are writing but it is better than simply creating your layout by guess work/trial and error.
Although this has not been announced by Adobe, I have a suspicion that the reason they have decided not to put any further resources into fixing Design View is that Extension Builder as we know it is going to be abandoned soon, probably replaced with an HTML5/JavaScript method of building extensions. My concern with this is that, other than wanting reassurances that there will be backward compatibility support for old extensions, There will not be a way of compiling an extension in a way that prevents people from seeing your code.
This is all speculation and I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. Hope this has helped.

Attachment in UWL is opening except for .TXT extension file

The attachment in the workitem is oppening in SBWP for all file extensions, For the same workitem in UWL its not oppening. It opens only for .TXT extension files. Please advise how to fix this error.

What is the UWLJWF version that you are working with? There were patch fixes on the UWLJWF component in regards to attachments, and if you let me know your UWLJWF full version, I can let you know what patch fixes this issue.

Faces for tags or keywords?

I was big on tagging on my pc. In iPhoto I assign a keyword for each name in each photo and it gives me the same result, I can search for that name and I see all pictures, I also assign a keyword if it is a specific event like : Emily Xmas 09. So what are faces for? Wong it give me the same result. Do I need to use faces?

Exactly as Karsten writes.
I also got the impression that it was like in iPhoto - it's not.
It only separate clips with people from clips without faces. So that it will be easier
to find populated clips or sceneries (clip without faces)
BTW - Animation - doesn't have anything to do with animation either (I thought it had)
It's a tool to input an animation into the Story-board function to later be replaced with a video-clip.
I hoped on something that helped me to animate a cartoon or a black fieal to hide identity.
How wrong I was.
Still iM'11 is a small step up towards iMovie HD6.

Is it possible to create formatted text field for file extension like it should accept *.bmp, .bmp, bmp. etc..... It is not necssary to be a Combo Box. TextField will work.

Yes, there is a purpose. They provide functions not available in Safari otherwise. You should click on the Extensions option under Safari's Safari menu to see what's available.
It is OK to turn off Extensions in Safari's preferences.

Looking for an extension, or...

I'm looking for an extension, but if there isn't one that does what I need, then prehaps somebody would have an alternate method to accomplish what I need...
I create Sprite Based animations. I have an animation I'm working on that has 5 characters in it, and each character has something like 100-150 individual sprites (PNG images) that make up their actions and movements. (such as walk_step_1_no_weapon.png, walk_step_2_no_weapon.png, walk_step_1_with_weapon.png, walk_step_2_with_weapon.png, etc...) However, importing all these, tracing them, creating a new symbol, then deleting the original image individually is a painfully teduious and time consuming task.
I'd like some way I can import 100 (or any number within reason) images, and on each one of them trace it, create a new symbol from the trace output, name it, and then delete the original PNG image. I'd also like to import them into specific folder structures within the symbol library.
Does anyone know of an extension that can do this? If not, does anyone know of a way to actually do this?

It's apparent that there is no extension that provides this functionality, nor can I find a better alternative. So because of that, perhpas I should look into making my own extension, but have no idea how to go about creating an extension. Is there documentation somewhere on what it takes to create an extension? Can I create one using C# and .NET?

At this time we do not have a comprehensive M Series RLP manual available. I was not aware of any plans to deliver this document last month, so you may have been given some incorrect information, in which case I apologize. Currently, we provide the register map along with several examples showing how to program the boards for different types of operations. If you have any specific questions, you can post them to this forum where our developers and other customers can help out. I hope this helps.
