CUCM 8.6 WEBADMIN ERROR

Hi,
I have a CUCM version 8.6. It was working fine for a couple of month and then suddenly one day there is the below error.
Command Line Interface is starting up, please wait ...
Welcome to the Platform Command Line Interface
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""

The phone are registering. I can even see the opening page which says installed products. But after I click on CUCM it shows me a blank page. the url for the blank page is
https://<ip add of cucm>:8443/ccmadmin/showHome.do
The CLI is frozen after the above message is displayed. I tried to SSH into the machine. Same problem. I tried searching supportforums.cisco.com for a similar issue. Did not find one. In case such a case exists, do point me out in that direction.

Hi Javalenc
Thanks for your reply. well I am telling you from the scratch. I am installing this first time so may be .
1- I have my desktop Dual core when my ESXi 5.0 installed (60 days trail version)

  • CUCM 9.1 SIP Error 503

    Dear Community Members
I have CUCM 9.1 and 3rdparty IP GSM gateway which is connected to CUCM via SIP Trunk. When I try to make a call through it the trace show me error 503 on CUCM, but, the GSM Gateway does not show any activity about this call. When I do a call to GSM Gateway directly from any SIP softphone I see the SIP Invite messages on the GSM Gateway packet traces.
    What can be the issue?

    Hi Chris,
The local dial from Lync you mean is the external call?
If so, what is the call flow? Lync---sip---CUCM---Gateway (GW)??? what is the GW type?
may be, we can collect the debug from GW and check who is disconnecting the call and why?
does the local dial from cisco phone work?

  • CUCM 7.0 Suscriber Error!!!!

    Hello Guys,
I keep getting this error below when I try to install the subscriber on a CUCM 7.0 cluster. What is going on here????
Unable to set the system clock using the NTP server on the first node in the cluster.
Verify that this node was added to the server list in the CUCM admin System>Server.

Here are a few tips to make sure that your Subscriber can synchronize its clock to the Publisher via NTP. If during the addition of the Subsequent node (aka Subscriber) the NTP synchronization does not succeed, the Subscriber's installation will quit with an error (which happens almost all the way towards the end of the installation, so every time you will have wasted plenty of time before this happens). Additionally, if you try to power up the Subscriber after this error occurs, you will get a message that the installation did not succeed, and that you need to start over. Thank you Cisco!
Now, this is what you need to do to avoid this:
    1. Your Publisher must meet one of the two conditions:
    a. If your Publisher is configured to synchronize its clock via NTP with an NTP server, the clock must be successfully synchronized. If the Publisher's clock was successfully synchronized with the NTP server at one point, but the Publisher is no longer getting its clock from the NTP server at the time when you are trying to add a Subsequent node to the cluster, the Subscriber's installation will error out. To make sure that your Publisher is getting its clock from the NTP server, use the following CLI command: utils ntp status The output of this command will clearly say if the Publisher is synchronized to NTP server and the stratum.
    b. If you do not have an active NTP server on the network - you are on an isolated network in the lab or this is a VMWare environment, then do not set your Publisher to synchronize to an NTP server. Instead, set it for its internal clock. You can do this by logging in to Cisco Unified Operating System Administration and navigating to Settings -> NTP Servers. Here, you will have to delete all NTP servers and then you can navigate to Settings -> Time and set the internal clock to the current time.
If you make sure that either of the aforementioned conditions - (a) or (b) - is met, you will have no problems adding a Subsequent node to the cluster, that is when working with physical hardware. However, if you are running one or both servers - Publisher and Subscriber - in VMWare, there is something else you must do. By default, VMWare configures a virtual machine to synchronize its clock with the clock of the hardware server on which the hypervisor is running. This is true for VMWare Fusion and VMWare ESXi. I am not sure about VMWare Workstation and VMWare Server, but I could bet some serious money that it is the case with those two products as well. The strange thing is that whereas in VMWare Fusion, the VM's clock is always configured to synchronize with the Mac on which it is running, in VMWare ESXi, the clock synchronization with the physical server is a hit or miss. I cannot figure out when ESXi decides to enable this feature and when to disable it. So, to be on the safe side, open the .vmx file for your VM and make sure that the following line is contained anywhere in that file: tools.syncTime = "false" alternatively, the syntax could be: tools.syncTime = "FALSE" or perhaps even tools.syncTime = "0" I have seen all three versions with the lower case in quotation marks used by ESXi, and the upper case used by Fusion. I believe that all VMWare versions understand any variation in the syntax of this command, though. If your .vmx file has the following command: tools.syncTime = "true" or tools.syncTime = "TRUE" or even tools.syncTime = "1", you will have to modify it. If your .vmx file does not contain this command at all, you will have to add it like this: tools.syncTime = "false" or use any variation of the syntax shown above.
Once you have added this command to your .vmx file, save the file and place it back where it belongs - in your VM's folder. You must do this on both servers - the Publisher and the Subscriber. On the Publisher, you will have to power down the VM, make the change in the .vmx file, and then power up the VM again - there is no need to reinstall the Publisher. On the Subscriber, this MUST be done after you have created the VM and BEFORE you start the Configuration Wizard on this Subscriber. If you have installed the Subscriber on the VM but skipped the Configuration Wizard, you can power down the Subscriber, make this change in its .vmx file, save the .vmx file, power up the Subscriber, and then run the Configuraiton Wizard. You should have no problems adding the Subscriber to the cluster at this point.
By the way, to follow up on my post of last night, I was able to add my Subscriber to the cluster with both the Publisher and the Subscriber running in VMWare ESXi 4.0U1. I would still like to know why I am getting that error every time I try to add a Subscriber, but it seems that when I retry the same step after I get the error (without having to restart the installation), the installation succeeds (sometimes).

  • CUCM 5.1.2 error code 1001

    Dear Expert,
We have a Customer who is using CUCM 5.1.2 which Cisco does not support anymore. My customer logs in to CDR Analysis and Reporting monthly to retrieve call usage for every extension in the system. The customer goes to https://cucm/car and go to User Reports > Bills > Departments to do that.
However, for the period from 1 Sept 2013 to 30 Sept 2013, the CAR returned an error message saying CDR data is only available up to 28 September 2013. This is the first time it happens, the customer has been doing this for years and they never have this problem.
I then went on and disble the CDR Enabled Flag parameter, restarted the following services: Cisco CDR Agent, Cisco Database Layer Monitor, Cisco CDR Repository Manager, Cisco CAR Scheduler, Cisco SOAP - CDRonDemand Service, Cisco CAR Web Service, and re-enabled the CDR Enabled Flag parameter, hoping it would fix the issue. Unfortunately, after I did the above, I'm now encoutering Error Code 1001 when trying to access
User Reports > Bills > Departments:
I've done some research on the error code but could not find anything relevant.
This is a very important function of my customer and it needs to be fixed. Cisco already refused to help. Could you please shed some lights on the issue?
    Thanks and regards,
    Nhan.

    Hi Nhan,
Please check the following two bugs which are applicable to your version and try the workarounds listed
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsm34263
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsk76737
Please note that the 'Reload all cdr' option listed in second bug will load only the cdr data for last 30 days and delete all prior data.

  • CUCM 10 Install Subscriber Error

    Hi All,
I have plan to install  CUCM 10 in 2 sites :
    - sites A : Publiser , Subscriber 1
    - sites B : Subscriber 2 , Subscriber 3
When I Install in Sites A there is no problem , but when i Install in Sites B for Subscriber 2 and Subscriber 3 there is always this error :
I had try using ova template from different sites and installer , but no result ,
    any help ?
    Best Regards,
    Tommy

    Hi Tommy,
did you already upgrade to the fixed version on pub & sub 1 ?
if you already upgrade from v10.0.1.10000-24 to v10.0.1.11006.1 on publisher & sub1, before you install subs 2 & 3, you must install first cucm v10.0.1.10000-24 and then you choose the patch menu when the starting CUCM installer. and then you put the ISO fixed version v10.0.1.11006.1 into DVD.
some error interrupt when installing the secondary node on cucm because the primary node having 2 version active & incative CUCM after doing upgraded. you need make it same version on secondary node.
you can contact me with YM : biemabbit
to make sure this problem clearly :)
    Regards,
    Habibi

  • CUCM returns internal service error for un-allocated numbers

    Setup...
    ITSP----sip---CUBE1------sip----CUCM
         ------sip----CUBE2-----sip---CUCM
Calls come in via the ITSP to CUBE via SIP. CUBE then send the call to CUCM via sip signalling. This call is matched to a xlation pattern in CUCM, which then xlates the called number to an internal extension.
The issue that was brough to my attention recently is that when users dial an unallocated number within the DDI range, the calls go into a loop. So I pulled up the traces and to my horror, CUCM doesnt send un allocated/un assigned number back to CUBE rather cucm sends an internal service error...Hence CUBE continues to another dial-peer which matches the secondary CUCM and then finally tries another dial-peer which is for outbound calls to the ITSP. As a result of this, ITSP sends the call back to our CUBES and the call goes into a loop...An excerpt of the trace is shown below:

Question is why such a behaviour by CUCM. Is it because the call is sent to a xlation pattern first..Any remedies?
    Please rate all useful posts
"opportunity is a haughty goddess who waste no time with those who are unprepared"

This is for the benefit of anyone who experience a similar issue like this..
Cisco CUCM and CUBE by default do not drop a call when it receives a 486  busy, 404 not found or out of bandwidth. They reroute for all cause codes other than Out of Bandwidth, User Busy, and Unallocated Number.
For CUCM, the value of the associated service parameters for the Cisco Call Manager service determines the rerouting decision for those cause codes. The Cluster wide Parameters (Route Plan) : Stop Routing on Out of Bandwidth Flag, Stop Routing on User Busy Flag, and Stop Routing on Unallocated Number Flag service parameters, determines what re-routing decision happens in this scenario.
All well and good fro CUCM, but what about CUBE...
We can also tell CUBE what to do in this circumstances just as with CUCM. The magic is to use the voice hunt command
    #conf t
    no voice hunt unassigned-number
    no voice hunt invalid-number
    no voice hunt user-busy

  • CUCM 8.6 - Unified CM Rhosts error message

    Hi Guys,
My Customer verified in CUCM reports a message error about the Rhosts. "The rhost file on x.x.x.x does not match the publisher". I verified that the restart about the A Cisco DB will be solve the problem. Is correct my analysis? If yes, what is the impact in restart this service? I believe that is more recommendad to do in window maitenance.
    Thanks,
    Wilson

    Hi Wilson,
Your analysis is correct. You should restart the A Cisco DB service in off hours if possible, although i have seen that it does not cause any issues even during production hours most of the times. If the issue persists after restart then you should contact TAC, as in a few cases they require root access to change the rhosts , so that they are the same on all the servers.

  • CUCM Syslog Message ISSUE (kernel: Exceeded hashlimit)

    Hello.
Our Customer using CUCM 9.0 (PUB :1 , Sub : 4) and 4 Voice Gateway Cisco 3945 (16 E1 PRI per each Gateway)
CUCMs have problem with syslog messages.
I saw these messages in rtmt syslog
    - kernel:  Exceeded hashlimit IN=bond0 OUT= MAC=34:40:b5:d5:63:e8:1c:e6:c7:52:44:40:08:00 SRC=130.1.254.27 DST=130.1.13.11 LEN=204 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=246 ID=19646 PROTO=UDP SPT=19200 DPT=30546 LEN=184

What's the problem with these messages ?
And how can I solve this problem
    Thanks.

I used to have the same problem, it was a sip trunk against to one CME, just reset the sip trunk in CUCM it fixed the error. it is because the end poing is sending a lot of requests to CUCM

  • Route Pattern CSV File Removes "0" from Called Party Prefix Digits Field

I want to upload over 350 route patterns using BAT Tool in CUCM 9.1. All patterns must have their Called Party Prefix Digits (Outgoing Calls) Field containing 10 numbers with the number "0" at the begining. The Problem is the CSV file removes the leading "0" form the digits. I tried to make the cell type in Excel as "Text" and it worked and the "0" is kept normally, but when I save and close the file then open it again, the cell is defaulted to "General" type and the "0" is disappeared again! Changing the CSV file format to any other one and uploading it to CUCM system generates an error stating that the file format is not supported.
Attached is a sample entry of the CSV file. I want to preserve the whole number "0541234567" in "PREFIX_DIGITS_CALLED_PARTY" Field.
Anyone can help me how to upload this big number of route patterns while preserving the number "0" at the begining?

Make sure you change the csv file when using Excel to "Text" on the cell where the string starts with 0, otherwise Excel assumes this is a number and strips it.

  • Enterprise License Manager Sync Problem

    Hi.
I have CUCM 9.1 & Enterprise License Manager. I have installed licenses on Enterprise License Manager and in inventory added CUCM.
Everyting worked fine for 20 days, but from yesterday CUCM  is showing below error:-
"The system has not synchronized successfully with Enterprise License Manager for 7 days. If successful synchronization does not occur within the next 53 days, you will no longer be able to provision users and devices."
In Enterprise license manager CUCM status is "Registration Conflict". It also show :-"This product instance is already being managed by another Enterprise License Manager. Product Instances can only be managed by a single Enterprise License Manager. To manage the product instance with this Enterprise License Manager, delete it from this and the other Enterprise License Manager, and then add it to this one."
Also below message is displayed in Enterprise License Manager:-
"Enterprise License Manager is operating in demo mode. Install licenses to cover the licensing requirements of your product instances in order to avoid losing functionality in those products."
Please help to solve this problem.
    Regards,
    Andy

    Hi Neo,
I have never tried but recommended would be to go for maintenance window.
Further, the message posted says The system has not synchronized successfully with Enterprise License Manager for 7 days. If successful synchronization does not occur within the next 53 days, you will no longer be able to provision users and devices.
This means it can be done but why to take a chance.

  • Error while updating phone button template in CUCM 8.6

    Experts,
    I'm getting following error while updating phone button template in CUCM 8.6;
Update failed. java.sql.SQLException: System catalog (sysprocbody) corrupted.
Please check the screen shot attached here with.
    What could be the reason?
    Thanks

I'm not a Cisco employee, so I can't do anything with your backup.!
You need to take a backup as a precaution (You should have been doing this anyway) Then you need to call Cisco TAC to get the underlying problem fixed. CalManager is a locked-down environment, and only TAC can get the low-level access needed to fix database problems.
