CUCM_UNRST_8.6.2.10000-14 on VMWare
Questions :
- There is no advance features -> VPN
is that something that not availabile on demo license ?

The newer versions of the Security guide do show this caveat/restriction
Note The VPN menu and its options are not available in the U.S. export unrestricted version of Cisco Unified Communications Manager. We see from above that you have installed the unrestricted version so this is why you are hitting this;

Hi! My site is basically based on providing share market tips covering finance market. The site was recently migrated from the old look to a new look for a professional view. To make the home page wear a professional look, I am displaying a video like screen for news headlines organising images into jquery effect. But what I experienced so far this jquery effect is slowing down the home page at the time of loading (plz refer the screen shot below). You can check it at Puntercalls Homepage . I'm sure if I embed the normal flash feature in palce of this jquery, it must slow down than the former.
So what I exactly want to know is if there is any advanced feature of Adobe Flash by which the homepage won't slow down while loading.
Kind suggestions are greatly appreciated in advance!

If you just want to change the way that the photo section works, then, it is most likely that a Flash version of the photo display might be smoother and faster to play than the jquery version that you are now using. Its difficult to guarantee a result. You have 10 css libraries and 8 js libraries that are called along with a good bit of inline js that is running on this site. So it will be difficult to say how quickly or smoothly a Flash .swf file will download and play.
I'm guessing that Flash will be faster, but then I also think that going door to door and handing people a print of the photo would be faster than the jquery file that is running. You may want to look at the possible interference that you have on the current site between the various js and css files that are trying to display the content.

CUCM 8.6 VPN Advance Feature Missing

As per the title, i have installed Cisco UCM 8.6. I am deploying SSL VPN on the router and Cisco IP-Phones as SSL client to be connected to CUCM.
I cannot find any VPN service/feature in CUCM 8.6 which i have recently installed. There is no VPN option under Advance features under CUCM OS administration. Also during issuer cert upload, there is no Phone-VPN-Trust.
Either i am missing a license feature here or might be some thing to do with Demo. Can one kindly assist me this .Regards.

I'm very limited by the current test search features. And I'd like to see some advanced features like:
1) I HATE that the find bar disappears all the time. I would like it to be visible all the time -- not disappear when I change tabs, or open a new tab.
2) I HATE that the toolbar is on the bottom and not the top. All my work is done around the top of the window and when I need to enter a something in the find box I have to go to the bottom... very inefficient.
3) I would like to search for multiple words at the same time. Currently if there's multiple words that I'm searching for in multiple tabs, I have to type in each word individually for each tab. I'm in the process of searching for five word in 20+ tabs... you do the math. Even if I could enter: oneword OR twoword OR threeword OR fourword OR fiveword... this would be very helpful.
4) The nicest feature of all would be: the ability to highlight multiple links in a webpage and then get firefox-addon to search all the links for any of, and all of, the requested words (ie. oneword, twoword, threeword, etc) This would save me hours and hours of keying in words. AND please note: searching a specific site with google site does not work in most cases as it is not specific enough or Google is for some reason not able to search the site (the site must somehow be search while hidden from the user and then opened in a tab if there are any results -- and I would like the results highlighted).
I have been wanting this for years and am very surprised that nothing like this has been developed... maybe it's not possible to do? (But I doubt is, as I've see greasemonkey scripts that have done similar things...)

One of the problems with finding an addon like this is that I wasn't using the correct search term. I found that if I use "findbar", there are several results. Currently I'm trying out Findbar Tweak. It seems to have a few good options -- that are similar to my wishlist above. But right now I'm finding also that some of the options cause problems, some of which almost freeze Firefox... hopefully the developer will be able to improve a few of these things -- a new version hasn't been released for nearly a year. :(

I am planning to upgrade my existing sql server 2008 SP2 to sql server 2008 R2, before that i need the advantages to proceed , if the advantages are not suite to my requirements then i will drop out this option.

Scanning Software With Advanced Features

I am looking for a scanning software package that has more advanced features compared to the scanning software package included with my all in one. I have looked for a more advanced scanning software package on the software CD included with the all in one as well as on the HP web site and have not found anything.
Does HP make a more advanced scanning software package than the one inclulded with the all in one? I am thinking of a program that is similar to VueScan from Hamrick Software. I might just have to shell out the money if HP does not make a nicer scanning program.

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I understand you are interested in a Scanning program that offers more options then what is available with the HP Software that was included with your HP Officejet Pro 8610. Unfortunately HP does not have anything like that available.
I was able to Google 3rd party Scanning software and there were many options, I guess it depends on what it is you are interested in doing.

Recommendations - books and tutorials on advanced features.

Dear members:
While reading a few books on presentations over the weekend I became quite interested in using some advanced features and animations to enhance my presentations. The books I've read mention these advanced animations but do not give the technical details on how to get them done.
Is there a book (or maybe books) I can read that would cover advanced techniques in Keynote including advanced animation options ? What about tutorial ? Everything I have found only seems to cover the basic.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have tried the Apple Training Series before and really don't like the format they have adopted. The books in these series try to simulate a class where you have to read and then do some exercise on your computer. This may work well for others but I find it quite difficult annoying to follow this format.
They type of effects I am trying to implement include type effects, transitions (both object transitions and slide transitions) and visual special effects.
I just recently read "Slideology" which is authored by Nancy Duarte, CEO of Duarte Design and the one who designed the entire presentation used by Al Gore for his movie and presentations "An Inconvenience Truth". She describes on this book transitions that she created with text (not for An Inconvenient Truth but another presentation) so that as attendees would walk into the room they would be greeted by this text special effect on the screen. This section appears on page 154 and is titled "Playing Text Animations as the Audience Enters".
This is just a sample of the type of information I am looking for. I haven't even been able to create reflection for text in Keynote let alone any type of interesting special effects for text.
I am looking for books that go beyond the texts offered by Apple to cover basic topics and dive deeper into advanced effects and tricks such as the one above.
Do you have any idea of where I can find information on advanced techniques in Keynote ?

Auto Advance Feature

My client wants me to create a welcome screen that'll play a short video animation of their logo before automatically loading the first article in their app.
Can you animate the loading screen?
Is there some sort of auto advance feature? Or ideas on how some of you would accomplish this. Here's a quick vid to show what I'm talking about.

AFAIK, there is no way to animate the "loading screen". The only way to simulate this would be to have the animation or video on the first screen of the first article, set to auto-play. And then you could have the "content" that you want to appear after the video is finished in an Multi-state object slideshow that "plays" after the video is finished.

LMS advance features configuration

Hi Experts,
i am working on one network where i have to configure the LMS 4.1 version. I installed LMS sucessfully and can view devices on it (2 routers, core and access switches but i can see the firewall)
I can see all the traps and links information, moreover vlans and VTP information also.
I have to achieve the following task in LMS
Display of all devices on LMS IP telephony (as it support CDP) and Cameras (as it support SNMP)
Configuration of VLANS & Ports from LMS software, like if i click on port i should be able to change its vlan or creating of new vlans on core switch
Configuration of EVN from LMS, not sure if its supported but need any advices
Updating VLANS on LMS when created on core switch,
Live Graphs on LMS, want to know where i can configure this feature.
Help regarding this issue is highly appriciated.

Enable advanced features in Adobe Reader

The Adobe Acrobat 8.0 upgrade enables advanced features in Adobe Reader to a limited number of users.
Does the LiveCycle Designer 8.0 that comes with Acrobat 8.0 also have this option?

You cannot add the usage rights from LiveCycle Designer. You have to save the form as a PDF then open it in Acrobat and add the usage rights.

It appears that iPad does not retain information from prior years - appointments, etc. Valuable info is lost unless there is an archive feature that I cannot find.

Producing musicals, I wish there was a "chunk" feature like in DP

Hi guys, especially iSchwartz, Jim, Rohan...
This is another day I wished there was a chunk feature like in DP.
Maybe you have a few tips for me.
I'm doing a recording of another musical: lots of songs, lots of dialogues, lots of special effects.
It would be so easy if I just could put the whole Arrangement together, including all songs, and if it would be possible to mix the songs in the "master arrangement" which includes all the dialogues and other fancy things.
They way I do it, is to mix each song seperately and import the bounced file to the master arrangement. And, as you know, they never fit together. The story acts in different locations and yeah, I choosed the wrong reverb again...the sound does not fit into the location where it takes place. So I have to remix and import the remixed file and hope that its ok now.
Its so long-winded.
I tried DP once but I didn't like the interface and I don't have the time to switch. Is there a trick maybe, that I should know?
I should mention, many of the songs are recorded to click.

gliderproarc: toucktracks do not work for my purposes. They do playback samples, not arrangements.
Eriksimon: the arrangements contain audio and midi, but I bounced all the midi to audio files within the arrangements.
ashermusic: Do you know more about how that feature works in DP. Especially when using a UAD or powercore, will the plug-ins used in the "master arrangement" be occupied or are the dsps free for use within the "chunk"-arrangements?
I mean, when I have twenty arrangements and each contains six Powercore ore UAD plug-ins...how does DP handle the dsp resources.
LogicMaster: Unfortunately it seems to be very complicated to work with folders, if the songs contain different tempo, tempo changes and automation. You cannot easily move these folders around in the "master arrangement".

I would trash - iMovie pref file - and re-try - sounds like this got faulty.
• Delete iMovie pref. file. iMovie pref. file resides.
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD) / Users / "Your account" / Library / Preferences
and is named. (one or more of these)
com.apple.iMovie.plist
com.apple.iMovie3.plist
com.apple.iMovie7.plist
com.apple.iMovie8.plist
com.apple.iMovie9.plist
com.apple.iMovieApp.plist
and find
com.apple.iApps.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
If You run Mac OS X.7 or more - then the Library in the User-account folder is invisibly and need to be set to be viewable. IT IS NOT in the Library on Root level (when opening MacintoshHD - first window = root level)
( It can be done like this: Open Terminal, then enter:
chflags nohidden ~/Library (exactly like this - space included)
Press return, then restart, and it will always be visible until the next major update, when you do the same thing again. )

Welcome to apple discussions. I use Toast (personal choice only) in this situation since it has a play all check box. But then you don't get the fancy menus.

There is no such check box within iDvd for selecting play all but you can set up iDvd's preferences to address scene selection menus when a movie/s is added. And here's how you do that:
A second option might involve adding the 8 separate movies to the slideshow feature within iDvd for continuous play. And yes you can add photos as well as movies to idvd's slideshow feature with a number of added benefits which I won't go into here. But if you want more info on this procedure just look at a few of Old Toad's prior posts / replies on this iDvd forum.

Infrastructure for installing advanced features like RAC, ASM and DataGuard

I have been working in Oracle for an year now and would like to start working on advanced features like ASM, DataGuard and RAC. Currently I use a 32bit laptop with OEL6.3 installed with 4GB RAM. Is this system sufficient to install and practice ASM, DataGuard and RAC. To be more specific I would like to know whether 32bit would suffice OR I need a 64bit system for this?

I'd say you are pushing it.
These features are usually used in multi-server environments.
You could work with multiple VM's, but 4 GB sounds very limited.
I had a quick look at introduction to the Data Guard Hands On Lab, and it seems it's hosted in the Amazon Cloud.
