CUCM 9.1.2 SUB DRF LOCAL IS DOWN

Hello,
I am having a problem backup my cluster  .
When enter the disaster recovery system everything is slow (most of the time )
Some times I get this message
"Unable to process request, master agent is busy"
In addition the service DRF local in the sub is "down"
after restart the service is up only for few minutes .
I found this post
https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12070896/drf-local-service-stops-subscriber
but I am no sure this is same problem and didn't understand completely.
Any ideas ?
Thank you ,

  • CUCM 8.6.2.20000 Pub & Sub DRF Local never starts when servers started

Anyone ever seen this? I'm running CUCM 8.6.2.20000 in my lab on Esxi5 VM's. Every time I gracefully shutdown the Pub and Sub, and turn them back on (this is a lab, hence the multiple on/offs) both Pub and Sub DRF local services never start. Never. DRF master starts, but not the two locals. I have to manually start them each and every time. Once they are started, no problems.

    Hi,
Can you check whether you have any expired CAPF certificates in CUCM OS Admin page --> Security -- > Certificate management. If you do have you can delete the expired certs after confirming that there are valid certs available on the same page. Restart CAPF service after that.
We could also find the exact cause from the DRF local logs
    Thanks,

  • DRF Local service stops on subscriber

We have a cluster of two CUCM 9.1 and have noticed that the service Cisco DRF Local on the subscriber fails by it self.
If we start the service manualy then we are able to backup the subscriber but some time after that the service would fail. When this happens our scheduled backup does not work. There is no problem with the backup of the Publisher.
Not sure if important but the cluster was upgraded from CUCM 7.1.5 using jump upgrade procedure.
Does anyone have an idea what could cause this or how to troubleshoot?
    Regards.

    Hi,
First cross-check the serial numbers of ipsec-trust  in all servers in a cluster.
    follow the procedure
    a.  take a backup of the ipsec.pem certificate on the Publisher
b  Take a backup of the ipsec-trust certificate that has the CUCM Publisher name, from both Publisher and Subscribers in a cluster.
    c.  Regenerate the ipsec.trust certificate on the Publisher
    Hope this helps.

  • FTP Sub Command: Local Error with EasyDMS

We have been using DMS for several years.  We have a vault setup and are able the checkin files with FTP via SAPGUI with no problems.  Recently we have been looking at EasyDMS.  We have it installed and can login ok.  When we try to drag a file into the windows explorer the popup appears and we can enter the META data.  When the file is checkin via FTP we get FTP Sub Command: Local Error.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Tom,
We have encountered the exact same siituation with EasyDMS, we currently have had an OSS call to SAP for 2 weeks that ended up with the developers in Germany and bouncing the issue back to technical support and stating that they have no idea!
We are also interested in an answer, sorry I can't help you, but you are not alone.

  • Percentage of Phones won't register after CUCM 9.1.2 Sub and TFTP failover

Hoping this has happened to someone else and they can shed some light on the subject.  I have a CUCM 9.1.2 cluster running, pub, 2 subs, and 2 tftp servers.  At the moment it's a small deployment so I have all phones registered to sub 01 as primary and using tftp01 as the primary tftp server.  In order to have some VMWare maintenance done I recently shut down the pub, primary sub and primary tftp server forcing the phones to use the other half of the cluster.  Everything there worked as expected, phones failed over, etc.  The problem occurred after the VMWare maintenance was done.  At that point I brought up the Pub and the primary sub (maintenance wasn't yet completed on the host that contained the primary tftp server).  After the primary sub was up and back online is where the problem started.  Random phones (all 8945 SIP that are all running the same firmware version SIP8941_8945.9-3-2-12) would just not register.  Some of them would show registered in CUCM, however they were non-functional as DNs weren't displayed, no dial tone, etc. Others would just not register all together.  In order to get a phone to register I had to perform a factory reset on the physical phone, if I did that they came back with no problem.  Later after the maintenance was completed on the host that contained the primary tftp server and I brought that back online, I still had issues with phones however just a power cycle was enough to get those phones registered.  I opened a TAC case one this but it ended up at packet captures and at that point ever phone I reset would just register correctly so I could never get an example of a phone that wouldn't register.
I'm convinced it's certificate related and having to do with the trust list, which is why I believe the factory reset on the phone would allow the phone to correctly register.  There just doesn't seem to be any clear indication as to why it would be certificate related.  Names weren't changed on any of the UC servers, VMWare version was upgraded from 5.0 to 5.1 but I can't see how that would have caused certificate issues.
Any help would be grateful or if this has also happened to anyone I'd love to hear what you did to resolve this as for future maintenance windows I have to be confident that phones will be able to fail over between cluster nodes.
    Thank you,
    Alex

So the phone is unable to authenticate the ITL it is getting or the new config file.  This could mean that the ITL is corrupt on one of the nodes or that TVS isn't working properly.
I would try running "show itl" on each node and check the bottom of the output to see if the ITL is verified successfully.
I would also make sure TVS is running on all nodes okay.
You also should be able to just delete the ITL from the affected phones rather than doing a full factory reset in case this comes up again.

  • On Click Open a Sub report in Drill down with SSRS 2008

Please give a example in SSRS 2008 In which On Click a DrillDown Report , A sub report will be open with other details, and the Export to Excel and PDF is in the correct format. Thanks Santosh

    Hi Santoshsp,
There is no too much difference in SSRS2008 comparing to SSRS2005, for detail steps, please refer to below:
    1. Right-click the detail row on the Main report, and then select Insert Row->Inside Group-Below
    2. Merge the new row, and the drap your subreport into this merged textbox.
    3. Right-click the whole subreport row, then select Tablix Properties.
    4. Move to Visibiblity tab, click the Hide option and the Checkbox of
Display can be toggled by this report Item
    5. Select one toggle item based on your requirement. Such as we could select the datafield on the detail row.
    6. Right-click the subreport control and then select Subreport Properties.
    7. Select the subreport name in the drop-down list.
    8. If the subreport contain parameters, you should move to the Parameter tab on the Subreport Properties dialog box, for this point you could refer to this link
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms160348(SQL.100).aspx

  • How to Avoid Printing the data twice when the sub report has drill down?

    Hello,
I have a sub report that has drill down which is placed in report footer. When i run the report sub report displays the data but when i tried to drill down it displays the same data again. After that i can able to drill down on sub report. Is there any way to avoid
    printing the same data twice.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
If the subreport you're referring to does not grow in size and it does not span multiple pages and you know the size of it, here's what you can do to stop drilling into subreports :
    1) Create a text object as large as the subreport (perhaps bigger than it) and fill it with spaces or new lines
    2) Place it 'over' the subreport such that it covers the entire area occupied by the subreport
    3) The subreport at all times should be smaller than the text object in all dimensions
Now, when you hover the mouse over the subreport, there isn't any magnifying glass for you to drill down into.
If the subreport has further drill-down functionality, then this isn't for you! Because, it just wouldn't allow you click on any objects in the subreport because of the text object eclipsing it. This is the only workaround I know at this point in time and I know a lot of users are looking for this.
I would suggest that you log this as an Enhancement Request at http://ideas.sap.com for our developers to have a look into this.
And finally, I also found an old forum post where Jamie has suggested a way to get this working on the Business Objects Environment. Give it a shot, if that's where the reports are eventually run.
    How to disable subreport view
    Hope this helps!

  • Suppressing sub-section with drill down OK

This may be an easy one that I just cannot figure out (I hope...).
I have created two details sections - details A and details B.  I would like to suppress details section B while still allowing for drill down capabilities.  However, that option is not available.  I can either suppress the entire details section (A and B) with drill down capabilities or suppress either A OR B with no drill down capabilities.
Any and all help would be truly appreciated!!

I can only think of using an on demand subreport which sits in Details b. but the row and the SR lable will be visible for all records.

  • Cisco CallManager 5.1.3 Migration to CUCM 8.6

    Hello
I am trying to migrate a Cisco Call Manager v5.1.3 to a new CUCM v 8.6 running on a VM.
I made a DSR backup from Call Manager v5.1.3 and try to install it in a VM running the same version (5.1.3) but I am receiving the following error message:

Any ideas about how to upgrade this server in a VM? I would not like to upgrade the production server...

I just wanted to verify before I did it, that I can restart the DRF services on my CUCM 7.0 without disrupting anything but backups right? A job seems to be hanging and I can't configure anything because it says that a backup is in progress, even though its not.
    TIA,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,
    Backup and Restore Services
This section describes the Backup and Restore Services.
    Cisco DRF Master
The CiscoDRF Master Agent service supports the DRF Master Agent, which  works with the Disaster Recovery System graphical user interface (GUI)  or command line interface (CLI) to schedule backups, perform  restorations, view dependencies, check status of jobs, and cancel jobs,  if necessary. The Cisco DRF Master Agent also provides the storage  medium for the backup and restoration process.
In a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition system, this  service supports both Cisco Unified Communications Manager and  Cisco Unity Connection.
    Cisco DRF Local
The Cisco DRF Local service supports the Cisco DRF Local Agent, which  acts as the workhorse for the DRF Master Agent. Components register with  the Cisco DRF Local Agent to use the disaster recovery framework. The  Cisco DRF Local Agent executes commands that it receives from the Cisco  DRF Master Agent. Cisco DRF Local Agent sends the status, logs, and  command results to the Cisco DRF Master Agent.
In a Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition system, this  service supports both Cisco Unified Communications Manager and  Cisco Unity Connection.
Please refer the below link for more information,
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/service/7_0_1/admin_master/sasrvdes.html
    Hope it helps.

  • CUCM 10.5 Upgrade

    Hi,
I want to install a cop file and after a few seconds I've this error msg below. I can (of course) reload the CUCM server, but I will find another way to solve this issue....
    Caan you help me ?
    Thanks a lot
    Regards,
    Christian.
Error Message (displayed on both web page and cli) :
(-The resource lock platform.api.network.address is currently locked by process 9801@SCUCM1 (NetMessageDispatch-21).  Please try again later-)

I just had a similar issue trying to upload a new firmware cop file and just tracked down the process and restarted the services associated with that process....
From the CLI run "show process list"
track down the process that is reporting the lock.  In my instance it was process id 32264 which was associated with the DRF.
    28114 /usr/local/Snmpri/bin/sappagt -pkg_conf -log_closefile -aperror -apemanate
    32264 /usr/local/platform/bin/CiscoDRFMaster /usr/local/platform/conf/CiscoDRFMasterCfg.xml
     1900 /usr/bin/perl /usr/local/Snmpri/script/sapp_agent.pl 28114
I then restarted the DRF master and local service.
admin:utils service restart Cisco DRF Master
admin:utils service restart Cisco DRF Local
Then I retried my firmware upgrade with no issues.
    Thanks,
    Greg

  • CUCM Backup - Error

    Dear All ,
I am facing the below error message while taking backup in my cucm and my System Version : 8.0.3.10000-8 .
"Status : Local Agent is not responding. This may be due to Master or Local Agent being down. "
Kindly need support for this error .
    Thanks.,
    Mubarak

    Hi,
look into this link if this could be issue
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-version-71/111796-cucm-drf.html#t100
    Solution
First, verify if the Certificate Serial Number in the keystore of Publisher is present in the Truststore of all Subscribers. Complete these steps:
Log on to CUCM OS Administration page of Publisher server of the cluster setup. Choose Security > Certificate Management. The Certificate List window displays.
You can use the Find controls in order to filter the certificate.
Click on the ipsec.pem file and check the serial number of the certificate.
Log on to CUCM OS Administration page of each node of the cluster. Choose Security > Certificate Management. The Certificate List window displays.
You can use the Find controls in order to filter the certificate.
Click on ipsec-trust.pem file with the file name of hostname of the publisher and check the serial number of the certificate.
Certificate Serial Number should be same on all the nodes of the cluster. If Serial Number of any node is mismatched, complete these steps.
Log on to CUCM OS Admin page of affected node.
Choose Security > Certificate Management. The Certificate List window displays.
You can use the Find controls in order to filter the certificate.
Click on ipsec.pem file and download that certificate.
Find the existing ipsec-trust with the filename of the hostname of the publisher, click on the file name and Delete.
Upload the downloaded ipsec.pem file with the caption ipsec-trust.
Restart the DRF Master Agent(MA)/DRF Local Agent (LA).

  • Controlling which CUCM server communicate over a SIP trunk

We have 3 CUCM servers, two sub and one pub at two different physical locations.
There are two SIP trunk servers (non Cisco), we wish to have the CUCM at the same physical location to communicate with the SIP trunk device at its location, instead of going over the WAN to communicate with the other one.
Communications are initiated from the CUCM side through a route pattern that points to a RL/RG that contains the SIP trunk.
The SIP trunk uses a DP that uses a CUCM group that only contains the local CUCM server.
Can this be setup to reliably control which CUCM server talks to the SIP trunk server at its location?
Do we need to configure something differently?

    Hi,
If the CUCM's are located in different physical location then the communication should be over the IP-WAN and if it is about different CUCM Cluster then we can use H323 ICT Trunk between CUCM server for communication which is again WANLink.
Still not clear with your query, However as you want to control the Gwy/Trunks using the Route Pattern. You can create two separate route pattern for internal & external.
Wherein in Internal Route Pattern you can specify the ICT/SipTrunk/GWY which is connected within the cluster under Route List/RouteGroup to route the call.
And for External Route Pattern specify the Gwy/SipTrunk which connects you to the outside world.

    Venkatesh
