  • CUCM Licensing/ordering and demo licenses

    Hello,
I am trying to setup a lab with CUCM and trying to figure out the process to place an order for CUCM. I know that you need DLU licneses for each phone, however do I need to buy a base license in addition to that? How does it work?
Also, does CUCM come with a demo license which I can use for my lab without ordering any additional licenses??
    What are my options?
I alos tried to search the part/product numbers for CUCM ordering but was not able to find them on Cisco site. I am interested in buying CUCM 7.x.
    Thank you.

    Hi there,
    The Part# you would be looking for is;
    CM7.1-K9-LAB
SW Unified CM 7.1 Appliance, 100 DLUs, Lab System Only
This comes with licensing for 2 Nodes, Software (DVD's) and 100 DLU's which
is good for approx. 20 phones I believe the End of Sale for this is June of this year.
    Cheers!

  • How to Find my CUCM License Details

After a company split, a second split, and then a company buyout, we are left with a running CUCM phone system.  The guys that put it together are long gone.  So I am unsure what the CUCM license is good for.  This makes me nervous.
In CUCM, I can see we have 700 units and using 300.  What else can I ascertain about the license?  I have the login for the Pub CLI, if that helps.  I'm mostly concerned that we could find out that we are losing the license and we have to pay for a new license or lose phone service, if say, someone in one of the other companies also installs the same license.
    Who originally paid for it?
    Who now owns it?
How long is it good for?
    etc.
Is there a 'list license details" or something that gives me all this info?
    thank you

You can't find anything related to who paid and who owns from the server, get in touch with whoever placed the order, or moved the licenses, sold the company, etc. That's the kind of info only whoever was involved in the deals would know.
Licenses are tied to a MAC address, you can't just move and swap them around freely without involving Cisco to change that MAC.
It's good for eternity, or when you do a major upgrade (at least for the SW feature licenses on that version), there's no time period associated to it as long as you keep on the same major version..

  • CUCM Licenses - what in the world is going on?

I'm utterly confused with my CUCM licensing and could really use some help.
We have a CUCM 9.1.1 that is having user license issues. We previously had 30 CUWL Standard (9.0) licenses, but were running out, so I purchased 10 of the L-CUWL-ADDON-STDK9. Once I had installed them, it said I still had 30 Standard, but also 10 CUWL Premium. So right off the bat I'm wondering if this is right.
I'm being told in CUCM that I'm using too many licenses. My usage in CUCM is as follows:
CUWL Standard: 3 used (3 users)
Enhanced Plus: 21 user (21 users)
    Enhanced: 9 (9 users)
Basic, essential and Telepresence Room: 0
Note that when I click on the 21 Enhanced Plus Users, it gives me a report of these users. For some reason when I click on the Enhanced users, it just says "9 records found" and doesn't show me a list...
In ELM, apparently the problem is my Enhanced Users. I see the following:
CUWL Standard: 3 required, 30 installed, 0 unused
Enhanced Plus: 21 required, 0 installed, 0 unused
    Enhanced:          9 required, 1 installed, -2 Unused
    So my questions are:
-Can someone help me to understand how the math works, here?
-Should I be assigning an additional device to the Enhanced users to make them Enhanced Plus users? Will that fix the issue?
-What happened to my "CUWL Premium" licenses? How do they factor into this?
-Why won't CUCM show me which users are using Premium licenses?
    Thanks very much!

    Hi,
what is the exact CUCM version u are using?
    the figure shows
CUWL Standard: 3 required, 30 installed, 0 unused
Enhanced Plus: 21 required, 0 installed, 0 unused
    Enhanced: 9 required, 1 installed, -2 Unused
You have installed only 30 CUWL standard and 1 Enhanced license. You do not have any Enhanced Plus license installed so, 21 have been borrowed from CUWL standard while  8 have been borrowed by Enhanced user which makes total of 21+9+3=33[Total installed are 31].
2 for Enhanced would be showing out of compliance.
yuo do not have any Premium License.

  • I tested Adobe CC then bought an educational license with another ID. Lightroom Mobile does not work anymore.

I tested Adobe CC then bought an educational license with another ID. I cannot use Lightroom Mobile. Message "Evaluation version has expired is displayed" and information in Preferences showing the old ID, not the new one. Disappointing support from Adobe. How to get rid of the old information and solve the problem?

Thanks but it did not work. Adobe (USA, not France) solved the problem. My subscription was not correctly entered in the database, it seems.

  • We have desktop licenses with current SA, shouldn't we be able to add MDOP?

We currently have desktop licenses with current software assurance. We would like to add MDOP, but our vendor tells us that Microsoft does not permit MDOP to be added because we purchased our licenses as Open Business + SA instead of Open Value +
SA.  This is quite a shock since all of the Microsoft documents I have found indicate that the only necessary prerequisite to MDOP is desktop licenses with SA.
Here is the applicable excerpt from the Microsoft Product List:
The MDOP home page reads "The Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) is a suite of technologies available as a subscription for Software
    Assurance customers."
There are no qualifications, exemptions, or asterisks in there.  Am I missing something?
Is it really true that MDOP is only available for Open Value customers and not Open Business customers?

    Hi Falko,
If you open the Software Assurance Benefits: Entitlement Summary that you refer to, and hover over the Open License/MDOP
box, it reads "You may subscribe to MDOP when you have active Software Assurance coverage for the Windows desktop operating system."  It also makes sense that there is no checkbox for MDOP under Open License (and not the others) because SA is
optional for Open License (but included for the others).  We have
(the optional) "Software Assurance coverage for the Windows desktop operating system" and therefore according to that PDF, we "may subscribe to MDOP."  But, obviously, that PDF leaves a bit to interpretation and is, rightfully,
    absolutely not authoritative.
The authoritative combination of licensing documents (and their precedence) are described in the License Stack blog post.  In our case, we agreed to
the license terms when we agreed to the Open License Agreement.  The Open License Agreement references two documents that mention MDOP:
    the Product List
    the Product Use Rights
Neither the Open License Agreement, the Product List, nor the Product Use Rights documents make any distinction between Open Value and Open License when referencing MDOP.  In fact,
the only prerequisite to MDOP stated anywhere is "Active Software Assurance for the Windows Desktop Operating System".
I just don't see what I am missing.  The authoritative licensing documents are absolutely clear: If you have Software Assurance for the Windows Desktop Operating System, you are eligible to acquire licenses for MDOP.  There is no distinction
based on how you acquired your Software Assurance.
Is there a licensing professional at Microsoft that could clear this up for me please?
    Thanks for your help,
    Alex

  • Error installing a new license with visual administrator

    Hey there,
we´ve installed a SAP EP on Win 2003 Server machine with sapdb on the same host.
I ordered a license from sap an get a .txt-file back.
While installing the license with the visual administrator some java exceptions occurred, but the popup notes everything has finished succesfully - I think because the file was on a netshare on a another host.
So I copied the file to the local drive - then the import runs without an error.
After a restart of the engines ->
the license check is always displaying the "old amount" of 2 days until epxiry.
After a system reboot -> no changes
    What went wrong?

    Thomas,
Not having ABAP stack is certainly not a concern with license keys.
Once or twice before, even with following/knowing the procedure SAP on a few occasions sends out license keys that are problematic. If you havent opened up an OSS ticket to report the problem, i would do so. Or to have a quicker resolution, you could apply for a new license, but I would include as much information on your customer profile on https://service.sap.com/licensekey.

Another way is to open a command prompt as nspadm and run saplicense -install
To do this follow the steps below
Click "Start" -> "Run..." and enter:
    runas /u:nspadm cmd
Enter nspadm's password. A command prompt appears running as user nspadm. Now change to \usr\sap\nsp\SYS\exe\run and run
    saplicense -install
    Hope this helps.

  • How/when do we get the Captivate 8 upgrade for our volume license with Adobe Software Assurance?

    Hi all,
We bought Captivate 6 as a volume license with a two-year ASA maintenance and support agreement, which is supposed to include all patches and upgrades. That already got us upgraded from Captivate 6 to 7. However, we've had no similar message regarding the upgrade to Captivate 8. As suggested in another discussion, I tried downloading the Cap 8 trial and using our Cap 7 serial number, but it was not accepted.
Hints, suggestions, prophecies, authoritative Adobe statements all welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
We are still processing orders for Adobe Captivate 8 under ASA support agreement, soon you will get information about your order.
If you do not see your order, Please share your Order Information (Order Number or Serial Number for Captivate 7 or Captivate 6) with us on [email protected]

  • Can I create a 2012 home license with a 2013 volume license server?

I am having trouble getting a new installation of LV2012 SP1 to see the home license. I have to change computers at home so I am trying to move my install from one computer to the other. While I have given my IT person the new computer name and ID and they have generated the necessary file, Labview does not see the LV2012 SP1 installation I have. It is still in "evaluation mode". While my IT has upgraded the volume license server to 2013, all of my teams have not yet moved to 2013. So can I (or my IT) create a 2012 SP1 home license with a 2013 volume license server? Or is the problem with my new computer?

The license should be good for any version older than the current SSP is under.  So somebody with a license for LabVIEW 2013 can activate LabVIEW 2012 as well.  It is sounding like something is wrong with your new setup.

  • Use of SPLA licensing with Azure RemoteApp

We are an ISV looking to deploy some of our applications using RemoteApp. Many of our applications interact with Excel and we were wondering if we could use SPLA licensing with RemoteApp instead of requiring our users to use Office 365 subscriptions.
Let me know what our options are.

    Hi Greg,
Yes, you can license Office to your Azure RemoteApp users via SPLA, subject to the terms of your Service Provider License Agreement and the Service Provider Use Rights (SPUR) document.  Azure is considered a Data Center Provider, and Office Professional
Plus 2013 and Office Standard 2013 both have "Eligible for Software Services on Data Center Providers’ Servers:
    Yes".
Please download and read the Universal License Terms, SAL General License Terms Desktop Applications section, and product-specific (Office Pro/Standard) license terms section(s) in the SPUR for specific details, as well as your Service Provider
    License Agreement.

  • SPA9xx licensing with CUCM

Hello. I have a customer that plans to connect a number of SPA942 and SPA962 to a Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster. What licenses do we need to enable all line buttons on the phones? As far as I understand, we need 6 DLUs per 3rd party SIP phone to be able to use more than one line button. Right? But for SPA942, I read somewhere that it comes with 2 line buttons enabled by default, and additional license needs to be purchased to enable the remaining 2 line buttons. Does that apply when it is connected to a CUCM, defined as an advanced 3rd party SIP phone and uses 6 DLUs? If yes, please send me the SKU for that additional license. If you need any clarification, please let me know. Thanks.

    Sasha,
Single line phones such as the SPA901, SPA921, and SPA922 are considered by CUCM to be basic phones and thus require 3 device license units [DLU] each.
Multi-line phones or wireless phones such as SPA941, SPA942, SPA962, SPA525G, WIP330, and WIP310 are considered by CUCM to be advanced phones and thus require 6 DLUs each.
Please stress to your customer that:
Cisco TAC does not support SPA phones in a CUCME or CUCM environment because these phones are not part of Cisco's unified communications [UC] solution. If TAC support is a requirement, then consider using Cisco's Unified IP phones.
Interoperability is limited to RFC3261 level, SIPv2. Thus your customer can expect the following types of features to work: inbound and outbound calls, call hold [no music on hold], transfer, conferencing [local], and call forward. Applications and extension mobility are not supported.
Non-Unified IP phones can only be manually provisioned because CUCM does not provide any provisioning facilities.
    Regards,
    Patrick
