CUCM migration to version 10

Hi all
I am running a BE6k system with CUCM and CUC v9.1.2. In order to take advatage of the new feaures that CUCM and CUC version have, I have decided to migrate to version 10, but I am facing a migration issue. According to the upgrade guide, the migration from 9.x to 10 is a Refresh Upgrade (the underlying Red Hat operating system has to be upgraded) and I have to use Cisco Prime Collaboration Deployment. The ova image file for that is pcd_vApp_UCOS_10.0.1.10000-14_vmv7_v1.0.ova but I cannot find it anywhere. Moreover I cannot also find any iso images of the CUCM installation .Am I missing something??

Can CUCM 8.5 version be installed on a DL 380 G5 server in Virtual environment (Vmware Esxi 4.0 or 4.1)? Or does it have to be only installed in UCS boxes for VMware?

Similary is the case with CUIC 8.5. Has anybody worked on these do suggest ideas.

Virtualized UC applications from Cisco are only supported on the UC on UCS platform using ESXi 4.0, 4.0 Update 1, or 4.1 - hypervisor support may vary based on application.

Based on the error message that “Package migration from version 8 to version 6 failed with error 0xC001700A ", we can infer that the underlying cause is that the current SSIS package is created in SSDT BI 2014 for Visual Studio 2013, while you are trying
to execute it with SQL Server 2012 DTEXEC. It seems that SQL Server 2014 Integration Services (SSIS) is installed on a machine that has SQL Server 2012 Integration Services (SSIS) installed, multiple versions of the dtexec utility are installed.
SSIS versions are not backwards compatible. SSDT BI for VS 2013 is used for SQL Server 2014, SSDT BI for VS 2012/SSDT 2010 is used for SQL Server 2012. Please notice that once a package is upgraded from SSIS 2012 package schema to SSIS 2014 package schema,
the package cannot be downgraded. So we cannot open or execute the SSIS 2014 packages with SSIS 2012 anymore.
To fix this, please ensure that you run the correct version of the utility, at the command prompt run the utility by entering the full path (<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn).

you can login PCD through putty for seeing the logs
file list activelog tomcat/logs/ucmap/log4j/ detail date
further, run
file tail activelog tomcat/logs/ucmap/logs4j/ucmap00001.log[for example]

Error while migrating from version 9201 to 9204

Actully i m migrating the Oracle 9201 to 9204,
now after installing only 9201,
1. I created the database and checked, everything was working fine.
2. i shutdown the database.
3. check, still some processes related to oracle like (HTTP server) were running,
4. i started upgrated to 9204, the process of updating the files FAILS 10-15 times, as i IGNORE that.
5. After uncessfully completing the path i logged to sqlplus giving error as

OIM Migration from version 9.1.0 to 9.1.0.2

Hello Everybody,
I'm working in a migration process of Oracle Identity Manager from 9.1.0 to 9.1.0.1 and them to 9.1.0.2.
The process works Ok with the core of OIM but we having a problem with the migration of the AD connector.
At the first time, we applied the process directly (according to the oracle documentation) and the object "user" looks corrupt.
We call Oracle and they told us that the correct way to install a new version of the connector is importing it from a OIM new instalation (with the new connector), but this process corrupt the object "user".
Did somebody work in a OIM migration process? Does somebody know the correct way to migrate OIM?

Planning classical application Migration from version 9.3.1 to 11.1.1.3.

Windows Server 2000 R2
1.I have created classical planning applicationin(CPLAN) in the 11.1.1.3 which similar to 9.31 application, interms of application name, database names and dimensions.
2.I took backup of CPLAN of 11, and CPLAN of 931.
3.stopped planning, Essbase , RMI Registry, Shared services.
4.Restored the 931 CPLAN Backup( of SQLServer 2000) into 11113 CPLAN(SQL Server 2005)
5.HSP_OBJECT table - in this table object id column and objectname column is password, Here tried with both old password hypadmin and new password admin.
6.HSP_USERS table - USER _ID =50001 and SID= (I given 11 version details)
7. HSP_SYSTEMCFG Table- I tried with changing the VERSION from 9 to 11 and cleared the verion - tried with both the ways
and EIE_SERVER changed- this is shared service path with port number and server name changed.
I mean http://mycurrent server:28080/interop.
8. Above These3 Tables columns changed and started the services all planning etc.
9. tried to open planning web, i got the application CPLAN name, once enter the username and password and CPLAN , its giving error. the error message , error while processing this current page, check the log for details. I got this error message.
10. I checked the logs, Access.log, and Hyperion Planning.log these two logs verified i didnot find any error.
--please help meon this who has done this kind of migration. ASAP.

BE6000 CUCM 9.1 version licensing query

Hi All,
We have a BE6000 with CUCM 9.1 and UCL enhanced license subscription for 3 years. Can somebody help me understand what we need to do at the end of 3 years? Do we need to renew the licenses or do we have to purchase new licenses all together.

Once you purchase the licenses, it stays with you and does not expire. However, if you do not keep your UCSS current and smartnet subscriptions, you will not be able to upgrade to version 10 or higher. (after three years). If you let it expire, Cisco usually has a program in place to allow the customer "get well" or "get current" for subscriptions. Instead of buying new licenses, you will be required to buy upgrades or renew your subscription at a higher price.
In a nutshell, stay current on your UCSS and SmartNet contracts and you will be fine.

Peoplesoft Project migration from version(PT8.48) to lower version(PT8.45)

Note if I already tested many time to move project from lower to higher PT version with this methid I never tested it from higher to lower version.
Furthermore, need to be tested, validated, and I'm not really sure it is a supported way (modify PT release in .ini file) to copy project accross version.

You can migrate your Cr 9.2 version reports to Crystal XI R2 version.
But it is individual product /seperate installation as crystal designer not included in Business Objects installation.
You can run reports and upgrade to latest version CR 2008.

Variants not migrated to Version 7

Hi everyone,
We successfully did our technical upgrade and are in the process of migrating all the queries and workbooks to Version 7.0. We used the migrating of variants programs during the initial technical upgrade and have no problem seeing the variants in Version 3.x of the reports and workbooks.
We don't see any variants when we run the reports after they have been migrated. The old 3.x variants are showing up in the RSRVARIANT, RSRVARIANTDIR and RSRVARIANTVIEW tables. I believe the variants should be in the RSPARAMETRIZA and RSPARAMETRIZAT tables - but these are blank.
We tried migrating the variants again and get an error that they could not be migrated.
Did anyone have this issue? If so, please let me know!

Hi Pratik,
It turns out that we were missing authorizations! We needed to have full access to the authorization object S_RS_PARAM. In fact, users need to have this object as well, otherwise they won't see their parameters.
When you run the program to migrate the variants, if you don't have the authorizations for changing (we only had display) then the migration will not be done.
We re-did it after and now everything is fine!

IPhoto migration. version issue

Have migrated my data from another iMac to new iMac.. When I open iPhoto on the new Mac I get a message that my photos are in a newer version of iPhoto and I need to open a new library or quit. Quit is only option. Upgraded s'ware and no change? IPhoto version on old mac is 5.3.2

I ran into a problem last week when trying to deploy our application on Weblogic 12c. (12.1.1). Until now our application was running on weblogic 10.3.4.
Several of our JPA queries do not compile/execute anymore due to the new eclipselink version : 2.3.1 embedded in weblogic 12.1.1.
On weblogic 10.3.4 the JPA queries work fine (eclipselink version 2.1.3). On 12c, with eclipselink version 2.3.1, we get a ORA-0904 error on several queries. Eclipselink 2.3.1 does not compile the query into a correct native SQL query (same problem as http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24022303).

The JPA get's confused with the scoping of the M_FOR table. We use the same table again in different subqueries. T5 is reused in the second qubquery which is wrong (it's not in the FROM). and thus we get a ORA-0904 error.
So I was hoping that I could solve this problem by upgrading to JPA version 2.4.1 which I did using the following tutorial :

Basically I made a shared-library with the 2.4.1 JPA and reference it from our project.
With the 2.4.1 version I run into a org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.JPQLException on A LOT of queries even before the queries are compiled into native sql:

The IN expression does not have a valid expression
I have the impression that the left side of a IN expression can't be a constant. If I put (eleve.nom IN :list) this query passes. If I put (1 in :list) the query fails for the same reason.
I have double checked the runtime version of eclipselink with:

So to summarize, I have native sql problems (incorrect sql) with versions 2.3.* and I have parsing exceptions with versions 2.4.0 and 2.4.1. I suppose that with versions 2.4.* I will run into the same native sql problems of versions 2.3.* once all the queries parse.
Versions 2.1.3 and 2.2.0 work.
Has anyone any idea or experience with migration problems of weblogic and/or eclipselink. Any help would be very appreciated.

EclipseLink 2.4 uses the Hermes parser by default instead of the ANTLR parser used previously, so that might explain the parsing error differences. Both issues should be filed as bugs, but it might be that once the 2.4 parse error is fixed or a workaround provided to generate the correct SQL - the code generated by the two parsers can be slightly different.
But please file both issues with as simple a test case reproduction as possible, and remember to vote for each if filed on EclipseLink instead of through Oracle support.
