Will installing a CS5 trial fix the version cue errors from CS4?

Hi, I was wondering if installing a trial version of CS5 would fix the version cue errors from CS4.
If not, does anyone know a good download of the version cue files? They have all dissappeared from my computer after running the cleanup script and the problem still persists =(

Afterr months of pain and one ephiphany later, i have a simple solution to the issue.
Go into the common files, adobe drive, version cue folder, and drag the files into the recycling bin =)
So theres no need to install cs5 =D

How do I fix this Version Cue error

I recently upgraded my Vista Machine to Windows 7. Before the upgrade I deactivated and uninstalled my Adobe Creative Suite software. After the Windows 7 upgrade I reinstalled both CS2 Premium and CS4 Design Premium. It said there was a error during install that regarding Flash and that some of it's components might not work properly and to try the installion again. I did but I am not to concerned with Flash since I don't use it. My problem is that Illustrator and Photoshop don't work. I get the following error messages when I try to open a file then the program shuts down.

I found the fix from a previous post regarding this issue. It is detailed below.
Hi Gang,
I was having the same problem as you all. I tried all the dll download sites that said they had the file I needed and all I had to do was to "unzip it and install it into the system directory", and of course, none of them worked. And that was while and after I waded through all the registry scanner stuff that came up on my "VersionCue.DLL error" search.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I simply copied the same file that is in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client\4.0.0\
to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client\4.0.1\
Actually, I copied all of the files, not including the Dictionaries directory,
VersionCue.dll
VersionCueSDK.dll
VersionCueUI.dll
ExtendScript.dll
that were not in the 4.0.1 directory.
Now, I ended up with these 5 files,
VersionCue.dll
VersionCueSDK.dll
VersionCueUI.dll
ExtendScript.dll
ScCore.dll
and 1 directory, Dictionaries.
Now all is back to normal, for me at least. I hope this can help others, as well.

I recently installed Yosemite and now my Photoshop CS4 gives me the following error message when I try and open a photo, WHY? and how can I fix it?

I need to install the Portuguese language pack and the command that i am using in the CUE CLI is:

Cannot not install the language .prt file directly like that.
Instead, install upgrade the language package .pkg, from there you will have a menu selection, and choose from there.

Pavilion g6 - Hard disk (3FO) - but disk works in different laptop?????

4. Hinges snapped, so disassembled completely but DID NOT remove the HD. Realised I'd bought hinges for the wrong model, so put it back together and worked fine.
Week later, new hinges mkII arrived. Disassembled again (stll didn't remove HD) replaced hinges, reassembled, and cue error message on startup.
I've tried reseating multiple times. Have reset the BIOS settings, and attempted t recover using F11 at stat up. Same error every time.
I've tried connecting to another laptop using an external HD box. Disk spins but does not show up in My compuer or device manager. Conclude this doesn't tseem good.
In a last ditch attempt to salvage files from said disk, I connected it directly into my toshiba laptop and prayed. And it worked - my laptop booted up in what appeared to be safe mode, and I was abe to burn files from the Pavilion HD to a DVD. (Took the HD back outt, put my toshiba HD back in and no damage done).
So...is the HD dead or not? I'm loathe to buy a new one just yet....

I understand that you are getting an error 3F0.
Turn off the computer.
As you power it back on tap the F2 key. This will load hardware diagnostics.
Run the startup test.
This will test all the hardware in the system and detect any problems.
Usually when you get this message the hard drive is going to fail.
Let me know how everything goes.

Cdemu - no connection to dbus

Good afternoon!
I have tried to get cdemu to work, in order to mount a CUE image (as there is no converter from CUE to ISO as far as I know), but I'm stuck with the following error message.

I have conducted some research on the error message. Normally, one should start cdemud with the -s parameter, which is specified in the file /etc/rc.d/cdemud:
cdemud -s -d -n $NUM_DRIVES -c $CTL_DEVICE -a $AUDIO_BACKEND -o $AUDIO_DEVICE &>/dev/null
is the starting command for the daemon - the bus is therefore already set - but still it does not seem to work.
Has anyone got an idea, which problem I could have run into?

XP-64 - NO PDF printer installed with AA9 PRO

Installed, uninstalled, reinstalled -- still no PDF printer. Do I need to go back to AA8 Pro to be able to create PDF's with XP-64?
Seems AA9 Pro is an expensive PDF READER only.

Update to AA9 PRO SAGA:
Having spent the best part of a week sorting out this mess I have finally got this working.
Having re-installed CS3 design premium, my event log was totally filled with Version Cue 3 errors, see:

This prompted me to do a repair to Version Cue CS3 which basically seemed to re-install everything.
Following that repair I was unable to update Illustrator from 13 to 13.0.1 or 13.0.2. The automatic updater failed and the manual updates also failed, although at one stage when trying to update to 13.0.1, the installer reported that it had already been installed, although the Illustrator splash still reported version 13.0.0.

I completely uninstalled CS3 [again] and re-installed everything except AA8 PRO. Again, the automatic updater failed to update Illustrator. I ran the manual updater, and much to my amazement, it updated, both 13.01 and 13.02. The version cue errors are also gone.
Feeling that it was my lucky day, I proceeded to take a chance and install AA9 PRO. It installed without error ...but did not install the printer.
I followed the advice in these forums here to install the printer as described in post #25:

I then ran a repair on AA9 PRO and I now have 2 (two) printers: "Adobe PDF Converter" and "Adobe PDF".

CUE 8.6.10 error "login as administrator failed" message

the username and password is 100% correct also the below commands exists in my configuration

i tried a lot of things with no luck
Note GUI files exists on the router flash

The stuff under telephony-service is for CME, not for CUE
Create a normal user (username test123 privilege 15 secret test123) use this account to login to the CLI of CUE (service-module isM 0/0 session)
Then create an administrative user and use this one to login to the CUE GUI

Version Cue CS4 Missing, Fatal Error!!! (Mac OS)

I bought the PS CS4 for OSX alone, without the suite. Although I figured that this would be great and all and everything would work. Although what I learned is that without buying the suite you dont get a copy of version cue. Okay, Im thinking this is fine and all, untill I then start up Photoshop and start a new image, at which point Im greeted with this error:

I checked out the forums and found help on disabling the options for versioncue, although they didnt help at all and the issue is still there.
Please help, I have to get PS working for my job, and Adobe Support wont help me.

I have never bought any version of the suite, and the Adobe Version Cue support files have been installed by Photoshop 10.x and 11.x.
For some reason you have a bad install.
Try using the Adobe Uninstaller to uninstall Photoshop 11. Then Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility. Then install Photoshop, and Repair Permissions once again.
DO NOT move the Photoshop icon, nor the Photoshop folder from the default install location in the root Applications folder.
Once you're up and running, apply all available updates.
If you're still having problems after that, please give details about your machine, OS, etc.

Try to unplug, plug the AIM-CUE and settle down again. If it doesn't work, then most probably you should do an RMA.

Error connecting to Version Cue after installing Safari update 3.1.1!

I'm having trouble restarting the Version Cue server. It was running just fine before my Mac (OSX 10.4.11) restarted after installing the Safari 3.1.1 update this morning. This is the error message I receive when attempting to start VC:
Version Cue CS3 could not be started.
Please check the Version Cue CS3 logs.
So I checked the logs by browsing through the Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe VersionCue/Server/logs
Below, please find the chunk of information from the log where the problem began. I'm not saavy at all with this - but I do see in the log something about mDNS and after dealing with this problem all morning, I caught a bit of talk in other forums about this particular Safari update changing your DNS settings. Is this related? If it is, what should I do? If it isn't, what should I do?

Jasker - Thanks you for trying to help, but it didn't work. I followed your directions. Then I attempted to restart the Version Cue server and a Safari browser opened and pointed to http://localhost:3703/ with the message "Safari cant connect to the server.
Safari cant open the page http://localhost:3703/ because it could not connect to the server localhost."
I just want it to start up again so I can properly retrieve all of our projects! Even if I can get it back up, I don't think I will use Version Cue the way we used to, now that I know how unreliable it can be.
Can anyone at least offer advice on how to salvage shared projects (created and maintained by 2 different users) from the Version Cue server when it's offline?

After Effects video cue point data error #1107

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a personalised video using the techniques described here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/atv_personalized_video.html
I have created the video and tracking data in After Effects (CS5), converted the tracking data to Flash cue points and exported the .flv file. I can import the video into Flash (CS6) just fine and I can see all the cue point data however when I try to compile the Flash project, bearing in mind this is just an empty stage with an instance of FLVPlayback on it, I get the following errors:
VerifyError: Error #1107: The ABC data is corrupt, attempt to read out of bounds.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable Icon is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable FLVPlayback is not defined.
ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable Main is not defined.
If I export the .flv without the cue point data I can import, compile and play the video without error.
I've had a look around and I've not really been able to find any information about this issue and don't have a clue where to start with it.
Any ideas?!

Here is the script I used to export the markers as valid XML for Flash to import. Please note that this will export all markers from all layers so if, as I did, you have multiple 'versions' of your tracking data on different layers it will export the whole lot.

Fatal error message: version cue CS4 not found

Just migrated everything to a new Mac Pro with Maverick. When I try to open a document in CS4, I get-Fatal Error: missing component. Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Version Cue CS4/Client/4.0/Version Cue.framework.
That file appears to be in my Library folder as it is shown in the error message. Ideas?
