CUIS Archiver reporting environment error..
When I point the datasource to the AWDB the report runs fine. However, When I point the report to Archiver_data it gives me environment error. I noticed that there are few views missing in the archiver_data database in compate to AWDB database. Eg Agent_Skill_Group_Half_Hour view is missing, so not able run the Agent details historical report on the Archiver_data datasource.

Manoj,
I actually just talked to the CCBU about this today. Basically the connector for the ICM AW/HDS only pulls a few tables as an example of a connector, so developers have a refernce. All 19 canned reports are meant to run against the AW/HDS unless you expand the connector to fit all the tables neessary and edit the templates yourself to point at the archiever. Basically the only reason you really need the archiever server is if you need a data market, or if you have the wanting to build custom datasource connector for the archiever. Silly I know....
Hope this helps,
Chad

Reporting Services Error after Interactive sorting and drill down in pps
Hi
i have a report that has a drill down option that shows all workgroups within a specific parent group and an interactive sorting ass well on both columns parent group & workgroup
This is displayed in pps combined with a SharePoint
---the problem is that after sorting the parent group column by name i then press the drill through icon (+) next to it hopping to see all workgroups related to each parent group
- but instead
i receive this Reporting Services Error :
The value for parameter 'SortItem' is not specified. It is either missing from the function call, or it is set to null. (rsMissingParameter) Get
Online Help
If I don't press the sorting and just drill through it works fine. the sorting itself also works fine.
any suggestions ?
Hi Hyaron,
I am unable to reproduce the issue in my test environment. How did you add the drilldown feature? Were you doing that by setting visibility of the column or of the group? Please ensure to add the drilldown functionality by set the visibility of the workgroup
from the Grouping Pane in the Report Designer.
How did you add the Interactive Sorting on the headers of the two columns? Based on the drilldown functionality, the Interactive Sorting on the second column doesn’t work. So, you can move the Interactive Sorting on the second column. When configuring the
Interactive sorting on the first column, you should set the parent group to sort, and sort by the field that the parent group groups by.
Hope this helps.

Mike Yin

Report warning/error if wrong keyfield found
Hello experts,
I have a scenario in PI 7.1 environment where I am doing file(csv) to file(xml) conversion. The source file has multiple records and I am hence reading it using keyfield in the file content conversion. The default behaviour in this scenario is that if the no matching keyfield is found for a record, the record is ignored and not read. Is there any way to report warning/error if any record is ignored due to incorrect keyfield?
Thanks
RRYep. But is there any work around at all to notify that records have been ignored?
Thanks,

Time machine reporting space error
My TM backups are coming back with an error saying that my backup is XX.X and I only have XX.X space on my external drive. The confounding thing is that the external HDD has more than double the space that the backup needs. I have attached a couple of screen shots with the error. I have done a surface scan with Drive Genius 3 to make sure that a bad block wasn't the cause.
Any ideas?Time Machine works on a recursive algorithm to try and maximize the archival capability of its backups. If it can't maximize it, it will report an error. Generally speaking your backup drive needs to be at least twice the size of the original. Because the algorithm itself gives you no control over when it considers an archive too old to preserve, I recommend making manual Time Machine backups instead of automatic by controlling it with Time Machine switch in Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Time Machine. When off, go ahead and backup the archives that are most important to you, somewhere other than the Time Machine drive. Otherwise if the original drive does not retain the data, it will eventually vanish.

ERROR: The Importer Reported Generic Error
I just purchased PE 10 about 2 weeks ago after trial version which I installed on separate machine and utilized for Photoshop. I purchased it, because of Adobe's trusted reputation. I installed purchased copy in high end machine containing Corsair 120 Force GT SSD Sata 3 root drive with 2 additional internal 500 gb each storage drives. One WD & Seagate Barracuda at 7200 rpm.
Photoshop portion works without any glitches. PE10 reports said error message upon attempts at 95 percent of my .vob, .TS & .wmv files, which should be compatible as stated by Adobe. I am able to open same files on Windows Movie Maker and WMP.
I contacted Adobe support and was disconnected during troubleshooting by Adobe rep. Second attempt lead me to a rep who did not really have any answers or resolve. His explanation was to keep looking for files which would open only on the root drive as network drives, logical drives and external drives are not supported by Adobe. I complied and copied files to C: Drive at his request to no avail. Problem persists.
Basically, you need an enormous: Drive to accommodate the huge amount of space videos & photos normally capacitate. In my case, over 469 gigs.
Maybe it's me, but you would think Adobe would consider the fact no one in their right mind would relegate pertinent data to root drive as it is where the OS resides, thus is susceptible to crashes and data loss. Yes, OS should be partitioned separately from data, but anyone who really knows hardware, ie: hard drives, would be fully aware the entire drive can become unstable and usuable due to OS crashes.
Questions:
Why has Adobe not taken a closer look at what appears to be a proprietary issue as opposed to informing its customers that their files are corrupt?
Why does Adobe not offer fixes\resolves to importing (Get Media) issues such as addins, plugins, hotfixes, possible Codecs and\or conversion software when this is in fact their responsibility when advertising claims of compatibility with said files?
Why does Adobe not support importation of files residing in NAS External Drives and internal logical drives, as this is the direction of the end user home industry?
Has anyone in these forums actually been able to resolve ERROR Message: "The Importer Reported Generic Error"?
Please feel free to answer and\or comment on my statements\questions as I am simply a customer looking for resolve and would be more than willing to retract what I have mentioned here for some real support from Adobe.I have never had any problem, when Importing files from my NAS, but found early on, that it was too slow a process to use and edit effectively. Same for other mapped networked drives. After those initial tests, I just altered my workflow. I still use my NAS to archive my Assets, but will Copy those to my "media drive" (my D:\ on my system). My Project files are on my E:\ drive, and only my OS and programs are on C:\. Note: those are all physical HDD's, and NOT partitions. That layout works 100% for me. In my case, it was not a inability to use the NAS, or mapped networked drives (for Assets ONLY), but the speed of the gigabit (dual in my case) network being too slow for me to edit comfortably.
Premiere (both PrPro and PrE) work best with at least two physical HDD's, and even better with three.
Where Premiere has issues with networked drives will usually be where one has mapped My Documents to a networked drive, or where the user has located the working files (Scratch Disks) to a networked HDD. That situation can create issues.
I have never encountered any "Importer" error messages, and really do not recall seeing others with that issue, so cannot help there.
Good luck, and wish that I had more to offer.

Intermittent "Load Report Failed" error on IIS6 ASP 4.0
I can run reports designed in Crystal 2011 and embedded in VS2010 designed web pages on a Windows 2003 SP2 server every day. However, once every 2 - 3 days I get a "Load Report Failed - A document processed by the JRC engine cannot be opened in the C++ stack". The first instance of this error causes all subsequent user access to Crystal Reports to fail with the same error. When the ASP 4.0 application pool is recycled the error goes away.
I was getting the "Load Report Failed" error due to "out of memory" I until made sure that the crystalreportviewer.dispose was run on exiting each report page.
Here is how I run Crystal Reports:
Protected Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Init
If Not IsPostBack Then
Dim myAL As New Hashtable
myAL.Add("MO1", Request.QueryString("MONum1"))
myAL.Add("MO2", Request.QueryString("MONum1"))
Dim filename As String = ""
filename = Server.MapPath("~/reports") + "\MfgPicklistByMO.rpt"
Dim u As New CrystalUtilities
Session("crViewer") = u.SetupReport(filename, myAL)
End If
CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = Session("crViewer")
End Sub
Public Function SetupReport(ByVal fileName As String, _
ByVal Params As Hashtable, Optional ByVal dbParam As Boolean = True) As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
Dim objCrystalReportDocument As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
objCrystalReportDocument.Load(fileName)
.... logs onto a selected database, and loads paramtersI have installed CrystalReportViewer1.Dispose() statements on all of the link events to navigate out of the pages with the CrystalViewer. However, it turns out that several users are using the back arrow to navigate out of the page instead of the navigation links I have put on the page.
I can't seem to find any event in ASPNET 4 that fires when the back arrow is pushed. If I could find such an event I could put a CrystalReportViewer1.dispose statement there assuming CrystalReportViewer1 still has scope. The Page_Disposed event does not fire when the back arrow is pushed.

Java Runtime Environment Error - Note Pads On Desktop
I have gotten three note pads on my desktop last week time: Wed Apr 29 08:32:02 2009, time: Thu Apr 30 08:42:51 2009, Sat May 02 09:43:38 2009.
I am wondering why I got three note pads on my desktop telling me about Java Runtime Environment Error.
Is this how Java Runtime Environment Error lets you know there is a problem. When a window pops up saying there is a Java Runtime Environment Error problem I normally send it.
Nothing every happens when I send Java Runtime Environment Error. How can this problem be fixed.
And why am getting Java Runtime Environment Error on my desktop. The second & third Java Runtime Environment Error cant fit in this post because of Maximum allowed is 7500 only. And I had to remove the bootom part of the first Java Runtime Environment Error just to make it fit.
If you need me to I could Post the other two Java Runtime Environment Error.
Here is the first Java Runtime Environment Error with time: Wed Apr 29 08:32:02 2009

The problem you're facing is due to the fact, that between SLES 8 and SLES 9 the threading library was changed.
You can try the following:
logon as <sid>adm
x_server stop
setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.21
x_server start
dbmcli -U c db_online
If that works you should change your .dbenv_<hostname>.csh of user <sid>adm and set this environment variable.

its Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9 Sp 1. -
We encounter this problem when trying to hyperlink between reports:
Error Msg: Report Linking Error. There was an error retrieving data from server.
When linking to one report via another using hyperlinks of length greater than 1200 characters we receive a u2018Report Linkingu2019 error. Hyperlinks of lower than 1200 characters work fine.
Browser: Using Internet explorer version: 6
BO version: BOXI R2 SP3
(cut and paste from an engineer on my team).
Any thoughts?hello,
getreportsource is the error when a url is being resolved by opendocument and the target cannot be found in your enterprise environment or there is a conflict with a target name.
1) ensure that you are running the report in infoview. if you are running the report in the report designer's html preview you are going to have issues as it is not really for these pass through html methods. you can get the odd thing to work but it should really be run in the destination (infoview) environment to test out interactivity.
2) do a search for webelementsbasicfunctionality in your infoview search...ensure that there is only one copy of the report in the entire repository or there will be name conflicts...the urls being generated in these examples use name resolution (with no folder hierarchy) to make publishing easier. -
Report Linking Error on WeSubmitButton on WebElementsBasicFunctionality.rpt
<p>Report Linking Error </p><p>STR_ID:IDS_OPENDOC_REPORT_SOURCE_ERROR</p><p>After installing Web Elements 2.1</p><p>BOE XI R1, SP3 and Crystal Reports XI R1 SP3 are installed.</p><p>WEPlatform is set to "XI.NET"</p><p>Using ODBC datasource Xtreme Enterprise 11 Sample Database, not 11.5.</p><p>Thanks in Advance,</p><p><br />Randy R. Creller</p><p>703 324-4532 </p><p>Any Help would be greatly appreciated. </p><p> P.S. I was able to get this to work using IdType=Id and using the report ID in the SubmitButton formula on the TargetPath Call.</p><p>I really need an example of the fully qualified Folders in the URL . If someone could provide this for me that would be great! </p><p> </p>
<p>the error that you are receiving is most likely due to a name resolution issue...check to see that the name of the report in your enterprise environment matches exactly with the name in the WESubmit formulae.</p><p>if you're using a december 18th version of the report (date is in the page header PH section) then the name of the report in enterprise should be webElementsBasicFunctionality</p><p>note that having a .rpt extension in the enterprise environment in this case will cause name resolution issues...i.e. webElementsBasicFunctionality.rpt is not the same as webElementsBasicFunctionality</p><p>jw</p>

EPSON Workforce 310 "scanner reported an error" when using document feeder
I'm having trouble using my EPSON Workforce 310 printer/scanner with my new MacBook Pro (late 2012, 2.5 GHz i5, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2).
Using the flatbed I can scan without a problem. But when I try to use the document feeder, I get the following error right after I click Scan and before the scanner has done anything (at least I don't hear anything moving inside the EPSON):
Scanner reported an error
An error occured during scanning
The EPSON's display doesn't show any error or special message.
This is repeated whether I use Image Capture, Preview's Import from Scanner, or the printer's native app (PrinterProxy, the one that shows up in the doc whenever the printer is printing or scanning).
I have no problem doing the scanning from my old iMac (2006, 2GHz Core Duo, Snow Leopard). After scanning to the MacBook fails I can walk over to the iMac and scan from there without problem and without resetting anything on the EPSON.
The EPSON is connected the home network via ethernet to a Time Capsule. Both computers are connected to the network via WiFi.Syd,
My wife's iMac with 10.6.6 stopped working with her Epson 2480 Photo scanner. Get the error message "SCANNER reported an error. An error has occurred during scanning" I am trying to use it from the Image Capture App or from the print/fax option in Settings which opens Image Capture. I ran the uninstall program and then reinstalled the ICA 13969 .dmg but get the same error. Not sure what else I can do. -
I first tried downloading Safari when the 5.0 update came out last year. When I choose the app in the dock, I get the blue top bar (Safari, File, etc) but nothing else loads. I uninstalled the app and tried again several times, but no success. For over a year now I've used Firefox as a result. Today I thought I'd try again, but same results. When I choose "new window" in the file menu, I get a small gray window with my bookmarks on top, then in a few seconds, the app quits unexpectedly and the report an error screen appears. I've unchecked all the languages in the information area for the app, cleared all history, cookies, and cache. Still the extensions tab in the preferences area has "LOCALIZED STRING NOT FOUND" in 4 places. It won't show what that means when I click the "?". Will I ever be able to use Safari again?
Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
* [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]]
-> Profile in use
* [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_in_use]
Check and tell if its working. -

How we get the actual error from crystal report?
Thanks in AdvanceWhat is the workflow
What is the application doing?
Iu2019m guessing you have a windows service application and you're trying to launch a UI (ie the viewer control) from the application or print using the vieweru2019s printing functionality programmatically(?).
If this is a Windows Service running under the local system account, then follow the instructions in the error message. (ie, bring up the properties of the service, go to the logon tab and check the checkbox that says u201CAllow service to interact with desktopu201D. At least that should allow whatever popup is trying to come up display properly.
