Culture settings in crystal Report

How to set the culture info of the Crystal Report document according to theaspx page's culture info

Moved to .NET forum.
Also need more info, Version, WEB/Windows etc.
And how are you setting the Local?
It's really not part of CR, search MSDN for all of those Local Values and then you can set it accordingly in your app.

  • InfoView not defaulting print settings from Crystal Reports XI

    I have a form/report created from Crystal Reports XI published to InfoView that has the print settings set for the manual tray when printed. When running the report in InfoView, it does not default to the manual tray when printing. I am publishing directly from Crystal Reports. I have the Process/Print Setup 'Set layout to: Report file default' and the Schedule/Format 'Use options saved with report' checkbox checked. I am not finding any other settings to tell InfoView to use the report page layout/printer settings. Anyone know of any other options I should check? Thanks!

    That would be the correct forum as this one is for SDK issues only.
    If you are not getting helped on the other BO forum you may want to consider creating a case if you have a valid support contract.

  • Firewall Settings for Crystal Reports

    In the SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide the fire wall settings which are described are based on the SAP Gateway service listening port and the SAP Dispatcher service listening port.
    Both the port are opened but there is still the database popup asking for the username/password when the report is refreshed used with a SAP account within Infoview.
    If this report is tested on an environment without a firewall there is no database popup.
    So my question is if it is enough to only open both the SAP ports in the firewall or do we also need additional ports for different BO services like the Crystal Report processing services.
    Thanks,
    Jan

    Hello Keith,
    You are asking an Enterprise configuration issue, not a data connectivity issue. You really should post your question to the Business Objects forums.
    Enterprise can be configured to work with firewalls. Ports can be set on the various servers using command line switches, etc. I believe firewall configuration is covered in the BOE XIR2 Admin guide, or possibly one of the appendicies. Here's a link to the BOE XIR2 Admin guide:
    [BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 Administrator's Guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir2/en/xir2_bip_Admin_en.pdf]
    If you need additional assistance you should consider opening a support case.
    I hope this helps!

  • Print Draft Document using Crystal Report in SAP 8.8

    I created a Crystal Report Layout using SQL View as data source for AR Invoice which prints out fine. (everthing on 1 page)
    To print Draft Invoice, I copied the view to use ODRF/RDF1 instead of OINV/INV1, copied the Crystal report and updated the data source to the new view. When print Draft Invoice, it prints 3 pages - page 1 blank, page 2 just the "DRAFT" watermark, page 3 the crystal report without watermark.
    Steps to print Draft Invoice: Sales-A/R > Sales Report > Document Drafts Report > Open selected Draft Invoice document > File > Select Layout and Print...
    What is happening behind the scene when printing Draft documents? What is the correct way to print Drafts (e.g. special settings designing Crystal Reports)?
    Thanks,
    Grace

    Thank you for your reply. It works in this specific report.
    But we have both PLD and Crystal Report in the system, changing the settings means the PLD will lose their watermark...
    Also, I don't know how the Draft is displayed, but when select Print Preview for Draft, it's asking for parameter (DocEntry), which I have setup a DocKey@ in Crystal Report and set it in the Selection Manager. Does SAP provide DocEntry in Draft Invoice (ODRF) the same way as in Invoice (OINV)?
    Thanks,
    Grace

  • Crystal Reports 2008: "convert DB null values to default"

    All:
    Quick question on CR 2008;
    Which default value will be set when you enable u201Cconvert DB null values to defaultu201D using report option in CR - based on Database default value setting or Crystal Report's?
    Thanks.

    So it is Crystal Reports settings NOT database default value settings that Crystal Reports uses, correct?

  • Crystal Reports Crashes on startup

    All,
    Please help. We have been using Crystal Reports for a couple years now, never really impressed with the product but it gets the job done. Now we have 10 or so users that use the software and it keeps crashing. We are up to three licenses that are just going to waste becuase the computers the software is installed on can't start the program anymore. We are using Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 on each system.
    3 Computers are suffering the exact same problem.
    When Crystal Reports 2008 is selected from the start menu the program loads until the point it shows the Start Page then it closes itself down, no errors, no indication on what is going on it just goes "poof" as the users explain it. Oddly enough however if I right click the application shortcut and choose "Run As" I can start it as a diffrent user on that machine however the user it was intended for cannot. The program did start in the past but it now does not start at all. Since I can start it as another user I assume it is some part of the users settings in Crystal Reports that is the problem. I was hoping to find a folder in the application data or the local settings folders that had to do with Crystal Reports that I could just delete/rename to make the program load all defaults but none such folder seems to exist. I tried deleting all the Crystal Reports registry keys for the particular users in the Current User Hive to reset to defaults but that doesn't work either. I have uninstall and reinstalled the program numerous times. I tried diffrent service packs, 1, 2 and 3 all with the same result.
    We don't have a Crystal Reports server we are just using the program to formulate reports coming out of a SQL database but at this point we can't even start the program to connect to the database.
    The computers running the software are the following:
    HP 6730b Business Notebooks
    2GB of RAM
    2.4GHz Core 2 Duo
    250GB HD
    Windows XP SP3
    Latest Windows updates as of September 15, 2010
    McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.7i up to date as of yesterday October 11th, 2010

    I found the solution late last night. Apparently the Start Page for Crystal Reports is what is causing the problem becuase when I tried to open in IE 8 it would give me errors about scripts on the page. It looks like SAP didn't properly program in a try and catch statement when loading the start page that would catch the error instead of crashing out the program. Since the Start Page doesn't hold any useful information anyways I just disabled it by replacing the start.html file in
    %PROGRAMFILES%\Business Objects\Business Objects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\Start Page\en with a blank HTML document so that there is nothing to load that could upset Crystal Reports and cause it to perform Sepukku.
    I think I am going to put out a patch to my users today to disable all their start pages before my helpdesk gets clogged with requests.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Passing Cuztomized Culture Settings to Report

    I have a web application developed in Visual Studio 2010. It uses reports developed in CR 2011 for VS 2010.I am facing number format issues.
    Report needs to format numbers in the culture of the user who is loggedin the application. We store culture settings for each country in database with two custom settings: number of decimal places and rounding.
    1) Before exporting report to PDF, I set Thread's culture to the desired country's culture and override default decimal/rounding settings. The resultant PDF displays numbers in correct format except my changes in the culture i.e. decimal and rounding places. Instead it always shows 2 decimal places.
    I tested this entire scenario by making a sample application and using regional settings of my machine. Still the same issue. It appears, crystal always takes the CultureId of the culture and uses default settings in that culture and ignores whatever we override.
    2) When I export the same report above to excel, it doesn't format number's to the Thread's culture at all. Instead it always export's numbers based on my regional settings instead of the culture I am setting at runtime.
    Interestingly, it exports to the desired format if I use ToText function in crystal.
    Could anybody help here?

  • Retrieve crystal report file print settings

    I have crystal reports 10 report file, in which I edited the printer settings... collate and number of copies(2) and saved it.
    now i want to print it from VB6. I am using a customized print dialog form (not using the common dialog control)
    I want to get the collate and number of copies settings from the rpt file. how can I get those details. any API available?

    Hello Sankar  ,
    as you refer to the legacy technology VB6 I recommend to post this query to the [Legacy Application Development SDKs|SAP Crystal Reports - Legacy SDKs; forum.
    This forum is dedicated to topics related to legacy SDKs, including the Report Designer Component (RDC), OCX, VCL, and Crystal Reports Print Engine (CRPE).
    It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
    Also, all Legacy Application Development SDKs queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

  • Crystal Reports XI  Dates appearing in US format instead of UK Settings

    Hi,
    When I am running reports from my java Web Application using crystal reports XI,  the dates are being displayed as mm/dd/yyyy even though the regional settings are set to dd/mm/yyyy and the date format of the reports is set to use System Default Short Format.
    The database used is Oracle 9i.
    Any idea what should I change in the configuration to make the dates appear as  dd/mm/yyyy?
    Thanks.

    Hi Again,
    In the report, I put the date format as the system default short date format so that it takes the date format from the server.
    I tried the following:
                Locale x = new Locale(req.getHeader("Accept-Language"));
                clientDoc.setLocale(x);
    but I got the error:
          Invalid parameter value: exceeds the Min or Max or conflicts with existing value or edit mask---- Error code:-2147217382 Error code name:failed
    I get this when I am checking if it has a sub report using:
    IStrings subrepstrings = clientDoc.getSubreportController()
                        .querySubreportNames();
    Do u know how can I solve thiis?

  • BI4.0 Crystal Reports Enterprise - Citrix v proxy settings

    Hi
    When we install CRE4.0 on an individual desktop we have to manually set the proxy settings and also import a config file that has all the various server connections configured.
    However, we also want to deply CRE4.0 on Citrix Metaframe.  We have doen this successfully but any particualr user still needs to manually set the proxy settings and import the server connections config file.
    Is there anyway we can configure Citrix so that these settings are already configured for any particular user accessing CRE4.0 through Citrix.
    Cheers
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    the settings for the Eclipse Engine powering CR4E are saved under:
    C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Business Objects\Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI 4.0\configuration14.0.2.364
    (replace 14.0.2.364 with your appropriate build number)
    While this would definitely be no supported way of doing it, I would try to create a configuration template for CR4E and roll it out to your users. Be sure to test it with one before "fixing" the whole As long as it works ... you should be fine with it.
    Btw, proxy settings can be found in
    C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Business Objects\Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI 4.0\configuration14.0.2.364\.settings\org.eclipse.core.net.prefs
    Cheers,

  • Problem with Crystal Report XI and Regional Settings

    Dear All,
    I am working on Crystal Report XI under Chinese Windows 2000 Professional and Chinese Visual Foxpro 9.0.
    I created a User defined Function Library under VFP9.0 as an ActiveX with a function that return a String. I could saw the function in CR XI and the function works fine when returning English. When the function returning a Chinese String, CR XI gives different result. The Chinese text returned from the function only works when my regional settings (control panel -> regional settings) is set to Chinese Taiwan otherwise it shows "??????".
    It is queer, the text object always correct, shows Chinese text, no matter what regional settings is. I did try my best in VFP to convert the string to double byte, unicode, etc but it stilll doesn't work.
    Could anyone help me please. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Antony

    If you have the correct font, it will actually say "MS Arial Unicode" in any of the font drop downs - CR Designer, MS Word or any other software. So, you'll have to ensure that the font is installed.

  • Settings for the check crystal reports

    Hey all,
    I have created a custom check printing crystal report. Now i have to tell the process to pick my custom crystal report instead of APY2021-.
    Can anyone tell me what should i do to print the checks according to my custom crystal report. Can you provide with navigations because i am new to financials.
    Thank you,
    Bye.

    Hey Sachin,
    I went to the path you have told me. It is showing the process name as APY2021-.
    But if i print a check now, It is not printing through APY2021-. It is printing through a custom Crystal report called Checkprint.rpt, which is inside a subfolder "custom".
    I dont know how it is printing through the custom crystal report.
    Can you please tell me where should we see for that.

  • Crystal Report Image Problem

    On launching the Crystal Report we are getting the error "Failed to get the specific page." this is shown above the Crystal report viewer.  In the bottom of the viewer "Error:Programming Error" is displayed.  The same report is working fine when the image is removed in the rpt file.
    Opertaing System : Windows Server 2008 Standard with Service pack1 (64 bit server).
                                    IIS is running in 32 bit
    Crystal Report Version : Crystal Report XI.  (It is not release 2)
    It is a web based application coded in C# for launching the report.
    Steps that has been verified are
    1. Modifying the App pool from integrated to clasic
    2. In the web.config http handlers has been included (under classic mode)
    3. In the integrated mode i tried with <handlers> entries in System.Webserver that too got failed.
    <handlers>
         <add name="CrystalImageHandler.aspx_GET" verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandlerPage, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=<version>, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=<keytoken>" preCondition="integratedMode"/>
    </handlers>
    <validation validateIntegratedModeConfiguration="false"/>
    Is there any hot fix or settings available for this issue.
    Please Note : The same report deliverables are working fine in Crystal Reports XI Release 2 and Windows 2003 server.

    Your best bet is to install the last service pack for XI and use the same level runtime for deployment and give it a shot or just move to XI R2.
    XI hasnt been supported for quite a while and was never tested or supported on Win2008 or 64 bit servers as far as I know.
    I didnt see anything specific to this that wasnt fixed by a hotfix.
    Are you publishing this as a web service or a regular web app?

  • Crystal Reports 2008 - Report Load error - Memory Leak Error?

    Hello
    <br>
    We have a problem with Crystal Reports 2008 with .NET 2.0.
    <br>
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, Version=12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304
    <br>
    The problem is that during high amount of report producing, errors in eventlog pops up and the production of reports using <br>
    Crystal Reports stops.
    <br>
    Below are examples of the three most common event logs.
    <br>
    We have tried to implement a cleanup method both as a destructor (with a global ReportDocument rdoc variable) and using direct call to cleanUpDoc() method when finished with loading doc:
    <br>
    ~IOServerClass()
    <br>
    <br>
                cleanupDoc();
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
            private void cleanupDoc()
    <br>
    <br>
                try
    <br>
    <br>
                    if (rdoc != null)
    <br>
    <br>
                        rdoc.Close();
    <br>
                        rdoc.Dispose();
    <br>
                        rdoc = null;
    <br>
    <br>
                    this.CleanGlobalEvents();
    <br>
                    System.GC.Collect();
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    <br>
    The doc is loading using the "normal" method (in-process).
    <br>
    <br>
    try
    <br>
    <br>
                        rdoc = new ReportDocument();
    <br>
                        rdoc.Load(fullpathandreport);
    <br>
    <br>
                   catch (Exception ex)
    <br>
    <br>
                    cleanupDoc();
    <br>
    <br>
    ...process doc....
    <br>
    cleanupDoc();
    <br>
    <br>
    Furthermore we have tried during Scalable tests of the system - but cannot produce the below errors ourselves. Only the customer can.
    <br>
    Please help with solving this problem.
    Is the above advisable to do?
    Should the document be loaded in another way?
    Is it a memory leak?
    <br>
    Regards
    Kristian

    Hi;
    First, ensure you have the latest service pack / hot fix for your version of Crystal Reports, and that the client has the same updates as well. Fix Pack 2.4 is the current latest, and can be downloaded from our downloads section.
    One of the errors is the Background Processing error, so have a look at the following article:
