CUMA support for Unity based on Lotus Domino

In reviewing documentation, CUMA v3 specifically says it does not support Domino back ended voicemail. However, this isn't spefically stated in the v7 documentation one way or the other.
Does anyone know if Domino based Unity is supported for CUMA v7?

It is Unity w/Exchange. Here is the documentation -

States only for Exchange. Basically, CUMA connects to IMAP over 143 (TCP) for VoiceMail Adapter to Exchange. There is no documentation states it does support domino.

Unity 7.0 & Lotus Domino 8.5.3 "Error Encrypting notes password"

Hi Guys,
Hope I can seek a little help here. I am trying to setup a Unity 7.0 in a lab to use Lotus Domino 8.5.3 as the message store. I've installed ES41 so that it support domino 8.5.3.
I already have the UnityInstall, UnityAdmin & UnitySvc accounts configured and ran the permission wizard successfully.
But when come to the message store configuration wizard, i'm hitting the bump of "error encrypting notes password" and second error of "could not set the config password"
I've found a similiar thread for this but the solution doesn't work for me. (https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/1213310#1213310)
things I've done so far:
reinstall notes, manually create the notes 6.0 5.0 registry key as per bug id CSCsb76049, change the password as per CSCsx19170,
also checked the whoami /priv did have backup & restore listed.
Any help on this is much appreciated.

Update on this, I've also done the procedures of "Patch Cisco Unity for IBM Lotus Notes 8.x Support" &
"Add the Domino 8.5.x MailFileTmplt Registry Key on the Cisco Unity Server" according to

Any kind soul?

Support for Internet based client Management - SCCM 2012

My Company wants to go for Internet based client Management in SCCM 2012 SP1 R2 and here is the design I'm proposing. I'm getting a bit confused at one point and need suggestion....
Everything would work on HTTPS ( PKI Certificate based )... LAN and Internet.
1 Primary ( with non-client facing roles installed ) on LAN with two site systems.
- One Site System configured for INTRANET support only with MP, DP and SUP -> To support LAN users ( Allow
Intranet-only connections )
- One Site System configured for INTERNET support only with MP, DP and SUP -> To support Internet users ( Allow
Internet-only connections )
The INTERNET facing site system is in DMZ network connected to parent Primary via Firewall.
We want internet clients to talk to ONLY DMZ SCCM Site System and no connection to corporate LAN. We cannot open any ports for internet based clients to LAN.
If this is the supported scenario, then why we need to put the Internet FQDN in the Primary server Site System property. This server would not be available to internet. It should only be my DMZ SCCM server client should connect for MP, DP and SUP and only
this DMZ server should be accessible to client over internet.
Also, what least ports should be opened between :
- Parent Primary and its internet facing site system kept in DMZ
- DMZ Site system and internet clients.

The FQDN has only to be specified on the Internet facing site system. You can leave this field blank on the primary site Server.

Itunes support for ION based atom dual core

Hello,
Hi I have built a very nice quiet low power media centre based on the acer 3610 dual atom/Ion graphics. It can run 1080p smoothly with boxee, firefox/BBc iplayer, and MPC-HC. What I cant do is use Itunes to download the many excellent HD programmes in the store; it doesnt take advantage of the ion hardware and the atom just cant cut it alone.
Will Apple ever provide support for this market? seems there could be significant revenue stream being overlooked.

Support for REST based storage systems

Hi,
I have a question on the target storage for the movies served by the Flash Media server. In your FAQ you mention that data can be stored on a local server or remote location. I assume you are referring to CIFS and NFS mountpoints? Do you support any REST based storage solution as a backend for the Adobe Streaming server? For example could I store my data on an Amazon S3, OpenStack,... compliant storage solution.

As more and more object storage systems come into the market I strongly recommend you to integrate with a native Amazon S3 and OpenStack API instead of recommending a FUSE implementation.

SPWeb.ProcessBatchData - why no support for query-based updating?

I'm aware how to use SPWeb.ProcessBatchData, but for very large lists (10000+ items) it's still very slow if all you want to do is update every single item to have a particular value in one column, as you still have to walk the whole list to build
a massive batch query that you then pass to ProcessBatchData, and the updates issued to SQL server are still much more expensive than needed.
My question is why doesn't ProcessBatchData support query-based updating, where you include a <Where> clause as part of the batch query to indicate which items you want to update?

Only SharePoint team can answer your question I think, but yes it would be better to have the query option, maybe. However, you can still do what you want but doing a little extra work - get all items IDs using the first SPQuery call (passing ViewFields
with minimum fields, you many not need all fields, maybe title and ID) then prepare your xml for process batch.

Air support for Intel based Android devices

My company is currently developing a cross-platform app, but we've hit a snag - it won't run on Intel based Android devices.
The reason we chose Air is because we thought it would be truly cross-platform for the benefit of our customers, but it seems we missed this information somehow...
We want our customers to be able to use our solution on any Android device, and we're not sure how much this limitation will affect this (we need to consider the worst case scenario).
We are now fairly far into development and while we don't want to drop this project and start over using another framework which will work on all Android devices, we do need to take it into consideration.
I have read the documentation and I know that as it currently stands, information about Intel support has not been made public.
But, for our business decisions and for our customers, we do need to know is if supporting these devices is on the roadmap in any shape or form, or if it will probably never be supported?

Not sure if it helps, but I chose to use Xamarin instead. Managed to auto convert about 80% of the ActionScript code into C#. The rest 20% is UI code only which has to be different for iOS and Android. The whole project took about 1.5 months (just iOS so far) and the new app was submitted to Apple yesterday. The process was pretty smooth and I didn't really face any serious issues with the platform. Now I'm waiting for my users feedback. The platform still has to prove itself though since my testing was quite limited.

Wildcard Certifiate support for Unity Connection

Does Unity Connection started supporting Wildcard cerficates for the Unified messaging with Exchange integration?
CUPS 8.6.4 started supporting it for Calendar integration but we are not getting any document related to Unity Connection which states its supported now.

Thanks for the question.
Okay so I did some digging and found a few details that will help clear this up.
1. The documentation is wrong and we will be getting it correct as soon as we can. The CUC 9 admin guides states that you need to create an 'External Service' however this configuration has been changed.
2. Yes, Exch 2010 and I'm sure Exch 2013 will be supported. TTS uses IMAP for the connection method and as long as Exch permits IMAP traffic you're good.
3. To configure TTS, of course enable IMAP for Exchange. On the CUC side, you'll need to start with the class of service and check the following "Allow Access to Exchange Email by Using Text to Speech (TTS)". Then you'll need to create a new unified messaging service where you add the details of the Exch server and make sure to check "
Access Exchange Email by Using Text to Speech (TTS)". Then apply that UM service to an end user and test. FYI, when you check the message from the TUI it will be the option of external messages (default option 7).

Adding support for Latin-Based Characters

Hello everyone, I tried looking around and I couldn't find anything that could help me and this is why i'm creating this thread.
I'm using Oracle Express Edition 10g, and I was exporting and importing data to my database using XML files, but since some of the data that I'm adding to the database contains special characters (in this case Spanish) when I take a look at the table created from the XML files, they do not upload correctly.
For example the word "Médula" turns into "M�la �ea", which makes me believe I have to change the unicode settings or maybe install something.

Yes, I was using the first method.
The 2nd method sort of tells me the default Unicode option isn't the one I want as a default method.
When I use the 2nd method and I change the File Character Set (From Unicode UTF-8 to another one for example Western/Eastern European) it uploads the file with no problems and no corrupted characters.
Is there are a way to change that when uploading XML files or change the default Character set?
Edit 1 : I tried uploading a XML file with a character set and I still get corrupted data when I upload
<?xml version = "1.0" encoding = "windows-1252"?>
Edit 2: I tried uploading the same XML file using Load "Text" instead of using the Load XML option and when I get to choose the Character and change it to something else besides standard unicode it actually reads the data fine, although it doesn't no add the content of the xml file to the date inside the database.
I'm still trying to figure out how to upload my XML files through the Load XML option without getting corruption of data

Classic support for Intel based iMac4

My machine came with a CD that doesn't contains Calssic Support.
I Need to Run Classic Applications like QuarkXpress 4/5.
Is there any chance to do these?
My OSX is 10.4.6

Just additional info on Sheepshaver: It has quite specific requirements. It will not run an version later than 9.0.4 and you'll need to find the correct ROM to use it as well. It's a bit kludgy. Frankly, I think it's time to upgrade to a later version of these apps.

Every time I connect my JVC GZ-HD7 HighDef HDD camcorder via Firewire to my computer, my Macbook says "JVC GZ-HD7" under plugged in firewire devices, and Quicktime broadcaster sees it as well, but whenever I select it as a video source on Quicktime broadcaster, I dont get any video to broadcast. All I get is a black screen.
