Cumulated values with 0FYTCFP variable

Hi All,
Can anyone write me how to use 0FYTCFP variable to design query with value of current period and cumulated values of previous periods. I tried to use this variable with 0P_FPER to which I manually enter current period, but BEx returns a message "The variable 0FYTCFP couldn't be repalced"

I can, but I want to use on input variable in for example '010.2005' way and basing on this value dynamically specify the 001.2005-010.2005 period.

How to use List of values with bind variables on item?

I made a dynamic list of values with a bind variable as a provider. I tried to run the list, and it worked fine - i filled inn the bind variable when asked for, and i got a list of values to choose from.
I would very much like to use this list of values as an attribute on a custom made item. My wish is that when creating the item you someplace write the bind variable, and the list will then turn up as wanted. (I could f.ex add the variable as an attribute on the page type)
I tried to create a custom attribute and assign the list of values to it. It created an error when I then tried to add the attribute to the item.
Does anyone have any idea on how to solve this?

Cumulative value with Agg. reference char.

hi,
If you go to the display of the key figure, in the second tab Aggregation, how should we use Agg. reference char with Cumulative value radio button checked.
I read SAP help but could not get it.Please explain with examples.

Aggregation :
This flied is the standard aggregation with three options - Min,Max,Sum
Exception Aggregation :
This field determines how the KF is aggregated in the BEx in relation to the
exception characteristic.
The key figure Number of Employees can be aggregated using the ref .characteristic Cost Center (Non-time characteristic).
Here you would determine a time characteristic as an exception characteristic with, for example, the aggregation last value.
For Non Cumulative values:
If you want to aggregate the KF value in business explorer using the non time characteristics like 0person.... then your standard aggrgation field should have summation value
and if you want to aggregate the KF value in the business explorer using the time char.
like 0calmonth, then your exception aggregation field should have last,average.... values (not equal to summation)

Hi,
A non-cumulative is a non-aggregating key figure on the level of one or more objects, which is always displayed in relation to time. Examples of non-cumulatives include headcount, account balance and material inventory.
If you use non-cumulative key figures, an absolute non-cumulative value (the marker) and all non-cumulative value changes are saved in the fact table of the InfoCube. In this way, the retention and volume of data in the data loading process is optimized. A data record is then only loaded to the InfoCube if a non-cumulative changes because of a transaction. Non-cumulatives can then be evaluated at any time in queries, using non-cumulative key figures.

Replacement Path Variable with Another Variable

Hi,
I am currently trying to create a report that would need me to have the same values for different characteristics (e.g. clearing date, posting date, net due date). I have seen that there is a way in the replacement path variable that would replace its value with another variable that is ready for input. I also looked into SAP help but I can't seem to figure out on how to do it specifically. Does anyone know a step-by-step process on how to do this? How does this work?

take an e.g.
u have characteristic say ch1
u want to restrict it with replacement path variable
first of all create a variable var1
click what it is based upon for e.g. 0calday, 0material etc.
make it user entry variable
select single or multiple entry
make it mandatory
save it and hit okey
click on ch1
right click and say restrict
in new window create a new variable
give its name and technical name
processing path is replacement path
go to next tab of replacement path
select several ooptions
replace variable with another variable
select a variable called var1
change the offset length and offset start with different parameters.
hit okey
this way u have restricted ch1 with replacement path variable var1
now when u run report u have to enter value of var1
which will then further feeded to ch1
this way u can create replacement path variables at lots of instances and then u can always feed the value from var1 at different time
make sure as this ur requirement is date
try to use 0calday as reference infoobject all the times....

Inventory Management (Non-cumulative values)

Dear experts,
I want to extract inventory data from 2LIS_03_BF.
How do I have to configure the Key figures; for example: 0VALSTCKQTY. Is there a need to use Non-cumulative value with in- and outflow as in Content.
Which other possibilities exist?
After InfoObject config. - what are the exact next steps?
Do I load data from the 3 DataSources 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM into one DSO first and then into one cube or do I have to split?
I dont want to use the BC data flow.

Non-cumulative value KF

Hi:
I have given the Aggregation as SUM and the Excepiton Aggregation as Last Value for a non-cumulative KF Quantity Total Stock for Inventory. I am using Non-cumulative value with in- Receipt Quantity Total Stock and out-flow Issue Quantity Total Stock. Then I can calculate Quantity Total Stock in Query.
But I have another requirement, I want to a KF to count 0Material whose Quantity Total Stock not equal 0. In fact, for a Non-cumulative value, the Aggregation reference char of KF Quantity Total Stock is 0calday, but what I want is 0Material. How could I create such KF?

The basic purpose of Non-cumulatives is to get the values for them depending upon the Time Characterestics alone and not on any other characterestics. As far as I know you cant use 0MATERIAL as the aggregation reference Char.

How to get all the values of a variable with F4 with checkboxes to select

Dear Experts,
After Executing a query by giving let 3 values(Out of 10 Values) to a variable.
To give 2 more input values to the same variable(i.e.,total I wanted to give 5 inputs this time ),after refreshing the query,for that variable if I click F4, I am seeing the historical values(i.e.,3) and remaining 7 values also But with out any Check Boxes besides them to select the 2 inputs.
In the same F4 Screen, If I click all values(an Icon at The bottom),then also Im seeing but no check Box.
I hve tried by deleting the Delete Personalization also,but no use.
Please tell me How to get all the values with F4 with check boxes to select ,whatever I want??

Take a look at the InfoObject and go to the Business Explorer tab. If the 'Query Def. Filter Value Selection' is set to 'Only Values in InfoProvider', you're only going to get the values in F4 that exist in the InfoProvider, not everything in the Master Data. This would need to be changed to the value of 'Values in Master Data Table' if you want it to show everything possible when F4 is chosen.
Likewise, you're going to need to look at the query and go to the Advanced tab for the InfoObject. Make sure that the radio button for 'Values in Master Data Table' is selected. If not, then you should change that selection.

Replacement Path: Replacement with a Variable Value

How I can show the value of a variable entered by the user in the description of the column in the report?
X and Y are variables entered by the user and reflect the lower limits of the range for count documents
Example

Use a text variable in the column description,
and use replacement path to show the descriptions as required.
lets say you have variable 1 and variable 2
create two text variables with processing type replacement path and select the above variables for each.
Eg. the descriptions of your columns would be something like this after using text variables
Total number of documents which are lower than &txt_var_x&.
Total number of documents which are between &txt_var_x&. and &txt_var_y&..
Total number of documents which are greater than &txt_var_y&..

How come my local variable is not updating it's value with respect to what's happening in the while loop?

Hello,
I am trying to extract data out of a while loop as my declarations update with respect to the iteration number. I have attempted to use both local variables and shift registers, but with no luck.
I have also done the following example: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/7585/en and it works like a charm.
I attached the PNG file with local variable declaration circled in red. Will attach a VI in the next respnose.

Can you explain what it is supposed to do? What's the purpose of the value property node read which only seems to update an indicator.
The inner while loop should proably be a FOR loop, because the number of iterations is known before the loop starts.
Your use of formula nodes seems overly complicated.

Issue with Cumulative Value in BW Query

Here am trying to calculate a percentage over the two key figures which has the cumulative check in Calculation
but in result the percentage is appearing with non-cumulative values though am selecting the cumulative kf in formula.
find below the example :
C-OQTY --> Cumulative Ord Qty -- This is based on OQTY wherein the properties under Calculation i haved the Cumulated
C-TOQTY-->Cumulative Total Ord Qty --This is based on TOQTY wherein the properties under Calculation i haved the Cumulated

How to archive info cube with non-cumulatives values ??

It's regarding archiving, but right now archiving in Info Cube with cumulative values like Info cube movement.
Because it's rather different than other cube due it has marker ..
I've already read from article discussing about archiving, it said i must archive the data before the marker (it's if i'm not having incorrect understanding). But right now, i don't know where the marker is ??
My questions are:
1. Could somebody help me please giving me explanation regarding it ??
2. If don't mind, would you like to explain me step-by-step how to archive it ??
3. Is my comprehension above correct that we have to archive data before the marker ?? If yes, how can i know where the marker is (What date does the marker point to ?? ) ??

can any one tell the concept of non cumulative with non cumulative value change with an example with numbers,i am bit confused .
like we have for non *** inflow and outflow- stocks inflow and outflow so non *** is based on inflow and inflow.

If I under stand your question correctly you wish to have an example of where non cumulative values are used and you have given the value of stock? If so here is an example with figures
So you would do an initial load loading the opening balances of Stock.
Say material number 12345 = 100 units
After that, only movements will be posted so Stock will either increase or decrease depending on what image is posted via the change log.
So there will be a purchase of material 12345 for 50 units so now the balance of material is 150.
But then you could use or sell 70 units of material 12345 so you stock value would be 80 units

The If Statement is no problem.
I need the value of the variable FISCYEAR. So the value of the variable is the If-Statement. I tried to use a formula variable but don't get correct values. With BW 2004 I used the text and compared it with the string "2005". BW 2004s gives me the error message the if using the text, the value of the variable depends on the language which is not supported
