CUOM 2.3 to 8.6 hardware/software requirement

Hi Guys,
My Customer will do upgrade CUOM 2.3 to 8.6 and have the following doubt, about the hardware/software requeriment
Hardware

·        16 GB de memória
·        100 GB de HD
Software
·        Windows 2008 32 bits
Virtualization
-  VMware ESXi 5.0.
This setup is correct? Are there support ESXi 5.0 to version CUOM 8.6?
Thanks,

  • Wireless Client Hardware/Software requirements

We are building a new wireless network full of the 3500 series LWAP.  Along with this new wireless network, my boss wants me to provide her with minimum hardware/software specifications for all new wireless clients purchased.  I know the basic stuff such as 802.11n dual band, etc...  I was wondering if anyone had a good list of detailed requirements that would provide me with a best case connection for my wireless clients on the new network that they would share with me.
    Thanks for any Help
In a nut shell, i need to make sure the wireless clients we purcahse for our new network can take full advantage of our wireless network.  i want to make sure i'm educated on more details besides the basic requirements of 802.11n dual band specification.  There must be more detailed technical requiremetns i need to be aware of so I can be sure i don't end up with a bunch of flaky half working wireless clients.

thanks for you help.  I got the following infomration from sales team
at Cisco.  They say it should be sufficient requirements of any proposed wireless clients:
o   Provide options to control roaming between wireless access points.
    o   Dual-band support
    o   AES support
    o   802.1x supplicant support
o   CCX (Information can be found at the following link: http://www.cisco.com/web/partners/pr46/pr147/partners_pgm_partners_0900aecd800a7907.html)

  • Hardware/software requirements to support cable broadband

I have a grape iMac G3 (333mhz)running OS 8.6 and am curious to know if this system, in it's current configuration is capable of supporting broadband via cable? Cox Communications is my cable provider and their stated minimum requirments lead me to believe it will not.
    Any advice is appreciated.
iMac G3, 333mhz "grape"   Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier

...they say I have to have either windows xp2000 or 98(second edition)
This clearly summarizes AOL's support for Mac users - ignoring it entirely. ;-|
Actually you can get AOL Client for OS X here. Personally I hated every minute of the 4 months I paid for AOL. It was painfully slow and their Mac software wasn't great back then - but that was only my experience - there are cheaper and quicker ISPs out there who can give you broadband without any software needing installing.

           4. SharePoint Deployment/Staging environment with all required services

    Regards,
    Siva

    Hi Siva_SREC,
My environment built for three developers is a 3-tier SharePoint farm. The physical hardware has 32 GB RAM divided as the following virtual machines that all get hosted inside Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V (Datacenter edition)
Active Directory - 2 GB: Used to provide authentication to all joined virtual machines in the farm.
Enterprise Database - 6GB: Used to host all SharePoint databases and TFS database.
3 x SharePoint Farm - 6GB: It depends on how big your project are. For example, if you need each develop to develop SharePoint in particular farm then you should separate 3 farms. Each farm has a SharePoint farm configuration database and relevant database.
If you need multiple developers to develop on the same farm then you need to join another server to the existing farm.
Team Foundation Server - 4GB: Used to store source code and files and for development collaboration
We have remaining 2 GB and it's quite enough for the physical host to run Hyper-V. I've also had a few other machines for specific purpose. For example, I've done building a single WAC farm that provides Office Web App service to SharePoint. I could turn
off one of SharePoint machines when my developer isn't working in order to test OWA. If you are having chances to work on SharePoint 2013 app development project so you would need to have a dedicated machine acting as a Provider that is responsible for providing
web service to the SharePoint. Of course in this case you use provider-hosted app or the combination of SharePoint-hosted app and provider-hosted app. Personally, this machine shouldn't be joined to the AD domain controller. It should be a separate AD because
in real-world scenario, your provider isn't the same AD with client's environment.
In terms of SharePoint topology design, I'd consider configuring 2-tier farm (WFE & App) because in many cases, you would have to deploy your solution in the environment that has many machines separated each other.
At the end of the day, it all depends on your budget and the size of your project. I would say there is no silver bullet on the hardware requirement. For example, the hardware needed for large project is totally different from the one for just SharePoint
    branding task.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Hardware/Software needed for WebForms?

My company is planning on migrating a Forms 3.0 application to
WebForms (we need to support both Win95/98 PCs and Macintoshes).
I understand the basic 3-tier structure (i.e. database server,
application server and browser based client), but I'm still
unsure of what hardware and software is actually needed for the

application server assuming that I don't have anything yet (NT
or Unix)? Also, what are the general memory/disk requirements if
the server needs to support about 100 concurrent connections?

there is an Oracle marketing slogan about the Norwegian tax
ministery (or so) running with about 5000 users concurrently.
But they are only dealing with the number not further details.
I'm just pushing a customer with a +- 100 form app to the web
and they want ot go production in mid February. They (especially
their admins) are very open to the technology and there are only
some issues on prinitng from forms using customs documents,
invoices and delivery notes. But I think after some changing of
the print philosphy it will be working.
If you are interested mail me and I will try to give you some
    hints after production.
