CUP Email Dispatcher Job Recurrence Interval

Hi team,
I am not able to define a Value less than 3600 Seconds for Email Dispatcher job.Schedule type is other.
Between : 0:00 am to 11:00 pm
Every Second :< X >
I need this X=60 or say 120 but its not allowing me to enter anything less than 3600.
ERROR : Enter a valid numeric value for Every Second, Value greater than or equal to Background Job Time Interval 3600
Please suggest.

Hi team,
I was able to rectify this.
Under the Miscellaneous the background job interval was 60 minutes ,hence it was not allowing.
Although i had changed that value i missed to take the restart and hence the issue.
Now i can change the value.

How to set the Charge's email checking frequency polling interval?

HI. Does anybody know the secret for setting the email checking frequency polling interval?
During setup I get two options: Push and Never.     If I choose push I find no options for setting the check frequency to 15 min, 1 hour, etc......
Am I missing something?    Would like to tune it to consume an optimal amount of battery.

After testing on Droid Charge myself, yes the only options for changing "Email Check Frequency" are "Automatic (Push)" and "Never". Job recurrence

Hi All,
I have scheduled one script to run every day with no end date specified.
As per Redwood documentation, system creates individual jobs resulting from the recurrence. If a structured recurrence has no end date, a maximum of 100 jobs or jobs until two years ahead are created, whichever is less. Then when a job has run the system will automatically schedule a new job at the end of the recurrence.
So in my case also 100 jobs have got created.
Now I want to run this job with reference to some submit frame, so I choose one of the scheduled jobs and in next pop up choose to edit all occurrences and change it to schedule with reference to one submit frame.
But to my surprise all other scheduled jobs do not get deleted. I think this should be the case. As for these scheduled jobs, the scheduling condition remains the same as past (in this example daily).
Please suggest if you know how to handle this.

As I said, the scheduling condition for all other jobs remains daily only. It does not change to submit frame.
And when some job is scheduled with reference to time window or submit frame, only one job should be present in scheduled condition. And in case of job recurrence options (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly), if a structured recurrence has no end date, a maximum of 100 jobs or jobs until two years ahead are created, whichever is less. Then when a job has run the system will automatically schedule a new job at the end of the recurrence. This is what Redwood documentation says.
So in my case I first scheduled the job with recurrence as daily and then tried to change the scheduling condition to submit frame.

Trying to email something and get email stating job received..but get error when tries to print

just got eprint...trying to email to printer..i get a email stating job sent...but i get error with printer...can you email with 3G or do you have to wifi?

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried all of those first-quiting, restarting, disk permissions repair in the utility.
I have unlimited FTP space (confirmed with Go Daddy)and 64 gigs left on computer, so space isn't the issue.
There is a png somewhere and I think it's in the PRAISE file, but have no idea how to find it and delete it.
I can work on IWEB and create stuff, I can save it, but I can't publish it.
With 2 radio shows to keep current, this is a problem. Any other thoughts?

CUP: Email Reminder background job problem

I have been experiencing a problem in CUP for Email Reminder background job. The job is always in "BUSY" status. It is not in "Available" status as others! Can somebody help me on this?

We have the same problem, but with escalation job. The message was opened in the 19th of May this year, but it's still in process. At the begining consultants suggested us to upgrade our system with the latest SP, but it doesn't work. We are on the latest SP with all patches but the problem persists. Of cource, we met all requirements for job planning, and performance suggested by different SAP specialist - nothing is changed.
I think it would be better if you write the message directly to SAP hotline. You are not alone

CUP Email Reminder

Hi,
Is it possible to send more than 1 email reminder to approvers who have not approved the requests in time? When testing CUP is sending reminder only once based on the value 'Select No. Of Days'. We would like to send reminders more than once after the approvers fail to approve the request. How can this be achieved? Ideally we would like 3 notifications be sent 1 every day after the request has been open for 'Select No. Of Days' ?

Thanks for the reply. Job is scheduled to run daily and we are now getting notified correctly based on the number of days. I guess we can not count the number of reminders being sent or there is an option to include that in the email.
I have two questions about stale request process.
Is there any option to get notified once the stale request is canceled by CUP?
Request audit log shows a ID that has been used to cancel the stale request. This ID is not entered in 'Support' configuration and this screen is blank. Where does CUP gets this ID from?

Problem with CUPS and Canceling jobs

I am using OS 10.3.9 on a 1.42 MDD PowerMac
I am having a problem trying to cancel Jobs using the CUPS interface. When I select "Cancel" I get an error "client-error-forbidden".
I have tried logging in as Root but the same error occurs.
I have run "CacheOut" and deleted all cache thinking that it would solve my problem.
I can't seem to find any answers anywhere.
I have 1 fax job and 1 print job that I would like to remove from the Que.
If I knew where these files were I would manually delete them, but I cannot find them, except in the CUPS interface
I was thinking of installing CUPS 1.2b2, as it has more features and maybe it would solve my problem.
Are there any problems that I should know about before installing this software. If I install it I can't go back to my original CUPS without re-installing the system.

I assume you're talking about accessing your printer from your browser by using the URL http://127.0.0.1:631/printers/
Understand you can't log in as Admin?
Do you have an appication named after your printer in the folder Home/Library/Printers ? If so, click on it and see if you can see your job.
If not, try downloading Printer Setup Repair from:
http://www.fixamacsoftware.com/software/index.html
Seems to do a great job in fixing problems, and might restore your ability to monitor your print jobs. I was only able to monitor and delete my print jobs through the CUPS interface on my browser until I ran Printer Setup Repair. After that, I was able to use the application mentioned in my first paragraph to do the monitoring (and it works great!)

We are on Netweaver 2004s, ERP 6 .
I am scheduling (in SM36) a standard report output as background job, send its output to a pdf device and send this pdf automatically to email address. Everything is working fine except that I am not able to do the following:
1. Cannot change the email title (APR****-spool request no.) and body from "The Mail Attachment Contains the Print File Created by User..."
2. I need to send the email to several people. Cannot use the distribution list with the pdf device. IF I use in sm36 "spool list recipients" instead, the attachment sent as pdf will result truncated. Not all report lines will show.
Could someone help on any of the above?

GRC AC 10.0: Info about rejected roles in the CUP Email

the GRC componetent CUP seems to be technically mature in comparison to Role Management component, but there is one thing where I am not sure, is it an error or did I miss some config parameters:
When the CUP Request ist closed, the user gets an email (Template ID: GRAC_AR_CLOSE). Not all of the roles were approved, some of the roles were rejected. But the user gets an email where only the approved roles are listed:
We would like to inform the user about the status of all roles in the CUP requests: which roles were approved and which roles were rejected. Is it possible to configure in MSMP Workflow?

To notify the requester for the roles which got rejected, you can try with Email notification template: GRAC_MSMP_ERM_REJECTED for the for the message class.

CUP email message link 5.3 GRC

Hi,
I have another problem setting up the CUP, this time with the link that CUP sends the user, directing the user to the "Request status search" link. The exact link is:

However, if the user clicks on this link, they are directed to a version of CUP, which to my eyes looks to be slightly different than the one in which I am working (below). None of the requests work from this link such as firefighter etc. The actual link I want to direct the users to is:

Now, I was not involved with the set-up of this GRC system, but does anyone know:
1. What the difference is between the _apr link and the first one. It may sound crazy but I believe the first link is possibly an older version of GRC that does not work properly. The strange this is when you log off from the 2nd link (the correct one), it redirects to the 1st link(the wrong one), which gives me a problem again as if a user is following my documentation and then logs out, he will be redirected to the wrong area.
2. How can I change the link in the email to direct the user to the correct area of GRC?

Sorry to say Ben, but this links have nothing do with Workflow. The following link is sent to requestor so that they can check the request status. You are not suppossed to create request from that link.

The link below is for approvers to approve request so requestors do not need to and would not know about it.

You won't be able to change the email link send out by CUP as these links are hard coded into the tool.

FormsCentral is a lot more reliable and much more secure than email sending by email, and for the type of information that's typically in an employment application, security is a good idea. You always have the option of setting it up to send you an email notification whenever a form is submitted, and you can download responses as a filled-in PDFs.

GRC 10 CUP Email-Notification: Insert Picture

I want to include a picture (e.g. a company logo) to the notification emails in CUP. This function is need especially for the system-mails to the requestor and the approver-stages.
Is there a possibility to do that?

As detailed in the How to Customize Notification Templates forAC 10.0 Workflow:
In the 10.0 release, you cannot include graphical elements for corporate branding in the provided notification templates. Customization is limited to textual messages and hyperlinks

We are creating background job for running the report in background...but i want the output(report) to send an email in Excel format after the job run successfully...
Here the email is External email not SAP inbox..

Iam not using custom program to send the email...I know about the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1...to send email.
My requirement is to send email to user the report in Excel after the background job runs.
we will define the job in SM36 with variant for the report with program name and variant.
after the job runs the spool request will be created and we can also setup the output of the report to be sent to SAP inbox.
my question is to how to send the output of this report in Excel format to external email i.e. Gmail, yahoo etc...

Remove View Link in CUP emails

Hi,
We would like to remove the View link which comes with the emails sent to the approvers. Problem is that this link is taking the approver to the CUP URL and then he/she is asked for username and password. We have created iview for CUP in portal and authentication should be done via portal and want the user to click on the link for Portal. Can anyone kindly suggest as to either how we can remove this link from emails or can modify the URL embedded to this link to the Portal URL instead of CUP.

How can i get the application to send only the Portal URL. or any other way using which the email directs the user to the portal.
