CUP-SP13-Request not handled

Hi all,
Whenever a request is not handled by the approver (I mean in the cases that the main approver is on holidays for example) and there is no configuration set for the delegation or alternative approver, which is the best practise in these cases for approving that request?
Any suggestion?
Many thanks in advance!
Marga.

Two options:
- an administrator approves the request
- an administrator forwards the request to a different approver
Administrators can also set delegations for approvers.

    Hi,
    I'm running web applications and there is performance issue is most probably caused by the fact that IE can not handle such amount of requests that are forwarded to the server at the same time.
    Data:
    On IE(10) – search variety 11- it takes a long time (about 25 seconds for response) .
    in general, the responding time of "search variety" in IE is much longer than Chrome.
    IE - see:http://screencast.com/t/kSeT3hC2mRfV
    Chrome see:http://screencast.com/t/NYf6fskU
    Why? any solution ?

    All modern browsers support the performance api or your can use the Networking tab to view the latency metrics for the site.... commonly you may be using meta directives for caching instead of server headers or you have different settings between browsers
    which determine how long resources are cached. Commonly, IE has a different security model to other browsers... ensure that you are using the Default IE security zone settings.... Actions like innerHTML go through a sanitization process to remove script content...
    Commonly AJAX calls are made during the onload event...

  • WLS does not handle reusable jar with tag-files?

    I want to encapsulate some tag-files in a re-usable jar that can be included in multiple applications. According to all the documentation that I've found what I need to do is create a jar file containing:
    META-INF/taglib.tld
    META-INF/tags/myTag.tag
    where the taglib.tld contains (among other things):
    <uri>myTag</uri>
    <tag-file>
    <name>someName</name>
    <path>META-INF/tags/myTag.tag</path>
    </tag-file>
    Then I am supposed to take that jar file and put it in my web application under WEB-INF/lib,
    and in my index.jsp I can refer to <%@taglib prefix="myt" uri="myTag">
    However when I do this (on wls 12c) the application seems to deploy ok but when I try to access index.jsp I get:
    weblogic.servlet.jsp.CompilationException: Failed to compile JSP /index.jsp
    index.jsp:14:4: No tag library could be found with this URI. Possible causes could be that the URI is incorrect, or that there were errors during parsing of the .tld file.
    <%@taglib prefix="tags" uri="myt" %>
    Related facts:
    1. When I deploy these projects in Glassfish it works . as I expected based on the documentation with no errors.
    2. If I copy the tag files and tld with no modification directly into the web application as:
    <my web app>/WEB-INF/taglib.tld
    and <my web app>/META-INF/tags/myTag.tag
    then it does work. However, that prevents me from packaging the tag-files as a re-usable jar.
    (Facts 1 & 2 seem to imply that the files are correct and that WebLogic is not handling the jar correctly?)
    3. I've seen suggestions that there needs to be a <taglib> entry in web.xml. I have tried this and...
    - the text I've seen on the web generates an error. It seems to need to be within a <jsp-config> entry in web.xml.
    - even with this I still get the same error.
    Does anyone have a suggestion for how to get Weblogic to handle tag-files inside a re-usable jar?
    Do you have an example jar you can point me to just to see that it works on my system?
    Is there some special configuration needed by Weblogic to tell it to handle this construct?
    And finally, the error message is saying that one of two things is wrong:
    Either:
    A) it cannot find the referenced taglib file, or
    B) the tld file failed to compile.
    Is there any way for me to find out which of these is happening? The error messages in WLS do not seem to give any more info, so I cannot easily distinguish between these possibilities.
    Thanks for your assistance.

    After 3 days of seeing this error, immediately after posting this request the problem disappeared. Sigh.
    So for now this problem is closed. If it comes back I'll re-post.

    Aren't they called interceptors in Spring (which is what I'm guessing you're using)?
    The basic problem is the same, no matter what particular SOAP implementation you have at the end. A mustUnderstand header which has nothing at the server to handle it must throw an error. So I'd read through the Spring docs and see what needs to be done to wire up an interceptor to do the job needed. That's assuming the flag's set correctly, of course.

  • RE:  Request not created; multiple initiators

    We have Access Control 5.3 SP 8 installed.  We have CUP configured and in production and are now working on configuring ERM.  When we try to approve a role, I get this message:  Request not created; multiple initiators [PROBLEM REQUESTS, RE_POS_APPROVER] found
    The initiator "PROBLEM REQUESTS" is a workflow=CUP type initiator, so I don't understand why an ERM workflow would try to use it as an initiator.  I cannot change this initiator to exclude ERM because it does not recognize ERM request types (only CUP requests).  I want the approval to use RE_POS_APPROVER initiator.  The PROBLEM REQUESTS initiator is used for our escape routes when an approver is not found.
    I appreciate your help.
    Peggy

    Peggy,
        I don't understand why it would find multiple initiator for different workflow types. If PROBLEM REQUESTS initiator is only used for escape route then you can make that particular path as detour path so it won't need initiator. Once you make the path associated with PROBLEM REQUESTS initiator, you can delete or change the initiator so it won't match.
    Hope this helps.

  • Java socket not handling the data packets properly

    I have created a small webserver application where i am receiving http requests from a siebel client. I am using content-length parameter to read the complete data in a buffer string using the command inputstreamreader.read. It works fine in all the cases, except when its used with a firewall. Some times the firewall splits a message into 2 and my logic fails as it doesn't find as many characters in the first packet as mentioned in the content length.
    My question is , how can i take care of these scenarios where a firewall is splitting the messages into multiple packets. why the java socket class is not handling the merging of these packets?
    any pointers are welcome.
    thanks

    Because that's the way TCP/IP works. read() gives you the data it can, and tells you how much was actually read. It's up to the application to reconstruct the application-level object. You could do something like this:    byte[] content = new byte[contentLen];
        int offset = 0;
        int remaining = contentLen;
        int currBytesRead = 0;
        while (remaining > 0 && currBytesRead != -1) {
          int currBytesRead = mySocketInputStream.read(content, offset, remaining);
          remaining -= currBytesRead;
          offset += currBytesRead;
        } (Warning: that's off the top of my head, uncompiled and untested. Use for demonstration purposes only!)

  • SQL requests when handling a refresh on a persistent-dirty instance

    I just noticed that Kodo issues two SQL requests when handling a refresh
    on a persistent-dirty instance, the first one getting the JDOLOCKX
    column value.
    For a persistent-clean instance, it makes sense to get the version
    number first and to check if it has been changed. If not, the attribute
    values are not read from the database.
    For a persistent-dirty instance, as the memory state has been changed,
    it has to be reloaded anyway and it seems to me that the first request
    is useless.
    Any confirmation ?
    Thanks.

    Yeah, the version check seems to be extraneous. We'll see what we can do
    about that. Thanks for pointing it out!

    There's a similar case to that in which the solution was to upgrade the patchlev of Tuxedo software. The latest RP for Tuxedo 6.5 resolve some issues related to GWTDOMAIN process.
    501. CR266129 Tuxedo 6.5 RP496: LIBGW_CAT:1029 Service request not forwarded - TPELIMIT (S-34477)
    517. CR342496 Tx 6.5 [propagation] pq in tmadmin report too large number for GWTDOMAIN, not match ipcs results (S-42376)
    Many things related to domains have been fixed.
    I hope that solves your problem.
    Regards.

  • Crystal Report: irregular error not handled by the application component

    Hi all,
    The error message u201Cirregular error not handled by the application componentu201D comes up when I run any of the Crystal Report in the SAP Business One.
    But this error happens only in the client Machines, from the Server I can run the report normally.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Alberto Franç

    Hi,
    It seems installation and registration problem, have you tried to other client computers? Try to reinstall  the Crystal Report in client.
    Regards,
    Clint

  • 3702i AP's not Joining WLC - Layer 3 discovery request not received on management VLAN

    Hi Guys,
    This is a follow up post to this thread: https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12400481/3702i-not-joint-2504
    Have been playing around with my AP's and made sure the time is correct on all the devices ( WLC and Switch). I have also moved the AP's to the same Vlan as the management IP of the WLC.
    if I move the AP's to the same Vlan as the WLC they join and are happy, as soon as I move them to a different Vlan they cant join and there time goes back to the default plus they do not seem to save the WLC details to flash but still remember the test names I give them.
    it appears that option 43 is working fine as I can see it look for the WLC IP and I have done some trouble shooting on the WLC and it looks like it see's the AP but doesn't except it.
    please see below for the boot up of the AP and the WLC logs:
