CUP - UME to restrict for provisioning country specific roles

Hi All,
We have a unique requirement during CUP Implementation. We are implementing CUP for a customer and rolling out to various countries.
With this scenario we have a single stage workflow which routes through the approval procedure of respective countries. Now that we have a problem where if a user selects another country role and by mistake if it gets approved the user might get a wrong role. [We have different naming convention for diff. country roles and each country has separte roles]
Is there a way to restrict the country specific users to search only for that particular country role in UME or even if he searches other country role it should not allow the provisioning of a different country role  to that particular user.
Ex: User A belongs to X country. Roles of X country are starting with X1 ... series. Similary Y country roles are starting with Y1..series.
Is there a way to restrict User A only to serach and select only roles of X1...series and gets restricted for provisioning to X1..series only.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Srihari.K

Hello Sri,
You can create country specific business processes and assign the role to the Business Process, Functional Area or Company. By selecting the "country" in the configured field, at least only those applicable roles will show for the user.
In the user form make such a field mandatory.
Of course the user could select the wrong country in the field, but this will greatly reduce human error.

  • Is AppleCare Protection Plan for iPhone country specific?

    As of above.

So if say I buy my iPhone in Country A, I can't but the APP in Country B to use it on my phone?
To be more specific, I am not talking about "claiming" warranty, but rather Country B sells APP cheaper than Country A and I am heading to Country B. Ain't sure if I can head to Country B to purchase APP to activate it on a phone purchased in Country A.

  • SAP support for country-specific legal requirements

Just wondering if anyone could clarify how does SAP support work for the country-specific legal requirements. I'm sure in every country some new laws come to life regularly that affect the SAP customers and their ERP systems.
Case in point - on July 1st Mexican authority SAT decided to ask businesses to send them some XML files with some GL account information ('Anexo 24' - see the announcement in Spanish here). The deadline for the first file submission is October 2014.
This clearly affects every single SAP customer in the whole Mexico, as well as potentially many North America customers who have manufacturing facilities there. So would it be reasonable to expect SAP to come up with some standard solution? XML file extraction doesn't seem to be incredibly complex to me (although I might be off).
Another question - how would the customers know that SAP is aware of new laws and is taking some action? Could there be an announcement posted somewhere? There is a website for SAP Latin Americabut the latest announcement there is from June and nothing else is on the home page except for the HANA ads. (My Spanish is limited to "dos cervezas por favor", sorry if I missed something.)
In absence of such communication, naturally, the only option the individual customers have is to send a message to SAP. And that's where SAP replies with a copy/paste text (we got the same exact response as another SCN member here):
Feel free to maintain this incident opened, but contact us in the next three weeks, then we will be able to confirm if this legal requirement will be supported by SAP.
I'm confused - "IF"?! This is a legal requirement, there is no "if" for the business. Let's see if I got it right - we wait for 3 weeks, then SAP decides "nah, not gonna support that" (by the way, why is it on the customers to contact support again?) and every SAP customer in the whole country will have to scramble their own resources or pay for consulting (on top of SAP maintenance fees) to deliver the same exact set of programs on their own in under 2 months?
It could've been just an unfortunate choice of verbiage by Global Support, but I'm curious - is this really how the support for legal requirements supposed to work?
    Thank you.

    Hi Jelena,
Having been part of the SAP Globalization Services in Brazil, I understand a little bit of that process.
    A few comments:
    1) Localization of SAP solutions to country-specific regulation is under the responsibility of an area called Globalization Services. You can find more info about what they do here:
    http://service.sap.com/globalization
    2) Typically, those country-specific requirements are discussed in much details on the local ASUG chapters (at least that's how we did it in Brazil). That's why it's usually hard to find material in English, but I'd say that your local IT/Biz people in Mexico should be regulars in their local ASUG meetings, specially if they have a specific chapter to discuss Localization matters.
    3) I found out this note with more specifics about "SAT Anexo 24".
    http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2041490
Apparently SAP is still analyzing it.
Suggestion if you want to speed the analysis up: reach out to your commercial contact in SAP.
    4) Regarding your statement about the time it takes for the analysis & delivery to take place.
As an SAP customer, you have all the right to complain about the service level you're getting, it's just that, having been on the other side of the table, I know some facts that sometimes may be taken for granted. For example, SAP do not have infinite maintenance resources. I do understand that all customers pay maintenance and need to have their demands addressed, but SAP does not have a bench of developers available for whenever a new demand appears. If there is a new demand, they need to estimate the efforts and accommodate it into the development resource planning.
    5) From a legal perspective, there is a difference between Legal Change and New Legal Requirement. The latter, if differing too much from the initial purpose of the acquired software, might not necessarily be required by the Software provider to be fulfilled within the maintenance scope. I'm not saying that it's the case for this Mexican requirement, I'm just saying there is this possibility, generally.
My personal recommendation: get your local Mexico people to be closer to the SAP Mexico team. They are usually responsible to publish information about such local requirements and the SAP release plan.
    Hope that helps.
    Best,
    Henrique.

  • How to get the assignees for a specific role in process in BPM 11g

    Hi, Gurus,
I am using BPM 11g. I am trying to retrieve all the assignees for a a specific role in process. It will be a parameter for a business rule to do further routing rule. But it seems there is no way to get the information. I found that there are Identity Service Functions in Human Task Assignment. But Identity Service Functions are not listed in Business Rule Activity, neither listed in other activities except Human Task Assignment. I cannot get the assignees in my process.
Is there any way to get all the assignees for a role? I also tried to retrieve the assignees out engine with Worklist API, but it cannot get either. Actually we can get all the assignees information in automatic activity in OBPM 10g. Maybe I am still not familiar with 11g. Any advice is appreciated.
    FYI:
    My scenario:
Suppose we have a role named ApprovalTeam. In this role, there will be several different department manager (BPM User) added in the role through Workspace. At run time, a request (With department info) with go through the approval by ApprovalTeam. A Business Rule Activity with decide which department manager will approve this request. Different department request will be dispatched dedicate managers, not all the managers in the role. I have an external JavaBean to get the department information from LDAP. To do the routing, I also need know all the department managers (BPM User) in the ApprovalTeam role. Then I can compare which department manager is matched with the request and assign the task to him.

  • Specific UME Actions required for Deployement in CE 7.1

    Hi Experts,
I need to know how many and which UME action are required for deploying the application in CE 7.11
For deployement, we usually assign the UME Role called "Administrator" to the ID that we use for deployment.
If I remove this "Administrator" UME role, an error message is thrown as...
    com.sap.ide.eclipse.deployer.api.APIException: DeployException,cause=ERROR CODE DPL.DCAPI.1023AuthorizationException
This "Administrator" UME role has some 2978 UME Actions assigned to it.
For the UME role "Administrator", inside the assigned UME actions, I have tried filtering the UME Actions based on the filter keyword "deploy", which returned some 14 UME actions.
Now, I have made following Test case and result.
    Test Case:
    1) Remove the Administrator Role from the ID that is used for deployement.
    2) Now Assign all the above 14 UME actions that were found related to "deploy" keyword to a Custom UME role "DeployRole".
    3) Deploy using the same id.
Result : Deployement fails with the same above mentioned error.
Conclusion: There can be 2 possible conclusions...
    1) None of the above 14 UME actions provide the authorization for the deployment.
    2) OR There are some other UME actions which might have some dependecies that are required along with the suspected UME actions.
In short my requirement here is, to find out the specific UME actions that are required for deployment, so that i can remove the "Administrator" UME role and assign the specific UME actions needed for deployment to a my Custom UME role, and assign this Custom UME role to the user ID for deployment.
    Regards,
    Shreyas Pandya

    Hey Nghia Nguyen...!
Thanks a lot for your reply, i have rewarded you the points.
I have found out that for deployment following UME actions are required.
    dc_action (Mandatory)
    auth.all.all (Mandatory)
deploy_action (Not Mandatory)--> if you remove this deploy_action UME action the deployment will still work, but in developer studio, the Deploy result dialog box with OK button, that pops every time after you deploy your project by right clicking your application and choosing "Deploy new Archive and Run" will cease to appear and the application will directly run in the browser.

  • Can Country Specific IT used for Other countries...?

    Dear Friends,
According to the requirement i need to maintain the Disciplinary Actions .
For which i have identified the following Infotypes.
    1.) IT 0102  (US Specific)
    2.) IT 0545  (Korea Specific)
Is there any Infotype to maintain the disciplinary actions for other countries (MOLGA - 99)
If not can i assign one of the above Infotype and use. If yes, will there be any major affects.
    Thanks in Advance.

You can use Infotype 0102 Grievances NA even for the country grouping '99' for the disciplinary actions go to table V_T582L and make it permissible for the country grouping.

  • Disabling country specific checkings for it 0021

Although we are a german-based company and only do german payroll, we still have to maintain personal records from our employees all over the world, mainly for reporting purposes. Last week someone from our HR-staff tried to create it 0021 subtype 1 (spouse), but just can't manage to get it work. Some debugging showed me, that a class CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0021_ES with method CHECK_NIF_CONYUGE_REPRESENTANT is called and throws an error. I haven't figured out what is checked, but I definetly don't want any checking at all. Are there any means to disable this country specific checking (customizing ???).

    Hi Shrinivas
    The messagenumber is 5E048:
El valor  no está permitido para el parámetro
    According to babelfish.yahoo.com this means:
The value is not allowed for the parameter
well, that's the truth from SAP's point of view, because the afore mentionend
method checks the subtype against t5e91:
    method CHECK_NIF_CONYUGE_REPRESENTANT .
      data:  wa_t5e91 type t5e91,
             l_msg TYPE symsg.
      select single * from t5e91 into wa_t5e91
      where infty eq '0021' and
            subty eq p_subty.
      if wa_t5e91-isfam eq 'C' or wa_t5e91-isfam eq 'R'.
        if p_codim is initial.
          CLEAR l_msg.
          l_msg-msgid = '5E'.
          l_msg-msgty = 'E'.
          l_msg-msgno = '048'.
          CALL METHOD message_handler->add_message
            EXPORTING
              message = l_msg
              cause   = if_hrpa_message_handler=>infotype_specific.
          is_ok = false.
        endif.
      endif.
    endmethod.
What I need to achieve is, that class CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0021_ES isn't called at all, so no checking is done.

  • Request  submitted for provisioning through CUP

    HI All
I am using SAP GRC 5.3
i am using Compliant User Provisioning for creating requests.
After submitting the requests  does CUP directly talk to target System or does it talk to any provisioning engine
In short I want to know what actually happens( internally)  when a request is submitted for provisioning through CUP
    Thanks
    Jagan

    Mph,
Once you complete the request in CUP and when it passes through all the approval stages, CUP will directly connect to target SAP system to provision users and roles. CUP has the java front-end which initiates the request and then it connects to the ABAP programs which are installed target SAP system for provisioning.
    Hope this helps.

  • Country specific setting for SWEHR3

    Hi Experts,
We have created a custom function module and configured it in SWEHR3 transaction code for the requirement of triggering notification to HR Team whenever employee changes his/her address details.
Now we want to implement same functionality for some other country for which notification format is different.
So we planned to create a new function module for this requirement.
Now the problem we are facing is triggering the correct function module for respective country.
Is there any possible option or settings available using which we can select/trigger function module based on country grouping in SWEHR3.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Avinash

We are looking for setting in SWEHR3 to pick up respective function modules based on country grouping, is it possible?
every country has its own notification format and data.
Your already planned to create different FM's and code it individually. As explained above we don't have option to create entries based on MOLGA in SWEHR3.
your writing logic for notification format and data in different FM's for different countries.
You just have to integrate in single FM and map in SWEHR3
This is the reason I suggested to create one FM and inside that you integrate all your FM's and call them based on MOLGA.
