CUP: user creation in CUA child client but incorrect CUP password feed back

This looks like the same unresolved post from Vincent Doux on this forum as well.

When we create a request for a new account to create a user in a CUA child client, - and the user already exists in the CUA master - we find that the password fed back by CUP via its email that has the password link in it, is not the one as it was created by CUA in the respective child client.
Ergo, the user can not log on with the password provided by CUP.
CUP's provisioning message is OK, the user is properly created in the child client but the the password given by email from CUP doesn't allow to connect user on to the child client.
As a contra-test: When creating the user directly from CUA manually the password is however working corrrectly on the child client.
Does someone know how to have the correct password (CUA) in the CUP email notification or how to solve this?
Both Java and CUA master and Child Client are on 5.3 SP 6. I checked OSS note 1168508

Hi George,
Have you got the CUA configuration settings maintained correctly?
CUP may not be referencing the correct destination and therefore maynot be interfacing correctly to provide the correct password.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. We can't do anything to "protect" your iPad. If your files are backed up (and only you would know if so and where) you should be able to access them from your back up.

Flash installer asks user to close the Dashboard client, but provides no information on how to do so

When installing Flash Player on a Mac, the installer asks the user to close the Dashboard client. However, no explanation is given by the installer on what the Dashboard client is, or how to close it. There is no information on this on the installation help information at adobe.com. There is apparently no direct mechanism to close "dashboardclient" provided by Apple either.

That's a solution that would work, but the average user should not have to jump through hoops just to install a plug-in. Force quiting processes in any OS can have dangerous and unintended consequences and should not be attempted, unless you know what you are doing.
I have installed countless Flash updates over the years, and this is the first time this has happened. So, if I've been running the "dashboardclient" for years, this tells me Adobe dropped the ball on this installer.
Bottom line: The end-user should have an installer that doesn't require monkeying around with user processes. If a process has to be stopped, most installers will require a restart and take care of it through the installer. Many others do this, Adobe should as well.
(P.S.: Deleting the "Flash Player.plugin" (HD>Library>Internet Plug-Ins) will allow for an install, without quitting the Dashboard processes,)

Users created in CUA does not distribute to child systems

I searched this forum and after pulling my hair for 2 days I am asking this question. I created a user in CUA and gave him child system access with the necessary roles.
I was under the impression that the user will get replicated / distributed automaticlaly to the child systems which i selected at the time of user creation in CUA
But it does not happen. I login the child system and search for the user. It says User does not exist. I saw SCUL in CUA and the log shows a grey icon next to the username and when I place my cursor on the icon, the tect comes " Distribution unconfirmed"
What am I missing? Everything looks ok to me
Why is the user or users not geting replicated or distributed to the child systems with the necessary roles / profiles?

Hi,
that is an indication, that the RFC-connection is not defined properly. As soon it does not work, you will get the login screen (on the login screen the default client (503) is filled automatically, but that has nothing to do with the problem you have).
First check the password of the RFC-user you use. Simply change this user to type 'dialog' and try to log on with the password you know. If that works, reenter this password in SM59. Perform the authorization test in SM59 afterwards. Mind possible upper/lowercase problems with the password depending on the releases your systems are.
You can also try to perform a remote login through sm59 to make sure, tath you can log on with that RFC-user (as long he is of type dailog this will work). If the rfc-user gets locked frequently, then something is wrong with the rfc configuration. In most cases the entered password is simply wrong.
Check this first!

CUP:Deletion of account in CUA child system leaves system assignment in CUA

Hello all CUP experts,
I face a problem with CUA connected systems, more precisely in the account deletion process. The account is deleted in the CUA child system, but it leaves the system assignment in the CUA system.
Is there a way to get CUP to delete also the CUA system assignment, which I understand has to happen before the child system account deletion?

1. I have synchronized the company address in central system to all the child systems.
2. This particular child system has an additional company address "XYZ" (which is causing the problem). This address is not being copied to the central system from transaction SCUG. It throws an error saying that the address is incorrect (Missing Country Information). So, when I want to edit the address to get this thing fixed, in the child system, it won't let me do that. I can neither edit it nor delete it. I get the error messages as I have posted earlier.
So I have changed the company address of all the users who were using address "XYZ" to a different address so that I can delete the company address "XYZ". But, I am still not able to delete the address.
If you could guide me on how can we edit or delete the company addresses in a child system (other than from Transaction SUCOMP), it would be great.

Suddenly when I am login in Portal with J2EE_ADMIN or any user , I am getting error
You are not authorized to access this application; contact your system administrator
and when I am going to create user in identity management I am getting below error

Dear all,
I was searching the community because I had this same error and there was no answer of how it was fixed. So I'm sending how I fixed today in a customer environment.
1. Go to portal http://<portal>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsecumewdumeadmin/UmeAdminApp
- select configuration
- folder "sap system based in abap"
- do the conection test
If the test fails, log on in client 001 and change user SAPJSF:
- assign role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION (only this one) and one profile that has permission to RFC logon
- you can change the password too
STOP/START ABAP+JAVA
Go again to the portal above and test connection again. The tests should now be OK.
2. Go to portal http://<portal>/irj
- Log on with administrator user
Now you should be able to create an user.

Hi,
If it is ABAP+JAVA stack, we have to create user only in ABAP stack only. We cannot create user in portal. Once we create user in ABAP stack , we can login to portal using that user.
If there is permission probelm, please assign the permission to the respective user that is " manage_all" action.
Please let me know if you have any clarifications.

AC CUP: User created in CUA with system specified

Hello,
I create a new account request to provision a user in the CUA and child systems.
The user is created in the CUA and the child system: OK.
In SU01 of the CUA the system is specified. The pb is that the user can login directly to the CUA (even if he has no role).
I think the system should not be specified for the CUA. Does anyone have a solution to avoid to specify the system for the CUA?

Hi Simon,
You can config the CUA to allow the creation of user in child client. But then if the user already exist in the CUA, the CUP request will create the user in the child but with a wrong password.

User role assignments deleted in CUA child systems

Hi All,
i have the following problem
newly started CUA from one newly created client in development. According the setup guide from SAP and best Practices in SCN.
RFC's all OK users in RFC are Service users, as dialog users are requested by system setting to change password every 60 day's.
PW all ok
connections setup OK
connection to the first 5 clients all OK but then a client with a existing LS connection to another SAP system the setup went wrong
I had to use BD64 to complete model creation or WE20 to select.
In SCUA -setup clients the traffic light came up green after a second save.
and more client were connect with OK result
2 more clients did not connect properly now they are after intervention with BD64
All user download were done, Text comparison for the role assingements and profile assignements and checked some of the clients if role activation and changes were possible.
All clients but 3 were OK.
From the 3 clients i had to use BD64 for creation of distribution model are the roles missing from the clients
I cannot read any role or assign any role
All SCUl error are redistributed
EDI ports on clients point to Central System.

GRC CUP - How to change SNC Name to lower case during user creation.

We are using GRC 5.3. CUP automatically creates user in R3 but SNC p:username'@'DOMAIN.COM is in upper case.
1. During automated user creation.
2. How change default DOMAIN.COM to lower case "domain.com"
Currently we have to manually change is via SU01 after user has been created.

No User SAP* after the creation of a new client

Hello,
I made a system copy from PROD to DEV-System and upgraded the DEV-System to EHP7. Now I want to create a new customizing client but when I create the client in transaction SCC4 there is no user sap* on this client. I never thought this is possible.
I checked my profile and everythings seems to be fine. (login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0)
The client is in the table T000. I searched for any users in this client on SQL but there is no User:

Hi Bernhard,
Parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 enables the SAP*(basically from SAP Kernel/hard-coded) for initial logon to the newly created client. Please do the client copy from 000/001 for super user (SAP* and DDIC) availability.

How to create automatically users&roles in CUA and child systems

Hi,
i have a CUA on a 2 chlid R/3 systems (test and training) and 2 portal systems (test and training).
i need to create a web application to create automatically users test and users training in CUA and see them in the R/3 chlid systems and at the same time to create autmatically a roles in CUA and R/3 chlid systems for those users (we sppose that the role is already stored in a table).
are there any standard BAPI or Funcion modules that can do this job?
is the role created automatically in CUA can be seen automaticall in the portal child system?
any help?
