CUPC 8.6.1 with red cross which means no ringing

Hello!
In some way, we have the problem, that cupc change it's presence status from DND to available. The red presence indicators changes from red to green, but sometimes, the red cross on the handset icon didn't change, so I have the setup that I have a green presence indicator, but a red cross which means that I cannot hear incoming calls. If you change status back to DND and then back to available brings no success, also restarting the cupc client is unsuccessfull. I do not know when exactly this happens, a lot of users are telling me about this issue. I then have to manually onhook the DND status in device settings of the framework services client of the cupc endpoint to get it running again, that user hear the sound of incoming calls.
Can someone help? Any idea? Someone aware of this issue/bug?
We are using CUPC 8.6.1 and CUCM 8.6.2
Thanks!

No one an idea?

my bb 9380 won't turn on while the screen shows one battery sign with red cross mark ( not charging sign ), i think the battery drained and switch it for charging but it will show only not charging sign . i bought this phone before 9 months, whats the solution for this ?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

ive had a blackberry crbe for about 4 months it is brillaiunt condition , but all fo a sudden the phone switched off and now wont turn on . ive tryed charging it but all that comes up is a empty battery sign with a red cross
i had it on charge all night and have tryed 3 different chargers and 2 batterys and still nothing ?
    help ?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Given what you describe, I think you've done all of the diagnostics that you can...kudo's to you for having thought to try what you did! But, what it indicates is a hardware-level problem in the BB itself, somehow not communicating properly with the battery. For this, only a qualified service technician with the BB in their hands can diagnose any further...and that can't be done at an internet-distance.
If your BB is still under warranty, then take it in for evaluation. Your warranty service provider is whoever you bought the BB from -- your mobile network provider or your authorized reseller would be who you go talk to next.
If your BB is out of warranty, then you can talk to those same folks about other options.
    Good luck!

  • When plugged into computer a song started skipping, pressed pause but ipod sounds makes a clicking sound. Eventually goes to black screen with red cross. Cannot reset it and doesn't register on my computer.

I had my iPod plugged into my computer and was playing the songs from there. One song started skipping so I pressed the pause button, the ipod kept making a clicking sound like it was still struggling to play the song, eventually went to a black screen with a red cross with apple.com/support/ipod underneath. Have tried to reset it but does not work, comes up with apple logo and immediately makes the clicking sound and then crashes.
Is there anyway I can get my music and photos off?? I just got a new computer and had lost everything on my old one so only have the songs and photos on my ipod, desperately want to get them on to my computer.

You may have damaged the HDD which is located in that spot. I would take it in for service.

  • Function will not run (and shows with red cross in SQL Developer)

I have created the function below by typing into the "Enter SQL Statement" box in the SQL Developer tool and running. I see the message "create or REPLACE FUNCTION Statement Processed". I see the Function in the tree view, but it has a red cross icon next to it, so I guess somethings wrong with it. When I try to run it I get the message "The selected program is in an invalid state for running. Recompile the program and try again." If I right-click the function and compile then I get no errors but the red cross remains and I still can't run it.
    What am I doing wrong?
Also, I am planning on supplying a SQL script to customers that will have this function at the top of the script, and then I will use the function throughout the rest of the script to decide whether or not to drop a table before re-creating it. Will that be ok? i.e. will the function be available to the rest of the script, or would the function creation need to be followed by a commit/grant/other?

  • The applet fails to load. with 'red cross' screen JVM 1.6.19 and above

After updating the JVM to one of the latest version 1.6 builds, our users started to experience a problem with opening java applets.
All the users have JVM versions 1.6.0_19 – 1.6.0_26 on Windows 7/2008. The browser is IE8. On the server usually there is IIS7, with ‘Integrated Windows authentication’
on applet’s virtual folder. Applet’s classes are packaged into a signed JAR file. Both the client and the server are located in the same local area network with no proxy or firewall between them.
The applet’s website usually belongs to the trusted security zone. When loaded, the applet establishes HTTP connection to the server to get the necessary data.
When the user tries to open an HTML page containing the applet, there can be the following scenarios:
    1.     The applet fails to load. We’re getting a ‘red cross’ screen. All the HTML elements except of the applet are loaded OK.
From the IIS log we can see that the loading of the JAR file failed with the error code 401, the user name field in the log for the JAR is empty.
    2.     The java asks for the user name and password showing a popup ‘Authentication required’. At this moment we can see the following message in the Java console:
    network: Firewall authentication: site=/XX.XX.XX.XX:XX, protocol=http, prompt=, scheme=ntlm
If the user enters the correct credentials, the applet loads OK. Even if the user checks the ‘Save the password in your password list’ checkbox, Java continues to ask for credentials
on every page reload. It’s worth to note that the company’s external firewall doesn’t get any requests from the applet.
The problems happen even when the client and the server are located on the same machine, but never happens when we use localhost as the server name in the page URL.
During investigations we found out the following workarounds:
    1.     Enabling anonymous authentication on the virtual folder always solves the problem.
    2.     Sometimes, changing security zone from ‘Trusted’ to ‘Local intranet’ solves the scenario 2 (‘Authentication required’ popup) problem.
It’s worth to note that changing the security zone never helps if the page URL contains dots (for example, uses IP address instead the server name).
    3.     Upgrading to IE9 solves the scenario 2 problem partly: Java asks for the credentials only once.

I have the same issue. I use single sign-on with IIS 7 and Integrated Window authentication on the tomcat virtual folder. The applet jar file is on the root directory of the web application (the same level of index.html). So I use '.' as the code_base to call the applet from javascript.
So when I launch my web application into a browser, the auto-connection is successfully performed (single sign-on through Upstream, kerberos, remote_user, ...). But when I want to launch the applet in the web application, a new authentication panel (red panel with "authentication required") occurs in order to set credentials (login, password, domain) with the message in the java applet console:
    "network: Firewall authentication: site=myApplicationUrl, protocol=http, prompt=, scheme=ntlm"
So why the applet doesn't inherit previous credentials in this case ??
Have you solved this problem ?
    Thanks

  • Grey Screen with red cross and three dots - engine...

He absolutely hates it when things break and he can't fix them! So I have two moody toddlers in the house and a wriggly baby kicking me in the ribs... maybe I should go stay at my Mums! Lol!
Have you tried resetting the box ?
You need to remove the power from the back of the vision box, then hold down the centre and down buttons on the box and re-apply the power whilst holding them down for a few seconds afterwards.
It should go for a reset, and show a progress bar. It might then show a couple of cogs after the initial cog. If you get back to the red cross, try the process again.
If it still fails, remove all the power from the hub for 5 minutes whilst keeping power to the vision box. Go for a Vision box reset again as before and see what happens.
Sorry it's a bit disjointed - and a bit hit and miss.

  • My iPad will not connect to a computer with the cable which  means no updates or down loads. I have tried new cables and different computers. Has anyone seen this before?

Has anyone seen this issue before?

Possibly. Do you have other devices and will they connect?
One possible thing that it could be is that the USB port on your iPad has gone bad. It happened to mine. Couldn't sync, could barely charge (it said 'not charging' even when plugged into the wall)
I'd take it to the apple store, see if they can replicate it, and if they can, then they can diagnose it. Just back it up before you go, in case they do exchange it.

  • TS1382 My ipod won't reset, tried ALL the steps several times. The 'red cross' always appears, any suggestions?

I have tried to restore this to disc mode as suggested in the apple help section but it doesn't work.
The red cross inside a red circle, with the apple web address at the bottom, keeps returning.
Anything else I can try, or is it a costly repair shop I need?

    That symbol,
is also known as the Fatal Red X, which mean that your iPod Hardisk is dying, cannot be booted up or dead. There is nothing much  we can suggest here except read this Apple support Article or  to send your iPod in to Apple Store or any 3rd Party iPod Repair vendor, for a replacement.

  • HT5622 My Ipod Classic shows a red circle with a cross in the middle. I've completed diagnostic tests which have popped up, however any HP/FW/Hard Drive tests freeze the ipod, as if the hard drive won't spin. What do I do?

My Ipod Classic shows a red circle with a cross in the middle. I've completed diagnostic tests which have popped up, however any HP/FW/Hard Drive tests freeze the ipod, as if the hard drive won't spin. What do I do?
After holding down the Select and Play/Pause button, I was able to restart the Ipod and then it brought me to a Diagnositc test. I have tried doing both the Mannual and Annual test on the ipod however in each test, the ipod freezes on different access tests. The HP (headphones) test, shows the headphones are detected, but then if it tries to play a song to make sure they work it freezes and goes back to the red cross. I have looked at various other questions regarding the FW cable, however I don't believe i have such a cabel. Then the Hard Drive test freezes up and I can hear a ticking noise coming from the drive but it doesnt seem to be spinning. Alongside these test issues, any computer cannot see the Ipod when plugged in (including itunes). Therefore some tests for the USB drive cannot be completed. I do not recall dropping it badly, though I have dropped it previously. Does all this mean there is damage to the drive? Should I instead take it to an apple store?
    Many Thanks

The stats look fine. Try the DFU Restore method shown in Corrupt iPod classic. It may pay to disable any anti-virus software and use the staged transfer method to reload data, assuming you get that far.

Known as the red cross of doom, sadly.
It means that the box failed to get an update applied and it is in a corrupt state.
The only possible solution is a full factory reset which if successful will leave you with the box in the state it was delivered but with new software. It will however wipe all your recordings.
    Factory Reset
Switch off the Vision+ box at the mains socket
Hold down the front panel OK and down arrow buttons
Switch on the power to the Vision+ box
Allow the box to start up (about 15 seconds)
Release the OK and down arrow buttons
The Vision+ box will then contact the servers to get a new copy of its firmware
This will take around 30 minutes
If this doesn't work I'm afraid your box will need replaced, you can either contact the Mods or phone the helpline

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
