I using CCU 8.6, i need to configure the mailstore?
Thanks

Hey Leo,
Also with CUC 8.6, you may be running into following Defect
CSCtt21713    UC 8.6.1.20000-1 - IMAP authentication failed when using LDAP directory
http://cdetsweb-prd.cisco.com/apps/dumpcr?identifier=CSCtt21713&parentprogram=QDDTS
Login to CUC CLI and run the following command:
utils os secure permissive
This is not service impacting. After running the above command, you have to restart IMAP On Unity Connection and then log out of the client and re-login
Can you also provide the screenshot of the following from CUPC
Help -> Show Server Health -> Mail Store

  • CUC 8.5.1 IMAP - LDAP Authentication

I have Unity Connection 8.5.1. It is setup for LDAP Sync. It's set to use LDAP Authentication for users. The passwords and search bases are correct becasue I can authenticate for inbox/PCA and admin. It's using SSL and I have changed the Server information to the host name to match the certificate installed. There are no custom filters.
I am trying to get CUPC Voicemail configured and it keeps telling me credentials are rejected.
    I connect to IMAP using telnet <server ip> 143
attempting to login using 02 login username password
it returns 02 NO Logon Failure: unknown user or incorrect password.
If I create a user not linked to ldap I can login with username and web password.
I have even restarted the servers after changing ldap server to hostname.
The LDAP user has the same COS that is assigned to non-ldap user that I am able to log in with.
    Any other suggestions?

  • CUPC 8.6 call forward to voicemail

    Hi!
I am using Cisco Personal Communicator (CUPC) 8.6 and also CUCM 8.6. I have CUPC in Deskphone mode, connected to a 6945 IP Phone. I also have Unity Connection where my voicemail box is hosted. When I want to setup call forward to voicemail button in cupc option, it is not working. CUPC will not handle the options I setup seconds before. If I manually put in a call forward to extension number of voice mail pilot call forwarding is working. also call forwarding to my mobile is working.
I checked End User settings, IP Phone is associated to my user, also CTI controll is enabled on device and line settings. user privileges are correct. I tried it on jabber client where it works fine. I also restarted CTI and Callmanager Services on the Servers.
Does anyone has an Idea if this is a general bug in CUPC or does anyone can tell me what the problem might be?
    Thanks!
    René

    Hi,
If at least one of these phones is set to CF to VM then it will, if not, then no.
If none of your phones is set to CF to VM CUCM will not send them to VM, that is expected, if you need to ring, phone A, and if it is not answered to go to phone B, C... and so on, and send the caller to VM after you have reached all of these then use a hunt group, (the pilot can be set to CF to VM if nobody answers), if you need to ring all phones at the same time so someone can pick this up, use a hunt group with a broadcast logic.
If this is for a single user, check 'single number reach' (SNR) or mobility on CUCM.
Bottom line, there is no way to send a caller to VM if none of the phones is set to CF to VM.

  • Voicemail not working in CUPC

Everyone has CUPC 8.6 installed with CUPS 8.5, CUC 8.5 and CUCM 8.5 servers.  Anyone who logs into CUPC are unable to listen to their voicemail through it.  Show server health gives "VoiceMail Error. The server has rejected the provided credentials. [1903]", but we're positive the credentials are correct under Account Options.  Passwords have been reset just in case with no luck.  We recently created some OU's in AD to apply some GPO's and have moved most of our users into those.  The Cisco service accounts we created have been left in the original Users container.  LDAP User Search Base used to point directly to the Users container in AD but has been change to root for both CUCM and CUC.  Search Context under LDAP Profile Configuration in CUPS has been changed to root as well.  The LDAP Manager Distinguished Name accounts haven't been moved from their AD container for CUCM or CUC, and Bind Distinguished Name (DN) account in CUPS has been left alone as well.  I'm not quite sure where else to look.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Are you allowing IMAP access into CUC?   you set this in the "Voicemail Users" Class of Service on CUC, so it will apply for all users once the COS is changed.
Also you might want to set the Credentials source for voicemail service, on CUPS     to    "CUP"

  • Jabber Voicemail Incorrect Time Stamp

I just noticed the the time stamp on my voicemails in Jabber v9.0.1 Build 12296 have the incorrect time stamp. They are all one hour behind. I confirmed that this does not happen in any of the following:
    Jabber v9.0.5
    CUPC v8.6
    Jabber for Mac v8.6.1
Is this happening to anyone else?

did you get this sorted out?  Im having the same problem with Jabber v9.1.5, CUC 9.1.2 and cucm 9.1.2.  Both cuc and cucm use the same NTP time source.  Time looks fine on the handsets and from the cli..

  • Jabber 9.6 no voicemail tab for CUC with CUCM 9 and CUC 8.6

    Hi guys,
    I have Jabber 9.2 and 9.6 clients with CUCM 9.1.2, CUC 8.5.1 and Cisco IM + P 9.1.1.
We've recently updated the CUCM and CUPS to Cisco IM+P.  Also we have migrated from CUPC Clients to Jabber clients.  The CUC server has remained as is.  I was able to get the CUPC clients to get voicemail/visual voicemail but the Jabber client doesn't even display an ico for voicemail.
The service profile for all users is set correctly to point to the CUC server and there's no errors when I go to the jabber client "show connction status".
I haven't been able to find much about this issue.  I have noticed that if I set the mail store the voicemail tab appears but we are not using a mail store as the voicemail repositary.  Is this now required to check voicemail?  If so can someone point me to the configuration guide?  We have exchange 2012.  Thanks very much!

    Hi every body,
I  have some problems but not with all the users, is only working with 3  users and the rest of them don't work, I attached the errors that I get  when I try to log in Telephony Accounts in the Jabber, I used the Jabber  of one User, and from here I introduce my credentials (user and  password) and I can get the voice mails (only from de 3 users that is  woriking fine), but when I introduce the credentials of the other user I  get the error and Can't get the voicemails.
The 127.23.0.7 is the IP address of the Cisco Unity Connection.
Please Help Me I'm stuck with this!

  • CUPC Over VPN

We resolved a VPN issue that was preventing us to be able to log in to CUPC over VPN. I am now able to log in, I can see my buddy list and their status, however the CUPC status in the bottom of the window is listed as "Offline (No Network)".
    Server Health:
Logon Server: Not Connected - Disconnected
    Phone Config: Downloaded
    Presence: Connected
    Desk Phone: Not Connected
    Softphone: Not Active
    Voicemail: Connected
Secure Messaging: Not Connected - Server Unreachable
LDAP: Not Available - Server Unreachable
What could be causing some of the servers to be connected while others are disconnected? We are running Microsoft ISA VPN.

This is likely an ISA VPN configuration issue. CUPC creates separate connections to each system. For example, voicemail is an IMAP or secure IMAP connection, presence is a SIP connection, desk Phone is CTI, etc. All traffic is not tunneled through CUPS.
You will need to troubleshoot the individual protocols to understand why Microsoft's VPN product is not properly transproting them. A good place to start would be attempting telnet connections from the VPN-connected machine to the locations specified in the relavent profile on CUPS. Example: Can you telnet to your LDAP server's port as defined in CUPS?

  • CUCI-Lync 9.2 with CUCM 8.6 - Cisco Unity Connection Visual Voicemail Not Working

    Hi
I have CUCM and CUC 8.6.2 running and MOC with CUCI-Lync 8.5 (with visual Voicemail) running OK with full registry configuration (see below). We are moving to Lync 2013 and want to use CUCI-Lync 9.2.
A basic install of CUCI-Lync 9.2 works fine with CUCM (with manual setup of TFTP, CCMIP and CTI) but not with CUC. I can only call the VM Pilot but I don't get my visual voicemail.  In the CUCI-Lync  parameters I type in my CUC server IP adress and credentials but get a message saying that it can't connect.
As the config guide describes a config with CUCM 9 (with UC services) which I don't have in V8.6.  I've tried using the old registry configuration or no registry configuration at all, I can't get CUCI-Lync to connect to CUC...
Has anyone done this ? Any suggestions ?

The UC Services are a CUCM 9.0 feature. In 8.x these existed within CUPS under Applications > CUPC/Jabber > CTI Gateway and Profile. Other things that frequently cause this to break: 1) deskphone not associated to your end user object; 2) primary extension not set; 3) standard cti enabled and standard ccm end users group membership missing; 4) the IP/FQDN of the CTI Gateway is not a CUCM node running CTI Manager.

  • CUPC not logging in after changing LDAP profile

    Hi,
We are using Cisco Call Manager version 7.0.2.20000-5 and using  Cisco Unified Presence Administration System version: 7.0.4.10000-18. We are changing our Active Directory structure as a result we have created a new LDAP profile in Call manager and Cisco Unified Presence Administration. The LDAP profile in Call Manager and Cisco Unified Presence Administration  seems to synced correctly. Once I move users from the default OU to the new OU in AD, CUPC clients are unable to logon. They keep getting failed user and login error. Is there something else that needs to be checked? Users are able to make and recieve calls, browse the corporate directory and check voicemails. Its just the CUPC client that does not seem to work with this OU move. Is there a place I can check for errors on CUPC side?
    Thanks

You may test the user logon with CCM User page.
    1) CUCM Admin > User Management > End User.  Make sure the user you wanted to test was in "CCM End Users" group.
    2) Open a separate web browser window (NOT a separate tab).  Go to http://ip-address-of-cucm/ccmuser
    3) Tried to log on with the user's credential.
If the logon was successful, you may continue the test on CUPS.  Otherwise, you'll have to troubleshoot CUCM first.
    4) Open a web browser.  Go to http://ip-address-of-cups/ccmuser
    5) Tried to log on with the user's credential.
    Hope this helps!

  • Bulk Configuration of CUPC

    Hi,
Can someone please advise a method to add/configure bulk CUPC Clients and incorporate existing users to them on the fly.
    Call Manager ver: 7.0.1
    Cisco Unified Presence Server v8.0.1
Requirements: Configuring over a 100 CUPC softphones, which are using Cisco Client Services Framework, because CUPS is v 8.0 not v7.0. Only the call manager is v7.0
Adding 100 existing user to these created softphones.
Providing Licensing assignements in bulk for every user.
Updating this level of information in CUPS server, voicemail, CTI,...etc for each user.

    Hi Kam,
EMCLI is the tool to do bulk changes. I don't know exactly what you mean by bulk configuration but if you take a look at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11857_01/em.111/e16185.pdf
    you'll get the picture.

  • Terminal server limiting CUPC connections to 10

I recently setup a new terminal server in our VM to replace an existing older server running 2008 Enterprise. It is using CUPC 7.1. the new server 2008 R2 Datacenter. It has CUPC 8.6 which matches the current version on Call Manager. After moving new users to the new server I discovered that the CUPC quit working after 10 connections. The app flashes on the screen for a second and quits. I don't have any issues on the old server and checked all the licenses to verify we are covered. What can I do? Please help! Thanks

So, WTS is not a supported environment. The closest the CUPC client ever got to this was:
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) SupportCisco Unified Personal Communicator Release 8.5(5) and later is supported on the following hosted virtual desktop applications:•VMware View 4.5•Citrix XenDesktop 4.0 Note In a virtualized desktop environment, full audio and video capabilities are only available on Cisco Unified Personal Communicator when you are using the desk phone for phone calls. If you are using the phone on your computer, only the voicemail features are supported in a virtualized environment.
Secondly, CUPC was a massive Java-breathing, DirectX-dependant resource hog. Even if it did work, it would be silly to run on a Terminal Server because of how much overhead it would add. Thankfully Cisco scrapped the code base and rebuilt it off of C# (or C-something). The VDI solution support has expanded but still does not include WTS.
It's difficult for us to provide guidence when you're off the path well travelled. Maybe someone will chime in though..

  • Jabber Options - Phone Accounts - Voicemail -- "Spinning Wheel"

Been trying to resolve a nagging issue.   We currently have CUCM 8.6.2-20000-2, CUPS 8.6.4-10000-28 and just put up Unity Conn 9.1.  Jabber Win clients are 9.2(1).   Several people have not been able to integrate voicemail into the Jabber client.
We are totally MS AD integrated.   In CUPS, I had Applications -> Cisco Jabber -> Settiings  Credentials Used For Voicemail service set to CUPS so the user would not need to supply credentials.  To help me debug, I went and changed this setting to "Not Set" so that the Phone Accounts option appears in Jabber 4 Win client.
So far all the people who do not work access the Phone Accounts setting in the Jabber client see the "Spinning Wheel".   They can't see the fields to enter their AD creds and the voicemail server.   Reinstall of the client does not seem to help.  There seemed to be a bug that described this but I think it was fixed in 9.1(2).  You can't display the Bug description because it contains proprietary info.
I have attached a screen shot of my Jabber Client Phone Account -- when I enter the credentials, I log in fine.
Anyone seen this or know how to fix?
    TIA --- Perry

Well, I had TAC look at this issue. Short story is that it was an issue with one of the *many* local cache files which hid the real source of the problem.  I actually had the Mailstore misconfgured in CUPS.  I used the Exchange server's CAS IP instead of Unity Connection.   We created new Mailstore definition that used the Unity Conn IP's, created a new Voicemail Profile and associated the user to that profile.   She worked....
I deleted my all my Jabber for Windows local cache files and I then received the "spining wheel" issue.  I moved my ID to the new Voicemail Profile with correct Mailstore and I could connect fine.   TAC spent an hour pouring through files on my PC and could not find the reason why my ID was working.   TAC indicates that in 9.x, a lot of this configuration moves to CUCM and hopefully cuts down on these issues!  PRT files from the Jabber client really did not assist them in locating the problem.
    Hope this helps....

  • Mobile Me CONTACTS not coming down to iOS4 and lost visual voicemail

I updated my 3GS to iOS4 and everything seems to be working, howver my contacts haen't repopulated the phone form Mobile Me. they are all still there on Mobile Me, but when I go to contacts on the iPhone, there are none and unlike previously, opening contacts on the phone does not force a sync (no spinning clock-wheel)...
I have tried turning off the Mobile Me setting on the iphone and then restarting it, but still no contacts...
I also lost my visual voicemail.... when I go to voicemail, it wants me to physically dial up voicemail...
    Any ideas here?

Huh? A "bug" would affect all devices using the OS. I have no idea what you are talking about as push worked just fine here after allowing a little time for my phone to be re-provisioned by the network. That took longer than normal due, I'm sure, to the large number of folks trying to do the same thing I was. And we've all hear AT&T whine that we evil iPhone users are breaking their network.

  • IPhone 4 - 4.2 upgrade killed visual voicemail

*iPhone 4 - 4.2 upgrade killed visual voicemail*
Ok, I upgraded to 4.2 and deleted all previous backups, so I know I'm screwed untill the next update.
I've synced, backed up, restored from backup and still no "Visual Voicemail".
My voicemail only works if I restore the phone to original settings. But if I do that, I loose important data in my apps. As soon as I "Restore From Backup" I loose my "Visual Voicemail".
If I reset my voicemail password with AT&T, I get the screen to set up a new password and greeting in Visual Voicemail. When I go through these steps I get the spinning wheel "Saving".
It never saves, and I get an alert that says it can't connect to voicemail.
I can set up voicemail by dialing "1", but then all I see is a blank screen in my "Visual Voicemail".
I've also tried a full reset of my voicemail with AT&T.
I even got a new SIM card. That didn't work.
Can anybody figure this one out???
    -Thanks

Well, thats the first time I've been told that after a week of phone calls. Maybe it's possible.
I forgot to backup my phone before I upgraded to 4.2. Oops!
When I noticed my Visual Voicemail was gone I tried to backup but ran out of memory.
So I deleted previous backups to make more room. It backed up fine after that.
I don't think it ran out of memory during the update, but maybe it did.
    Crap!

  • Voicemail not working.

Okay. I apologize if this has been covered, but I didn't find any solutions after a quick search. Basically, if someone calls my phone and I don't answer, it kicks into my recorded message and seems to work as it should. However, from my phone, I see that someone called but I am not receiving the voicemail. Previously, turning off the phone and turning it back on would make messages appear. That does not seem to be working at present. I have the 3GS with 3.1 software and everything else is fine. If I go into the voicemail and try to preview the greetings, default and custom, my custom greeting will not play. I get a "retrieving greeting" message at the top and a spinning wheel. It never retrieves the greeting, although the greeting is working for callers to my phone. Any suggestions for fixes would be greatly appreciated.

I have done some investigating on carrier versions. Two friends that have not updated to 3.1 have carrier version 4.0 Another friend that has updated to 3.1 has carrier version 5.0 like myself. It appears to me that updating your phone to 3.1 updates your AT&T carrier version to 5.0 I have 2 phones I have updated to 3.1 and they both have carrier versions 5.0 The puzzlement is, how can AT&T tell me they don't support anything but version 4.0 when simply updating to the latest iPhone software updates your carrier version to 5.0 Something does not make sense here. Does anyone out there that has updated to 3.1 have a different carrier version than 5.0? Just wondering. It can be found under Settings - General - About and Carrier. I have not hacked my phone. And my voicemail is now working.
