Currency in the Accounting View of the Material Master

Hi everyone!
The accounting tab/view in the Material Master has currency in the General Data tab. In our case, the currency is defaulted to PHP. I found the field in SPRO but it is non-configurable. Is there anyway I could it in other SPRO field so that I could configure it to changable currencies (for example, I wanted to change from PHP to USD, etc.)

It will be Picked up From the Comp Code Currency..
As the Plant is assigned to Comp Code, when you create the Material for that Plant ..
It will pick up from the Comp Code Currency..
You can check Comp Code Currency in OBY6 trxn..

Which user departments have already maintained the material master record at a particular hierarchy level
The overall maintenance status is made up of the individual maintenance statuses. The individual maintenance statuses have the following meaning:

Finding Information for Extending Material Master Records Which User Departments Need to Extend a Material Master Record?
In the Material Master menu, choose Other ® Extend material view(s).
The initial screen appears.
Enter the material number and choose Execute.
An overview appears of the user departments (indicated by the maintenance status) that still need to extend the material master record.
Select the user department(s) for which you want to enter data, and choose Maintain materials.
The first user department screen appears, where you can enter your data.
Save your data.
The initial screen for maintaining material master data appears because you have not finished maintaining the material master record. To access the next screen you selected in the overview, choose Enter.
Repeat step 4 until you have entered all the data for the material and have returned to the overview.
Which Material Master Records Does a User Department Need to Extend?
In the Material Master menu, choose Other ® Extend material view(s).
The initial screen appears.
In the Maintenance status field, enter the indicator for the user department concerned.
You can also define other selection criteria, such as the date created, organizational levels, material type, and so on. The system selects those records that satisfy all your selection criteria. If you want the system to select those records that satisfy one of your selection criteria, set the relevant indicator.
Choose Execute.
An overview appears of the materials that your user department still needs to extend.
Select the materials whose data you want to extend and choose Maintain materials.
The user department screen appears for the first material you selected.
Enter and save your data.
The data screen for the next material appears.
Repeat step 4 until you have entered your data for all the materials and have returned to the overview.

Significance of price in the accounting view

hello gurus,
what is significance of price in the accounting view and how is it different from the price that we enter in the info record?

The price in accounting view is the planned or moving average price for your stock, the price in info record is the price at which you want buy a certain material at a certain vendor.
if you only have 1 vendor for a materiall and you do not have price fluctuations, then the price in info record could be equal to your material price.
But often a material is procured from different vendors with different prices and your stock is not just the stock from last receipt, it often is a part older stock which came in at a different price....
hence your info record price will usually not be equal to your valuation price.

IDOC : How to send the basic view of a Material

Hi experts,
I'm using BD10 to send Material data with ALE/IDOC.
I want to send Material Master Data (MATMAS), Modifications (ECMMAS) and the BOM (BOMMAT).
How can I send only the basic view of the Material Master Data ? By using another message type ?

Why there iare no accounting views for KMAT material ?

Why there are no accounting views for KMAT material, in a Standard SAP sytem
Is is because KMAT material cannot be valuated

Valuation is done at quantity / value level (KMAT - No valuation is done at either Qty/value level)
KMAT is neither valuated or stocked for that plant when GR is done, the only thing it will do update the sales order
As KMAT is configurable material, the system calcuates the material cost dynamically as per the customer selection
Accouting view is used to select the correct G/L account during stock postings
The above can be viewed in OMS2

How to treat the accounting entries for the Process industry?

I am working with the Process industry client. Here one raw material goes with chain of process. In one plant half of the process will carried out and the rest of the half process would be carried in another plant. the entire accounting entry would be as follow.

While Purchasing the RAW material the account entries are
Raw material Inventory A a/c     Dr
     To GR/IR a/c                Cr
While issuing material to process order
Consumption a/c      Dr
     To Raw material A inventory   A/c      Cr
While the FG receipt into the stock
FG B inventory      a/c     Dr
     To COGM   a/c      Cr

In this case mine consumption account gets hitted two times. One at Plant A and another at Plant B. So in my P&L account the consumption will be in two times. In this case how should i treat the accounting entry??

Hi Ravi,
I have discussed with my user. The business requirement is they want the plant wise Balancesheet and Financial statement. If i do the stock transfer from one plant to another it is very difficult for me to get the balance sheet. What we are planning is while transfering one plant to another the FG invertory credit agaist Intra transfer account (One P&L account) then in the receiving end the intra transfer a/c debit to FG inventory so that i can get the trial balance.
I will get back to you once i get the solution for this. Let me know if you have some idea on this.

Check the account settings for the outgoing server "(null)"?

I try to send emails to myself with the attachment of a picture so I can view it on my computer without having to plug it in, because it is synced with another computer. However every time I have tried to send a photo it is unable to send, and it says 'Check the account settings for the outgoing server "(null)"'
Can anybody help and tell me what this means?

That means you have an error in the setting for the outgoing server.
You need to correct that error.

just an update....when i hit the right command key it respond normal (cmd v cmd c...etc) but when i hit the left command key it shows the x and two commands pressed as well as it delete what i'm working on i.e like backspace but takes out everything at once

Sounds mostly likje a bad KB, do you have another to test with?
Or...
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

The paths won't agree on the two OSs so a simple XML import isn't likely to work.
See Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers and, if needed, Make a split library portable. The techniques in the first link will work when moving the library between Windows and OS X as long as the library is "portable", but iTunes takes quite some time checking the database when the library is opened under a different OS.

Can not see the design view nor the java file in CentOS

Hi all. I've recently installed JSC2 in CentOS. I find this tool really useful. But I have a problem with the design view and the java file view. At the beginning, when I first create a Page1.jsp, I can see the design view and the java view with no problem. I run apps correctly. But after a while, I get a "null pointer exception" error and I am able to see only the jsp view, not the others. I don't even have the option to see the Design and Java views. And the page icon in the project window appears to be darker than a well working page. I'm not really sure what sequence of actions I do to get this error, it just suddenly happens. What I've done so far in JSC2 is to link to pages in the Page Navigation view. It works fine for a while, but after a while I get the error I've described.

Is it possible to have the "single view" (Einzelseite) as the default view in the preview.app?

The single view is the only setting I need and I find it cumbersome to dig inside menues for every single document. It would be great if there was an option or maybe a property that can be set.

And another comment: The save trick does not work for documents you cannot write. For instance I have a latex documentation on my machine and I cannot save these documents since they belong to root. So it would be great to make this configurable for the user.

Where is the "month" view on the calendar in iOS7?

The subject is my question.
What happened to the month view on the calendar in iOS7? I really liked my MONTH view. Mine is showing only 3 options: Today, Calendars, Inbox.
I really liked being able to see what is scheduled for the month. Now I have to push on each day to see if there is something going on, and the calendar only shows the week.
Apple reminds me of Coke. You have something that works really well and everyone loves it (real Coke), and then they decide to completely change it (fake Coke LOL) and one can never get the old stuff back -- even as an option.
So I liked my old calendar and wanted to keep it. LOL

In Settings > Notification Center, try turning "on" all the six buttons under "Today View". Also turn "on" the top two buttons under "Access on Lock Screen". Doing that should show you "Tomorrow" at the bottom of Noticiation Center.
