  • Pound (currency) symbol, and Euro symbol on invoice template.

    Hi - I have written an invoice using one of the pages templates. I changed the Euro symbol (€) to a pound symbol (£) but every time it is automatically changed back to pound symbol again. Having entered the pound symbol. how can I make it stay there?

    Hi there - Thanks, but I've got it sorted - I had to select a cell within the invoice template, then click on Table Inspector, then format, then currency, then select currency. I would prefer to just delete the currency symbols with the mouse, and then put in the ones I want, but I know how to do it now. Maybe Britain should just join the Euro - or maybe not?

  • How to fix wrong currency symbol and placement of it?

    Hello
    I'm setting up a re-install of Lion after the 10.7.5 update killed it, and Mountain Lion turned out to be a battery-killer.
    I'm trying to setup the formatting of digits, time and currency in System Preferences, but I cannot see how I can fix the incorrect way it wants to display the Danish currency symbol.
    In Denmark, our currency symbol is either "kr." (short for "kroner") or "DKK" and it's a suffix preceded by a space. Microsoft has always gotten this partly wrong, chosing the right symbol ("kr."), but prefixing it. It's always been easy to fix, though.
    On my Mac, the system wants the symbol to be "Dkr" (which is definitely not correct in any way), it wants to prefix it, and it wants to glue it directly on to the amount, not even adding a space, i.e.
    "Dkr1.000,00"
    The correct notation is,
    "1.000,00 kr."
    I can't find any GUI way to fix it, but I know there are tons of settings hidden that you can set using a terminal. Just have no clue if this is one of those, and how to do it if so.
    Is it, and how?
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    About my issues with Mountain Lion, the only third-party apps I had installed were Chrome (first thing I do is get a proper browser so that I can finish setting up things), iTerm2 (need a proper terminal to fiddle with settings and do things on my server via ssh), and Spotify (to listen to stuff while settings up things).
    Are Safari, Terminal, and iTunes somehow "improper"?
    Actually, I was refering more to system modifications. My EtreCheck tool is designed to list those because people sometimes forget about software that only runs in the background.
    Sure, there may be some workarounds to get things better with ML, but seriously, I'm not paid to be a beta-tester, and if at 10.8.2 it still can't perform properly, I'm not going to be the one working 24/7 to get my laptop regain the lost 50% battery life if I can just wipe the crap and revert to Lion.
    I am a paid beta tester and developer, just not for Apple. I can assure you there are no significant issues with 10.8.2. There are some poorly-coded 3rd party software that doesn't work well on Mountain Lion. Sometimes developers take short cuts just to get something working and never fix it to work "properly" because, technically, it isn't broken - until the next operating system version comes out that is.
    When Lion was released people were also falling over themselves to reinstall Snow Leopard for the same reasons. You can search for old posts from myself and others who said Lion was fine (as Mountain Lion is) and accurately predicted that people would, in due time, be falling over themselves to reinstall Lion.
    This morning, after having reinstalled Lion, I fired up Chrome with my local radio station in Flash, playing news while I prepared coffe and cereal, keyboard backlight constantly on (as I hadn't yet set up anything (I always set a 5-second timeout)), the screen at 50%. Remaining battery life was 7h30m. Same setup with ML was pretty much exactly half that.
    Chome, espeically with Flash, is known to have problems in Mountain Lion. I suggest using Safari and the ClickToFlash extension. That way, you get a very similar browser that will first try modern HTML5 methods for streaming that media and only fall back to Flash if necessary. Even without Chrome, Flash is a total CPU and battery hog.

  • Help with currency symbols and notation

    Hello, I need to use a simple Dollar Sign '$' for a couple of documents I'm working on.
    But when I set the format of the table to 'currency' it always displays the leading US before the $.
    Any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks

    I saw your similar post in the pre-'08 Pages forum & Dennis' response. Perhaps it would help if you told us what language your system & Pages are set for & what keyboard layout you are using.

  • Remove currency symbol from currency cell format?

    This might seem like an odd question but I only want my top row to have the currency symbol and the rest of the rows to simply have the number with no currency. I know I can switch the cell format to Numbers but then I lose the formatting of how negative numbers are displayed (quotation marks versus the negative symbol).
    So, is there any way to simply remove the currency symbol from the currency cell format?

    Hello
    As the special format for negatives is only meaningful for currencies you can't get if if you disable the currency format.
    There is an alternate way to highlight negatives but I don't know if you would be satisfied with it.
    Select the cells whose format must be number, not currency.
    Open the Inspector of Cells
    Check "Conditional Format"
    Click "Show Rules"
    Of course, you may select an other color.

  • Currency symbol $ instead of NAD

    The region in "Language  & Text" is set to "Custom" due to changes in date format.

    Hi,
           Is the main infoobject on which your master data is available has data in Infocube.
    For Example : Material Infoobject attribute Color
    Is the material has got some data in cube only then its navigatiion attribute will get data
    Also if compunding is there check whether the compunded char has data in the infocube.
    Check in cube whether the master data is shown if yes then you will have data.
    Finally just logoff the bex and connect again and try to refresh.
    Thanks.

  • Currency Symbols Issue

    Hi All,
    We have an invoice report, and we are getting currency symbols from the fnd_currencies table. For GBP we are getting '£' symbols and we are using srw.user_exit('FND FORMAT_CURRENCY CODE=':CP_CURRENCY_CODE....) function to get the formatted amount in the report. But when we change the output format to XML, srw.user_exit..is throwing exception for all the currencies except USD. When the format is text it is not throwing exception. please suggest what to do.

    You can put the short code like this in GBP, JPY, EUR
    xml, and declare the currency formatting in Templates based on the locale , you are running or by just hard-coding.
    <?format-currency:Numbervalue;currencycode;'true|false'?>
    if the thrid parameter is true, it display the currency and Number value , else no currency , just simply numbervalue.
    second param is, currencycode , can be from xml like GBP, JPY, EUR , or just hard code , if it is single currency template.
    or to make it generalized, you can put these settings in config, file for the muberFormatMask to be used.

  • Oracle Report -FND FORMAT_CURRENCY

    Hi,
    I am using the folowing code in group level formula column(CF_CURR) for formatting currency.The report output is set to xml.
    The output of CF_CURR in xml is wierd for example:
    <UNIT_SELLING_PRICE>68043.48</UNIT_SELLING_PRICE>
    <CF_CURR>68</CF_CURR>
    <UNIT_SELLING_PRICE>9170</UNIT_SELLING_PRICE>
    <CF_CURR>9</CF_CURR>
    <UNIT_SELLING_PRICE>6843.28</UNIT_SELLING_PRICE>
    <CF_CURR>6</CF_CURR>
    srw.user_exit('FND FORMAT_CURRENCY
    CODE="USD"
    DISPLAY_WIDTH="17"
    AMOUNT=":UNIT_SELLING_PRICE"
    DISPLAY=":CF_CURR"');

    Resolved. First Commented the code, ran the report, it ran fine and then un-commented it after putting the SRWINIT in before parameter report trigger, it returned DATA and everything is perfect.Thanks for the update and for sharing the solution!

  • Display Currency symbol with value in ALV Report

    Hi Experts,
    I need to display currency symbol with value in ALV Report like if currency type is dollar then $200.
    Here I am using field catalog type slis_t_fieldcat_alv and suing field merge catalog FM: 'REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'
    I tried like this
        IF <fs_fieldcat>-fieldname = 'STPRS'.
          <fs_fieldcat>-seltext_s = 'Std Cost '.
          <fs_fieldcat>-seltext_m = 'Std Cost'.
          <fs_fieldcat>-seltext_l = 'Std Cost '
           <fs_fieldcat>-tabname = 'MBEW'.
          <fs_fieldcat>-ctabname = 'T001'.
          <fs_fieldcat>-cfieldname ='WAERS'.
          <fs_fieldcat>-datatype = 'CURR'.

  • Currency symbol in report

    Hi,
    Please let me know if there is any FM to convert USD to $ and also other country currency symbols. let me know if there are any standard tables in sap which are related to this.
    regards,
    Lakshmikanth.T.V

    Hi Venkat,
    Check out this threads for further info.
    Re: Table that keeps currency symbols like US $ etc... - Very urgent
    currency symbols
    As SAP doesn't maintain any such table, you need to hardcore it in the program or create a ztable for maintaining the known currencies by looking at TCURC.

  • Can i create a new currency symbol in adobe acrobat XI pro

    the symbol for malaysian ringett does not existing in adobe.  i am creating a form where currency amounts are added.  can i create the symbol, and how?

    OK, to add a new document-level JavaScript, select: Tools > JavaScript > Document JavaScripts
    and in the dialog that comes up, enter a Script Name (e.g., "formats"), and replace what it gives you by default with the following:
    // Document-level JavaScript
    function RM_Format() {
        AFNumber_Format(2, 0, 0, 0, "RM ", true);
    function RM_Keystroke() {
        AFNumber_Keystroke(2, 0, 0, 0, "RM ", true);
    Then edit the text field and select the Format tab, and set the custom Format script to:
    // Custom Format script
    RM_Format();
    and the custom Keystroke script to:
    // Custom Keystroke script
    RM_Keystroke();
    and that should do it.
    If you don't see the Tools > JavaScript item, click the tiny "Show or hide panels" icon on the far right of the darker gray bar that appears under the Tools button after it's clicked and select it from the list of panels.

  • How  can i print currency symbol in smart form?

    how  can i print currency symbol in smart form?
    i want to print the currency symbol with grant total based on the vendor currency.
    pls hepl............

    Hi,
    think You can't print the symbols for currency like $ and Pound etc
    see this doc if needed
    A variable in SAPscript is called a symbol. There are the following types.
    • System symbol (e.g. the number of the current page)
    • Standard symbol (usable in any document)
    • Program symbol (value from the print program)
    • Text symbol (“local variable”)
    The value of a symbol is text for using within SAPscript code and is represented by the symbol-name enclosed by ampersands. On seeing the tell-tale ampersands in SAPscript code, you sometimes need to figure out the symbol type.
    goto any PAGEWINDOW's Text elements in Script (SE71)
    from the Menu-> INSERT-> Symbols
    you find all symbols here
    System symbols
    System symbols in a SAPscript form are comparable to system fields like SY-UZEIT in an ABAP program, and include these. The graphical editor offers three types of system symbol.
    1. General system symbols
    See the table TTSXY. PAGE is the most widely used. The list given in our BC460 training manuals is out of date.
    2. SAPscript system symbols
    See the dictionary structure SAPSCRIPT. SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES is the most widely used.
    3. ABAP system symbols
    For the ABAP system field SY-UNAME, say, the symbol is SYST-UNAME. http://SYST is the dictionary structure for ABAP system fields.
    Sample code:
    User: &SYST-UNAME&
    Page &PAGE& of &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES(C3)&
    Standard symbols
    Standard symbols are maintained centrally (in the table TTDTG via transaction SE75) for use in any document. Menu path:
    Tools
    Form Printout
    Administration
    Settings
    Some standard symbols are SAP-standard and others are custom. Curiously, table TTDTG is cross-client although SAPscript forms are not.
    The value of a standard symbol has to be defined for each language used. This gives a way to make a single SAPscript form multi-lingual.
    We can take advantage to an extent of the central maintenance, though there is no guarantee that the available standard symbols will used in every appropriate context.
    Standard symbols complicate searching a SAPscript form, since text like ‘Charity registration 211581’ may be hiding in a standard symbol.
    Text symbols
    A text symbol is declared and assigned to within the SAPscript code, and so obviously applies only to the current document. The command DEFINE is used, requiring /: in the tag column, as in the following examples.
    /: DEFINE &COMP_NAME& = ‘University of Warwick’
    /: DEFINE &WS_RATE& = &TAX_SUMM_C&

  • Problem with Currency Symbol in IR export to CVS

    I have a number of queries that have been successfully generating csv files for years and have been adapted to provide the basis for the same information to be available as an interactive report with the option to download as csv. The old scripts set the NLS settings at the outset. The Apex app sets the NLS environment in the vpd function. The apex report query is a "select * from some_view" style one that ultimately queries a remote view with several columns like this:
    select TRIM (LEADING ' ' FROM TO_CHAR(ROUND(100,2),'L9999G999G990D00')) x from dual;
    just as the were in the prior manual SQL.
    The "new" apex export to csv files contain an extra character preceding the currency symbol that is upsetting Excel on import.
    old-style hexdumps look like this:
    2c 22 a3 31 30 30 2e 30 30 22 2c
    ,"£100.00",
    new ones like this:
    2c 22 c2 a3 31 30 30 2e 30 30 22 2c
    ,"£100.00",
    Where on earth is Apex getting it into its head to add this (the on-screen report is fine!) and how can I stop it?
    Thanks in anticipation.
