Current CS3 user wanting to upgrade

Am I not able to just pay to upgrade fee? How much is this going to cost me to upgrade? Do I have to upgrade to CS6 only or can I still upgrade to CS5 anywhere?
Thanks for your help in advance!

You can only upgrade to the current version which is CS6.
Unfortunately the upgrade window for CS3 and CS4 users closed on 31 Dec 2012 after being promoted by Adobe for 12 months.
Only CS5 and CS5.5 users are now eligible to upgrade to CS6.
Your  options now:
1) Pay full price for CS6
2) Join the Creative Cloud and pay the monthly fee (monthly or 12-monthly contract)

  • Currently Own CS3 but want to upgrade to The Creative Cloud...

I currently own Adobe CS3 but want to upgrade to the Photography Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Lightroom). Do I need to uninstall CS3 from my computer before I buy the Creative Cloud?

No, you do not need to uninstall CS3 before installing CC.  You should still be able to use it (not sure if there will be any issues though).
What you might try before buying is installing CC as a 30 day trial.  That will make things clear without having to chance the investment.

On your website I was directed to the offer page after clicking on the buy now existing CS user. I entered in the serial number to check if I qualify for the upgrade but it said 'Sorry, you don't qualify'. Can somebody help me with this please?

  • Question from Photoshop User Wanting to Upgrade to Premier Pro

Hi - hoping someone can offer some advice here.
I am a professional aerial photographer, although that may be a misnomer, because all my work is about video (rather than stills). I've been using Photoshop (Creative Cloud package) for all my video editing for over a year, but find myself needing a few features that are only in Premier Pro.
    My questions are:
Does Premier Pro use .psd files like PS? I would love to have a seamless transition and be able to pull up my exising .psd files which I created in PS, to allow me to do further editing, etc.
Any thoughts on changing over? Will this be a big step change? I don't really want to disrupt my operations too much. I fully realise these are open/subjective questions, but any opinions will be appreciated!
Can I still edit the occasional still photo? I'll probably purchase Premier Pro with a Creative Cloud package anyway, so does that come with the ability to edit stills?
    Thanks,
    Jacques

Pr Pro works very well with Photoshop. You can import psd files as separate layers, or merged together, or as a sequence with the layers stacked.

Having both Pr and Ps to work with is a big plus. It may take some learning on your part, but I would think that will go fast. Besides, that's what we're here for, to help you.

The psd files can be opened for editing in Ps from within Pr. The saved edits then appear in Pr when you switch back

  • Hi...pls upgrade my current cs3 to cc. tq

Hi! Please upgrade my current cs3 to cc. TQ

This is a user forum; you aren't addressing Adobe here. You will have to do that yourself: Creative Cloud pricing and membership plans | Adobe Creative Cloud
You will still have your old CS3 serial number and may have them both installed on your computer.

  • I currently own Elements 10 for PC and want to upgrade to Elements 12 for MAC.  Is there a MAC version?

I currently own Elements 10 for PC and want to upgrade to Elements 12 for MAC.  Is there a MAC version?

    mommag
Yes there is a Premiere Elements 12 Mac.
Premiere Elements versions are standalone programs. So you would be purchasing a new program with its serial number.
Upgrade typically goes to a price break if you have a prior version of Premiere Elements and you purchase from Adobe Sales direct.
Years ago, a user could purchase at a local retailer and get "rebate from Adobe" based on having an earlier version. I have not seen that anymore (for years).
Remember Premiere Elements 10 Windows projects do not work in Premiere Elements Mac (any version) and the other way around also.
Also Premiere Elements Mac does not have all the attributes that Premiere Elements Windows has. One example, if you work with green screen, know that Premiere Elements Mac does not have the Green Screen Key, Blue Screen Key, or Chroma Key Effects.
Please let us know if we have targeted your question.
    Thank you.

I want to upgrade from Contribute CS3.  What is the highest system I can upgrade to?  I need to install on 2 computers; one is Windows and the other is MAC.  Can I do this?

Contribute 6.5 is the current version and Adobe only sells current versions.
Unfortunately Contribute CS3 is too old to qualify for an upgrade. Only CS4 and newer qualify.

You'll either have to pay full price for CS6.5 or find another software solution.

The main error in this position is thinking ANY sized SSD can be "storage"
Any Macbook SSD should be idealized as a working platform computer system, containing all your applications, documents, and weekly-use necessary files; and all media files such as ‘big-data’ (music/PDF collections/video/pictures), unless directly needed in the near future, should be kept off the computer and on external storage USB or likewise bare hard drives.
You cant do what you want without removing the internal SSD
Officially, it is not possible for an end user to upgrade the storage in any Retina Display MacBook Pro model after purchase

When I put the leopard disk into the drive all it does is make a weird noise and then spits the disk right back out. It doesn't do this with any other discs, only this software. Is it still possible to update this computer?

    Yes. Try Amazon.
Before you do upgrade to Snow Leopard, make sure your Mac meets the requirements.
Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard - Technical Specifications
Make sure the disc you tried using doesn't have any fingerprints or smudges on it. The optical drive can't read the disk otherwise.
If your Mac won't read the disc, might be a good idea to rule out any problems with the startup disk BEFORE trying to upgrade the system.

i am currently using iphone 5 and i want to upgrade my phone to ios7 i want to know if it is necessary to keep backup of contacts?

As with every computing device, a backup is your ONLY insurance should anything ever go wrong with your device.
Without a backup, if something does happen to go awry, you will loose whatever you have not backed up.
So my response is, of course you need a backup.  You always need a backup, no matter what.

Which version of the utility will work on my MacBook, and still control the older Airport Extreme?

if I update the Airport to the latest version, and "control" it with my MacBook Pro, will the older G4 still be able to use the signal from the new Airport?
Yes. Your G4 shouldn't have any difficulty connecting to a Wi-Fi network provided by the latest 802.11ac AirPorts as they support the earlier radio modes that the G4 uses.

Yes, but unless you have a very slow Internet connection, it's easier and cheaper to go through Mac OS X 10.6.
