Current date should be populated when executing the hierachy variable.

I have a customer hi-erachy.For that hierachy i created a variable.
The variable name is hieraachy date.
the variable will be executed with user entry/default value.
the characteristic i used for thata variable is date.
Now the requirement is the date should be populated with current date when ever i executed the variable automatically
I thk i need to develop customer exit for this. I am not so comfort with coding.
can anybody will help me on this issue. suggest me with logic or any further idea.

Below is the erro when i added the code and i restrict the customer exit variable.
ERRORS:
INCORRECT FORMAT WITH KEY DATE FOR ELEMENT "43Z6K6807CL51WZ025Q1GPHER"(VALUE "&&" IS INVALID).
Below is the diagnosis for the error.
You are using a key date specification in the query. This can be either in the query key date directly or in the key date for a selection or presentation hierarchy. the element, in which this error was found, is called "43Z6KGHDHHJ5VYWJU8UEVBRRK". The invalid value is called "&&".
System response
The problem is reported with the check.
Procedure
Check the incorrect format in the specified element and correct it.
Technical name (UID) of the element: "43Z6KGHDHHJ5VYWJU8UEVBRRK".
I am checking the UID in rsa1> transprot connection>query element-->variable.But system is not showing any UID. Any idead on the above issue.

From this we can come to the conclusion that, whether to use one index or not by oracle
would also depend on the data which is present in the table. This has to be this way as
we see in the bind peeking, if oracle sticks to only one plan, say only use the full table
scan, it would be a performance hit when it searches for the second query ie where object_name
='emp';

If we have a query like below.
select * from emp
where upper(ename) = upper(:p_ename);
Evenif we have the index on ename column, oracle wouldn't be able to use the index, as there is a function in the predicate column. If you need oracle to use the index, we need to create a function based index as below.
Create index idx_ename on emp(upper(ename));

We have created a manual planned order for one buy item in ASCP workbench for some qty and released it.
But, we are not able to get its requisition created in source.
When we check the PO_Interface _Errors table, we found that it is errored out with error as --
Need By Date Should be equal or after the effective start date .
Can anyone please help me out to find the cause of this issue. Any help/pointer in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Hi Abhishek,
We found the root cause of the issue.
Its BPA was not having any Effective start date mentioned in its terms. So we put it as BPA creation date and ran the data collection and plan run.
After that we were able to see its BPA release created without any error.

Incorrec entries when execute the query

   I am facing one problem when execute the query on inventory cube(non cumulative cube).Query is diplaying entries for valuated stock Qty.on particular date, but those entries are not exist in BIW(Infocube ,ODS) or R/3 System.

      Try to drill down the report based on request ID and find out one record which has this inconsistancy...! then see the data in the CUBE based on that Req ID and PSA..! may be this way will help u out..!
       Check FS10N/MB5B/MB5L Tcodes in R/3 for reconcilation!

can you any one explain the difference between DB time, OLAP time, frontend time when execute the query

Each BEx quey form a SQL query which is called query execution plan.
So,
DB Time is the time taken to read the record from data base by the SQL statement.
OLAP time is the time taken to process the calculations/formula involved.
Frontend Time is the time taken to present the output. For ex: while displaying the data in Bex analyser if your query involves a hierarchy, then the presentation time will be more. It also includes the time user taken to enter the query selection input.

I have tried changing the "DataSourceMode" as below, now the insert command is working, but update command is not working.

If you remove the substitution variable and replace it with the actual value (whatever that is), does the code work? That will tell you if the issue is around the substitution variable or not.

How can I make the current date/time be sent when emailing as XML?

I'm creating a form for a customer to use for submitting print jobs. This customer will be emailing the XML form data, which will in turn be converted into a production order. I'd like to make the PDF form capture my customer's system time, so that I know when they filled out the form. I COULD just leave that up up the customer and use required current date and time fields, but that provides the ability for the customer to falsify that information.
Is there any good way to capture the current date/time in the XML data, so that the customer doesn't need to nor has the ability to?
Any suggestions would be great!

Some tags are not showing in SQL when executing the script as per Date

A) When i am executing below script
Select ToP 10000 [T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter] from dbo.[total] ORDER BY T_DATE desc
i am able to see all tags with respect to date except some tags prefix with ----PO, this 'PO' tags also present in the same table, with same time and date like other tags
B) When executing below script
Select top 10000 * FROM dbo.[total] where T_Tag like '%PO%' ORDER BY T_DATE DESC
i am able to see all tags related to PO
How i can all tags including 'PO' with one script. can any one help me ??

The above query MAY or MAY NOT give the records with taag ---PO as they might belong to a later data which might not fit into the top 10,000 dates of the table. This shud be the problem.
If you want to see all the data irrespective of the number of rows, then below shud help:
Select
[T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter]
from dbo.[total]
ORDER BY T_DATE desc
If you need the rows that CONTAIN --PO then folowing shud do it:
SELECT
[T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter]
FROM dbo.[total]
WHERE T_Tag like '%PO%'
ORDER BY T_DATE desc
If you need just the top 10,000 rows of the above result, then just add a TOP clause as below:
SELECT
TOP 10000
[T_idx],[T_Tag], [T_date], [T_counter]
FROM dbo.[total]
WHERE T_Tag like '%PO%'
ORDER BY T_DATE desc
