Current Document Only -- AA wants to open up multiple windows

This is fricken driving me crazy -- i want AA to open multiple docs in the SAME WINDOW
I have unchecked "Current Document Only" and it still persists in opeing up multiple docs in multiple windows.
this is what that command is supposed to control:
"Current Document Only: Specifies whether or not the display is limited to a single PDF."
NO -- i want them all opened in the SAME WINDOW.
just like Firefox can open many TABS in the same window, i feel like i am stuck w/ IE again or worse that i am stuck w/ AA Reader, wherein i cannot get the windows reduced to just one (1) window featuring multiple open pdfs.
What gives? anyone else have this problem? anyone have a solution?

i guess i will need to revert back to my prev version, then.

When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

Not sure if any of the alternatives to Office (word) for Mac are near the feature set you require.
There are a few listed here at this page, in some ways aren't exactly like Office or Word; the feature you seek may (or may not) exist. I'd try & see about neooffice compatibility...

Disabling opening of multiple windows and tabs

Hi experts,
do we have any option to disable opening of multiple windows and tabs. Like making end user to use single window browser to do all operations.

Actually if end user access the portal in a browser window , and if he opens another window i.e file->new window --- same portal applications will open in the new window with the same credentials and hence here i should either restrict him or log off the user in both windows.

Quit the application. Force quit if necessary.
Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. From the menu bar, select

* holding down the Shift key while clicking
* right-clicking and choose Open in New Window
When pages code their links to open in a new window, Firefox will, by default, divert that new window to a new tab instead. To switch that:
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Tabs
It's the first checkbox, "Open new windows in a new tab instead". Can you find that option?

Open/run Multiple Windows of the same VI

In my current project I would like to have the user open multiple windows of the same VI. I've made a re-entrant VI:
This is, currently, a very simple VI that just has a numeric control, a loop, and a stop button. I then have a VI that calls the re-entrant VI. I'd like it so that each time the user presses the "Call Re-Entrant VI" button, a new window of this VI is spawned and run.
The first time the button is pressed, the re-entrant VI opens and runs fine. The title of the VI in the title bar is "Re-Entrant.vi:1 (clone)" (as expected). When I try to launch another instance I get this error:

Here we go. The Close Reference VI was causing my re-entrant VI to stop execution. What do you think of this:
This appears to work. I'd probably want to get the path of my referenced re-entrant VI outside of my loop (since this will remain constant throughout the programs execution). My guess is the Auto Dispose Ref feature will mean that as these windows are closed by my user, their garbage will be collected properly....?

Firefox wants to save a document that I want to open for some Word formats

When I click "download" for an attachment, some formats seem to go straight to "save" without giving me a choice to open it immediately. I want to have a choice every time.

You can check if you can find that file type in Firefox/Tools > Options > Applications

I had a lot of tabs open in multiple windows that were saved when I restarted. Unfortnately I updated Adobe as indicated, and on the restart the page did not have its typical restore session tab. My history does not help. Any other solutions?

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Firefox 3.6.13 - Why, when I use the dropdown File menu to open a new window, does FF open my Home Page tabs? All I want is a blank page.

When I use the "File" drop-down menu I want only a blank page, but I get the four tabs. How go I get other New Windows to open as blank pages?

A new window open by default with the Home page(s), tabs open a blank page.
The only ways to avoid opening a new window with the home page is either to set the home page to about:blank (ie disabling the home page) or use a bookmark with the location set to about:blank and use Shift + left-click to open that link in a new window.
