Current Location bookmark disappearing from Maps App

My Current Location bookmark in the Maps app keeps disappearing. I can restore the phone and it will be there. But as soon as I restore my backup it disappears. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't have an answer (sorry) but think I have a related problem. My bookmarks tab has TWO problems. First, it doesn't scroll (can't see bookmarks below those that show up at the top of the list). Second, there is no "done" button. Very strange. And a weird bug - when in "edit" mode (to delete or rearrange bookmarks), the scrolling works.

... AFAIC Location Services is a joke.
With both devices sitting side by side on my kitchen table, Location Services has NEVER shown the devices to be any where close to each other, and at times Location Services has been as much as a 1/4 of a mile off between the two devices.
Your iPod Touch has no GPS receiver so determining its location relies upon wireless routers whose location is known. Its "location" is actually that of a wireless router. Your iPhone 4 can use GPS, cellular triangulation, and Wi-Fi. One would think GPS would be most accurate but urban areas have a greater density of cells and GPS signals are easily obstructed so cellular triangulation is often more accurate.
Therefore the two devices' locations can be expected to be different. Differences of a quarter mile are easily explained if you understand how location services works: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1975

Location Services is not a "joke"; its intended use is for basic navigation and for such applications as determining where the nearest restaurant is. It cannot tell you that your iPod is under the couch cushions and that your iPhone is in the car.

I had a similar problem with trying to update using the App Store, and being told that the software was "installed" yet I was still only running 10.8.3.
The App Store was continually saying the 10.8.4 was available but with many tries I still could not download or install it.
And there are a few links to the OSX 10.8.4 (Combo) update that actually lead to a "Cant find this page error" on the Apple site and the App Store.
I did find a link to just the vanilla flavoured OSX 10.8.4 update here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1658 which is a smaller download of 359mb rather than 849mb with the combo update.
The simple OSX 10.8.4 update downloaded fine with Safari and I installed it with no problems from the finder. A few opening's on closing's of the App Store app made the update flag finally disappear.
I have since come back here to report this and then found the link to 10.8.4 Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo) at http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1659 above and found that this link also starts to download the update through Safari and while I decided that I no longer needed it, I would presume that it would still install fine from the finder like the OSX 10.8.4 update did.
So it seems to me that there is a problem with (maybe occasionally) updating from the App Store, but if you download from either of the two "hard" links above and install from the finder it should be fine.

Hi - an interesting problem - I accidentally deleted 'current location' from the bookmarks on the map app on my iPhone 3 GS - as it's a default app I cannot delete/reinstall it. Help!

I tried ways of using a pin to locate my current location but obviously that didnt seem to help.

The bookmarks from the Maps app do not appear in my Contacts.
The bookmarks I am talking about are created in the Maps app by the "Add to Bookmarks" button on the Info window. The info window where you have the choices of "Add to Contacts", "Share Location", and "Add to Bookmarks".
The only thing I seem to be able to do is edit the name of the individual Map Bookmarks.

The location across the road from my office building shows that a high school is there, but that is not the case. The high school has not been located across the road in over 20 years. I found this error when I was updating the location information in Google Places and thought to check the location accuracy in the Apple Maps app. How can I submit for a correction to the location info?

Apple has always included a way to "report a problem" in iOS 6 Maps, but because it does so in the context of Yelp local search information, it's not readily obvious that this button is for reporting map errors rather than just filing a grievance against a business or Yelp's data (below).

Bookmarks disappeared on android app

I just discovered the bookmark-adding function, which is great. But then my bookmarks disappeared. I had about 10 of them, points I needed to review later in a large textbook, and now they are gone. It's happening in other books, too.
I tried to reproduce the bug, but I haven't been able to. I killed the app, tried opening the file from Recents and from the folder, and even tried turning the tablet on and off again, yet my most recent batch of bookmark/highlighting is there. I know I'm not imagining this, though, because I've seen a dozen similar comments in the Google Play ratings comments over the last few weeks. If I see them disappear again, I'll post the circumstances.
I think my highlights and notes might be disappearing, too, but I'm not sure. This bug seems inconsistent.
I'm using a Motorola Xoom tablet, Android, and the files aren't on my removable SD card.

I reproduced it!
I moved the file from one folder to another within the Adobe Reader folders I'd set up, and the bookmark disappeared. The highlight was still there, though.
But then I created another bookmark, and moved the book (Head First WordPress) back into the initial folder, and the craziest thing happened. The bookmark I'd just added in the second folder disappeared, but the bookmark I had when the book was in the first folder re-appeared.
I tried to repeat that test, with a new book. I added a bookmark, moved the file to another folder, and the bookmark disappeared. The highlighting and notes seemed to remain, though. But then I added another bookmark, and moved the book back, and the second bookmark stuck, but the first bookmark was gone. So... that's weird. Notes and highlights seemed to remain.

Notes disappear from Notes App

After making and using the Notes function since I got my iPhone 4 at the end of July, suddenly it will no longer save new or edited notes -- they simply disappear. And they disappear from my iPad, too, which I had considered a back-up. I cannot find them anywhere, and this loss of functionality is significant. Any suggestions for a fix? Thank you.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. After reading your post, I believe that you may be looking in a specific account for notes. You can click the Notes icon in the upper left hand corner of the Notes app. You can also check out the help guide on your phone. To view the guide on iPhone, tap the iPhone User Guide bookmark in Safari or go to help.apple.com/iphone. I have also outlined some of those options to find those missing notes for you
Use iCloud to keep your notes up to date on your iOS devices and Mac computers:
• If you use an icloud.com, me.com, or mac.com email address for iCloud: Go to Settings > iCloud and turn on Notes.
• If you use a Gmail or other IMAP account for iCloud: Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and turn on Notes for the account.
Choose the default account for new notes: Go to Settings > Notes.
Create a note in a specific account: Tap Accounts and select the account, then tap to create the note. If you don’t see the Accounts button, tap the Notes button first.
See only notes in a specific account: Tap Accounts and choose the account. If you don’t see the Accounts button, tap Notes first.

Apple TV2 Just Disappeared from Remote app on iPad and iPhone after latest Remote app update

I Have used Remote app on my iPad and iPhones to control my ATV1, ATV2, and ATV3 for years. After the latest Remote app update ATV2 has disappeared from tRemote, and I can no longer find a way to connect it. Any advice about this?

Brilliant. Restarting did the job, and all is well. Since I have recommended this to others with other ATV problems, I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't try it myself at the outset, and would probably have come around to trying it later, but you saved me some time. Thanks.

Photo will not disappear from Photos app

I saved a photo from my messages into my camera roll, imported it into iPhoto, and synced it back to my iPhone. A few minutes later I deleted the photo from my iPhoto Library . . . but it refuses to disappear from my iPhone. I've turned off photo syncing, removed the photos and resynced them, repaired my iPhoto library, dismissed the Photos app state, restarted the phone, force quite the Photos app . . . but nothing seems to work - the photo still remains.

My Photo Library doesnt have a trash can button either. That is basically a collection of all your pictures. If I want to delete a picture I find where I am syncing it from on my PC and remove it from there, and resync.

How do I establish or change my "Home" location in the Mavericks Maps app?

In the Maps app in Mavericks my "Home" location is completely wrong, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change it.
The address itself, as it's expressed in text, is correct. But the location on the map in terms of where the address is located is entirely wrong.
How do I alter the location of "Home" in the Maps app to establish the correct location.
I have sumitted an error report to Apple to identify the problem. But this seems to be a futile effort, since I did the same thing when the Maps app was released for iPhone over a year ago and there's been no adjustment made.
So I'm looking for a way to manually correct my "Home" location on the map. Anyone know how to do this?

I have the same or similar wierd problem. For some reason, maps (and calendar when calculating travel time) believe I live some 80 km south of what I do. In another town, a street that doesn't have a similar name to mine. The address in contacts is correct. When I search for that address in maps it shows the correct address. If I type "home" in maps' search field it shows 2 homes, the wrong one and the good one (with the adress wrote). I have no idea how the wrong home got in there and how to get rid of it...
Calendar always uses of course the wrong home to calculate travel times...

The label that is with the pin. Touch the blue arrow to the side of it and then touch where it says Remove Pin.
EDIT: I just re-read what you said. If it is a red pin, it is from a searched address. In that one, you have to cancel the search and the pin will go away.

Neverwinter Nights 2 has disappeared from the App Store

I purchased Neverwinter Nights 2 from the app store when it was on sale and I installed it on my iMac but now I cannot access it through the app store. When I click on it on my iMac I get a message that my request could not be completed. I have been trying to put it on my Macbook but I can't find it. Does anyone know what has happened to it?

Apparently it's not available from the App Store any longer.
Try your Applications folder just in case.
It's not available for iOS based apps at the iTunes Store either.
