Current location stuck in last location.

My current location is stuck in the last place I attempted to use the current location feature on Maps. At the time it said directions are unavailable at this time. I have restored the iPhone and backed it up to a date previous to this happening with iCloud. Still shows that I am at that old location. Any suggestions?

Any restrictions set up for location services in Settings/General/Restrictions?

I have an iPhone 3GS 16gb not jailbroken, that I just synced and updated to the latest fix. Before my google maps was working perfectly but since I updated it always gives me a current location that is about a half mile off in any direction. I have tried several hard resets to no avail. turning off my wifi, nothing. Turning off my location services-reset-then turn them back on, again nothing. Tried resetting network settings with the auto lock on never. Rebooted.. Nothing again..

yes, you can update to the latest iOS, that would be the first thing AppleCare would have you do
doing a restore and then putting your information right back on the device is not a troubleshooting step. If anything, you wipe out the issue and then have put it right back on your phone. It would be better to restore as new

How do I make my Timeline play forward or reverse depending on its current location?

I'm attempting to make a side scrolling site. I have a wide div set up in the main timeline that animates 1000px at a time on the x-coordinate between the labels I have set for each "page".
I would like to click a button and go to the associated label and stop. I am faced with 2 problems:
1. Sometimes this would require the playhead to move in reverse rather than forward.
2. I originally had stop triggers on the timeline under the labels but if I am able to get my first problem fixed these triggers would stop the animatin before reaching the label.
I'm just learning java so I'm guessing I need an if statement and a function.
Example of what I'm trying to figure out:
I want to press work button and play to label "work".
If I'm at label "home" I need to play(); and stop at label "work". If I were at label "blog" I would need to playReverse(); to label "work".
Please help! I've been going looney trying to figure it out!

My post may have been a little misleading...
I have a navigation bar with 5 items. Home, work, blog, about, contact. My main timeline has a symbol that is 6000px wide. Inside that symbol are individual symbols that make each of these "pages" which are 1000px each. My timeline has animations that last 1.5 secs each and animate the main symbol 1000px on the x dimension to stop on the main stage which is 1000px. Essentially it creates a 5 "page" side scrolling layout. I have the five labels on the timeline starting at 0s with "home", 1.5s labeled "work", 3s labeled "blog"... etc.
I wish to be able to click blog and travel forward or reverse on the timeline and then stop on "blog". Then If you click home you should reverse along the timeline and stop on "home". If I have any stop(); triggers on the timeline it would stop in transition to my target label without reaching it. In addition a generic play(); or playReverse(); doesnt target a specific label which is whats required for my navigation bar.
I need to play forward or reverse from the current location on the timeline and stop when it reaches a specific label. Visually you would be sliding back and forth across the pages as you use the navigation.
Is there a way to do this with variables?
I'm going to try triggers on the timeline like this sym.setVariable("pageValue", "home"); when on the "home" label. sym.setVariable("pageValue", "work"); when on the "work" label.
but then how would I tie that to my buttons?
If I click work and I'm on home I need it to check: var myVariable = sym.getVariable("pageValue"); and then an if or else statement I think? I'm such a noob. I'm trying really hard to grasp it
something like: if pageValue = "home" { sym.play();} else if pageValue = "blog","about","contact" {sym.playReverse} if pageValue = "work" {sym.stop();};
I know there is probably all kinds of syntax errors there but can someone understand what I'm getting at?
to make this even more tricky I am interacting with the stage with an html and css navigation bar that lays over the stage so I need this to be in function style (see code)

This works to play the stage in reverse but its not the functionality I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated and a great learning point for me and hopefully others in my situation!

I was facing the same issue with my Ipad - wifi.
I have found a simple solution for this but it needs you to have a iphone and period of one week.
if wifi router's mac address is not registered with apple's location services server, the location services on Ipad-wifi does not work, so we need to register wifi router's mac address to apple's server in first place.
If you have a iphone, then try to install 'Find my iphone' app. install it on your ipad also.
Initially when you login to this app with both iphone and ipad, only your Iphone will show location as it has GPS location. and your ipad location will not be reflected on this app.
If you continue to find your ipad using this app on you Iphone, and using your home wifi router, eventually after few days you would be able to track you ipad location, because your wifi router's mac address get registered on apple's server with its gps co-odridnates.
This has worked for my on 3 different wifi routers in last 8 months.

"new folder" to my current location workflow

hi, I'm brand new to Automator and am looking fro some help trying to do what i want. I need to create the same set of new (empty) folders in multiple locations. Trying to use Automator so i don't have to make 5 new folders and rename each one. (I'll be doing a few hundred of these). Ideally i'd like Automator to do this based on the folder that i'm in. Is there anyway to set the destination for the make new folder action to my current location?

ok. sort of nevermind my last post. i figured out that i have to enter the name of the folder that i want the new folders to go into in the "New Text Variable" field. However this kind of defeats the purpose of what i'm trying to do because i'd like to put a set of new folders into many different existing folders with different names. is there a way to call up an easy prompt to enter that different text, so i don't have to have automator running, or as i was originally hoping, a way to point to the currently selected folder without having to enter it's name.

IOS Maps cannot get my current location?

Wondering if anyone can help...I got a new internet modem last week..as my other modem stopped working properly. Beforehand, I was able to get my current location no problem. Since I got the new modem..my iPod Touch (5th Gen) cannot get my current location. All it says "Cannot Determine Location"
I ask Siri a question about my current location and it can't find my current location either, give me near businesses that I would like to go to e.g A Restuarant or give me local weather.
Any thoughts on what should I do...I have tried resetting the network settings and my last resort would be to restore my iPod as everything else on it is working perfectly.
My home address is not fully correct but worked with the last modem I had, and thought it might work with this new internet modem (WiFi) from the same company. Should I change it to the correct address as it should be or leave it alone?
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated on how to fix this problem. It's preety annoying

For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds
Make sure someone with an iPhone comes over and uses wifi at your house.

Animation up on mouseover, down on mouseout from current location

I'm trying to duplicate the way the URL links slide up from
the bottom at
http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/
but being a Flash newbie, I'm getting lost. I tried using a button
symbol to get the "over" event but that doesn't do a motion tween
type slide but instead just pops up. Just high-level guidance
should get me going (famous last words). Is that a graphic and then
Action Script moving to the next frame when the mouse over event
occurs or am I over complicating it?
I've found examples to start animation on mouseover and then
stop it on mouseout but I'm missing how to get it to go "up" on
mouseover and then go "down" from it's current location on
mouseout.

Each leaf should be a MovieClip symbol, with the animation inside of the symbol. The last frame of the animation needs a stop() action on it. That will keep the leaf at the bottom. Then its a matter of starting that animation on roll over.
With AS3, that would look like:

You would add that eventListener to all leaves. You can loop through them if you use a standard naming structure (like leaf_1,leaf_2,leaf_3,etc...) If you do that then you can do this:

I have the same problem sometimes when inside my house, on some occasions it shows the wrong location (1/4 mile out), when it does this, this is because it cannot get a GPS signal and instead triangulates the cellular network for a location. On other occasions it does not get GPS signal.
Has soon as I go outside the Map works fine and shows my exact location.

How do I move a picture so that it can be used in multiple projects without removing it from current location

I am organizing several hockey pictures and I am trying to make various projects from the pictures and sometimes I want the same picture in more than one project/album/etc.. Each time I duplicate the version in attempts to move just one of the versios, both are moved to new location and removed from current location. I would greatly appreciate help. Thank you

Think this:
Projects are _storage_ containers.
Albums are _viewing_ containers.
(In mind keep this: The naming of "Projects" is the worst interface decision made by Aperture's designers.)
The Image that is created when you import a digicam file is _stored_ in one and in only one container.
You can _view_ the Image in as many viewing containers as you want.
Store them by shoot unless you have a better, complete, workflow. Don't ever move them from their storage container, except to delete them.
View them by _output project (small "p")_. Create as many of these as you need.

Geolocation isn't supported in the Emulator. You'll have to set up a test case that gives the geolocation without relying on the Emulator.

If you open the Maps app where does that say you are located?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.

I am trying to get all web parts from our sharepoint site by calling web service method GetWebPartProperties of WebPartsPages service. The method works fine for the root page (Home Page) but for pages in sub site i get this in the xml
node, Outer XML - <WebParts xmlns="http://microsoft.com/sharepoint/webpartpages"></WebParts>. I am struck here.
Please help me understand why i am getting this?

2. Check whether current user has permission to access the page.
3. Use SPServices to get web part properties.

Filter rows from ALL_RT_AUDIT_EXECUTIONS via execution_audit_id, in processflow you can use predefined variable AUDIT_ID for currently running processflow audit id

How to obtain current location with in a flow

Hi,
This might be very basic level query, but i cant figure it out.
I want to extract the location with in a flow. ie in my proxy service i have multiple stages and with in each stage i am using some log actions to print some statements. I can see the log statement does shows the location where the 'log' is generated from. something like this

My Query is how i can obtain this string "*[Message Flow Pipeline, Message Flow Pipeline_request, stage1]" , in some variable, in my flow in case i need to log my current location somewhere.

I had already looked for any context variable which could provide the current location but no success!
The business scenario is:
Proxy request pipleline has saveral stages, from within each stage i have to make a java callout, which is basically a internal logging mechanism, with current location.
Currently i am using hard coded string value e.g. "[JMS Flow Pipleline, JMS Flow Pipeline_request, Stage 1]" or "[JMS Flow Pipleline, JMS Flow Pipeline_request, Stage 2]", which is pretty pathetic. Any ideas how can we obtain the current location, within a flow, and assign it to some variable like location etc???
I would like to use something like '$input/@name' which returns some string "ProxyServices$Template$Services$ProxyService"
I hope this explains bit more, however let me know if you need more clarification.
