Current Photoshop CC version?

Hi all -
I am using the subscription version of Photoshop CC and see that mine is listed as 14.2.1 x64 (and shown as Photoshop CC up in the header). Earlier I was viewing a Photoshop tutorial where they talked about a new Flame filter and I don't see it in my filter list. So - is my version of Photoshop current? I've done a Photoshop->Help->"Updates..." check and the Adobe Application Manager says I am current. Am I? Not sure why the Flame filter would not be available otherwise.

You need photoshop cc 2014.2. which is the latest version photoshop.
Open up the Creative Cloud Application and then under Update Applications i think it's listed at the top as an photoshop update.
(not sure why it's labeled as an update since it's a completely separate version from photoshop 14.2.1 and doesn't replace the older version)

It is a high order probability that your SQL's report generator is creating the PDF, not Acrobat (which by design and EULA cannot be used in as/with server).
That the report generator outputs to an old-old version of PDF bears this out.
Wiki articles on PDF are very nice for those high level intro summaries.
To know / understand PDF you purchase and study the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1:2008).
Rather than "PDF validation" you may want to consider addressing the appearent root cause of the problem(s).
You can change the email2fax application to one that can deal with older PDF versions.
You can change the report generator to one that can output to the ISO Standard.
(Perhaps the in-use application can be configured to output to the current version of PDF (i.e., the ISO Standard).

Is the oil paint filter included with the current Photoshop CC I have CS5 but I cant seem to find the plugin for pixel bender and may have to buy the CC version

Comparison between Photo Deluxe Bus. Edition and current Photoshop programs?

I'm still using Photo Deluxe with Windows XP, and I know the XP emulator on Windows 7 Pro should allow PD to still work, but the next OS may not.
Can someone who's familiar with Adobe Photo Deluxe Business Edition and Photoshop tell me what current version of Photoshop will give me the same abilities as Photo Deluxe Business Edition did? (Or will come the closest.)
If anything possible in Photo Deluxe just CAN'T be done with current Photoshop programs, could you also specify what those lost features would be?

"I transitioned from Deluxe 2 to Photoshop Elements (V. 1 and now 2) last year. I do the same kind of projects as you and really enjoy using Elements. Elements is much closer to providing the same functionality as the pricier Photoshop. The interface has less obnoxious "guide me" kinds of presentations that mar Deluxe and allows you to control the amount of application-provided help to a greater degree than with Deluxe. The only thing Elements lacks that Photoshop offers are color management and separation functions for commercial printing.
Elements also has some tricks that Photoshop doesn't, especially the Photomerge feature. This lets you stitch (or rather blend) two or more images into one. I use it a lot in scanning items that are larger than my scanner window. Also great for panoramic shots and artsy collages.
Opinion: Elements is far superior to Deluxe. The clone tool alone is worth the new software."
Note: Believe they are now on Photoshop Elements 11, so should be even better. Still under $100 I believe.

jpg does not support Layers.
Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?

I currently have iTunes version 7 and I need to upgrade to version 10. I am afraid of losing all my music if I just download 10 and when I use the "Check for updates" in the version 7 help menu, it tells me the server cannot be contacted.

Back up your music and install from the website. You probably won't need to do this, but if your library is erased, restore it from the backup.

HOw can I transfer my old photoshop cs version 8 onto my new computer?

I have an older mac computer (10.4.11) with Photoshops cs version 8. Id did not get transferred onto my new mac computer, so i had to buy Elements when I got the new one. I am very much missing the "pen" tool! Is there any way I can upgrade my photoshop cs Version 8 and put it on my Mac 10.7 5 so that I can go back to using the pen tool? Or is there anything that I can substitute for the pen?? The quick select is not discriminating enough, and I can't get it to select my image properly.HELP!!!!

out of the upgrade loop for photoshop.
Lion uses an intel processor and photoshop cs is an PowerPC application that needs an PowerPc processor
and lion can't us rosetta to run some older PowerPC applications.
Besides buying photoshop cs6 or subscribing to the creative cloud for photoshop cc

We have Windows XP but are buying a new computer that has windows Vista, will Adobe Photoshop CS Version 8 install on my new computer?

It should install and it should run but, because of the age discrepancy, CS is not officially supported by Adobe on Vista.

Can PhotoShop Elements Version 1 be installed on a Windows 7 64-bit computer?

I have been running Photoshop Elements Version 1 on a Windows XP machine. I have a new Acer desktop pc running Windows 7 64-bit. I am trying to install this old PhotoShop Elements V1 program from the original installation CD and as soon as I select "US English" and click "Next" I get a brief hourglass as if it is proceeding with the installation, but nothing happens and no message about failure comes back ... it is just as if I never put in the CD. Is this ancient version of PE even compatible?

Go to the Purchases tab in App Store and click on the Mountain Lion download. See if there is a Resume option.
There also might be an icon in the Dock where you can try the same.
I can't remember from Snow Leopard what it shows when you are downloading.

Adobe camera raw and the nikon D80 in photoshop CS version 8

How can I open RAW files from my nikon D80 in photoshop CS version 8 ? At the moment I have to open and edit my RAW files through Nikon View NX and then convert the files to Jpeg, dump them in a folder and then re-open them as Jpegs in photoshop, it's a very frustrating process so I'd really appreciate it if anyone can tell me how I can open them straight into photoshop, I really can't take this cross platform editing !!!! You need Adobe camera raw version 8.7. Unfortunately your software pre-dates the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

I now am able to open the old catalog again!! I tried now several times with the new shortcut.
Thank you very much indeed for ALL YOUR EFFORT and patients with me.
You suggest now I should click on the repair button. When I do so, the catalog will be overwritten, or I can choose not to overwrite and than the catalog will be twice as big. So I decided not to click on the repair button. When I see afterwards that some functions do not work anymore, I allways can use the repair button. As far as I can see now nothing is lost.. )
As far as I understood it is only possible to repair with a backup. Happily I made that allways, but I am afraid to use it, for the reason above.
When I have more time to spare, I will look for all the foto's from the apps of my cellphone and delete them.
Now I can finish my fotowork, what I had started before, and make Photoshop Elements again the main fotoprogram on my desktop.
