Current SAP BI version and patches

Dear Friends,
I have to suggest client as following.
1. System Hardware requirements, release of SAP BI and sizing.
2. SAP BI Best practices information that is suitable for client.
Please help me out for these above 2 points.
Before post this message, i checked few SAP sites and find information on new release for SAP BI "SAP NetWeaver® 7.0 Support Package Stack 15 including BI Content Add-On 3 SP 09".  Correct me if i'm wrong, if it is an old version then what is the new version of SAP BI.
Please respond for this posted query ASAP.

    also
I am currently working on MDM 7.1, but wanted to know which service pack I am working on........ where exaclty I can I see this information.(I mean where can I see the version, service pack, patch and other details)
In the console->help , I have seen the version , and  [7.1.00.75],  does this mean something ? pls exp.
    Please share your thoughts
    Thanks,
    ve

    Hi Veena,
Current MDM version available is MDM 7.1 SP05.
Scheduled upcoming MDM version as per my understanding would be MDM 7.2 not MDM 7.3
In console help, you can check the build number of MDM.
1st four characters tells about the version and Support package and last three letters are not exactly Patch.
It means that you are on MDM 7.1 SP00
Yes, you can download it from Service Market Place if you have access and right to download MDM.
Please refer similar thread to check path to download MDM : How to get MDM 7.1? Please tell me the download link.
Also check this link where you can get everything about MDM 7.1, Please refer MDM upgrade guide which you need to follow. https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/installMDM71
@ Deepak, See i am using MDM Server Build (7.1.03.69) that does not mean i am using Patch 69,
You can check [SAP Note 1425021|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1425021] where Patch is 19 not 69

  • Best Practice: SAPGUI Version and Patch Upgrades

    Hello -
Does anyone have some thoughts/information on best practices relating to SAPGUI version and patch upgrades.
Obviously, sometimes upgrades are forced upon us (e.g. 7.10 for Vista) and in other cases it may just be considered "nice to have".
Either way - it always signifies regression test and deployment effort.  How do we balance the benefit and cost?
    Thanks, Steve

    Hi Steve,
you're right for the first part, yes, we (usually) patch twice a year.
    Now for the rest
An uninstall will only happen on release changes (6.20->6.40->7.10), i. e. about every 4-5 years as SAP releases them.
Patches are applied to the installation server and the setup on the client will only update changed program parts. For example, upgrading 6.40->7.10 took about 10 minutes (incl. uninstall), applying patch 1 less than 5 minutes.
I recommend, you read the "SAP Frontend Installation Guide - 7.10" which you find at SMP alias sapgui. Navigate to  Media Library - Literature. It explains setup of the installation server (sounds like a big thing, but ain't much more than creating a share), creating packages, applying updates etc.

    Points always appreciated

  • DB Version and Patch level

    Hi Friends
Where can i see DB2 Version and patch level on ECC 6.0?
    For Windows Database : DB2 or DB6??
    Patch level?
    Thanks
    srinivas

    Hi Srinivas,
DB6 is a SAP abbreviation for "DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows" .
The DB2 version and FP level of your database server can be found in SAP transaction ST04 or DBACOCKPIT.
In SM50 you can view the work process traces to display the server and client level
    C  Running with UTF-8 Unicode
    C  Running with CLI driver
    C
    C Wed Oct 21 17:03:27 2009
    C  DB2 client driver version '09.05.0001'
    C  Connected to DB2 server type 'DB2/LINUXX8664'
    C  Connected to DB2 version '09.05.0002'
If you need more detailed information you have to use "db2level" in a DB2 CLP window on the DB server.

  • UDO SAP Note 804685 and Patch 14

    Hello,
one of the feature in the patch 14 of Business One is :
<i>Add records to UDO tables using the DI API - Problematic, Note 804685</i>
I looked everywhere in the MarketPlace but I can't find this note (804685)
I really need to be able to save data in the UDO with the DI.
Somebody has some information about it ?
    Thank you

    Hi Sébastien,
I have an answer from SAP about this questio. I paste it:
    Hello,
The note is not yet released, but it refers to the following bug.
"Get -4002 Error while trying to load records into User table from
Master Data type which is related to a User Defined Object.
The following code does not work:
    oUserTable.Code = 1
    oUserTable.Name = "FirstValue"
    RetVal = oUserTable.Add
Following is the full error message that is recieved:
"-4002:[ONNM], 'Generating this document requires numbering
to be determined for the document'".
    The solution is described below
There is a way to automatically fill your object's user tables:
This option has a bug which is planned to be fixed in a patch!
Create a text file containing all the records you are interested to
import to your object table. This text file will be read while
registering your object by the UDO registration wizard.
Create a text file with all you table's records. Name it TableName.txt
    e.g. OLPO.txt
Create a new folder under SAP Business One's folder. Name it "TEMP_LS".
Copy your file e.g. "OLPO.txt", into the folder e.g. "TEMP_LS".
The registration wizard will copy the records into your User TBLS while
    registering the UDO.
For more information please refer to the UDO documentation under:
Extending the business Logic => CSboBusinessObject => Virtual Methods =>
    On Create Defaults
If this doesn't help or you are getting a different error.
Please provide the error message you are getting and also detailed step
    to reproduce the issue.
It doesn't help us very much now !!!!!!!!!!
    regards.

  • I have firefox 10.0.2 installed but everytime I open up firefox I get a message that says I am not currently using this version and I need to update to the latest version and why won't firefox support printing mac coupons

my firefox info shows that I am using 10.0.2 but I keep getting a repeated message when I open it saying I'm not using the most recent version.
Even tho the mac coupon printer says firefox supports this install it doesn't allow me to print it.

    Hi cleopt,
You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. That page is no longer being maintained by Google.
You should try changing your home page to:

If you don't know how to change the home page, you should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].
    Hopefully this helps

  • SAP versions and product naming explained ?

    Hi,
I'm looking for some reference document explaining SAP product versions and naming through all release cycle.
    thanks
    Vilius

    Hi,
    Roughly it looks like,
New name for BASIS is now Netweaver.
BASIS was also once called WebAS.
New name for R/3 is now ECC.
New name for Netweaver 2004s is Netweaver 7.0.
Industry solution is an add-on made up for specific industry needs.
    R/3 4.6c is part of BASIS 4.6c
    R/3 4.7 is part of WebAs 6.20
ECC 5.0 is part of Netweaver '04
ECC 6.0 is part of Netweaver 7.0
    Netweaver 2004 never existed, it's either '04 or 2004s.

  • _Patch level in SAP HANA Note and _Build No in SAP HANA

    Hello Hana Gurus!
I need to know where can I find the patch level in the SAP HANA and SAP HANA Notes
For example, if I want to apply a note
    http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1964428
    there is specified:
    Software Component
    Support Package
    Patch Level
    SAP HANA DATABASE 1.00
    SP069
    2
    SP070
    0
Ok. I read a lot of sources and understand the following:
To know the HANA Studio version:
    Help->About SAP HANA Studio.
    It will be like
    Version: 1.0.27
    Build id: 201205021925 (361805)
Here 1.0.27 means -> 1.0 version and Revision is 27 and Build No is : 361805
Re: From Studio, how to know the  HANA DB Version
That is, if we apply 1964428 note, the system is upgraded to SP069 and SP070. Is that correct?
But what Patch Level means in this (and some other) note (value 2 and 0)?
Where I can check Patch Level in the HANA?
And, what are figures Build No indicate
    UPD:
Here Re: Where we can check Patch leveles in HANA? referred to a certain table "M_HOST_CONFIGURATION". But in my system it does not exist. or tell me where to find it?
Message was edited by: Tom Flanagan

    Hi Kirisetti,
    please findanswers in italics
    1)
I understand the database version and the studio version is not the same thing. But why do they match my system (see picture)? Or still the same thing?
By the way, to see the version of the database I used table SYS.M_DATABASE
A revision is released with all HANA components are part of the revision release and not just HANA DB server. So it is always ideal that you have all HANA components on same version as in your case. However is is technically feasible that you are usinga older version of Studio to connect to a newer version of HANA DB server. so Help-> About Studio would give you version of the studio and "select version from SYS.M_DATABASE" gives you version of the HANA DB server.
    2)
and for the version and patch level
1.0.69.02 would mean HANA DB is on Revision 69 , patch 02
1.0.70.00 would mean HANA DB is on Revision 70
Soultion for the problem is to update your HANA DB to revision 69, patch 2 or Revision 70.
Did I understand correctly, if the note indicated Patch Level = 0, then we simply speak about updating to Revision, implying that no Patch Level? Or how it can be understood?
I'm assuming here you wish to know if you are downloading the right software for the update.
if there is a patch mentioned it is available as "Mantainence Revision <rev no>.<patch no>" for download and if there is no patch level mentioned(patch level = 0) they is avaliable as "Revision <rev no.>". Also update procedure for both Revision and patch is the same.
    3)
Did I understand correctly, the first figure in the Build number (Build id) indicates the Patch Level? How it is possible to interpret the Build number (Build id) more? These figures represent something?
This build number is something that comes out of build repositiory. HANA version mentioned in all notes and guide refer to just the Revision number and patch level currently. You can ignore the build number
