I am new to my company and would like to verify what service pack and hot fix(es) they have applied so that I can make sure they are current.  Is there any way to tell?
Running BOE XI R2 on Windows Server 2003...
Thanks!

Hi Mark,
I recently contacted SAP support about service packs for Edge 3.1. THe SP for Enterprise 3.1 has been out for months now, and it's really atrocious that Edge hasn't received the same.
Anyway, the courteous support rep initially told me that the Ege 3.1 SP had been release, but then retracted that and said it was expected in the next few months - likely before end of year.
How's that for helpful!!

Jim Payton

<i><b>Note: our Middleware and Backend both are in the same server.</b></i>
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated and rewarded too.
    Regards,
    Murthy

    Hi Murthy,
MAM 3.0 backend minimum requirements are:
    R/3 4.6C (minimum SP53) with SAP R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 (Minimum SP13)
    R/3 4.7 (Minimum SP 27) with SAP R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 (Minimum SP13)
    ERP 2004 (Minimum SP11) with SAP R/3 Plug-in 2004.1 (Minimum SP14)
    ERP 2005 (Minimum SP6), no Plug-in required
Please be aware that you will need to apply quite a few notes even if you are on the latest SP level for any of this backends.
MAM 3.0 central note references backend central notes for various supported backend. You should take care that appropriate note is analysed and all notes are implemented.

  • Current Service Pack/Fix Pack of Xcelsius 2008?

I have Xcelsius Version 5.1.2  (build 12.1.2.439) installed on a server.
    When I click "Manage Add-Ons" I get a C++ run time error.
On another server I have 5.0.0.99 (build 12.1.0.247).  That version seems to allow me to manage add-ons.
What service pack/fix pack do I need to install on top of 5.1.2 to allow me to manage add-ons?
    Thanks...Marv

    Hi Marv,
If you are on Windows Vista you need to disable UAC...
Also Xcelsius 2008 SP2 is now out so I'd upgrade to that and try again...

Now I have to increase the Service pack from 9 to 12
What Should I do for this and how to do.Please tell me the procedure.I would be grateful for your help

PI7.0 contains both ABAP & JAVA stack.
You must upgrade patch level 9 to 12 for both stack.
Only JSPM upgrade is not enough. go through service.sap.com/sp-stacks and see patch level for each components  for ABAP & JAVA stack.
1st upgrade ABAP patches then go for Java patches.

  • Service Pack level

    Hi,
Does anyone know how often it is recommended to raise the SP level (how many times a year). Currently our system is BW3.5 SP10.
    Thanks
    Sarah

We apply SPs 3 or 4 times a year.  We're 3.5 SP14.  We'be applying SP 15 shortly.  We'll apply a couple of SPs at a time some times, but if you get too far behind, it can become a large effort to catch up.
As others have said, it really depends on your environment, e.g.
    - availability and experience of staff
    - do you have a window between development projects, year end, etc.
    - all the related components that might need to be updated
We shoot to apply to Dev and within one or two weeks apply to QA, and another 2 or 3, go to Prod.

  • Upgrade to CRM 2007: minumun service pack level for other components

    Hi all,
I have to upgrade my CRM 5.0 to CRM 2007. CRM is connected to ECC 6.0 and SCM 5.0. What are the minimum SP level for those component? Is there any link to documentations about mandatory SP for not CRM components?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello
In the CRM 2007 Master Guide which is available in the [SAP Service Marketplace|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000704565&] I found that SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 3 is recomended and SAP R/3 4.6C SP 53 is the minimum version. No special version is mentioned for SCM 5.0.

  • Service Pack Level for IDM 7.2

I tried searching and checking in the Identity Center > About Identity Center I was able to see System Info. But once I click the System Info button I am receiving an error "System Information is Unavailable at this time".
I also checked already in the usr files of the installation but wasnt able to see any logs in the files.
Does anyone know any other steps on how to check SP Level?
    Thank you in advance.

  • Upgrade Service Pack 4.0 - MS SQL 2000

    Hi
We are at MS SQL 2000 SP3.0. We are planning to upgrade the SP to level 4.0. I need to know the steps involves, any issue that need to aware off.
    Thanks
    Yuva

    Hello Yuva,
It is a good idea to move to SP4. SAP note 417089 thoroughly discusses the installation of SQL Server 2000 Service Packs in an SAP system. Please read it carefully. SAP note 62988 contains quite a bit of detail on various SQL Server Service Packs and hot fixes.
All in all, the application of SP4 is easy and straightforward.

  • Crystal Reports Service Pack 2

Do I need to install Crystal Reports Service Pack 1 and all the hotfixes before I install SP2 or is it all inclusive?

    Hi,
It is not mandatory to install  service pack and hot fixes for SP 2.
If we have the set up with crystal reports XI R2 with SP2 then we can install them directly.
Try to run the set up which we have and check with the version number 11.5.3.417 is with SP1.
Then we can  install SP2 directly on SP1.
If we have only crystal reports installed on our machine then we have 11.5.0.883 version.
If we have  SP2  installed on our machine then version no is 11.5.8.826.
    Thanks,
    Naveen.

  • WLE 5.1 latest Service Pack

What is the current service pack level for WLE 5.1?
Is this available for download anywhere?
    Thx.
    MacDuff

WLE does not have the service pack model that WLS has. For WLE you need
to contact BEA support to get the latest rolling patch for the WLE
version you have. They will then point you at a site where you can pick
up that specific kit for your platforms. It is not available as a
    web-site download.

  • Which Fix Pack is included in which Service Pack?

I found no exhaustive documentation on that.
E.g. Fix Pack 2.6 is out now but I noticed that is also a new Fix Pack for Service Pack 1, namely Fix Pack 1.11 .
If I am a User of Crystal Reports 2008 and have Service Pack 2 applied, which Fix Pack do I have to apply to get the fixes of FP 1.11 ? Do I have to wait for Fix Pack 2.7 then? Or did Fix Pack 2.6 also include Fix Pack 1.11?
This is so confusing. I found no answers to these questions in the release notes.

    Hello,
Previous versions of CR did not always follow the same versioning rules. We are now matching major and minor versions with Fix Packs to Service Packs.
With Cr 2008 the major number of the Fix pack is the major number of the Service Pack. In your case if you are on SP 2 then Fix Pack 2.x can be applied. You cannot apply FP 1.11, that is for people still on SP 1.
Fix Pack 2.7 is now available: https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100005755702010E/cr2008fp27.exe

  • What correct Service Pack and Fix Patch upgrade path?

I have installed Xcelsius 2008 Engage. I have version 5.0.0.99  build 12,0,0,121. I am assuming this is the base installation.
There have been a number of packs and patches released. I need to if I have comprehended.  Is sequence below correct:
    1. Crystal Xcelsius 2008 u2013 Service Pack 1
    2. Xcelsius 2008 SP1 Fix Pack 1
    3. Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 1 u2013 Fix Pack 2
    4. Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 1 u2013 Fix Pack 3
    5. Xcelsius 2008 Service Pack 2
    6. Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP2 Fix Pack 2.1
    Other consideration:
I have heard much discussion about Xcelsius.msi. Is this file in (1) above and does (2) above require it to be available.
    I am using Windows 7.0
Any other suggestion to avoid a painful process

    Hi,
I'll answer some of your questions:
You can just install the base version and then SP2 + FP 2.1. No need to install SP1 and the related fix packs.
.msi is just an installer file - once you've installed Xcelsius this will not be used anymore.
I'm not sure that Xcelsius is supported on Windows 7.
    Best regards,
    Jacob
